Here’s a tid-bit from the current ECLIPSE; order now for all the latest!

9 PM PDT of the 10th the Cancer Moon trines Earth in Pisces, followed by a sextile of Moon to Mercury in Virgo. We have a unique window in which to ‘sense’ material matters and then successfully bring them to the conscious mentality. This offers an excellent point at which to understand what is surrounding us and why, and to bring it fully into the mind, with nothing obscured or left out. We can be sure of what we perceive, if we are open to the Truth of our reality.

From ECLIPSE; order it now!

The 9th of September sees perfection of one, very spicy aspect: Mars sesquiquadrate Ceres. This may stir an enormous amount of upset, as the ego and the temper just can’t hold back when it comes to confronting authority, Mother Nature (and we know how much good yelling at Mother Nature does!) or actual Mom. The urge to express will be like hot sauce on the tongue: burny, and really unpleasant, but it would do us good to realize that our attention is really on ourselves–we’re thinking about what we want to say, what we mean, so that Mom or the person in charge is more than likely nothing more than a convenient target. Think twice before you open your mouth.

Straight from the brand-new ECLIPSE–Order now!

9 AM PDT 7 September Luna squares Chiron, sextiles Pallas, and quincunxes Pluto. We try to adjust but it still hurts–we have to accept that a little pain is inevitable, and maybe it’s smart to open arms to the adjustment, the acceptance, and the hurt, as a reminder that we’re human. A few will take the fleeting and wide Finger of God with Gemini Moon apex and base of Mars-Pluto to heart and lash out, show real anger, or have a tantrum. The rest of us will let it glide by, abdicating the opportunity to act like an ass.

A little something for your day; for much more, including people in the news, astrology practice and technique, and an aspect by aspect full Lunar and planetary report, delivered to your email every Thursday, please subscribe!

11 AM PDT kicks off a flurry of Lunar activity, with the Taurus Moon trine the Sun, followed by Moon quincunx Zeus, with a semi-sextile to Jupiter thrown in for the exaggeration factor. We may get all bent out of shape over others’ reception of our ambitions and plans, and they have a similar reaction to our response. We see easily how our emotions aren’t in the best place to support our wants–and that should lead us to re-consider how appropriate they may or may not be. Rather than suppress the emos, just let them out safely, possibly by ranting in a room with the door closed and no one else in sight.

Check it out!

A little something for your day; to see more, become a subscriber!

The 4th promises trouble with the conscience.  A Finger of God is formed with base of Mercury-Mars and apex of Pallas-Uranus. This may seem at first a lot like looking down the barrel of a loaded rifle–but it doesn’t end up with anyone’s head coming off, as long as we observe a few simple precautions. With Mars in Scorpio, the impulse might be to act rather dramatically, but if we let Mercury in Virgo temper action with critical reasoning, what we’ll get instead of an explosion is a flash of wisdom or skill. Beautiful!

‘The Jockey’ Toulouse-Lautrec {{PD-Art}}

A little something on the Full Moon, from the new ECLIPSE:

The Full Moon in Pisces occurs at 6:57 AM Pacific time of the 31st at 8 Pisces 33. Along with the conjunction to Chiron, the sextile to Pluto, and the semi-sextile to Uranus, the Full Moon adds a semi-sextile to Pallas and a sesquiquadrate to Venus, but eschews any aspect of more than 2 degrees, for precision! This tells us that, added to the experience of either hurting or healing, we learn something, something we can define as wisdom–so what happens has a deep and useful meaning, whether we recognize that or not, and that we must adjust either relationships or finances (or perhaps even re-align values) in order to accommodate what we learn.

The Sabian for the Full Moon is ‘A Jockey Spurs His Horse, Intent on Outdistancing His Rivals’  With the Moon nestled within the square between Uranus and Pluto, I guess we shouldn’t be surprised to find that this energy is one of finishing a race, with the sense of competition at a fever pitch. Certainly we see this striving all around us, in the US at a national level with the Presidential campaign, and personally as we spoke about before, with each of us trying to empower ourselves, to enhance our individuality. This symbol suggests that all will be focused; it does not, however, promise victory.

See it all here –and Thanks to All who have! And everyone, enjoy your weekend!

Just a Little Astro Essence for 28-29 August 2012: ‘Risk’

‘Paysanne de Frascati at the confessional’ Bodinier 1826 {{PD-Art}}

From the current ECLIPSE:

On the 28th our Mercurial energies are on fire, yet we don’t know it! The urge to communicate is hidden–and that means it leaks out in all kinds of goofy ways. We may channel the urge through involvement with nature, tangling with Mom or authorities, or in negotiations–and this means that all these areas are open to risk, the biggest one being that we might give something away about our own position or beliefs that we’d hope to keep quiet about. Both our inner wisdom and our need to feel unique or to shock will be influencing what goes on–so be very very aware.

The Very Inspiring Blogger Award

Tags

,

Though I’ve been mostly away from the internet these last couple of weeks, I had to come back to thank Jo Tracey for nominating me for The Very Inspiring Blogger Award. She actually tagged me from her newish site, And Anyways that covers all her non-astro adventures. Do check it out–she’s got a great eye and shares her photos, food exploits, and much more–so thank you, Jo! And on to the rules (because these things always have rules). Personally, I won’t hold any of my nominees to list publishing or Soul-baring–that’s up to them. So, I’ll call them ‘the suggestions’–and they are:

  1. Display the award logo on your blog
  2. Link back to the person who nominated you (that would be you Jo…)
  3. State 7 things about yourself
  4. Nominate 15 other bloggers for the award and link to them
  5. Notify those bloggers of the nomination and the awards requirements.

1) When I was younger I seemed to be tall–now I seem short–what happened?  2) I love to read 3) I don’t sleep as much as I need or would like to–I’m too afraid I’ll miss something 4) I love to cook 5) I’ve actually, literally, skinned a cat (for anatomy class–before that I thought it was just a saying, that there’s more than one way!) 6) I studied midwifery; the first baby I caught was named Gustavo–he should be 32 by now 7) I love to garden

Bloggers whose work I admire, in no special order:

1. I’ve got to start with Jo–and her new blog–she has a light touch and shares her interests, excellent photos, and thoughts in a way that’s almost like taking a break when you read it–and my Pisces Moon loves an escape!

2. There’s another blog from one of my astro friends that should be mentioned, Two Hours You’ll Never Get Back by Jude Cowell–a lovely and thought-provoking diversion with a touch of humor.

3. wildmonkeysects  makes occasional, sharp-witted observation of the world–what more could you want?

4. When looking to identify the planets in the sky, I love the highly informative Naked Eye Planets  This site should answer most of your astronomy questions, and quite a few about the lore behind the major bodies

5. Deb’s Tarot Goodness a succinct, no-nonsense take on the upcoming week through Tarot

6. Her Halcyon Phase has an engaging, righteous (and I mean that in a good way), thought-provoking energy

7. Shannon Food is a meditation on what the earth produces, what we can do with it, and what it means to us, written by a true Chef of the heart

8.  The Oculus Divinorum’s The Feral Tarot can be appreciated by anyone into the Art of the Cards–part resource, part exploration, always interesting

9. The Mirror of Aphrodite offers a take on relationships and our behavior in them that is both exciting and full of common sense

10. An astute and very intriguing take on spirituality, paganism, and autism can be found at The Other Side

11. A discussion of science fiction, fantasy, and Art that focuses on the way we see and interpret these: These Other Realms

12. Exploring the human condition through thought, and sometimes astrology, Learning Curve on the Ecliptic

13. Peter Stockinger’s Traditional Astrology Weblog is an excellent resource for all things traditional and horary

14. Shifting Realities by Verena Heinrich offers concentrated astro assessment with lots of detail

and finally, 15. A Question of Mindfulness offers first-person experience and spiritual insight in a thoughtful, considered way

I’ll be back with 2-3x per week postings in just a few days–if you want to get it all, please subscribe to ECLIPSE; the upcoming issue, due out Thursday evening PDT, offers the detailed aspect and Lunar forecast for the week, and will come with a free booklet,  2012 The Elevation of Chiron–all current subscribers will receive this, as will anyone who orders by 30 August 2012.

Here’s a good presentation on the Perseids that also offers you an App to count meteor activity in your area for NASA. The display of ‘falling stars’ we see every year at this time is created as our atmosphere collides with the debris from comet Swift-Tuttle. Enjoy the show!

Just a Little Astro Essence for 9-10 August 2012: ‘Languid Summer Days’

Tags

, , ,

Love this painting by Charles Courtney Curran–even used it in an early issue of ECLIPSE. For me it perfectly evokes the heat and humidity of a languid summer day. 1888 {{PD-Art}}

Just needed to come up for air in my quest to 1) finish client work, 2) finish the Vesta book, which will be free to current subscribers, 3) finish an extra for subscribers (that will also be for sale to non-subscribers) on Chiron’s elevation in 2012, and 4) enjoy a little bit of summer before it’s gone. It’s beautiful weather right now, the garden’s in full bloom, we’re harvesting zucchini, carrots (it’s the Northwest, there’s really only one gardening season!) tomatoes, bell and hot peppers, Swiss chard, and just today, some delicate, pink-skinned fingerling potatoes–I hope you’re enjoying the atmosphere (and eating as well) as we are right now.

The 9th of August we see Vesta sextile Pallas  (we work to balance what the social sphere reveres and what we know is wise) and Venus quincunx the North Node and trine Neptune. This latter grouping promises some ‘dream come true’ or ideal conditions, especially in love and/ or money, but we will be made aware of how having that dream may interfere with (or even change) our destined direction. Consider carefully, with full awareness that having your cake will alter whether you can eat it in the future, too.

The 10th of August brings spanky fresh Mercury direct trine the North Node, and communications seem to come to life, up and running with messages flying all over the place, especially messages pertaining to plans and the future. It feels like prime time to get all those things going we put on hold during the retrograde–but we’re not there totally until Merc is back out past the point at which he made his turnaround (reached on 22 August)–just keep this in mind.

That’s it for now–I may pop in again before my hiatus is over, but if you’ve been missing these posts, the thing to do is order ECLIPSE–that’s where the material above is from–it’s inexpensive (only $5 per month) and tres useful–look! you made me pull out some exotic charm, just in the hopes you’ll give it a try.
