Have you had a hard time concentrating lately? I’m just starting to sharpen my own attention; whether it’s from the virus or the retrograde or the Full and creative Pisces Moon, I don’t know, I only know that I seem to be waking up. It’s a little like one of those dreams where you are riding along, a passenger in a car, and suddenly you realize it’s careening out of control and you may be the only one around to stop it–in this case, the careening car seems to be summer, winding down fiercely and suddenly and making me feel as if I’ve somehow missed a month during this drowsing heat.
Well I’ve finally, after much prodding and friendly poking, joined Facebook. I have no idea what I’m doing–so just search Julie Demboski’s Astrology if you’d like to write on my wall, enter a discussion, or whatever else we can do there–I find the whole thing disorienting! And if you’re wondering why I did it during the Merc retro, it’s because I believe this is a good time to give things you once discarded another try. The jury’s still out on whether it all makes sense for me. I tried linking my Twitter account to it and it wouldn’t take, and tried adding a Facebook button to this site–and neither worked. Keep me posted, and I’ll keep you posted! I did find an excellent and informative article on Facebook usage by Neeti Ray, read it, and now can’t find it again! Ahh Mercury, you tricky fella! And to those of you who’ve noticed: no, that’s not my real birthday on FB–I feel too naked giving it out in a really really public forum like that!
The Earth today and tomorrow is quincunx Saturn and sextile Pluto, making dealing with material concerns and the stuff of reality a ‘must-do.’ It seems the inpulses will be conflicting: on the one hand we’d like to radically change, transform, or reconstitute our circumstances, while on the other the actual state of reality is requiring us to adjust to the ‘what is.’ Both energies must be served, with a need to deal with the way things are paramount–but once that’s under control we can begin the alchemy of ‘what could be,’ courtesy of Pluto.
Get ECLIPSE here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/ Early September brings one of those ‘must watch’ days–check it out! And Thank you! (Password for the ECLIPSE only page is found at the end of the first article in the Summer issue)

And, oh boy, have I felt this Pisces Moon and seen the Mercury Rx in action!
Thanks, Neeti–and double thanks for providing that link–see you on FB!

Julie, I’m so glad you’re feeling better! Concentrating? Lack of focus? I have Jello for brains. Sheesh, this full moon knocked many of us for a loop. See you at Facebook and please friend me.
Hi Layla, Thanks! Jello! If only I were that ‘together’! lol Yes, see you on FB!

lol I am hopeless at the moment. We had a plumbing disaster the last few days, so I was being studious and forward cooking. So of course I went for a wander mid-cooking and burned my dinner. Why not. Staring out of the window for random lengths of time? Why not as well! Mercury was slow over my Uranus/Pluto conjunction and I have Mercury in the 6th, in sextile AND the Full Moon was in trine to my Sun. *fingers crossed the floating pretties and the whimsical wandering/staring ease up now*
I personally gave up on social networking, even though wordpress can do all of the work for me, I guilt myself if I don’t get personal and my time is over-stretched as it is :S
Good luck with it all though xoxo
The wandering, the staring, so true for me as well! At least I’m in good company 🙂
I am hesitant about social networking, only because I feel a wee bit bland, not quite up to the expected steady stream of witty repartee, amusing photos, and amazing videos–plus I too have other things I should be attending to–for now I’ll go with it as family has urged me to join, as has a wonderful astrologer friend (Hi Neeti!), and we’ll see what comes of it.
Thank you, Karen, for stopping by; I hope we’re both out of the fog soon! xoxo

the fullmoon passing means i can finially can tomatoes. a vision of red tomato sauce in mason jars in quantity… i’ll do it tomorrow
Visions of the productive are so seductive, aren’t they? (whoops, I didn’t mean to talk like the Caterpillar in Alice!) I might be tempted to wait until after the Moon enters Aries (the 26th at 7:49 PM PDT)–all that red is so Aries!

I’m burning things, too! Even my husband said, “This isn’t like you.” My attention span is very short with cooking recently and my lack of attention has brought more than one thing to a crispier texture and much more “robust” flavor than might be desired. 🙂
I think I can attribute it to cabin fever brought on by the heat. The heat index is 105-110 for about 6 weeks now. But do things have to get scorched inside my house, too?! Tr. Mars is sitting on my Neptune. Does this mean my cooking could be the premise for “Firestarter II”?
Neeti, you’re article helped me a lot with FB, too. Thanks so much for that piece.
This is turning out to be a big club–but as I said, good company! 🙂

CJ, it wouldn’t have been written without your prodding (in the nicest way!). Thank you! 🙂
