I see this weekend as a really volatile time (see details here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/) and as I don’t repeat myself, I’ll only add a few observations here. Of course, the blog, magazine, and Twitter comments are meant to provide a full and continually updated picture, with the mag holding major information on the biggest effects (and here’s where I want to say Thank You to those who’ve bought the magazine–you made my dream of a viable publication of my own come true!)–at only $2.95 for 3 months of forecast information, plus articles, I think it’s worth ponying up for if you really want my opinion–and if you don’t, you likely have other favorites, which makes what I say here on the blog, for free, just a little extra sauce on the pudding 🙂
So, what I would add as the way to handle the weekend energies is that anticipation is 99 percent of the game; that we don’t have to go down the rabbit hole, that in fact we’ll be able to side step the whole difficulty (or at least make our participation peripheral, at worst)–because the aspects say to me a whole lotta calamity and missteps are possible, on a personal, group, national, and global scale, and the more disengaged we remain (and I mean that in the sense of avoiding being assertive, blindly putting our energy out there in an unconsciously pugnacious attempt to get something going). If we instead can remain genuinely neutral (and I say ‘genuinely’ because those of us riding the passive-aggressive float in this parade will be the most susceptible, vulnerable, and disaster-prone) we can ride this out with a minimum of upset.
It may not sound terribly progressive to say, “Shhh, sit down for now, and let it all go by,” but that’s been the feeling for a while now, and this weekend will be a kind of magnificent magnifier of what are already normally challenging energies (see the last few posts for a refresher, and check the magazine for material on Uranus into Aries and its retrograde, the Chiron effect, and so on), and those who can’t both physically and psychically remove themselves from the contentious fray will be caught like ants under the magnifying glass of a particularly indifferent child (probably just an Aquarius, experimenting!) Watch the Sun, the Nodes, Uranus, as they interact with your natal chart–these are the hot points. Surrender any idea that you are superior to the influences of others or your own unconscious, let go of the belief that you are impervious to attracting conflict or disaster, and recognize that, indeed, there is a lot going on in the world that could surprise you, and that might intrude upon your life, and you will be much better able to deal with whatever the Universe dishes up. And good things can happen, too–it’s just that you rarely need my help with those!
Moment of Truth: 7-9 AM PDT on the 3rd (Moon conjunct Uranus).

Hey Julie, just want to say thanks as always for your insightful and intelligent commentary. The energy has certainly been strange! Happy independence day – stay safe and cool.
Thanks, Lainie, and the same to you–safe and cool!

You, are once again, on the mark!
I, too, feel this so strongly that I just, knock on wood, accept whatever comes my way knowing I am being guided by events beyond my control. I truly feel relieved not to be tugging and pulling.
Maybe that’s a surrender from exhaustion. But it is awesome to view the surface outcomes at work and at home.

Thanks, Donna, and much luck!

After reading this i feel like hiding at home all weekend… and maybe the cancelled plans from potential date is for the best. i’ll try to duck under the wave.
thanks again for such great skill, and your mag. is definitely worth it.
Thanks, Rae, you’re very kind–but I hope you won’t go hide–just, as you say, duck under the wave–you’ll be better than okay!

Uranus `just happens` to be directly on my Natal Moon as well.
I am feeling this ominous chaos escalating.
Hi Z! Not an easy transit, at all. You might find some emotional refuge in group identity–but there’s no cure-all for this one–good luck!

Thanks for sharing a link to my deck 🙂 We had quite an eventful eclipse weekend over in Toronto with the G20 Summit! But I always think that it’s the aftermath of a crisis and the struggle to reestablish order that’s more challenging than the crisis itself.
You’re very welcome 🙂 And quite eloquently you’ve put your finger on the heart of what we face with every eclipse–
