The Lunar Eclipse is an opposition, and that means it falls across one of the House axes of your natal chart. This is an energy of change, an eclipse of current life circumstances in the involved Houses with a new and different energy, and it always brings forward the question, What will this mean to me? Below are a few possibilities; access your intuition in answering.
I thought that the eclipse would fall on my ascendant because my ascendant is 29’05 Gemini, but astro.com shows it conjunct my ascendant from the 12th house on December 21,2010. I don’t know what’s going to happen.
Hi joyrjw, the time given here is for the exact time of the Full Moon, though technically the eclipse begins for some when the first sliver of shadow is cast–which to me is a tough time to pinpoint. So, I’m using that Full Moon point as the culmination point of the energy–and you are free to use it, too.

Well, the 35W Bridge collapse in Minneapolis happened on an eclipse, and now the Vikings’ Metrodome has collapsed. Ironic? Metaphoric? More to come? Old structures literally giving way to the new? Both situations also were catalysts to an enormous sense of unity within the community. Cooperation, collaboration, the setting aside of old tensions for the sake of a real kind of survival. Without the highway, thousands of people had a hard time getting to work. Entire sections of the city were economically hurt by the traffic switch. Result? The new bridge was completed in record time.
Now the Twin Cities have rallied to keep their beloved football team in the game. A tremendous undertaking it was to clear tonight’s TCF stadium of 17+” of snow. Again, economics at risk with the threat of the Vikings leaving MN. But the people of Minneapolis joined together to “make the impossible possible.”
Hi April, Since the collapse of the Metrodome happened days ago, I don’t really associate it with the eclipse; I happen to feel that an event such as an eclipse can’t actually cast a shadow before itself (though sometimes we can feel a ‘pull’ as the two energies come together)–but some people do, and might link the events as you have. The localized nature of the Collective pulling together can be seen in many areas–the interesting part to me is that these are local–it’s not a national phenomenon, but one specific to a culturally affiliated area–and certainly worth watching. Thanks, April!

Hi Julie. The Gemini Full Moon looked very milky last night, here, in the French Alps; it falls on my 4/10 axis and almost conjuncts my Moon.
Funnily, I dreamt I was riding a bike with my Mom (who died last summer), somewhere in Latin America, on very steep slopes. When going downhill, the brake I was in charge with didn’t work anymore and she managed to use hers, thus saving our lives.
It reflects very well the rough ride I’m going through and the link with my Mom (selling her house, dealing with the inheritance).
Happy Full Moon
Katia
Hi Katia, Synchronicities are everywhere right now–I watched a movie just before the eclipse that was based on a legend that another recent Moon evoked (the ‘Sealskin, Soulskin’ one) We had high clouds, a blanket that reflected back the city lights, and didn’t allow a view of the Moon. Oh well, maybe I’ll get a glimpse of another eclipse, later. A Very Happy Solstice/ Full Moon/ Eclipse to you, and a joyous holiday season and New Year, dear Katia! jd
