Just before 5 AM PDT the Taurus Moon quincunxes Juno and sextiles Chiron. The emotions must adjust to the empowerment picture–we really have no choice. We do have a choice concerning our response, though, and we may feel hurt, believing we’ve been injured, or we may see it as a chance to heal something in our attitude concerning the power and position we have. We know which choice is the better one, don’t we?

9 AM Pacific the Moon completes the trine to Pluto, bringing any fierce feelings to a head. Duck.

Void begins at 10:19 AM PDT; the Moon enters Taurus at 2:44 PM PDT. First aspect is 5 PM PDT, a sextile to Neptune, making for the fanciful, the playful, and the strongly intuitive. 3 AM PDT the Aries Moon conjuncts Vesta, and nestles roughly at the midpoint of Jupiter/ Pallas. The emotions become sacred, and we may want to let everyone know, and that our feelings are uncommonly wise, too. Strangely, this spurs the kind of adolescent philosophizing that is at core supremely naive in its belief that the speaker has found the source of all wisdom and sanctity, and it is within ;)   Used maturely, we can apply our feeling to a worthy social cause, with kind aid offered, consisting of a reverence that amounts to prayer.

It may feel like we’re faced with a lot of new things today, even if that’s not technically so–take it easy. {{PD-Art}}

New Moon in Aries arrives at 7:36 AM PDT at 2 Aries 22. With this NM we may be, in modern lingo, branding ourselves, with the launch party for that brand coming at or near the Superior Conjunction of the Sun and Mercury (27 May). It’s a time to think about ‘I am’, in the sense of who do you want to be?

2:30 PM PDT the Moon quincunxes Mars and semi-sextiles Chiron. The urge to get movin’ is all tangled up in old resentment and hurt, and perhaps a fear that our skills won’t be up to the challenge. It’s a retro Mars, we’re moving in the light of a fresh New Moon–just relax, nothing need be done yet. Anywhere.

4:30 PM PDT the Moon trines the Juno/ North Node conjunction, giving us a huge boost of personal authority, energy, and purpose. Go!

6:30 AM PDT Luna (in Pisces) squares the Nodal axis, and Juno, which is conjunct the North Node, as well as opposes Mars. We may find ourselves ‘inspecting’ our Path, and pushing (with the emotions) strongly toward ‘moving on’ or the future; this impulse in some way contradicts what we’re doing now. The key is to examine our methodologies and cut ourselves some slack–there are reasons we are moving slowly, even clumsily, toward our goals at this time. No need to hurry. This gives us a chance to do a check-up that also allows us to forgive (Pisces) the humanness of that most important person, ourselves.

Void begins at 4:40 PM PDT; the Moon enters Pisces at 5:05 PM Pacific time. First aspect is a conjunction to Neptune, at 7 PM-ish PDT. That unites the intuitive and feeling faculties with the creative essence–not our personal one, but the one we share with the Collective. For Friday, the 16th:

3 PM PDT the Capricorn Moon squares Ceres; could indicate a conflict of female v. female, or very specifically, two mothers (or two spirits who have generated something unique and personal to themselves, and find themselves at odds). Issues of power, domain, and authority are parsed.

For Saturday, the 17th:

11:30 PM PDT the Aquarian Moon trines the South Node and creates a Finger of God with apex Mars and base of Moon/ Vesta. The past inspires us, perhaps even mesmerizes us, and may fuel the dedication of the emotional nature to our Highest Ideals, home, and/ or mate, which leads to successful (albeit muted, with the retro of Mars) action. This may not start out so great, in a nostalgic haze, but could end up making for a lovely interlude of communion and tenderness, where we are able to appreciate what gives us our emotional security in a rare and affecting way.

And for Sunday, the 18th:

11 AM PDT the Moon trines Zeus and squares Venus, suggesting that we’ll be given a chance to see just where fulfilling ambitions and wants will cost us. Or, dissonance in relationships or finances stirs us to get out there and work to make ambitions a reality. Or, following our desire nature (read ‘lust’) will put us into relationship conflict. Your choice.

Just before 2 PM Pacific the Capricorn Moon semi-sextiles Juno and sextiles Chiron while squaring Mercury; we are made to feel we must take a step toward empowerment, but fear it may be easy to hurt ourselves and/or others. We don’t like these thoughts, but they are compulsory; what we need to know is that this is actually a review of old material, and perhaps old messages and old hurts. Though they may apply in the now (and be couched in current forms), they are echoes–so simply review without feeling compelled to do anything.

5:30 PM PST the Moon squares Vesta and quincunxes the South Node. We find reasons to repudiate our own Highest Values, or our home or intimate partner, and they are generally old saws we’ve used in the past. What are we thinking?! Thanks to Merc retro and current Moon ruler Saturn also on the backward burn, we’re not. Remember that question we’re asking for Merc retro,’What am I doing?’ Please take a short walk every time you’re tempted to throw your standards or a loved one under the bus.

5 PM Pacific the Sagittarius Moon squares the Sun/ Earth axis, putting us at emotional odds with our current identity and/ or direction. This is a periodic check-up that may or may not reveal true discrepancies in our stated v. actual life direction. Response is entirely up to us; smart money is on those who take these Lunar squares to the axis as early warning signs that can help prevent larger upsets.

11:30 PM PDT the Moon sextiles Saturn. We get an excellent emotional read on what we can rely on, on what’s solid and constructive (and by contrast, what’s not). A good influence under which to sort and eliminate less constructive influences.

9 AM PDT the Sagittarius Moon conjuncts Juno, squares Chiron, and trines Mercury. Oh, we are ready to tell it like it is–the question is, are we ‘right’, and is our audience ready to hear it? If we are accessing our Chirotic-flavored skills in the telling then yes, we are right, and we are acting from a place of true empowerment (which means we will do no harm); but if our talk springs from hurt, or is wrapped in the authority conveyed by our status or role, then no, we should keep it to ourselves–and in either case, the audience is on its own, though it would be good to consider whether those hearing the message will be in any way hurt by it–in which case they are not ready, and we should not take on the role of messenger.

5 PM PDT the Moon squares Pallas, putting us emotionally in conflict with something we know to be smart. What’s our resistance based on? Either believing we know better, or fear of social ridicule. Choose neither of those; do the smart thing, and live with the discomfort.
