Moon enters Libra 3:31 PM PDT. This forms a Finger of God with a base of Jupiter sextile Neptune, as well as a trine to Venus. This suggests that if we are working the social arena and/ or the expansion plans well in co-operation with either the creative flow and/ or our most characteristic Neptunian energies (see the natal chart for details on this) we will open the intuition wide and strong, especially as it applies to the Arts, to aesthetics, and to relationship (Libra). Can earn, open to reward, embrace love, or, in a worst case scenario, become jealous of what you think others have. Just remember, you don’t know what it’s like to be them :)

8 AM PDT the Libra Moon perfects by degree an opposition to the Mercury/ Venus conjunction, which is at 29 of Aries. Stress! The feeling may be that even loving communications carry a hidden bludgeon, and emotional tension centered in relationships or aesthetics (Libra) is rife. Try to understand that we have our relationship antennae out (due to the Libra Moon), seeking sensation, contact, and information, and the fact that we start this seeking in an anxious state explains 99% of why we’re upset. The only true tension in the air will come in the form of ‘I vs. We,’ as some want to explore their own beautiful (and very willful, single-minded, and Self-oriented) ideas, while others will be overly focused on experiencing life as a two-headed monster called ‘Our Relationship.’ Nobody’s a bad guy here; each side could stand to back off that insistent way of approaching things and let the partner (or other) in (or out, if you fall on the Libra-symbiotic side!)

Void begins at 9:03 AM Pacific, with the Moon entering Scorpio at 9:32 AM PDT. Scorpio, he of the stingy stinger and translucent, poison-y tipped shell-y-ness and weird propensity for hiding in a dark place pops out in the moonlight and gets right up in our faces, and the worst part is, if we aren’t of like Scorpio mind, mysterious and secretive and on-the-lookout for a chance for change (or revenge) then we will feel this mightily; Scorpio Moon will see it as a game, and the rest of us will see it as torture. The Moon starts off her transit of Scorpio with a trine to Neptune–and those who can’t (or won’t) play the game will find themselves frustrated, confused, deluded, or deceived–and probably pretty angry about it, as Scorp Moon says, ‘Lash out!’ the moment we become upset.

3 AM of the 14th the Moon conjuncts Saturn, and we either feel deeply connected to our reality, experiencing ourselves as a seamless a part of it, or we look around and feel unreasonably repressed and/or restricted. Our reaction will be a telling sign of how well we have disciplined, directed, and made relevant our own energies and efforts–good luck!

4:30 AM PDT the Moon conjuncts h.Zeus, offering an emotional window into the true ambitions and desire picture. This is worth our attention, as we may at times cloud our own vision of what we want with considerations of other than our true goals–this lets us see them without adornment.

7:30 AM PDT the Moon trines the exact Vesta/ Pallas conjunction; the intuition can play a lively part in assessing our ideal situation, and in attuning us to creating this. If we follow emotional prompts, we’ll be way ahead of the game :)

By 2:30 AM PDT the Moon quincunxes the Mercury/ Venus conjunction, which is very close at this point. This contact offers an emotional check-up on the way in which the matters of the (typically) four Houses of the natal chart (those ruled by Mercury and Venus) are affected; some combination of the subjects of these Houses comes forward and commands our attention. This can be a huge distraction, as we aren’t likely to immediately recognize this as a message concerning what we really care about, and how we should go about protecting it (Aries placement)–but that’s what it is.

Void begins 4:04 AM PDT, with the Moon entering Libra at 8:57 AM PDT. This right away casts the Moon as the apex of a Finger of God with base of Neptune in Pisces and Mars in Taurus. This last through 12:30 PM Pacific or so, and suggests that successfully utilizing our creative energy is the key to emotional equilibrium–balance within ourselves and balance in partnership or other interaction is achievable only if we are able to actively channel the creative and imaginative urge effectively. If we don’t, we’re liable to be very frustrated, and end up lashing out, swinging between extremes, or behaving in either a totally ‘dead to emotion’ manner, or as manic and out-of-control, pursuing delusions.

Just after 8 PM PDT the Moon squares Pluto; these are in Cardinal signs, and we’d better remember that, as the two energies conflict over exactly how much the emotional landscape must be dug up. We can be excessively tempted to destroy relationships or artistic creations at this point–hold back, don’t indulge–things ruined now are unlikely to be repairable.

Full Moon at 7:43 PM of the 17th, Pacific time, at 27 Libra 44. Using our usual, strict 2 degree orb we have only a single aspect, a quincunx of the Libra Full Moon to Libra ruler Venus in Pisces. Venus is exalted in Pisces, suggesting that perfect Love is synonymous with a state of Oneness, with the Universal outlook. This implies that wherever the Full Moon falls for you, the matters of this House must be examined with an eye to adjusting (the quincunx) the attitudes, relationships, and approaches so that they better express your idea of ‘perfect love.’ This is well-shown by the Sabian symbol for the Full Moon placement ‘A Man Becoming Aware of Spiritual Forces Surrounding and Assisting Him’ By Man, of course, we mean each human individual, and by spiritual forces, we mean Love, for what else is this but an essence that permeates all, surrounding and ‘assisting,’ if only by putting each on a wavelength attuned to the very force that drives the Universe?

The Sun and Uranus: Together Again

Even though it happens every year, this time the transiting Sun and Uranus meet up at the Aries Point–and that promises an extra little something to the conjunction. Most likely is that the Sun will serve to shine a light on the Uranian developments in your life is a very personal way. The Aries Point is the spot where the unseen becomes the seen, and that implies that what comes forward will manifest from within all that you have been attracting, arranging, planning (in a Universal, spirit-directed sense). It can be quite the period of discovery, especially with Uranus involved–but no matter what appears in your life, you need to see that it’s a previously hidden part of you–so don’t waste time and energy arguing that it has nothing to do with you–instead study what occurs, appears, or falls into your lap as if it’s a gift of knowledge–because it is.

And the Lunar influence for the day includes:

By the time the Moon trines Neptune in the 29th degree of their respective signs, Ceres, companion to Neptune at 29 degrees previously, has moved on to 00 Pisces. Say what? This might play out as feeling like you get to the scene after someone responsible (Ceres, in her role as an authority) has already fled, leaving a crisis of imagination, creativity, spirituality, or collectivity (as in, someone shouting, ‘We’re all in this together!’ then cutting out). Though the rightful onus is on the already-disappeared Ceres figure, the reality is that whoever’s left must take on the task of righting whatever went off the tracks–and in this case, let intuition and ideals guide you (but don’t assume you must be on the clean-up crew–that’s an individual decision that must be keyed to that intuition and those ideals).

Beautiful pics of last night’s Moon

In the 4 PM Hour Pacific the Sun enters Aries and snuggles up to Uranus at 00. Illumination of some facet of Uranus at the Aries Point is offered, as is the spark that supplies innovation, a radical idea, genuine originality, or that puts one in the avant garde. What we see over the coming 24 hours (the time the Sun stays in 00 degrees) will have this unique spark hidden somewhere inside–it’s up to us to recognize it and use it to our best advantage.

By 9 PM PDT it’s a one-two punch as the Moon forms the apex to a Finger of God with base of Sedna and Mars. In this case, someone may try to persuade us that the aggression we don’t see won’t hurt us–oh no no no. There will be an emotional effect, specifically to relationships–so be as sensitive as possible to it.

What follows by 11:30 PM is a trine to Venus–so, despite the sucker-punch we may suffer, the result is absolutely excellent: in some form we receive a pay-off, reward, pleasant relationship or earning experience, obtain something valuable, or in some way determine a highly positive and profitable course from this happening.

I feel like there might be a ‘dual level’ energy flow going on today: one keyed to Juptier-Pluto, and one to the Lunar picture, which I think might be, if not more subtle, certainly more irritating, slipping beneath conscious thought and troubling us like a burr under your clothing–every once in a while we’ll move just right and ow! it will sting, hurt, scratch, and we will dig furiously to find it–and the next moment it will seem not to be there at all! When the Moon reaches conjunction to Saturn (around 3 AM PST) we will see the consequences of our behavior (attitudes with origins in the previous twelve hours)–or perhaps be stopped by an outside force from indulging in it.

By 9 AM Pacific the Moon squares Venus–and we take ‘it’ out on relationships, or, if we’re really on a Self-destructive tear, finances. Please please please ignore that lashing-out impulse–even and especially if it disguises itself as ‘getting something done’ There’s also at this point a trine from Moon to Ceres, suggesting that abuse of authority may be very easy to come by. Note too that Merc is at 29 degrees–in a worst case scenario our mouth may runneth over.

The Moon, of course, immediately after entering the new sign, quincunxes Sun and Chiron from her perch in Libra–the emotional impetus is to be quarrelsome! Why? Libra tells us we must smile pretty and partner–and the Sun and Chiron are busy showing us how to heal, especially in a spiritual sense, so that the social and the prettified seem unimportant. Try to strike a balance, but don’t betray the need to nurture the Self in whatever way is appropriate for you.

A word about Mars/ Neptune, which are already perfect by degree: they are sesquiquadrate Saturn and h.Zeus, and this may, for a few, make for action and choices to restrict or make real ambition and desire-related goals–but the problem is, these individuals will either not recognize the likely consequences of their impulses, or that they are operating under illusions concerning what it is they think they want. If you spot this person, try and stay clear–they will definitely wreak havoc for the rest of us! And they’ll come out the other side a bit worse for the wear.
