Today there’s a Mystic Rectangle, with the Sun/ Earth axis, Mars (c.Sun) and the Juno opposition to Jupiter/ Uranus (lasts through the 22nd, though without Mars in latter days). This is highly energizing, electrical, lighting up empowerment options, the social sphere, the material situation, and what you have to do to get what you want. Period. This info is enlightening concerning the physical, and is non-negotiable–it is what it is. It will serve to test the suitability of your goals and wishes, will show just how much personal power you possess in relation to the social entities you care about, and will, if you’re honest with yourself, rid you of any shameless power or material or relationship fantasies you’ve continued to carry around despite evidence to the contrary. Use what you’re shown wisely, and accept with humility and courage what you’ve deemed important–it is a true point where we can align what we want with our own willingness to act to get it–and come out the other side more mature, enlightened, and with a successful battle plan–thanks, Mars!
The fuss about Ophiuchus is handled brilliantly here and both Eris Francis of Planet Waves and Matthew Currie had intelligent thoughts about this eloquently expressed–check them out if you’re curious.

If we’re changing things around, I’d like to be a Sagittarius, please. Or to enjoy the extraversion of being a sunshiny Leo. And most of all, I would like a different moon sign! My Capricorn moon feels like lifetimes of joyless weariness sometimes.
Oh Lainie! Cappy Moons are wonderful–strong, practical, and they’ve got an ‘ear to the ground’ kind of intuition that can be spectacularly beneficial, along with a progress oriented creativity that strives for solid, tangible progress–very much envied by those who don’t enjoy strong Earth connections. True this Moon doesn’t promote a carefree approach, but you may not be aware of how much others love to be around Cap Moons–they make us feel safe 🙂
But no, they’ll be no changing things around–Ophiuchus has always been there, along with a lot of other constellations–Western tropical astrology fixes Aries and Libra to the equinox points–it’s very ‘earth-connected,’ that way, and so stays relevant to our planet’s citizens.

my mother, mother-in-law, twin sisters-in-law, grandmother have capricorn moons and are all very good w/ the bottom line, spot on material relavence to their particular needs, are conscientious over baring mothers and take good care of themselves. I don’t challange them because it’s pointless they are set in their ways. My grandmother& mother-in-law are alcoholics, my mother would be except she spend summers w/ me and dries out and one of my sister-in-laws is working at it along w/ her husband.
Interesting point: denial of the ‘liquid’–feeling, sensitive, emotional–means it’s sought in some other form in the life. Nature wins out every time

This day has convinced me that I have remarkable amounts of psychic
support from people around the world, and I am usually a very
doubtful, skeptical Virgo.
I don’t need fantasies that I am not connected anymore.

loved the link to the article on Ophiuchus. As an Aquarian Sun, with Mars in Aries (Libra Moon, Aquarius Venus), it is hard for me to imagine being Capricorn Sun, even though my mother was one and my Merc is in Cap (conjunct that New Moon recently). So, I am glad to put aside the notion that I must be a Cap Sun and that Scorp Suns are limited to only 7 days (now that’s a tragedy!).
I am still learning about asteroids – love your site! Exploring.
Thank you, Heather–and yes, it is nice to know that the fuss is about nothing, isn’t it?
