We’ll start a little essence of the weekend with this aspect, tonight Pacific time: 11 PM the Taurus Moon quincunxes Juno; now we must adjust to our own or others’ empowerment needs–as Winnie the Pooh would say, Oh bother!
For Saturday the 15th we look at 1 PM PDT, when the Moon quincunxes Mercury, and either we must adjust our own message according to things we sense running below the surface, because of secrets, or on the discovery of something heretofore hidden (Merc in Scorpio) or we receive communications where what’s important is found in the subtext. Put on your detective hat and think above, below, and around the words. This begins a Finger of God with base of Mercury sextile Pluto apex Moon where competently blending recent changes to rules, life structures, boundaries, and organization with our current situation, those things we may have suppressed or denied, hidden or buried, and we will see an especially effective period where we can communicate through the emotions, giving and receiving, and where we can intuit a great deal from the communications of others. Exploit this time and this gift carefully.
And for Sunday the 16th, at 5 PM PDT we see the Moon square Ceres, and we get resistance from Mother Nature, authorities, or a maternal figure; do we deserve it? Maybe. This would be a good point at which to look at things from the ‘other’ point of view, as we may be too prone to dwell in our own heads at this time.

Juno, an asteroid. There are millions of asteroids. How many of them affect our charts? How great is the knowledge of their effects?

Though there are many asteroids, and many people studying them, only a relative few have been studied thoroughly enough that I’ve begun to include them regularly (and that only after giving them review of months or even years in chart work myself). The one exception in my astro-vocabulary is hypothetical Zeus, which is something I stumbled upon, find useful, but that isn’t used by anyone else that I’m aware of–but many other astrologers use far more of the bodies than I do–everyone seems to have combinations they’re comfortable with–and you could literally investigate them forever! The Big 5 that are pretty commonly accepted and used are Ceres, Vesta, Pallas, Juno, and Chiron, and many people are versed in Eris, Sedna, and others that have received much scrutiny of late.

Thank you. I had mixed up Chiron with Charon, the moon of Pluto. Looking further, I see it is a Centaur.
The attributes of the planet Mars in Astrology are similar to the attributes of the Roman God Mars, I understand. Does Chiron behave like a mythical Centaur?

Chiron has his own particular story, unique to him (and of course, one of the things Chiron signifies is a unique gift or talent we possess, that we can offer others but can’t use for our own benefit) involving Hercules, arrows that inflict wounds that can’t heal, Prometheus, and liver! You can google him for the whole story, and there are many books on his significance in astrology, including my own ‘Chiron in the Natal Chart’
