‘Medizin’ (Medicine) By Gustav Klimt {{PD}}

After yesterday, we may be looking for remedies; we find them in accepting as much appropriate responsibility as possible, in rejecting anything destructive, especially those things harsh on relationships or finances (including overspending), and by trusting ourselves and our judgment over feedback from the social arena, and even over facts that may present contradiction–if we’re willing to examine those, we will know whether it’s smart to go ahead with our idea or not.

For those born with the Sun at 29 Gemini. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). It may feel very important to you, dear Gemini, to get the power situation straight. It may even present as a crisis, or a series of them, where status, reach, authority, and the support (or lack of it) of partners will be clearly defined–and from there you can choose what to do, because you will, definitely, need to be in charge this solar year, through to your next birthday–at the least, calling the shots for your own future, at most determining life direction for many many others. Creativity is high, and opportunities arrive, but they are hard-won, so appreciate how much went into making this potential avenue available, before you say yay or nay. By the end of the year, if not sooner, emotions and intuition will strongly support personal development. Good luck!

Geez, what made everybody so mad? Mostly, it seems, it’s about facing various power structures and finding how really hard they are to topple, change, talk to, eliminate, make an impact on, overcome, or wrest power from, for our own use. Yesterday, and/ or our own thinking, set us up to think this would be easy, and it’s anything but. We may have to take a step back, for our own health and safety, and look for the payoffs that aren’t quite so power and reality focused–which sounds disappointing until you realize that our perceptions of things are what matter. Our upset at not achieving all we’d hoped in the blink of an eye must be put into perspective–that is, we must credit ourselves with all we do accomplish, and then use our agile minds to plan, because the reality is change happens in steps; only accidents and earthquakes happen without anticipation, and you don’t want to be in charge of one of those, do you?

For those born with the Sun at 28 Gemini. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). Dear Gemini, your empowerment is on the agenda this solar year, through to your next birthday, but it’s only fair to warn you that the kind and shape of power you’ve longed for (and this applies even if all you want is dominion over yourself) is likely to come through crisis–that’s where you’ll prove your ingenuity, that you care, and that you are more than capable–and it will be rewarded. So, it won’t come to you the way you’ve dreamed of it happening, but it will come–and then you’ll need to make peace with how you got it, with your position, with your personal sense of authority, with your true reach, and there’ll be an inevitable reckoning of your abilities–all in preparation for the next shift. Big aids include the ability to think it and act on it simultaneously, and to bring creative notions into real-world forms adeptly. Good luck!

Wow! This should be a really good day, as long as we are clear on what our actual values are–not what we tell ourselves they are, but what we have in reality put our time, energy, and attention into, lo these many years–because that is what will provide the muscle to bring the reality picture closer to the ideal (or allow us to manifest a creative idea in material terms), that will make our actions and choices brilliantly rewarding (as well as being the smart thing to do), and thought and action will be synchronized–with all the positives and pitfalls we might expect from such a partnership (including no need to stop and think, so in the moment choices dazzle, as well as having the chance to shoot our mouths off!) An amazing period for the aware and tuned-in; a bit frustrating, for a variety of reasons, for everyone else. If you find yourself not benefiting, it’s worth examining current values and commitments, as chances are there’s something you’re not seeing about them (or specifically, your relationship to them) that’s holding up this highly beneficial flow.

For those born with the Sun at 27 Gemini. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). Dear Gemini, it appears you’re in for some kind of breakthrough year, where your own thinking about who you are and what you’re here to do subtly becomes re-arranged. Of course, this can have a big impact on both how you see yourself and what you do, and may take the life off in unexpected directions. See it as a kind of emotional birth, where what’s been kept below suddenly surfaces, forcing the life in directions you really care about–that’s only good, no matter how disruptive, right? Know too that this is a super-creative time for you, and that ‘dreams come to reality’ is a definite possibility–really, more often than not this solar year, through to your next birthday, you’ll think the thought, and it will happen. Good luck!

Yesterday’s Full Moon is right here–

17 June 2019 Full Moon in Sagittarius: Denouement

‘The Banquet of the Officers of the St George Militia Company in 1627’ By Frans Hals {{PD}}

The Full Moon, at 25 Sagittarius 53, occurs at 1:30 AM PDT, and is apex to a Finger of God with base of Juno-Sedna–which sextile naturally catches the Sun, currently parallel to Mercury, at its midpoint. The only other viable contact is the Full Moon in (very) wide conjunction with Jupiter, its ruler. A Full Moon in Sagittarius brings a sense of ending, completion, or denouement, but one filled with optimism, that possibly presents new opportunities, and perhaps one that reveals needed knowledge, information, or ‘facts’, and these may either offer new directions to the individual or show precisely why the situation is viable no more.

Every Full Moon is a Moon-Earth conjunction, and this points up the way there is typically an emotional conclusion and a material one. Either we have a feeling reaction to what ends, or our feelings bring about the end of some physical situation, but in any case, there is both an internal experience and an external one, though certainly, the impact for one or the other varies with the individual. Some will feel the event is solely internal, others only external, but it benefits us to look at circumstances and try to draw the thread that connects our emotional state (of which we might not automatically be aware) and what’s happening, especially what’s coming to a close, around us physically.

The Finger suggests that what concludes arose from stress, in the clash between our status or a role that empowers us or where we can express ourselves, and our own instincts and our inability to follow them. Somehow our responsibilities, especially if we feel a certain amount of resentment or anger surrounding them, may be the foundation for this; our denial of those instincts, of our own needs or wants, is too powerful at this point to be dismissed–and so the events of the Full Moon appear, as the psyche manifests before us, possibly in exaggerated but also in informative ways.

We need to exercise caution: we may be acting from our ‘blind spot’, from some area or on some issue that we believe we understand or have dominion over, though in reality we don’t. We might also be mustering our instincts out of hurt or vengeance–remember, Juno didn’t take that disrespect dished out to her lying down.

The Sabian symbol for the Full Moon is, ‘A Flag Bearer In A Battle‘. The flag bearer is essentially a non-combatant, even though this individual risks just as much as anyone else out on the battle field. We may feel that we are simply a standard bearer, that we are ‘letting everyone know’, and so not really involved in the battle–and this tells us that’s a false perception, likely offering us a false sense of safety. And maybe that’s what we learn with the Full Moon events: that we can’t hold ourselves separate from the tumult around us.

The purpose of a flag bearer in battle is to help orient the soldiers to where their forces are gathered, and to how far forward, or how much in retreat, they are at any one time. So, for some of us this Sagittarius Full Moon may be a marker of sorts, one that tells us how much progress in ‘the fight’ we’ve actually made.

Dominique Lang ‘Matin d’hiver’ 1916 {{PD}}

The Sun, always vital in a Full Moon scenario (how else would the Moon shine?) has the Sabian, ‘Frost-Covered Trees Against Winter Skies‘. This suggests to me that Full Moon events were either set in motion last winter, or if we look carefully, we will see their origins there. At the time we may have had the impression that related matters (maybe even our feelings) were ‘frozen’–now we know they’re not.

No matter what happens at this point, we learn something, facts or how we feel–that’s the beauty of Moon in Sagittarius.

For those born with the Sun at 26 Gemini. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). This solar year for you, dear Gemini, may bring some a number of endings, especially emotional ones, and it may ask you to find a role in life that both empowers you and allows you to show and make use of your vibrant inner life. That’s a tall order, when most of us are just trying to make a living, but you have the capacity this year, through to your next birthday, to create/ find the perfect spot for you. As a natural consequence, this will change many things in your life, but I’m guessing you’re more than ready to show more of who you are, even as you heal your sense of yourself as a unique and interesting individual. Good luck!

The ideas are golden, clear and crisp, and very exciting–but somehow, if we were to materialize them just as we are imagining, they would conflict with our ambitions (or at least, the goals we’ve set) and undermine our personal authority. That’s no fun. We prevent Self-sabotage and get our ideas on the map in three ways: we don’t do anything that chips away at our health: physical, spiritual, financial, emotional; we accept reality, and the current authorities, even if they are wrong and we don’t like them, because we don’t have to like them to see What Is; and, we can use the social sphere as a handy measure: what they revere, we reject, what they say we can’t do (in the ‘you’ll never succeed’ sense), we see the possibilities and see how we can pursue the goal or solve the problem. We won’t change the world today, but we’re building the structures, mechanisms, and alliances that will.

Today’s word image is a beautiful, full lavender plant that curls in upon itself–is it dead, you wonder?–but that then unfurls as soon as it’s planted. This is about understanding how important the right environment is, and it’s also about not being upset with ourselves if we’re not in full bloom–we just aren’t at the right spot, we haven’t created the optimum environment, yet. Look to your Earth in the natal chart (it’s always, always, always located directly opposite the Sun) for clues as to what environment you need to help you become the fullest, highest, and best expression of who you are.

For those born with the Sun at 25 Gemini. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). Your strongest ally this solar year, through to your next birthday, dear Gemini, may be your own very clear sense of what’s right, your instinctual knowledge, and your willingness to call out destruction and even evil for what it is. Accepting that ability in yourself makes your way forward evident, and consistently gives you both the power to change things and opens up choice, no matter the circumstances. In some sense this may be a ‘heavy’ year, but it’s also an empowering one, and could lead to bringing some ideals to reality, and to some truly creative, imaginative, and inspired actions and thinking. Good luck!

15 June 2019 Thrown Into The Future

‘Diary of a Seducer’ By Arshile Gorky 1945 {{PD}}

It’s a day where embracing our own empowerment and exercising that power in areas we know are our own, as well as using skills we know we are adept with, can hurtle us forward, into our future Self. It’s almost like if we hit the ‘right’ vibratory attitude, we’ll whoosh ahead, developing instantly into what we will become (or at least, morphing into it temporarily, for a day). This means we’ll also get that glimpse ahead with others, seeing where they’re headed.

Find the vibe, and you definitely benefit in ways you may have never thought of before. It’s also appropriate to think about the future–where do you want to go, who do you want to be? What might get in the way of all this accelerated development are all those matters you’ve ignored, denied, or grown angry over but not faced. These can lead you in a direction where your actions won’t really matter (but of course, you won’t know that in the moment), where you’ll spend a long time and lots of energy making irrelevant choices. So, check those empowerment options against instincts and what you ‘know but don’t know’, which can help you avoid stepping into and acting out of your ‘blind spot’, or succumbing to the siren song of efforts that support nothing but the ego.

For those born with the Sun at 24 Gemini. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). You may spend a good portion of the solar year ahead, through to your next birthday, Gemini, trying to pinpoint your feelings, and there may be a considerable sense of being alienated from yourself–but don’t take this too much to heart. It may be that the Universe is offering you a respite from what has recently been something of an emotional whirlwind; circumstances may be giving you enough space to go forward in other areas that need attention. Think carefully about what you really want, as it may be extra easy to fall into patterns from the past, especially the kind that offer as much of a straight jacket as they do legitimate security. But then again, all that thinking will likely bring forward some of the most creative insights you’ve ever had, and the way will be clear for you to pursue/ manifest them. Good luck!

Outrage, anger, aggression, speaking (or more likely showing) Truth to Power, making a point–we’ve all got something we’re trying to impress upon others or the environment, and the more unconscious we are, the more angry and out-of-control we’ll be. A few pointers: don’t ignore realities–work with them, instead; obstacles may be in place for your protection, as they could prevent regrettable, in-the-moment choices; don’t try a two-birds-with-one-stone approach, specifically if you’re trying to further ambitions–it won’t work and may bleed valuable energy from other matters; if you’re going in the wrong direction, the facts may point that out to you–ignore at your peril; beliefs are going to be challenged–bend, willow, don’t break; and finally, engaging in power struggles will cost you assets, including relationships–so make your point and walk away–you’re not the idiot whisperer, and you’ve not been charged with changing others’ minds, with ‘educating’ them, no matter how it may feel.

‘Little Green Willow’ By Helen Hyde 1905 {{PD}}

This energy will put us at odds with the social sphere no matter what, but what’s really important is that we’re okay with ourselves, with who we are. Be clear on that, and refuse to wrassle for power, and you can convert that outward-pushing energy into productive, focused effort.

(Mars sesq Ceres, opp Saturn, sq Zeus, and qnx Jupiter, Venus sesq Pluto, Sun parallel Mars)

Today’s word image isn’t a word or phrase or described image, it’s instead something the Universe has been especially persistent in showing lately, and that is that it’s not speaking in symbols and complex language, it’s shouting at us pretty directly.We’re seeing all around us clear signals about what is happening with each of us, and with all larger entities. Two examples: a particular business entity was scheduled to have their yearly ice cream social today, but the freezer went on the fritz and all of it melted–and this entity is indeed in a state of crisis, in the midst of a slow-motion melt down. My other example comes from a chat I had with someone last week. This person was telling me about someone who runs a particular promotional business, and how she had come to other shop owners, trying to work a deal where she would get her name on their business productions and a cut of the profits, in exchange for . . . what? Her good will? She offered them nothing. The name of her company is supposed to be clever and playful, but it quite literally states that she wants to rob anyone she does business with! Obviously, I can’t name it for liability reasons, but it’s something along the lines of ‘Sneaky Thieves’! So, I think the point is that we need to be alert, look around, because not much is actually hidden, anymore. People are showing us who they are–believe them. And, I’d add to this, that if you’re receiving aggression because you’re showing firm boundaries, first you have my sympathy, and second, as the handmaids say, Latinesque style, “nolite te bastardes carborundorum”

Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). Gemini, you may be highly introspective this solar year, through to your next birthday, and that’s a good thing–it’s time for you to excavate what has over time come closer and closer to the surface. What results could be unsettling, to the point of re-writing your current reality scenario, but no matter what, it will help you shed what you no longer need, what’s holding you back, and in so doing open the way for new experience, and a fresh new emotional scene. Expect renewal in many ways; expect, too, for emotional perceptions and intuitions to lead you toward some of the most creative times of your life. Good luck!

Today we need to give things shape, to find containers, forms, boundaries, for our power that both offer the appropriate amount of Self-responsibility and the appropriate measure of pure Self-expression. Those are a lot of big, vague concept words, not easily fit to real-world efforts, so here’s the prescription: put energy into creativity, give it a physical form by applying it to something you care about, something you feel deeply. Get into action, choose, impress yourself on the environment, and you will know when you’ve got it right by this: you’ll feel a little twinge, a little happiness, as your choices heal something vital and beautiful within.

For some of you this may be parsing things a little too finely, but I’d like to point out that the asteroid Hygeia receives quite a few contacts from other transiting bodies today, and to me this suggests a theme: what occurs offers us the chance to sort what’s good for us from what isn’t. It’s a point when our attention goes to the suddenly emphasized, the suddenly obvious, all in service to assessing what we need more of, what needs to be eliminated. We are likely to see the physical manifestations of our state of Being (another way of saying ‘health’), the ways social pressures and dictates have caused us to modify our behavior (in forms that may be either positive for us or harmful), and we get a glimpse forward to what our actions and choices are creating for the future. What we want to be, in the largest and most complete sense, is what we are considering at this time, and we see exactly how reality and our behaviors intersect, and the results.

With the Fist and the T-square we may get even more specific. The Fist offers us the ways the reality picture and our own ambitions and desires have intersected, and the ‘reward’ of such; the T shows us values and relationships and the ways these have caused conflict acted out and on via our own agency–that is, this shows both a measure of our own responsibility for the state of things, and how and why our relationships and what we care about have tested and been responded to in proportion to how much personal power and authority we believe we hold. The end result of that is the sum of what we are ignoring or denying, and the hidden anger that may be driving our behaviors–and it’s these intersections and combinations that we see the physical result of today.

We may all be tempted to vow to diet, exercise, reform our habits, ‘clean up’ in some way–and that would be positive, though we don’t want to miss the real message: that our actions and choices are the building blocks in a more concrete way than we may imagine. We have more control, and more ‘say’, than we think we do–be ready to wield it.

For those born with the Sun at 22 Gemini. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). Dear Gemini, big change is coming, and if you don’t modify yourself and your approach when you first see that a shift is occurring, then choice and control will be taken out of your hands. Whew! Do I have your attention? Things are getting a wee bit drastic because you’ve been plowing ahead, thinking you can ignore pretty much everything in pursuit of your goals–and now what’s been neglected is catching up with you, and maybe even overtaking you. By that I mean a certain amount of control is inevitably lost by you, through the very fact that you have let some structures, supports, and ‘security blankets’ crumble. In the end this may be a good thing, but will put you through some stressful times in the coming solar year, through to your next birthday. What’s working for you? An immense sense of determination, and the ability to see the value of spontaneity and accident–and it’s this latter that can turn your year into a highly rewarding time. Good luck!

Unlikely you’ll find a baby, but you will find something important to you today. ‘The Finding of Moses’ By Giovanni Francesco Romanelli c1656 {{PD}}

Today we can draw power from what’s hidden in the past, especially from the nuances of relationships, the vagaries or just-now-understood factors within our finances, and/ or things avoided or denied altogether that we are reminded of. The value is in seeing how we could’ve modified our expression so that what we did, or our response, would’ve been a better fit to who we are at a Soul level than what we did choose to express. This review helps us skirt, in our current situation, something that might’ve been disastrous in relationship interaction or in financial decision-making if we had followed through on our initial impulse. Accessing this memory and learning from it ultimately allows us to be more unique, more ourselves, than we would without contemplation of that insight hidden in the past.

Today’s word image is a much older woman who encounters hopscotch squares in chalk on the sidewalk, and stops to hop through to the end. This may say we’re never too old to play–or is it a statement on human nature, that we are ‘game players’, or just ‘players’, to the end? Maybe it’s about recognizing the eternal spirit in all of us, that willingness to encounter the world that’s so prominent when we’re young. In any case, it’s a reminder to us that we should respond in the way that feels right to us to what we encounter in our environment, even (or maybe especially) if social convention or judgmental others might frown on our activity, tell us we’re ‘too old’, or in some other way judge us to be inadequate.

Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). Dear Gemini, this coming solar year, through to your next birthday, what you can count on is change, more change, and a little change, and much of it coming in surprising ways, through accident, revelation, group decisions, or through your own inner stance of rebellion or need to express as a singular, original individual. It’s a tumultuous time, no doubt, but you have excellent emotional perceptions and intuitions during this period and these facilitate ambition and desire fulfillment in a significant way–so listen to what your feelings tell you, and trust them, and as well, trust yourself–you can handle what comes at you, and may gain significant power because of it. Good luck!
