The 1st is a Good Day To . . . honor what you find sacred, if you want to have no regrets in life. Sure, that’s a sound, overall strategy, but today is one of those days where, if you fail to do this, you could miss out, and forever after think, ‘if only’. Honoring what has meaning to you pays off in a number of ways, not least of which is a clear future path and improvements in health (this latter not to be sneezed at, since Jupiter quincunxes Hygeia, asking us to listen to the facts and adjust our health practices accordingly–and another reading of this aspect might suggest that interaction with the public requires adjustment, in order to safeguard health–so wear your mask). Do what’s important to you–you may get some guff from the social sphere along the way, but the reality is, they don’t get a say in what you should be devoted to, do they?

Don’t let someone else prompt a bad decision. ‘The Flirtation’ By Leo Gestel c1910 {{PD}}

The 31st is a Good Day To . . . realize that while relationships or issues around finances claim our conscious attention, what’s really going on is that everyone, especially those who hold at least some power over others, are ‘feeling’ around to see how much more power they can finagle, or they’re trying to figure out how to wiggle out from under someone else’s thumb, or relationships or money-needs are somehow pushing or prompting us to do what’s not very smart! Our folly may come in the form of peer pressure, but it’s rooted in not liking something about ourselves–otherwise we’d never go along with it. Here’s a virtual hug, now don’t let them get to you.

‘The Tow Path’ By William L. Lathrop {{PD}}

The 30th is a Good Day To . . . be very clear on what you care about, value, treasure, before you make changes, because alterations made now will most likely stick, and be difficult if not impossible to undo. We may exaggerate the importance of our own beliefs or duties, when seeing ourselves as part of the whole is much more beneficial (as well as more accurate). Action, though, comes naturally, in spite of the way what we choose to do may challenge our beliefs or our standing within the social order, so be extra-vigilant as to what you’re building for yourself and others within the Collective. Health improves or attending to it is done and so benefits the individual, OR we indulge, especially in those things we see as ‘treats’ (I’m talking dietary and behavioral indulgences), and suffer the consequences.

Be kind to your inner child, as you help her heal. ‘(Detail of) The Doctor’ By Luke Fildes 1891 {{PD}}

The 29th is a Good Day To . . . ask yourself, ‘Why do love, money, clear communication, and personal power all seem so hard to come by today?’ The answers are found in a careful examination of the accounts (who do you feel owes you? whom do you owe?) made under this Virgo Moon, and in the myriad details that may chafe even though the larger agreement or interaction is just fine. We’re sensitive now in ways and areas that are quite typical for us–and so those wounded parts are too likely to be accepted as just what is, rather than as a spot that needs tending and that is perfectly capable of being healed, with in most instances minimal effort. Make life easier by using the Lunar energy to gain at least a somewhat objective view on your hurt, and then, do as you would counsel a friend to do, if she came to you with the same wound.

The 28th is a Good Day To . . . act on what you know to be wise, smart, and/ or practical. Putting skills into action is required, with their application adjusted according to what you care about, a ‘first do no harm’ position. Thoughts may literally manifest as things, today, quite directly, so be aware of intentions, as those are our building blocks of reality.

The 27th is a Good Day To . . . reconcile what we believe and are dedicated to with the facts and the actual (rather than the imagined) reality picture. It’s time to face what is, but only so that we know why we’re doing what we’re doing, and know where we stand. This is a vital, periodic re-assessment that should (but often doesn’t) exist as an ongoing process. We only benefit by knowing what’s going on, and we benefit the most when our beliefs and what we’re committed to apply realistically to the current scene and the current zeitgeist. Look to the future you want to create, as well as to the one that’s presented in the messages and information you receive, and adjust accordingly.

The 26th is a Good Day To . . . question the way we’re being questioned! It seems both circumstances and others are quizzing us (and this may be verbal or non-verbal, delivered in looks, actions, circumstances, conditions, or gestures, as well as words) about our health practices, our rights, our most original or unique expressions, our choices and what we do based on our highest values, our autonomy, and what we are and are not willing to communicate–so, essentially, giving us the once-over as if Self-determination and a modicum of privacy aren’t something each individual automatically deserves in this life. How to tell if someone else is overstepping? If our choice genuinely impacts them, then we need to consider what they’re telling us; if there’s no impact other than a perceptual one, then their criticisms become their problem, not yours. Take care today–there are little things like Mars semi-sextile Chiron, Mercury quincunx Zeus, and the Nodes just entered the Sagittarius-Gemini axis at 29 tense degrees that are making everyone unnecessarily prickly, giving a sort of sense that ‘assault is in the air’–and with the Moon in Cancer we could at times feel like unprotected amoebas, with thin cell walls that are ultra-permeable and through which we feel everything! Do your best not to overreact–for at least a few of us, this could even be life-or-death important, so mingle, commune, and communicate with care, my friends.

A Good Day To . . . 25 May 2020 Attuned

The 25th is a Good Day To . . . make commitments, vows, agreements, pacts, but only if your mind isn’t clouded by ambition or desire. Too, we are naturally attuned to our highest values and ideals, at this point, and so may assume the other party is interpreting things in a similar light–but it’s possible they’re not, and we’re reading too much that promises integrity into the situation. Avoiding missteps requires sticking to our standards while remaining clear-eyed about the motives and wants of others. Knowing we could succumb to sleight-of-hand may be enough to keep us awake and aware.

A Good Day To . . . 24 May 2020 Sudden Power Moves

‘Fighting Forms’ By Franz Marc 1914 {{PD}}

The 24th is a Good Day To . . . remain aware of the dazzling and very sudden power moves we may both observe and actually encounter and so have to deal with directly. We’re primed to flex our own muscles, to make our own choices, to name our own fate, but there are a few things we’ll need to take into account in an atmosphere where everyone feels that way: 1) we’ll just naturally put all our personal authority behind having our way and expressing our Will, but we shouldn’t underestimate the potential impact of the accident, the unusual, or the serendipitous. 2) thinking itself runs along healthy lines, and that predisposes us to use good judgement. 3) we can gain if we can go with the flow, rather than being distracted by some very prominent attempts to convince us ‘it’ can’t be done, or that there aren’t any opportunities for us there. 4) flexibility in thought is a good thing, while pessimism, gullibility, and anger-as-fuel are not.

A Good Day To . . . 23 May 2020 Act Big

Tags

‘Twittering Birds’ By Paul Klee 1922 {{PD}}

The 23rd is a Good Day To . . . act with big gestures, with enormous confidence, making sweeping statements about who you are, but all aligned with the facts of the matter, and done with an eye to anticipating what you have that’s new to offer, and what might sneak up on you and throw a monkey wrench into the works. Co-ordination, especially among your thoughts, the philosophies and beliefs that are the underpinnings of your choices, and the actions you take, is what makes for success today. Don’t exaggerate your actual ‘muscle power’, what you can and can’t handle–overdoing will only undermine what you hope to achieve–and examine the sudden idea or spontaneous thought against what you know to be true–that’s the only way to know if it’s worth pursuing.
