So there’s this trapezoid thing in the sky right now, and I don’t even know if such an aspect exists, but the contacts seem compelling to me, so that’s where we’re going. Start at the Chiron 00 Pisces/ Neptune 28 Aquarius point; though Pluto’s a little wide for a sextile (especially to Neptune) Ceres is not–so we’ll call the next point Ceres; Ceres squares Saturn, which in turn quincunxes Chiron/ Neptune; Saturn trines Venus at 28 Taurus and Juno at 3 Gemini, and Juno, at least, quincunxes Ceres and also Pluto. Is there a name for this in astrology? More important, does it say anything? My sense of it is that the seemingly jarring juxtapositioning of some elements belies their ties to one another; in other words, we may see some of these components as working very closely, and reject others as unrelated, when in fact they’re all of a piece. One thread running through this configuration concerns power and authority, and who holds it; another speaks of fear, hurt, oppression or suppression; and another of ideals, values, illusion or deception, relationships or finances, the status quo, what’s permanent, what must change. That seems like a lot, but as always the energies will particularize (is that even a word?) for each individual. We may face two or three ‘sets’ of this energy simultanously; the trick is to recognize that they’re all related. These will perhaps be a challenging set of energies, but presented with the possibility for rather large or significant rewards, so the question becomes: will we ride them to success, or will they ride us to a feeling of being overwhelmed or overmatched?
One big indicator might be in noting where in the natal chart we’re currently being affected by transiting Mercury and transiting Neptune; these will show obvious points of potential weakness, where we might misunderstand or miscommunicate, where we might deceive or be deceived, or fall for an illusion or fantasy. Transiting Pluto, still fairly new in Capricorn, may suggest where tearing down or change might be likely to occur. And we look to natal placements of Sun, Sun ruler, Moon, Venus, and to all asteroids that may be receiving strong contact by transit, to know what areas might be enhanced and supported, and which might be debilitated, as we seek actualization and effective empowerment in our own lives.
The Moon enters Virgo at 11:24 AM PDT, aiding us with our inventory-taking; until then, chill on the matter(s), and watch what portions of your life come forward for attention (for accounting, for inventory, perfect for a Virgo Moon) after the Moon-change.
Found out that there’s a recently created site that’s using the term ‘astrocoaching.’ Now maybe I’m not the first–but I have been using it for years, and haven’t seen it used elsewhere–so now I know what the people at Coke and Kleenex feel like 🙂
Synchronicities have been off the charts recently–and so have revelations about who and what the people we mingle with really are. This is all good, to know precisely where we stand. Some of what we learn is (and will be) shocking (hello, Uranus into Aries!) or disappointing, but it delivers nothing but true strength to see things and people for what they are–so let’s celebrate all the good we find around us, and mourn the bad, or what might have been, and move on–the tempo only picks up from here.

Watch for the release of the second issue of ‘ECLIPSE’! It may be available as early as Sunday!
Cool stuff, and a Hubble slideshow: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36720745/ns/technology_and_science-space/?Gt1=43001
If you know what the above described config might be, please let me know–or suggest a name–maybe it’ll catch on! And whatever you do, have a great weekend!

What a cool post, JD! I lived it today. Was in state of shock after that. A very “Jacta alea est,” kind of day. The die has been cast. ::sigh::
Looking forward to the second edition of “Eclipse.”
Thank you, Neeti. Sorry to hear events for you took on the tone of ordeal. But of course, all we have to do is wait a minute–and everything will change–

Julie, what a very interesting post and ‘trapezoid’! No idea here about this odd pattern but i do notice that Venus, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are all @ 28 degrees indicating a karmic situation amongst them – is there an ‘unpostponable necessity for decision and transformation’ (Rudhyar) in the wind? Many of them actually.
Plus, we’re off and on having the tr Saturn/Neptune quincunx affecting the collective psyche which indicates to me a time when many people (including, i suppose, some politicians, but who can tell what their core motivations truly are?) will be guided by spiritual principles and moved to relieve the social injustices and suffering around them. Taking on too many obligations which rightfully belong to others may be prevalent now so we must avoid becoming martyrs ourselves for then we may not be able to do anyone any good, right?
Another caution with the Sat/Nep inconj is that physical problems/illnesses are difficult to diagnose because core causes are not easy to determine and symptoms through us off the trail. Following practical safeguards is important under this aspect – washing hands, staying away from contagious illnesses, if possible, etc…and all this is supported by the Neptune/Chiron conj, w/ Chiron in compassionate (if confused) Pisces.
Politically i’d say the inconj shows reality (Sat) and illusion-deception (Nep) need, of course, adjustment. Perhaps new scandals will be uncovered and/or more natural disasters will pop up relating to Saturn’s soil/earth/tectonic plates and Neptune’s ocean. And we all know the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has occurred under this aspect w/ Nep = oil.
Oh, and thanks a bunch for linking to my dau Maya’s blog with the Coke sign photo – that’s sweet of you! Acworth GA retains something of a ‘stepping back in time’ flavor and Maya does indeed love photographing old buildings and homes.
Now Julie, you have a great weekend as well! Jude
Thank you, Jude, for adding so much helpful and illuminating detail to the aspect situation. I was truly stumped when I saw the config–it was like that game they play on Letterman, ‘Is This Something?’!!
Love Maya’s site–it’s a pleasure to help share it with others. I too am a fan of architecture, and murals and the graphics on the sides of buildings are some of the best features around–I took tons of slides of these in Oberammergau and in Switzerland years ago–one of these days I’ll get them into the computer and share! Thank you, Jude, and have a great one! jd

I’ve gone too long without saying how much I enjoy these daily posts. Thank you, Julie. The trapezoid is zapping me big-time; hoping that Saturn-Uranus is the eye of the needle and I can squeeze through and feel better!
Thank you so much, Lainie! Intriguing to think of Saturn/ Uranus as “the eye of the needle”–somehow I see the Uranian energy going through Saturn’s gate with that phrase–just don’t let yourself think the answer to everything lies in discipline (just supposin’ as I know how hard you work!) Spontaneity might be the biggest aid for all of us during this (I want to say demanding, as it just seems like that permeates all) time. Do feel better! jd

You are right on the intuitive money, as always, Julie. And I just looked at my full moon aspects, and wow, it should be a very interesting week. A wonderful Scorpio full moon to you – transformatively intense in all good ways!
Thank you, Lainie. Hope the Full Moon is a culmination of all the best for you, too!

When I was first learning astrology I was introduced to a system called Past Life Symbols which was channelled to an astrologer by the name of Frank Wharton. Unfortunately, Frank had Mercury Retrograde natally in his chart and he never did get around to writing that book about it. He did however, give classes and lectures and there is one website that actually has a lot of the material on it, though the owner is selling canned reports on the symbols.
The trapezoid is called a Bishop’s Miter, (though one parallel line is not shown in the symbol). It has to do with spiritual and religious insight and a willingness to share and teach those insights. The world is viewed from a different perspective and the focus is that there a many different ways to approach and fix a problem.
Thanks so much, Beth! This is a great help–I’d thought I’d heard of something like this at one time, but of course had no luck trying to find it, or even knowing what to call the config! I really appreciate you sharing this–jd
