17 March is an odd day where it feels like anything can happen. The contrast between those things we rely on as measures (our highest values, our level and extent of empowerment, our wisdom and experience, the clarity of the psychic ‘light’ in which we observe our surroundings) and the seeming lack of capacity we currently enjoy in which to exercise our prerogatives is sharp and glaring. It seems that to do what’s smart automatically creates pain, efforts to expand our world, to learn or teach, or to explore something new and exotic is unduly costly or interferes seriously with important relationships—and communication seems to have fallen into a fog from which it can’t get up! If we can drift and dream today, and really want to discover something, we can inspect our pain for the wisdom it holds; it’s the shadows that tells us where things stand today, not the sunlight.
