‘Head Covered With A Rakish Silk Hat, Muffled Against The Cold, A Man Braves A Storm’ The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon in Taurus draws an interesting picture, of someone taking the attitude that meeting the harshness of the elements (which we can translate as meeting Life itself) with a sense of personal style and aplomb is really the only way to go. To enter the storm already sullen, feeling defeated, is no way to proceed—and neither is taking a stance that is based on a belief that either doesn’t connect the way we think it does with reality, nor taking one because of the influence or approval of others–and this tells us that emphasizing the individual qualities that make us unique no matter what we’re doing really counts right now. It’s like a statement to the Universe, “I’m ready to play the game, my way.” The Universe’s response to that can only be an adventure.

You have a choice, dear Scorpio, this Solar year through to your next birthday: you can either focus on hurt and ways of rebelling from those who’ve wounded you, or you can focus on developing your most unique skills and, when ready, sharing them with the group. Obviously, any thinking person would opt for the latter, but the problem is, tiny decisions made in the moment, small justifications of the most minor of detours, can lead you very quickly into a spot where you may respond to past hurts reflexively, out of sheer pique. Consciously apply effort to honing those skills and abilities that are most ‘you’, that you specifically show exceptional talent with (and don’t be overly modest–you know what you’re great at!) and your year will prove to be one where you don’t just make progress, but you heal. Happy Birthday, Scorpio, and good luck!

You’ll undergo an interesting emotional journey this coming year, through to your next birthday, dear Scorpio; on the other end of the trip you can expect your most original ideas and your most unusual thinking to have come together into a life approach that will see you advance significantly. Between that time and this, though, you may undergo serious changes, as matters that feel (but aren’t necessarily) life-and-death test the way you think of your role and your purpose. Will this hurt? Maybe a little, but it’s the stuffy cocoon needed to turn you into a butterfly. The key to making it through the year? Like Orpheus, you’ll have to steel yourself and make your descent into darkness, but once you’re on your way up to the light, just make sure you don’t look back. Happy Birthday, Scorpio, and good luck!

Healing personal relationships or your own relationship to money, assets, and/ or material matters may be a big focus this coming year, dear Scorpio, through to your next birthday. Ways in which you’ve previously been radical, unpredictable, and unreliable have created difficulties that can’t be left unattended any longer. This freedom-embracing approach may not have seemed like it was damaging anything at the time, but others may not have seen your need for independence and marching to your own drummer as anything other than you being contrary and running away from responsibility–and now’s the time to fix all that. Your biggest assets this year will be a willingness to face darkness and the unpleasant and do what needs to be done, and a willingness to allow your big heart to show. Normally you are a brave and incredibly kind individual who hides this under a more cavalier banner–it’s time to own up to your sensitivity and the great difference you can make for others–that’s not what others are expecting, but it is what you have planned. Happy Birthday, Scorpio, and good luck!

2 November our individual Will doesn’t mesh well with the dictates of the social circle, and attempts to acquire knowledge, branch out, expand horizons, or get more don’t go smoothly. It’s doubly frustrating because we see what we want, what we value, and know it’s available—apparently to everyone but us. The problem is we’re thinking too much along the lines of ambition fulfillment, and not enough about the needs and expectations of those around us. If we can include others in an ‘everybody wins’ scenario, we just might get what we’re aiming for. (Mars sesquiquadrate Jupiter, Mercury parallel Zeus, Sun parallel Venus)

You’ve just spent recent months ‘getting empowered’ in some important sense, dear Scorpio, and now change is in the air–are you truly ready? The thing you need to know is that what you need to change first is your own thinking–without that, any changes you make in the material world will not take, and you’ll soon find yourself back in a very similar spot from which you started. Too, efforts toward emotional healing can be very effective at this time (during the year through to your next birthday) and will, sooner or later, payoff financially or in relationships–so even if it seems like a distraction, take the time to nurse and repair wounds. Use visualization as much as possible to create a kind of scenario within the imagination that you’d like to have as your reality–and consider that no matter how much control you try to exercise over things, fortune sometimes steps in and won’t let you have the final say–that’s just the way it is, sometimes. Happy Birthday, Scorpio, and good luck!

You’re entering a period when you must shift gears, dear Scorpio, and take the perceptual focus from the intellect to an inspired or creative viewpoint, one that can take advantage of the opportunities that will be coming your way this year, through to your next birthday. You’ll need to keep your eyes and ears open, as potentials will be communicated to you, but in order to actually take advantage of them, you’ll need to accept a changed vision of ideals surrounding Love, Money, or both. You can’t delay these necessary changes any longer–to do so means you’ll miss the boat, opportunity-wise. Resolve to re-hab your beliefs, especially those concerning the magic and mystery you may attribute to being in love, or to earning. Happy Birthday, Scorpio, and good luck!

There’s just the slightest bit of internal tension over Love and/ or Money this coming Solar year, dear Scorpio, through to your next birthday, and problems likely come directly from the natal Houses ruled by Venus–so what can you do about it? That internal tension will manifest right out in material matters–so it won’t be hard to see what you need to work on–but the best thing may be that deep and profound change may spring from what seems minor at the time. A combination of inspiration and the discovery of secrets or hidden material may spur you in the direction of a major life re-focus–and that’s good. Communications will be key to the choices you make; know that the more honestly you approach things, and the more effort you make to uncover your own hidden motives, the better the results will be. Happy Birthday, Scorpio, and good luck!

'On the Way to the Market' Monogrammist L.M {{PD}}

‘On the Way to the Market’ Monogrammist L.M {{PD}}

Dear Scorpio, circumstances this coming year, through to your next birthday, will be tests of your ability to empower yourself, and also tests of what power you already hold in life. That doesn’t sound too glamorous–stressful, even–until you realize you are being handed the key to both Love and Money. Then the questions become: do you need to be more or less assertive to get what you want? What will it cost you, and what will you gain? Do you need to be cooperative or go it alone? And what are you looking for in terms of status? You need to be especially clear on this last matter, as not taking those desires into account can mean you find yourself at the end of the year unfulfilled, in spite of making the effort. Big hint: excavate what’s in your emotional ‘blind spot’, that area others can see about you that you can’t–the more you truly understand yourself, the better your choices will be. Happy Birthday, Scorpio, and good luck!

Dear Scorpio, do you feel like Love and/ or Money is looking at you in the rear-view mirror and waving goodbye? Please don’t be sad–bigger things are on their way. You’ll ‘get the message’ concerning this within the next two months, and will take delivery sometime over the coming ten months after that, in a period stretching through to your next birthday. In the meantime, stay strong, keep ambitions, goals, and dreams at the forefront of consciousness, and watch the House Jupiter is currently transiting, along with the House Jupiter rules natally, for opportunities that can help take you where you want to go. Featured Solar Return aspect: Pallas trine Neptune=in dreams and visions you’ll find wisdom. Happy Birthday, Scorpio, and good luck!
