‘The Reluctant Bride’ Toulmouche 1866 {{PD-Art}}
12 December we could see big payoffs for previous efforts, for following the rules, or for concentrating on constructive action. What we hear may not jibe with this—we may be told we’re losing love or money for our work—but that may be inaccurate, the feedback of someone who didn’t put in the hours that you have. Opportunities abound and are out in the open—go gather some. (Jupiter trine Saturn, Mercury semi-square Venus)

Love that word – dissonance – describes something I am feeling perfectly. Connects, for me, with transiting Jupiter which is squaring my natal Saturn and creating a sense of exactly that – something is off, out of sync or tune. Very challenging as it is a subtle something, hard to pin down yet there. I feel as though I’m standing on a threshold, the past is not it and the future is not it, and the present is torn between the two. Within the rub lies the answer, just have to tune into what is out of tune. If that makes sense.
Thank you for pointing me towards where I need to look.
You’re welcome, upturned. I think you’re right about hard Jupiter-Saturn contacts often being quite subtle; it’s almost a message of, ‘Expand (Jupiter) into everything (Saturn, as reality), yet suppression (Saturn) of vital knowledge (Jupiter) makes expansion impossible.’ I might try looking into a way in which the matters of the Houses ruled by each of these dovetail–this might give you a way into the subtle dissonance (which our Jupiterian animal selves are very leery of instinctively) that will allow you to step over that threshold.

Your painting du jour reminded me of a recent piece entitled ‘Taste?’ by Learning Curve on the Ecliptic, one illustration of which she supported with this: (Hope you enjoy it too.)
They don’t call it “fine” art for nothin’! Thanks, Finbar!
