The obvious answer to that is, Why must you see something in order for it to have an effect? That’s the situation we’re facing right now: we can feel it, but getting a handle on just where the energies are being generated is nearly impossible. The biggest problems, though, are twofold: we may attribute effects to the wrong sources, and we may insist on things that aren’t necessarily so (the most pronounced of which might be the mantra, ‘Venus square Jupiter means everything is great, dammit!’)
The dynamic in play is a Venus/ Ceres conjunction (strong women, or strong animas, or two values sets, with very different agendas, but both focused on having a power-effect on the situation–look to your values, finances, or relationships for the arena where this appears personally, or in the matters of the natal House where this conjunction is happening for you) opposed Sedna (the ‘blind spot’) all in a T-square with Jupiter/ Chiron (exaggerated hurt or PR, hurt from the social sphere, skills tested under duress–the square–in the social sphere, learning what wounds, or those wounds inflicted by religious, educational, or cultural differences).
This can have about a million different forms, but the essence of it is this: we’re bound to identify hurt coming from somewhere, and get both the nature of the upset and the origins wrong. Sedna makes us unable to see–it’s not a matter of being willing to see, or of making a special effort; the energy of this body removes our ability to accurately pinpoint the conflict (though some number of us will guess correctly in spite of ourselves! It’s just the odds). What, then, can we do about this? How to cope?
Even our coping mechanism comes with a caveat, as Neptune, the Great Obscurer, is involved. We can look to innate wisdom and common sense for guidance (Pallas), as this energy is accessible through feedback from the social realm and from our own attempts to reach out or expand (Jupiter), and through application of the unique Chirotic skills, and our ideals, creativity, and imagination (Neptune). The trine between Pallas and Jupiter/ Chiron/ Neptune allows a funneling of our ‘smarts’ and our most competent attributes so that, by observing the products of actions and thoughts based on our ideal and imaginings, and on the feedback we get from the social sphere, we can determine in what way our perceptual equation is imbalanced. We can pinpoint the relevant power, authority, values, relationship, and financial issues that are really in play at present, and discern whether they truly are injurious, as well as in what way they may serve to help us expand and ‘get the word out.’
Wish I didn’t have to be so vague, but with the involvement of both Sedna and Neptune, nebulousness is almost required! And a word about the Venus/ Jupiter square: don’t forget that a square is a conflict aspect, at least initially–there will be discord within attempts to expand in Venusian areas. If we accept this, we’ll be much more likely to stop insisting that this is a great influence, and start working with it, so that we can resolve the tension and actually make it work for us, likely with great success.

Thank you for this – I have been wondering about Ceres and Venus – taking place in the my 3rd – so badly wanting to communicate this pain I am experiencing, but cannot connect on the human plane. Dreamt I watched myself being beheaded and mauled last night – the blood was almost comic and pink. Witnessing the sacrifice of my naivity.
Hello, diastella,
May I suggest something? Though your dream sounds horrific, and may indeed illustrate your conscious pain (and I’m sorry to hear about this), my thought was that ‘losing your head’–and suffering the loss of what you describe as blood that is “comic and pink,” made me wonder if the severity of it all isn’t being exaggerated–certainly possible to perceive things this way with Jupiter in the picture. But I think you’re quite right about a loss of innocence–losing pink blood is the perfect symbol for that.
Thanks very much for coming by, jd

had a very interesting “pink” dream, unusual that color involved
a high spiritual guide wearing pink overalls…. odd..
but pink I associate with venus (?) what else would it be?
Venus…. along with higher guides? a symbol of life -force?
Hi william, Sometimes pink is associated with the young, particularly girls, and so can be a symbol of immaturity (in the sense of not yet grown up or ‘ripened,’ not like smart-alek-y!) Venus is a full-grown woman (after all, she has an adult son, Eros), so I wouldn’t think of Venus and pink together, necessarily. Pink is also a color of vulnerability; in your dream, it could suggest that the figure is your anima–if I may ask, what tipped you off that this was a “high spiritual guide”?

Hi Julie,
I kinda wish I’d read this a couple of days ago when it was posted but then, perhaps it is good that I did not. Saturday night I dreamed that a young and attractive woman organized a pot luck dinner at my sweetie’s house in my honor. She invited all of her church members (he is a pastor) and they all came but they all looked like her. Then she asked me some very pointed questions about our relationship, which I did not answer very pointedly. I left on pretext of having to use the bathroom and while I went to hide out, I ran across my mother and my deceased grandmother in another part of the house. they returned to the party with me and gave me some much needed back-up. Sunday night I texted him and asked him point blank if he was dating anyone else (we live in different states). He avoided me for a couple of days and answered my question last night while we were talking. He is “in communication” long distance with another woman. The Ceres/Venus conjunction is in my 12th house and within 7 degrees of my ascendent. Right now the conjunction is straddling my north node. Sedna is conjuncting my south node and also conjuncting his Sun/Venus/Mercury which is on his MC.
I wrote him a letter this morning basically telling him to put up or shut up. I may not have done that had I read this blog first. But I’m glad that I did.
Hi allhoney, Thanks for sharing a very interesting life example of how this dynamic is playing out for you. With Sedna on your SO’s Sun/ Venus/ Merc and MC, he may be in the midst of a long-term inability to see what he’s communicating about himself and his role–a very tough position for a pastor, since public image and what he communicates is all–and with Sedna on your SN, you may have a difficult time knowing when what’s past is past. Much good luck in your journey–I hope this situation resolves itself exactly as you hope it will. Best, jd

a very, very interesting dream and full of healing I consider
it a guidepost in the saturn transit, a pointer to a new way
I am at a spiritual conference and make my way up a mountain
to a cave, it is “hard to get to this place”
and there it is all about the Aztecs for some reason and there is a teacher of mine with two assistants and it’s like they’re discussing my spiritual development actually (weird dream!) And I’m ‘right at home’ with this they are saying, (the aztec thing- I fell asleep watching a documentary on the navaho indians interestingly)
well, the teacher I recognized and he had pink overalls like a carpenter would wear – it was such a great dream, and all about some Aztec prince or king and someone drawing glyphs
on the wall of aztec origin (phew!) some other things but that is the gist.
Very interesting–thanks so much for sharing such a momentous and uplifting dream.
