Félix Vallotton, 1913 – ‘La nuit au léger brouillard’ {{PD}}

It’s all whispered intuitions, knowing-but-not-knowing, messages sent and received below consciousness, relationships overflowing with caring (but with Venus entering Cancer, sometimes that comes with strings, doesn’t it?) and the suggestion from some that Love and Money are really the same thing–so hand it over! Clarity of thought is an almost impossible goal at this time; stick with the already-known, and don’t mix assets and affections–if we do, we’re bound to get the ratios wrong.

‘At the beach of Trouville’ (1870) Claude Monet {{PD}}

Today’s word image is: three women at the beach ask a stranger to take their picture. This evokes a holiday feel, and one the participants want to memorialize. What are you memorializing, taking a mental picture of, right now? Are you sentimentalizing it, imbuing it with meaning it might not really have? Do you fear it won’t last? Or are those in the ‘snapshot’ truly important to you, with the picture capturing that link forever? And is attention in this direction making you miss some other activity or details you might do better to notice?

I hope your week gets off to a great start!
