It may feel like we’re purposely, Self-destructively, relentlessly staring into the Sun today, out of a pressing need to figure something out: a power situation, a destructive potential, the right transformative move. We’re counting on the revelation, the surprise, the shock, or Higher Mind to send us in the right direction, but we can’t seem to shake the past, or the way our mind seems to run the hamster wheel, restless, restless, restless. If we’ll relax into it, allow synchronicities and the unexpected/ unscripted to guide us, we’ll connect a growing critical faculty to what’s smart, and come up with appropriate, even fortuitous, ideas of what to do, how to handle things.

What works today is spontaneous, ingenious, and original; what doesn’t is anything where we go primal, listening to the instincts and turning the brain to OFF. Wisdom has the support of our sense of personal authority and competence, higher mind and invention has the support of wisdom, and though our perceptions of the real world may be off (askew from hurt, recent power struggles, or obstacles not clearly recognized) they will respond positively to any investment (energy, talents, assets) we choose to make toward ambition or goal realization, or desire fulfillment.

Even as we try to expand our reach or expand our power and authority, we feel pressure from past hang-ups, the kind of thing where our own fears bedeviled our efforts before, and those same fears, especially ones around destruction or loss, plague us once again. What we’re not recognizing is that opportunity, especially opportunity uniquely suited to us, only comes when we choose to be fully Self-responsible; the urge to not ‘go it alone’, in this instance, isn’t about partnership, camaraderie, or cooperation, it’s about fear.
