Spontaneity, originality, and the unexpected drive actions–and yet these moves will be in conflict with our instinctual nature, perhaps inspired by some restless material that resides in our ‘blind spot’. Today it may feel as if we are hurtling toward our own private Sun, traveling toward our destiny at peak speed, problems and solutions laid out before us, and left for us to choose. It’s contradictory, I know, to say we seem to be speeding in a destined direction and that we also enjoy very clear choice, but there’s no actual conflict there–we are on a course that our actions and previous choices have set, but we are still able to alter that course with choices or actions in the present. Really, it’s the best of both worlds, with the assurance that if we change nothing, we will end up exactly as we are headed now, and that if we do make changes, we will definitely alter that course.

So, get a good look at where you’re headed, and what you can do about it, and then act, but act with caution. Though we’re truly inspired today, in terms of making good choices, we are also susceptible to overthinking and so misleading ourselves, or to acting/ choosing out of hurt or rage. Don’t worry, though, as a willingness to be fully conscious helps us avoid Self-sabotage or acting out of our worst impulses and damage.

Will the mind, informed by the instincts, succeed with values reform, perhaps pulling down some false gods or exposing the Truth behind something we’ve been seeing as sacred? Or will it be that sheer power is put behind commitments and what we honor, changing both the pay off and the rules of the game? Either way, powerful change comes to the physical via modifications to the spiritual and intangible. The influence seeps in, whether we are aware of it or not. Act and choose, or be swept along with the currents.

Good day for . . . sleeping in. How many of you read the headline that way? If you did, you may be seeking shelter, calm, or rest. Here’s your permission to retreat. The opportunities offered today will only work out if the mind is in sync with the instincts.
