Just after 10:00 AM PDT the Moon trines Saturn. Is this a working Saturday for you? It might seem like it, even if you’re off–but if we’ll embrace constructive activity of any kind, it will go easily and make us feel we’ve gotten an immense amount accomplished. Noonish the Moon trines h.Zeus, and energies play right into the efforts of those of us who used the Saturn energy well–everyone else may feel frustrated, spending the time thinking about their ambitions and dreams, but doing nothing effective about them. Notice who in your world falls on which side of the Saturn/ h.Zeus divide–it’ll tell you a lot about attitudes, whose words you can believe and who you can trust, as those who end up grousing and doing little will also have a tendency to make promises they can’t keep, out of disorganization or weakness of character–better to know this now than later.
9:30 PM PDT the Moon conjuncts Vesta, putting us firmly in touch with our most sacred values, with home and our most intimate partners. West Coasters, make it an early evening; de-stressing at home, and maybe in the arms of the one you love, is the way to go! Just after 11 PM PDT the Moon trines Mars, giving us a second reason to go home early; it’s just too easy to over-assert, and altercations will be a dime a dozen. It also might be one of those unfortunate times when strangers are targeted by the unwell and the unbalanced. I’m not trying to scare anyone, just pointing out that (and I think this is no secret) those who are weak-minded, polluted somehow, or lacking an active spiritual consciousness are more prone to respond unthinkingly to prevalent energies–and with mind (Gemini, Aquarius), emotion (Moon), and aggression (Mars) the entirety of the Lunar transitory mix, responses will play on mental difficulties others suffer.
If you’re checking this blog often, you should subscribe–it’s inexpensive and you get access to it all–thanks!

Hi Julie – when you have time, would you please give us more a primer on h.Zeus? I’m interested to learn about it. It’s 4o Virgo in my 5th House cusp Leo, trine 4o Scorpio Moon in 6th Libra cusp, and quincunx 5o Aquarius Venus in 10th Cap MC.
Fortunately (this time!) your Full Moon observations were good to know ahead of time! I took advantage and let go of something that had dug its rootlets into one of my fundamentals. These years later, there was no reason to keep it other than for the sheer traumatic emotion when I remembered it. So I dug it out and disposed of it properly.
Hi Parin,
I read h.Zeus as ambition and desire, the kind that drive us; there’s a compulsive quality, and those ambitions and wants associated with this seem to be of an idealized or ultimate nature. If we crave to be President of the United States, to win the Nobel prize, to ravish a sex symbol, or to wrestle a croc, we are probably under h.Zeus’ spell. Think of the way mythical Zeus simply did as he pleased, and took what he wanted, and you’ll have the essence of it. There also seems to be a component of both absent father syndrome and/ or the inappropriately competitive father, for those with h.Zeus strongly tied into the chart. I wrote about this in the very first ECLIPSE, back when I thought the point I was referring to (as seen in my Solar Fire) was actually the asteroid, and I found the perfect example in former President Bill Clinton–I placed his h.Zeus in the context of his natal chart and then also in context with each of his ladies–with some interesting results (so applicable to the situation, in fact, that it made me a believer). Though it’s a hypothetical point, it really seems to work–and that’s my criteria for using a body in chart analysis.
Glad the Full Moon thing was helpful–and good for you, knowing what you needed to be rid of 🙂 I hope you’re feeling well and having fun.

AHA! Is there a way I can purchase that very first copy of Eclipse, with the article you mentioned? I’m interested. Thank you very much for this information. I’m going to ponder over it in my chart.
And I’m with you about computed points and hypotheticals. If they work, we should use’em.
I need to email you about my subscription. I can’t remember if it’s due in August or September. I don’t want to miss a single issue. 🙂
Hi! I’m considering modifying the article and re-publishing it, possibly here on the blog or in a collection, apart from the rest of the issue (like forecasts, that nobody wants now!) I’m concerned that what I’m calling h.Zeus is just a flaw in my Solar Fire–maybe something they corrected later, that I haven’t found out about–but it does work–so I’ll let you know.
Your subscription goes through August 17th, so no worries–and I always send out a notice when it expires. I’m so glad you find it worth continuing!
