After what turned out to be a wonderfully rollicking 36 hour family party (2 birthdays this week! no waiting!) with a Cancer Moon as the perfect time for our close-knit group to celebrate, I’m ready for a little vacation–so I’m back here with you, dear reader, with a few comments on the upcoming 24.
We start with a trine of the Water Moon to the equally emo Jupiter (1 AM PDT) offering up plenty of reaction and intuition, to and through the social sphere, and this may be an especially sensitive period in terms of our own feelings about social issues, our place within the larger scheme, and the Jupiterian areas of education, religion, foreign interests, travel, and any attempts we make toward expansion of our world. It’s an excellent point for reflection on who we are and where we’re going, particularly concerning our personal role and impact on the Collective, as we are both highly perceptive of our true feelings and able to negotiate our physical situation (literally and figuratively) effectively (Ceres square Saturn)–empowerment is possible, with a little effort (Moon sextile Juno).
5 AM PDT sees the Moon conjunct the South Node, and we may get a little moony over those feelings we’ve been examining; their connection to the past is easily seen, and this makes it easy to get a little distance and gain an extraordinary amount of understanding. 11 AM the Moon squares Venus, and it seems all our mooning may upset relationships and resources–we’ll see a need to redistribute energy allotments, but don’t jump to conclusions–we may at this point be a little too close to our feelings to make wise conclusions (Moon square Pallas, sextile Sedna).
9:30 PM PDT and the Moon trines Uranus and quincunxes Neptune–could make for some rough hours, as rebellion comes too easily, and it’s fueled by what are likely misunderstandings and misinterpretations. Try to keep over-sensitivity at bay, if only by refusing to react off the cuff. Quincunx to Chiron, 11 PM, and hurt is a real possibility, if we don’t handle the earlier impulses well. 12:24 AM on the 25th PDT the Void begins, with the Moon entering Leo at 2:38 AM Pacific on the 25th and heading directly for a conjunction to Mars, quincunx to Ceres, and a sextile to Saturn. This kicks off a period of emotional Self-focus (Leo) that may make us prone to act out against the will of authorities (in an oblique way that doesn’t present a direct challenge), but the rules or reality will get in the way, so better to think about what we might like to do, but hold back for now.
All times approximate PDT

And have a good one!

hi julie, i was just wondering, looking at skywatchastrology.com, and this seems to be a really good day and evening–how do interpretations differ so much like this?
🙂 hope u are well!
Hi Susan, just as individuals differ, so do interps–you just have to go with what feels right to you. I concentrate in My Daily Astro Diary on the effects of the Moon, which may make for different emphasis than other forecasts–and of course, there’s no way any general forecast can take into account what’s happening via the natal chart. I like to give all the Moon related possibilities, and let readers see what they respond to.
Hope you are well, too! jd
