I’m seeing today’s influences as if they are contests between the god-figures for which each of the involved bodies are named, or perhaps between particular characteristics or subjects they represent. With Saturn-Pallas, we may see the establishment confronted by the next generation, time (probably in the form of expediency) versus the procedure wisdom or practicality demands, or ‘old ways’ challenged by new skills sets. Jupiter-Juno suggests a struggle between equals who are not, in real-world terms, actually holders of equal power (remember, Jupiter enjoyed an autonomy that Juno was denied by virtue of her secondary status as wife). This may be especially bitter, within a close-quarters relationship, or involve feelings of disrespect or betrayal and the vengeance that might stir. Mars-Pluto lends every instance of Self-assertion, every statement of ‘I Am’, the sense of being life or death–and so may ramp up power struggles as we attempt to make our mark in the face of obliteration, inevitability, or the need to transform. And, with Mercury entering Leo, that ‘I Am’ gets a voice–a loud one, one that roars–so expect that most of what we hear is propelled by a simple need for the individual to be heard, to take a stand, to express who they are.
