5 AM Pacific time the Pisces Moon sextiles the Pluto/ Sun conjunction; this is a day for a psychic sunburn, as we see stark illumination of Life/Death matters, and their emotional implications for us. Hugely enlightening, and quite possibly a little frightening. Wherever the Sun/ Pluto (7 Capricorn) conjunction occurs for you is the likely arena for some serious, and seriously interesting, revelation. Can be a ‘new lease on life’ in some important, House-related way, and may change us, or our course in life, in a significant way–a ‘can’t un-see it’ reaction. May also bring about the kind of deadly serious life transformation spurred by the threat of death or loss; a perfect example is the individual who fears (or actually experiences) a heart attack, and so completely overhauls the diet and lifestyle. If this conjunction is placed at a point where the perception is likely to be an unconscious one (in the 12th, for instance, or possibly opposite the House ruled by the Moon, or in aspect to the natal Moon, Pluto, or ruler of the 12th) then you may not be aware of the changes until your reality alters to reflect them.

How about if the conjunction is in the 1st house opposite natal Venus in the 7th? (2 degree orb) Would the effect be immediate?
Asking for someone else 🙂 Thank you
The effect is immediate for everyone; where it occurs suggests possibilities for the individual, with 1st House placement making it a very personal, ‘where you meet the world’ experience, and Venus links it to relationships, finances, values, or matters of the Houses in the natal chart ruled by her.
You’re welcome, P.

Um, how about quincunx the Sun? Oy! I’m already a pretzel at this point. Thanks for the heads up, Julie! Will re-up soon (oh, the holidays!).
Oy! is right–hi AA! The Sun/ Pluto conjunction quincunx the natal Sun (keep qnx orb tight, no more than 1.5 deg, 2 with Sun, Moon, or other major natal player) will illuminate change that has already been underway with Pluto’s longer-term contact to natal Sun. It’s a ‘rock and a hard place’ aspect that gives you a clear look at what must change and probably pushes you to finally do something about a situation you’ve not yet addressed, either because you didn’t see the need for change prior to this or because you were reluctant to upset what was uncomfortable but tenable. This almost certainly affects the identity or Life Purpose, or possibly relates to the House ruled by the Sun in the natal chart. Good luck!

The woman really embodies the drapery here. Hehee. Drape couture!
Happy end of 2011!!! Oh, I have high hopes for 2012. Perhaps too high. I think it’s better for me not to expect much then be pleasantly surprised…but put in the work to make it better, hopefully.

You said it, MM! I think a policy of ‘pleasantly surprised’ both prepares us for ‘less than’ and makes plenty of room for great things in 2012–Happy New Year, and wonderful end-of-year, to you too! xo jd
