6 AM PDT of the 30th sees the Moon trine Uranus and quincunx Chiron. It’s like we’ll get a kick in the pants–and whether it hurts or not is up to how we receive it! We can either let it hit us right in the primal wound (which will make us howl!) or we can let it hit us and use the momentum to propel ourselves forward and up–which won’t hurt at all–in fact it should revv up our unique skills. It’s a great influence, if we’re willing to go with it! Now, this is the start of a Finger of God, apex Moon, involving Chiron and Pluto as the base. Separate from other effects, the Finger offers, very simply, healing with a willingness to change, with resultant emotional and intuitive benefits. It’s no more complicated than that.

New Moon is at 11:39 AM Pacific at 7 Leo 15. The Leo New Moon reads as releasing subtle but powerful energies; it opposes Pallas (and Earth, of course), squares Jupiter, and quincunxes Pluto. There are other things close but outside the strict 2 degree orb–so we leave them alone.

The aspects suggest changes (possibly intense, traumatic, inevitable, sweeping, or arising from the destructive or the negative) challenge us to prove what we believe to be wise really is. It’s a giant reality check of a very personal nature; the upsets will require us to truly show who we are–and what’s more, there will be a public element to this. It’s very possible we will feel under a microscope at this time. We may be observed by the social circle, we may be tested by our students, readers, audience, our teachers, or those within our religious hierarchy, or we may be challenged to broadcast or publish our knowledge or wisdom and then to defend it. This may be a tempering of the Soul and the Soul’s Purpose–but will in many ways be more gentle than we might anticipate, and we should come out the other side (for this NM may just be the beginning of a long-term effect, rather than just a singular happening) much more sure of who we are and what we’re here to do (and consequently what we are also NOT here to do, courtesy of Pluto, who will help us eliminate and start again.)

Just after noon of the 31st, the Moon trines the North Node–and at about the same time the Moon also forms a loose Fist of God with a Moon/ Sedna square apex Pluto. The entire picture is one of unanticipatable material events (Sedna in Taurus) that have emotional results–and, contrary to the usual, we do not need to work out the square before Pluto is accessed–this time, it just happens. A Plutonian event can be anything that involves an exercise of power–just keep that in mind. It’s not necessarily a trauma, destructive act, or experience of rage–it could as easily be a transformative event that feels like a major blessing–so be ready for anything.

9:30 AM Pacific of the 29th the Moon creates a Finger of God by sextile to Sedna with apex of North Node. There are all kinds of theories that say we have no business considering the transiting NN in configurations, but I beg to differ, as what I’ve observed time and again is that energy ‘points’ can be very telling–and I think this is one of those times. This may show as a sense of being emotionally lost–and if we can embrace that, rather than becoming panicked or demanding answers, we will be shown ‘the way’ (NN). Sounds like a Universal moment of enlightenment :)

Void begins at 11:21 AM PDT as the Moon pulls away from sextile to Sedna. The Moon enters Leo at 11:16 PM PDT; that leaves us with a massive Void period, when just about anything may come forward. The only clue we have is that the Moon is Void in Cancer, suggesting that whatever happens, it arises from feeling and intuitive response.

Mercury’s in 00 Virgo just before 11 AM PDT, and a fresh attitude ensues–though we must be vigilant as criticism or focus on details flows a little too easily :) This also means that Venus (Leo) is sextile Juno (Libra), with Merc (Virgo) at the midpoint, Neptune (Pisces) opposed Mercury, and Ceres (Aries) opposed Juno, and they’re all at 00! A Finger of God is formed by Venus/ Juno with apex Neptune, and this suggests that empowerment through the realization of beauty (and this may be through relationships, works of Art, or finances) result in a burst of creative energy. This can be easily communicated (Merc) and though empowerment options are available, we may have to work (or even fight!) it out, in order to get the formula of rights and responsibilities fairly distributed.

4 PM PDT the Moon sextiles Mercury (with Venus at the midpoint) and squares Juno. The picture becomes one of tense communications over relationships or finances, with the goal of empowering ourselves. Tip-toe at this time; we (and everyone else on the planet!) could be drastically over-sensitive, hair-trigger crabby, and a wee bit Self-destructive, with so much tension in the Gemini Lunar Air.

The Moon/ Juno aspect never perfects (which might promise not a single empowerment urge fulfilled); Juno slips out of her 29 degree 59 minute position into Libra–you can almost hear her sigh with relief (or at least, with the feeling that she might have some fun and get a little support from a partner), can’t you? Juno changes sign at 4:33 PM PDT, meaning that the Moon goes from having a potential aspect with the Queen of Olympus to having only a conversation with Mercury as they bounce Venus between them (and they’re tense and too rough with her, really).

Void begins at 5:37 PM PDT, with the Moon entering Cancer at 6:11 PM PDT.

The Sun moves in and forms a loose Mystic Rectangle with an out-of-sign sextile to Juno, trine Earth (and possibly Pallas, if you’re feeling generous), sextile Ceres (and Uranus, again, if we say so!) This draws a window for smart, positive, and unique empowerment options tailored to the individual and the individual’s material needs. Do focus on what circumstances, equipment, and possessions you need to truly empower yourself (and by empower yourself, I mean whatever you need to effectively assert yourself and make your unique, productive contribution). What’s both appropriate and true to who you are can be manifested at this time.

7:30 AM PDT the Moon trines Juno where she sits in the 29th degree of Virgo. I must say, Juno’s passage through Virgo has inclined her to be a tad touchy, a bit too critical, and a little demanding as she has expected an accounting from all around her–and yet we must thank her, for drawing our attention to the need for knowing where we stand, and of just what our assets and options really consist. At this time it’s a crisis situation: a last audit is being made, and with the Moon’s contact we will definitely have an emotional reaction to it. Don’t panic; just take notes :)

8 AM PDT of the 23rd the Moon trines Pluto; power is in harmony with the emotions and intuition, and these feelings can guide us easily toward excellent, lasting (Capricorn) manifestations of our own strength and effectiveness. If you have a natal placement at 5 Virgo (and that could apply to many of you, particularly those now receiving a Pluto trine to natal Pluto) this will energize the natal point with a massive power boost, unerringly guided by the feeling nature. For those with a 5 Virgo placement, this is practically a mandate to utilize the natal energy to its utmost. If the placement happens to be Pluto, look to both Pluto’s natal aspects and matters of the House where he’s placed and the House he rules to see where and with what addition influences the power matrix is likely to be brought forward–and I say “be brought forward” as you will be obligated to take this power in hand yourself–denial of your own power can bring it toward you, exercised by others, with unpleasant results. If the placement at 3-7 Virgo is not Pluto, use the same formula (natal aspects, House location, House the body rules) in searching out the meaning and areas of activity, with particular attention to any difficulties or hang-ups recently linked to expression of this energy–they can be transformed at this point, with excellent results.

Just before 6 PM PDT of the 24th the Moon quincunxes the North Node and effectively forms a Finger of God with Venus at 25 Cancer and the South Node roughly at the Moon/ Venus midpoint. This lasts through about 12:30 AM PDT of the 25th, with the Moon’s conjunction to Sedna and Mars’ inclusion in the midpoint picture (with his position not quite one degree past conjunction with the South Node) along the way. This tells a story of feelings, instincts, and the way they affect relationships, values, and/ or the financial picture mattering a great deal in formation of the Path; and yet we are unable to comprehend exactly how what we do shapes where we’re headed, and what’s more, we’re acting based too much on the past. A heady, important, and confusing picture that kicks off the week for our European friends with a bang and may give North and South America some portion of a sleepless night. Oy.

8 PM PDT brings the Moon square the Sun–fundamental differences among allies may come to light–though the Sun pulls ahead before the aspect perfects, and moves into Leo (9:12 PM Pacific), which, I suppose, begins the Void–but a backward one, with the pursued object outpacing the pursuer! Hmm, I wonder if that says anything about the current situation–because I think it does. Look for sudden reversals of situations that we assume to be a particular way, and especially look for a significant ‘drawing away’ of energy in a capacity that previously appeared set.

The Lunar orb enters Taurus, 9:58 PM PDT, and immediately aspects our friends: the Sun/ Earth axis by T, Neptune by sextile, and Ceres by semi-sextile–which latter two, technically, put Ceres at the midpoint of Neptune and the Moon. The T, as usual, asks us to examine the life direction; these are typically moments of reflection that help to keep our emotional outlook in line with our life efforts and the material situation we’re creating. The midpoint picture suggests that the place where our ideals, imagination, creativity, and fantasy meet our emotional and intuitive abilities is the place where we find our authority, connection to nature, and our ‘power role’–this can be a point where we see our way clear to express our primal creative intent–this can provide a great deal of vital information about our internal ‘power set-up’ and the ways we can successfully manifest/ access it.

7:30 AM PDT the Moon opposes Saturn, likely prompting us to state our case or assert ourselves in partnership or relationship. This may be something of a culmination of this energy; there is a need for us to make clear who we are within the interaction dynamic–and we can do so at this point with unusual clarity, and with the very healthy option of putting our own needs and interests, especially emotional ones, first. By 9:30 AM Pacific the Moon opposes h.Zeus, suggesting that we have a good chance of feeling empowered by the way we handled the Saturn contact, and now we may put our desires and ambitions on the table. This is a ‘come clean’ series of contacts, and if handled well, could propel us to a higher level of honesty with others and ourselves.

3:30 AM PDT of the 20th the Moon trines the Sun and opposes Juno. We know who we are, but have some difficulty empowering ourselves–it seems others are critical or require specific paperwork (Virgo) and we thought our positive intention toward the Universe would be enough (Pisces). There’s really no arguing to be done here; believe in yourself and gather your papers and credentials. Void begins at 5:03 AM PDT as the Moon begins to pull away from Juno, with the Moon entering Aries, 9:25 AM PDT.

7:30 PM PDT the Moon squares Pluto, either heaping fuel on the Arian Fire (and perhaps supplying the resolve, via Capricorn, to act, condemn, confirm, or end the matter) or resulting in some active, deep, and possibly intrusive Soul searching–intrusive because the Soul we may be prompted to search might not be our own! Again, tread with care, and consider channeling this energy into cleaning out something, whether that’s internal or external. Taking the energy in hand positively can give us the vigor and perspective to re-generate, reform, or re-birth something important.
