For Saturday the 19th:
6 PM PST the Moon opposes Ceres. Will we be the highly emotional party, expressing at the feet of big bad authority, or will we be Self-possessed and perhaps a tad intrusive, distressing another with our non-co-operation? As always, neither viewpoint is superior–along with highly emotional comes the guise of being harmless and even powerless, and yet refusal to accept one’s own power is not the other person’s fault; and being cool and collected doesn’t mean you are any stronger, better, or less feeling than your ‘opponent’–it just seems that way.
And for Sunday the 20th:
Around 4 AM Pacific time the Virgo Moon squares Venus and trines Sedna. Could we have a bigger recipe for disaster? And which will we choose to f*** up, Love or Money? It’s not that we won’t be trying to do the right thing for ourselves and others, it’s that we won’t be able to feel, know, or intuit the actual situation–and if we don’t know where we are, we certainly can’t know which way (figuratively, that is) to go. The tendency may be to be critical based on what’s in our minds, not how things really are–and it only goes downhill from there
We’d do best to play it cool and calm in relationships, and keep our financial situation just where it is, for the moment.
1:30 PM PST the Moon sextiles the Sun (and naturally, trines the Earth!) leaving us with a sense of being ‘on the right track’, despite the simultaneous Lunar quincunx to Neptune; the latter aspect suggests we may be prompted to adjust our emotions so that illusion is ‘illuminated,’ and so possibly eliminated. Bonus x-ray influence: Can help us see who’s telling us whoppers! And, if you have a placement at 25 Cancer through 1 Leo, this creates a Grand Trine for you that, depending on the natal body aspected, could ignite dreams or creativity in a major way.

Hey Julie,
This is a little random, but the upcoming eclipse this week is on my mind. I thought I once heard that if you get a new job on an eclipse, that it won’t last long. Have you ever heard anything like that?
Hi Anna,
I think what you’re referring to is the Dark of the Moon (the 3 days prior to a NM) admonition that we will not stick with a new job or project started or accepted at this time. For the coming Eclipse, part of what I wrote in the latest ECLIPSE is this:
“With a Solar Eclipse, the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, like an interloper blocking a conversation quite literally (a Lunar Eclipse, on the other hand, has the Earth between the Moon and the Sun). This could imply that our emotions (the Moon) may in some form block a ‘clean’ translation of energy between ourselves (Sun) and our material reality (Earth).”
