We have clusters of energy, at this point, each working on its own, each in many ways unconcerned with what’s going on elsewhere. We’ll tackle each gathering, not as various energies brought together, but as single ‘statements’ that stand alone.
The Aquarius/ Pisces group (NE, CH, the Moon for now) says we are pre-occupied with our fears, hurts, and fantasies; feeling is chaotic, and deconstruction of what’s racing through our minds is not possible.
In Aries (UR, JU) there is a rampant energy of Self, and this is in tug-of-war with Virgo/ Libra (Vesta, MA, SA, Zeus), making us worship the ego even as we are trying to restrain and contain the ambitions. The desire is to be productive, but there’s too much rebellion and restlessness, and our big wants are scattered.
In Cancer (SU, SN, ME, Juno) we may feel that all that caring energy is serving only to drag us backward into the past. Empowerment and communication are strongly desired but out of our reach. Why? It’s all versus the Sag/ Capricorn grouping (Ceres, PL, Earth, NN), where power and clout are dedicated to, if not controlling us, then messing us up good. The feeling here is one of futility, and deep frustration.
What’s left are stray dogs: Venus in Leo, Pallas in Scorpio, and Sedna in Taurus, all like lone, howling voices in the forest. Love seems tinged unpleasantly with Self-regard, wisdom is hiding in a cave somewhere, and the ability to be completely oblivious centers on our material world, and especially the world of the senses, and is something to be avoided.
It sounds hopeless, but it’s all, of course, temporary. To embrace our upset would be the height of foolishness. Instead we must hold within an awareness of the beauty and rightness of impermanence. Then, when faced with these energies in tug-of-war, we can take a deep breath and say, ‘This too shall pass,’ and turn our attention back to nature and to those things we are, quite consciously, creating.

Simply spot on! I have been looking for an ‘anchor in the sky’, but feeling precisely like the picture you paint in this post – and most of the planets are out of strict 2 degree orb with anything in my chart (but has some contacts just outside this)… Still this ‘Uranus-energy’ sizzling in me – amplified by Jupiter I suppose… and they ARE five degrees from opposition with nUranus… perhaps I’m just ‘too sensitive’…;-) ??
The last paragraph in particular struck a chord in me – I guess I thought I could just get the juicy inspiration from UR and JU meeting in my 3rd – but life is full of surprises!! Breathing deeply, tending my garden, and trying to sit still long enough to write my poetry… and trying to ‘hold within an awareness of the beauty and rightness of impermanence’… beautifully put… sometimes a little hard in the realm of the heart…:-)
At long last I have the latest issue of ‘Elipse’ so I’m diving in…
Great post! Many thanks from Pernille…
Hi Pernille, Thank You! Remember, though, that the strict two degree orb is only for eclipses–for transits, the ‘heavier’ the energy, the wider the likely orb, so if Jupiter/ Uranus is roughly 5 degrees from opposition to your natal Uranus, it’s probable that you are feeling at least the closer one, if not both (5 before and 3 after contact are about the biggest orbs I subscribe to). And yes, Jupiter/ Uranus is the epitome of surprise; their meeting in your 3rd suggests you will indeed communicate, but in a new, surprising form. Skywriting, perhaps? 🙂
Best,
jd

Thank you for the clarification of your use of orbs… and actually Jupiter is just under 3 degrees from opposition to nUranus at 5.37 Libra…
I mostly write from the ‘Underworld’ – so skywriting would indeed be something new – and perhaps just what’s needed to achieve some kind of wholeness…
Thanks again, Julie!
