The 4th is a Good Day To . . . lay low, at least until the Moon is well into Taurus (enters Taurus 8:15 AM PST/ 11:15 AM EST, out of range of described issues probably by sometime after 3 PM Pacific). We technically start the day under a Void Aries Moon, which is like an invitation to frustrated energies and emotional discomfort as it is. And, as Luna enters Taurus, it quincunxes Mars at 00 Sagittarius and moves quickly on to conjoin Uranus. That spells anger that leads to impulsivity, or action that brings on the unexpected, even chaos–and all of it backed by emotions, the feeling nature, intuition, or senses stirred and driving choices. Add to this that as the Moon approaches Uranus it semi-squares Neptune and semi-sextiles Chiron, and what occurs could have origins in a misperception (or, in more fortunate circumstances, be inspired by spirit), and may relate to the wound–with the question being, will we heal or hurt ourselves with our spontaneous acting out?

‘Mont Sainte-Victoire and the Viaduct of the Arc River Valley’ By Paul Cézanne {{PD}}

There’s been a glitch around the post for the 2nd ever since I wrote it; please click here to find it!

The 3rd is a Good Day To . . . use our current empowerment options to mine those areas we’ve been ignoring or denying for the rewards, positives, relationship payoffs, and benefits they can offer. ‘Use what you’ve got’ may be our motto, and what’s been learned in the past and from past experience can be especially useful, with one exception, discussed below.

Mars moves into Sagittarius, and we head for the horizon. We want to know, to expand our reach, to learn or teach, and our initial impulse may be to believe that what we thought yesterday can still guide us today (Merc conj SN)–and in this one area, action propelled by curiosity and the need to explore, we find the one place we must rely more on reading the current reality than on accumulated knowledge or experience.

If we have any other watchword, it might be, ‘Keep it healthy’. Our habits and behaviors carry a bigger impact than usual, right now.

The 1st is a Good Day To . . . remind yourself that the past wasn’t actually easier than what you face now, it just seems so. There’s also the matter of being hyper-aware of all the restrictions, barriers, and ‘no’s you’re currently being served in the ambition and desire fulfillment areas. Don’t worry–it’s just that today shadows and negative elements seem more prominent than opportunities and positives, but that’s just a perceptual trick of the light. It’s a time to rest, recover, and recuperate–discomfort should point you toward things that really will hold you back, if not attended to–everything else can wait while you get things, and yourself, ready for tomorrow.

Happy New Year to One and All!

The 31st is a Good Day To . . . proceed with care. Our New Year’s Eve temptation will be to indulge in something unhealthy that is specific to our past. This develops only because our instincts are off, corrupted by all those things we’ve been ignoring or in denial of. They’re like whispers urging us to backslide, give up, not love ourselves. We do best to listen for and be open to the genuine Love around us, and to offer this to others in our communications; the challenge is that what’s authentic may not look as we expect it to, and what we usually see as loving may take on a very different hue today. We have to be open to seeing interactions and expressions for what they are, and to seeing what they actually mean. We benefit by thinking–a simple formula, but one we may consider dodging for any number of reasons! Just don’t. Have a very happy and safe start to the New Year!

The 30th is a Good Day To . . . engage in radical and radically original thinking. Spontaneous communication is the most enlightening, informed as it will be by Higher Mind. Apply what’s most unique within a situation or even within yourself to understanding the present and its connection to the past. Carry on!

The 29th is a Good Day To . . . watch out! There’s a current, uncanny mix of actions and choices that ride on the over-confident shoulders of all those matters that enrage us, or that we are fundamentally in denial of, and that are consistently in disharmony with the instincts and what we ‘know but don’t know’ add to that thinking rooted in the complex of the wound, and a relatively incredible kind of luck, opportunity, and harmony with our opposite number or complementary part. Feels stressful only if we think about it too much; otherwise we are off to the races, for good or ill. Just try to be as conscious as possible concerning our own and others’ hidden motives, and be aware that whatever happens that stems from our place within the social order, it’s without question actually in our favor (that is, the social order may save us from ourselves!)

The 28th is a Good Day To . . . do two things: challenge our notions of the empowerment we think we deserve, and pursue ambition fulfillment via the smartest and most practical avenues possible. Too, Mercury enters Capricorn, turning the mental faculties toward the niceties of process, containment, and ‘the rules’. We may inadvertently favor ‘the establishment’, could potentially shut down communication (especially if it feels dangerous, likely when during this transit the Moon is in Water), and could end up suppressing more radical or inventive thinking–just be aware.

The 27th is a Good Day To . . . listen fully and completely to that wave of creative power, because it leads directly to Self-possession and full empowerment. Actions based on belief and/ or ‘the facts’, or that are attuned to offering aid within the social order, go brilliantly, and the Sun shines on us, bringing ‘luck’, resourcefulness, and access to opportunity. It all sounds great, right? The one thing we must avoid is overthinking, exaggerating things in our own minds as we look for mental justification of whatever comes at us via a search of our intuitive faculties; that will only take us into a place where we question our values and priorities, and that’s unnecessary, as well as unworthy of our time.

The 26th is a Good Day To . . . let go and follow our instincts for what to do, as trying to sort out the mental picture, the reasoning behind our choices, or the ‘correct’ way to go is beyond us, today. We’re confused about both values and our own level of empowerment, thrown for a loop by relationship or financial vagaries, and may take a brooding stance; with this latter we search the landscape for justification, rather than seeing the mood spring from realities. In some important way we’re ‘chasing the dragon’, lost in delusion or misunderstanding; though this energy is essentially creative, it will in this instance repeatedly take us to a dark place. So, act and choose without much mental preamble or emotional impetus, refuse to hold out for total understanding, and things will turn out better than we might otherwise think.
