Mercury Retro is a busy little bee; currently, Merc is square Juno, sextile Neptune/ Chiron, and square Uranus/ Jupiter–giving us a T-square, and factoring in that Merc is still for the time being conjunct the Sun, Pallas, and the North Node. This stew of influences is relatively fleeting but potent while it lasts; expect jumbled communications about who holds what power, what your group role might be, and be aware that issues may be exaggerated (either in their portrayal by others or in your reception of them)–the feeling may be that life-altering matters are on the table, that wisdom is being tested–and that deception or fantasy may be the communication mode du jour.

I’ve got your eclipse effect right here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-12050067

I felt there was “a kind of hush” before the eclipse. It’s gone now. Probably being fanciful. 🙂
Hi Neeti, I think I know what you mean–it felt to me almost like a Void Moon–but only for a couple of hours preceding

Happy solstice to you, Julie! Wishing you an extraordinary and fulfilling year ahead. Thank you for your generosity and wisdom this year.
I think the eclipse has “whole new person” potential, though I don’t see yet how to unwind from the responsibilities and routines of the old person; maybe merc direct will show us the exit strategy.
Stay warm, safe, dry ~ joyous holidays!
Thank you, Lainie, I wish you the same–it’s always a pleasure to hear from you. I think you’ve described in a nutshell what it’s like for a lot of people: a sense of the new with no idea how to disengage from the old–it certainly describes me!
I hope you enjoy the happiest of holidays, and a wonderful and bounteous New Year!

What completely stunned me, along with the beauty of the glowing red/orange moon itself, was that all the stars came out once the moon went dark—absolutely astonishing beauty and a glimpse of the depth of our galaxy.
Sounds wonderful–wish I could’ve seen it! It was all cloud here.
Good to hear from you, Julie–wishing you a wonderful holiday and New Year season!

I feel different: some new empowerment and wisdom seem to be available. Outer circumstances don’t seem to matter so much.
Same for me! I feel really good, and even when things don’t go right I don’t seem to mind too much–Thanks, eclipse!
