How are we failing to support our own dream? That may be the (harsh) question we put to ourselves today, or maybe it’s pointed out by circumstances, but either way, we become aware of some way in which we aren’t serving those idealized goals put forward, consciously or not, by the Soul. This is not something to beat yourself up about; it’s merely a chance to re-align and fine tune, to re-dedicate energy that may have been useful elsewhere, temporarily. In this case, our actions and choices, rather than circumstances imposed externally, are the core reason we’ve strayed, and the central means of getting back to where we want to be–so that means it’s entirely in our own hands. Our attention can be focused through the material, and through those causes and commitments we embrace. Serving these, by honoring them, re-dedicating ourselves to them, or simply by giving our full awareness to the reality of things, will bring us back to our intended path. Too, take care that you aren’t misled today–we’re susceptible to the illusion, to the sleight of hand, to the gossamer mirage spun before us by the ill-informed, or by those with ill-intentions. Does your sense of personal authority include seeing yourself as an authority for others? Or do you see yourself as singular, Self-responsible but not in the market to tell others what to do? We’re naturally inclined at the moment to think in terms that are most healthy for who we are at core, and that means that if our personal position of authority is too narrow (only encompassing ourselves) or too broad (seeing ourselves as having inappropriate dominion over others) we will feel uncomfortable in that position–and that may prompt changes or confrontations in the power arena.

We just assume more of something desirable will help us, but today we have to face the question of what having more really means–and no matter what we’re wanting, no matter what we’re talking about, there are two potent and inescapable results: one, that the bounty that comes at us, whatever form it takes, will force us to adjust our concepts of our own empowerment, status, and reach, and two, having more will require changes to our belief system. Period. We just won’t come out of today without significant alterations to the way we see the world, and the way we see ourselves in it.

Our attention is on healing difficult material or real-world circumstances, but we are hobbled or otherwise distracted by what we’ve ignored, denied, or because of our unacknowledged anger. The problem is that our attention is all on what’s distorted or not working in the reality picture, and that brings up both questions of our ability to affect it, and those areas where we have buried material in the hope of never having to deal with it. This could translate as high stress levels and a sense that there’s nothing we can do to positively alter what surrounds us–and if that’s how you feel, your best course is to pull back, put on the brakes, and relax. Concentrate on what refreshes, nourishes, replenishes, and then do those things for yourself. Let agendas and to-do lists wait, and don’t be sucked in to problems that seem like emergencies–if it’s a genuine emergency, it will be obvious–everything else can be ignored, for now. Restore the balance.

It seems like there’s lots of negativity in the air, as if everyone and everything is focused on what isn’t working, what’s not right, and they are–but it’s an agenda that has a specific goal: to prepare us for the future. If we realize there are reasons and means for others to destroy our power, for our standards and commitments to be questioned, and to re-examine our goals and desires, then we’ll understand how important it is not to agree with what comes at us, but to stay tuned in and use logic, reasoning, and powers of observation to assess what needs to change, especially what or whom we should invest our time and energy in.
