‘Two Young Girls With a Butterfly’ By Harold Harvey 1929 {{PD}}

We have one modest perfection today, as Venus semi-squares Sedna. I’m imagining it as a gentle nudge, a sweet something that causes just the slightest internal discord as instincts and what we ‘know but don’t know’ stirs. The question is, is that a course correction, a warning, or an invitation into a new experiential world (Sedna in Taurus)? Your response will likely fall along the lines of what you care about, or what you are responsible to care for (Venus in Cancer); with any luck you glean new insights, or new emotional depth, in relationships or investments (especially of time, energy, caring).

The table’s all set for a Happy Birthday. ‘Open Door on a Garden’ By Konstantin Somov 1934 {{PD}}

For those born with the Sun at 21 Cancer. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). What an exciting time you may have this solar year, through to your next birthday, Cancer! You know, of course, that excitement comes in many forms, from positively transformative and transporting to the whole thing burning down to ashes. It’s up to you to create the changes you want to see in your support systems, to the rules you follow, to what may be holding you back or holding you up, and you’re required to make these choices, because if you don’t, the world is going to make them for you–and that may not always be desirable. Taking the initiative, and so shaping the direction energies take, is key. Use that flow to go after what you want–or to at least set up circumstances so that they enhance your chances at ambition fulfillment in future. Good luck!

Today’s word image is: a dream, where a man sees himself choking another person with a car’s fan belt. Are your enthusiasms (what you’re a ‘fan’ of) curtailing the freedom or energy or enjoyment of someone else? Or is someone else keeping you from ‘breathing free’ with their incursions on your time, energy, or attention?
