The Scorpio Moon is on the move (as if the Moon ever lingers!) squaring Mars, then sextiling the Sun/ Venus meeting in Capricorn. The likely effect is one of needing to act but perhaps being too angry, frustrated, or unsure in choice of direction, and then being presented with a kind of opposite, a soothing, loving, or happy situation that makes you wonder why you were so bent on pushing forward in the first place! Accept the contradiction, accept that things are going to be stirred up, that you may get glimpses of both harsh feelings and joyful experience. Just do your best to ride the Scorpionic wave, with attention on the sensations and emotional reactions that come up.
By the time the Moon hits a sextile to the North Node (starting 6 PM hour PST), opposition to Sedna, and squares to Chiron, Neptune, and Jupiter, we may be worn out. Just as direction seems clear, we realize we have no idea where we’re going–and then we meet conflict with our own sense of woundedness, our ideals and fantasies, and through feedback from the social arena. It makes for a trying Saturday evening.
If we’re willing to tune in to routine, duty, rules, and roles (Sun/ Venus/NN in Cap) we get the most benefit. Though decidedly unglamorous, this can be highly beneficial, allowing us to find the enjoyment and reward available in taking care of business, and coloring inside the lines.

Not easy to act today and I feel worn out already: one meter of snow fell yesterday, no electricity for 22 hours… whether it’s Mercury retro or the Scorpio Moon I’m not sure, but I’ll try to ride the wave nonetheless!
Thanks for what you’re doing, Julie.
Thank you, katia! Hope the weather is being kinder soon–and I know what you mean, when exhaustion seems to be in the air, and there seems to be little that can be done about it! Not the most fun, but I think it might be the Universe’s way of saying, ‘Just take it easy for a bit.’ jd

Hi Julie. I like this idea of a daily diary 🙂
How would you interpret transit Moon in conjunction with a person’s natal Moon? Is it a period of us becoming more or less in touch with our unconscious habits?
I always monitor my feelings extra closely when the Moon is in Scorpio to compare with the rest of the month…
Hi Jara, and thank you!
This is a good question. The monthly Lunar Return is the time when we’ll respond emotionally in our most characteristic manner–and yes, we can, if not actually consciously become more aware of our unconscious habits (this might depend on other natal and transiting factors) at least see much more directly than usual the resultsof our unconscious inclinations. Monitoring your feelings at the time of the Return is an excellent idea, and will surely (especially over time) tell you a great deal about your emotional state and the terms under which your unconscious influences your life.
