Dear Seeker,
I noticed you searched yesterday for the term ‘Juno conjunct Jupiter marriage.’ I have no idea who you are, so I hope you won’t feel intruded upon that I’m addressing this directly; after all, the only thing you were doing was looking for answers.
I admit, I felt a little start when I saw the phrase; the first thing that went through my mind was, ‘This person may have big trouble!’ I know, it’s not a very diplomatic thought! But the concept of an expansion or magnification of the Juno nature within a relationship is not necessarily a pretty one. ‘Why?’ you ask, ‘Isn’t Juno a marriage indicator, and contact is a positive sign that two people are meant to be together?’ And my answer to that would have to be, No.
Briefly, here’s why: Juno/ Hera and Zeus/ Jupiter enjoyed a three hundred year honeymoon, but the second they returned home to Mt. Olympus the fur started to fly (literally: Zeus had a taste for ladies-as-animals). The after-honeymoon relationship consisted of Zeus doing whatever he wanted, and Juno angry, vengeful, and punishing over his transgressions. His lack of respect for the marital relationship in general, and his goddess wife in particular, is the core of the potential downfall of a strong Juno connection.
So, much would depend upon the sign, situation, and aspects of this conjunction–is it between the charts, or within one partner’s chart? If it’s interchart, which partner has the Juno, which the Jupiter? Is this a man and woman, or two men or women? It’s important to ask the right questions, as Juno functions differently in the chart of a woman than it does in the chart of a man. In a woman’s chart Juno is about Self-empowerment, specifcally that enjoyed through relationship, while in a man’s chart Juno suggests what kind of person and behaviors he will see as ‘wifely’ or appropriate to a mate or other partner.
Now, one possible exception to the more negative scenarios would be that this shows a true uniting of Juno and her husband (Jupiter). With positive contacts with other planets and points, and with no stressful attitudes related to the Juno of either chart, there’s some chance that Juno in one chart conjunct Jupiter in the partner’s chart would be a very good, even a prime instance, when Juno does indeed promise marital bliss (or at least, it might keep the relationship in a perpetual honeymoon period, which is probably the very best thing we can hope for with an interactive Juno).
So, Seeker, if you should happen to wander back here, and would like to know the skinny on your situation from my point of view, please leave the horoscopic particulars in the comments section, and I’ll take a look and offer what I can.
And if I don’t hear from you, I wish you the very best of luck and happiness.

hm. it may have been me. I know I found your site via a juno search. my own juno and jupiter are widely conjunct in the twelfth (out of sign leo/cancer)and the composite has the same juno/jupiter separation (taurus/aries)in the seventh.
whether this was me or not (oy, neptune…) I truly appreciate your explanation above. thanks!

as far as the book form, I prefer a hard copy though I might buy an ebook instead were the price smaller (depending on my money situation at the time).

Hi Lara,
I don’t think the search was by you–it just happened on the 12th, and I think we’ve spoken before that–but I took a look at your two charts in comparison. Briefly, my assessment is that this is a solid relationship, with significant Saturn involvement and some ‘classic’ mating indicators such as your Venus (symbol of you as a woman) conjunct his Sun (his Soul intent and a symbol of his identity). Your Jupiter/ Juno conjunction opposes his Saturn/ Jupiter conjunction, with your conjunction falling in his 7th; his Juno is in Aquarius and describes his idea of a partner/ mate as being someone intellectually astute, ready to go her own way, unafraid to be individual, ahead of the pack, and with an artistic flair. Jupiter, involved in the Juno picture, rules his 5th of romantic partner. His Venus (representing his image of an ‘ideal woman’) is conjunct your Pallas in Aries–when you act with wisdom, are willing to offer guidance, and utilize your many skills, he sees this as in some way ideal. His Vesta trines your Juno, and conjuncts your Saturn–when you are feeling empowered, it turns him on! And he may be very motivated to create a shelter for you, either literally or figuratively. In many ways you garner his respect and are very much what he wants in a mate.
Overall, an excellent blending of personalities, with many needs and ideals fulfilled–congrats!
And Thanks for weighing in on the book matter–
Julie

Oops! Sorry–I didn’t see your second post until after I finished–but it was fun to look at your charts–most pairings don’t contain as many strong and sympathetic cross-chart aspects as yours
Thanks for sharing!

oh thank you so much Julie! with neptune on my DC it’s so hard for me to know if my positive thoughts on the relationship are real or just illusion! truly, thank you. I’m going to copy this into a document so I can soothe my hologram fears when they pop up again! I really should listen to my heart more; he is so very good to me.
I’m looking forward to getting the above-linked book from amazon. I had it shipped by slow boat around the cape, I believe. 😉

Hi….My birthday is Nov. 29, 1959 2:28pm (New York). My progressed Juno is conjunct my natal Jupiter in Saggitarius (with a Scorpio cusp/6th house progressed), and my progressed Saturn is in Capricorn (with a Sagg cusp/7th house progressed)….they are all in the same degree….does this indicate marriage? Or involvement with someone who is married? Would love to know!
Thank you,

Hi Trish,
I don’t use secondary progressions except to check timing, for the most part. I took a quick look at your chart–with Juno in the 7th relationship may be a big focus for you. One may be coming forward as early as late November, and you have a window of about 1 1/2 years when something significant is possible (SA Venus to N Jupiter). But then, you did read the article, right? The biggest lesson is, don’t pin your relationship hopes on Juno!
Best of luck,
Julie

Hi Julie, I’ve been trying to determine why there is such an intense push-me, pull-you effect going on here. I can see where the attraction comes from with his Sun conj my Asc and North node and the Venus sq. Moon on both sides with his Moon and my Venus being a critical cardinal point. Then his Sun/Moon midpoint hits my Venus on one side and Neptune on the other, along with a lot of other good contacts. I guess I was wondering if his Saturn opp my Mercury or if his Juno opp my Zeus is the push me part of this situation.

Hi Allie!
I assume you’re the initial seeker who asked this question, so I took a look at your charts. Though you make some good points, the cherry picking obscures the main picture, which, in my opinion, is that, though there are a few exciting contacts here, there are a lot of squares and sesquiquadrates, especially among the personal planets, and that spells essential discord. The charts also lack enough firm Saturn contact for my taste, as that would spell long-term connection. The outer planets show better cross-chart connections, but this suggests philosophical and world view similarities that can make us think the contacts will flesh out in a more personal way, though this is not supported in the personal contacts. His Juno does sextile your Venus, suggesting that as a woman you are highly appealing to him as a mate, but his Mars lacks support from your placements, and many of the gender related contacts are ‘switched,’ with your masc. planets contacting his feminine–and this often makes for underlying unease. His Mars in your 1st contributes to the strong pull, but the Moons are sesquiquadrate each other showing basic, continual requirements for adjustment, and your Mars is quincunx his Moon, wherein you might perpetually challenge his emotional reality; as well, your Chiron is opposed his Moon, and that can bring either hurt or healing to the surface.
I wish I could offer a more positive picture–it’s clear that you’re both responding to a handful of strong contacts, but it appears there’s little that will result in deep emotional satisfaction, and few long-term possibilities. But then, sometimes reality defies astrology!
Best of Luck, and best wishes to you both,
Julie

Thanks Julie. I am just a lowly novice at this. I have been doing a study on several charts. I have a small group of couples who feel that they are twin flames/soul mates and I’ve been doing the comparison with them as well as my friend and I here. Perhaps I have given too much weight to the Composite and Davidson charts where I find that often times some of those squares and semisquares seem to disappear and a strength between them comes to view. I have also seen some of the couples whose charts look worse than mine that will swear they are spiritual soul mates and deeply in love and happily married. And then another couple whose natal synastry looks pretty good until you do a composite or Davidson on them and you find that Venus conj Saturn conj Sun conj Vertex all inconj Asc and Pallus and the Moon semisq Venus. Then no connection with Juno. But the Synastry looks great. And often there seems to be zero spiritual connection so boy, do I have a lot to learn. And I do get a bit confused with the relationship comparisons. Which combination carries what strength with regard to mid-points and sensitive points and when to use Composite versus Davidson versus Synastry. So I do have so very much to learn. It’s a shame about my friend and I the Composite looks good with Saturn trining Venus and Mercury and a nice strong Mystic Rectangle and several grand trines but the truth will out itself always. It’s nice to have a professional opinion, at least now I know what to look at. Thank you so much for your help.
