Just before 7 PM PST the Moon conjuncts Mercury; we get the message through the emotions, and what we realize has far-reaching implications (Sagittarius). This is likely to be some sort of knowledge–consider carefully how you will use it.
Remember, it’s the Dark of the Moon–contemplation is favored over action.

Don’t know if you’re “into” Fixed Stars or not, but it may be worth noting how close the Moon/Mercury conjunction is to the Fixed Star, Antares. I’m wondering if we might tend to be more assertive/aggressive in our methods of communication, making your advice to “consider carefully” even more important. All this is conjunct my IC, so I appreciate the heads-up.
Happy Holidays, Julie! Thanks for all you do.
Hi LB!
I’m very interested in the Fixed Stars, but they seem most consistent in mundane application, and since I concentrate on the effects on individuals, I haven’t given FS much study–when I have I find the significance sometimes quite appropriate and other times not so much–but always anything indicated by a FS shows in other ways in the chart, in my experience–and then there’s the quandry of when we stop, as there are so many! Han (Zeta Ophiuchus) is even more closely conjunct the Moon/ Mercury meeting than is Antares, and is said to have a Venus-Saturn flavor–so does that influence the conjunction, too? Possibly–but you get my drift here, it can be overwhelming to put too much attention to FS meanings in relation to aspects. I do like to site them for event charts–there I see a real and very useful application–and of course a natal chart is an event chart (we are each an event! I like that thought) so in terms of natal meaning they might have real significance–but of course the lit on this is sparse, and so seeing any consistency can be difficult. I think I would take the fire of Sagittarius as enough of an indicator on its own for highly assertive communications–it’s that ‘get it out there’ nature, which can be quite insistent!
A very happy holiday to you, too, LB–and thank you!

Thanks for your thoughtful reply – I see your point (and agree), but now want to look up the other one you mentioned (Han???); I can’t help myself. :0 I smiled reading your comment about Sag being enough of an indicator for assertive communications. In the case of today’s conjunction, who needs Antares when Sagittarius is involved? It’s almost redundant! Thanks again, Julie.
