‘A Romance’ By Santiago Rusiñol 1894 {{PD}}

The 8th is a Good Day To . . . dump both delusions about Power and actions and choices based on hurt. ‘Clean up your act!’ might be the mantra today; doing so offers some dazzling and unexpected payoffs in terms of reach, role, and ability to affect circumstances. Romance and/ or finances could get deep; expect hidden facets of both to come to the surface, thanks to Venus entering Scorpio.

The 7th is a Good Day To . . . trust the instincts, imagination, creativity, and ideals to provide needed wisdom and practical guidance. Trust yourself! Dreams and values are a beacon for thought and action, and connecting to your own inner power as well as Nature itself promises both to reveal what’s standing in your way and an effective way to handle it.

The 6th is a Good Day To . . . work out the obstacles that either the social sphere or our own beliefs put in the way of our empowerment or of our attaining the status we desire. Instincts and highest values are one and the same at this time, which would usually endow us with extraordinary harmony in thought and action, but it’s clear that for all our internal alignment in these areas we must still modify what we want, relationships, and/ or what we’re willing to pay to get where we want to go. Thinking runs along conventional lines, which may be at least part of the problem (original or innovative approaches are few and far between), though the other issue centers on where our attention goes: rather than wrestling with ourselves over our potential distrust of our own impulses, we’d do best to keep our eye on any problems or circumstances that make a smooth past-to-future transition more difficult than it needs to be.

The 5th is a Good Day To . . . full on embrace all that we’ve been running away from. I know! Who’d have guessed that a big ol’ armful of denied or ignored matters would be just the ticket? But all the answers, all of worth, all our rewards, profits, and Love come from the courageous move of facing what we’d rather not. Such a simple dictate, and it pays off. Really, resistance is futile.

The 4th is a Good Day To . . . take extra care with our words, as there’s a danger of both misinterpretation and deception (deliberate or not), and what we don’t acknowledge or accept leaks out, exposing weaknesses, needs, and desires–many of which we’d rather keep to ourselves. This makes for reasoning that could resist what we otherwise know to be wise, and could result in an unhealthy focus on aesthetics, money, or impossibly perfect romance in relationships. It’s best to sit back, allow things to happen around us, take the initiative only in the most straightforward and innocuous of matters.

The 3rd is a Good Day To . . . watch Mars enter Libra. Do we have to? No, but if we’re aware of the Warrior changing signs, it’s all to our advantage; otherwise we can end up suddenly frustrated, passive-aggressive, and feeling we must (needlessly) show our independence within partnerships. That’s what Mars in his sign of detriment tends to bring out in us, if we’re not conscious that the ego, Will, and action urge are finding it more difficult than usual to express.

Also note: wisdom fails us today in matters of Love, Money, or feeling; we have an usually potent ability to support our health and keep our wounds in perspective–that’s truly beneficial; and Merc enters Scorpio, and we may find the mind going to dark places–and if we allow it, it effectively kills originality.

The 2nd is a Good Day To . . . watch Pluto station direct. This may feel like a light at the end of the tunnel, a break, a reward, a promise–but don’t expect yourself to trust this right away. The shift is subtle and at the same time right beneath your feet, so that it’s hard to believe what’s intimated will actually come to be. Don’t worry–it, or something very like it, will.

Unavailable for the next three days. All comments, queries, and orders will be filled late Wednesday the 2nd Pacific time.

The 1st is a Good Day To . . . all the things we’d rather not see or acknowledge create illusions or misperceptions that end up robbing us of our mojo. How to combat it? By sticking to the reality picture, what’s solid, practical, and steady–these things can be counted on, by willingly adjusting our own ideas to accommodate the needs and expectations of others (without, of course, abandoning our own priorities and values), and by not paying too much mind to what we see ourselves as able to do in the first place–that only makes us curtail our efforts prematurely–if we’re busy measuring our potential options, then we sure aren’t exercising them.

The 30th is a Good Day To . . . keep your eye on the future; here’s how: 1. deceptions come from those things we deny or ignore–but so do inspirations; 2. action and choice must be based on BOTH values and instincts–if the ‘support’ of one or the other of these internal guidelines is missing, don’t do it; 3. ambitions must align with what we value as well as not overdraw assets–and no matter what, refuse to fight over the power of Self-determination–you have it already, no matter what anyone else thinks; 4. smart ideas spring from exploring the empowerment options or exercising the status you already enjoy–no need to wait until you attain tomorrow’s rank to get moving; and finally, 5. don’t overthink it.

‘The Picturebook’ By Lilla Cabot Perry c1900 {{PD}}

The 29th is a Good Day To . . . adjust your expressions of personal authority, or your exercising of prerogatives over others, with an eye to where you consciously want to go and the future you want to create. The mind is off-kilter, somehow alienated from its own deeply felt commitments and values, so that the way we think we should respond or choose needs to be filtered through our vision of the life we want to build. Just for today, the future is the only thing we should be aiming for, the thing we must keep in mind with each choice and decision, the only thing that matters.
