19-20 Feb 2010: Basic Instincts

Tags

, ,

The Taurus Moon has offered us a re-birth with its immediate aspects to the Sun/Earth axis at 00, and we’d do well to look at things through this renewed lens, our basic instincts (it is Taurus, after all) refreshed and refocused, for the moment on the emotional effects of material matters. The morning square PST to Mars makes us want to act on what we feel; unfortunately this is flipped with our capacity for emotional realization, and may mean that we get into difficulties with our need to change it up while only considering the consequences later (7 AMish PST on the 20th, when the Moon squares Mercury) .

Before this, though, we may go through a stop and start and stop again way of reacting, as the Moon first  quincunxes Saturn (we try to measure how much to put on the brakes, likely unsuccessfully), then trines Pluto (what we’ve changed, transformed, or destroyed is presented to us), then sextiles Jupiter (and we get a little too much of whatever it is we’ve created, or we get feedback or exposure socially). After all this comes the Mercury contact, and we get the message, one way or another.

By then we’re well into the 20th, and spend the day either enjoying or trying to remedy what we created the day before. By 4 PM PST we are offered another new start, as the Moon conjuncts Sedna and trines the North Node–and this one may be involuntary, as the material either floods our consciousness or we become completely disconnected from it. This aspect allows us to feel without the usual impediments, mental, spiritual, psychic, or emotional, and yet we may not be able to label what we experience. It’s an event when emotional perceptions go directly to the nerves and bypass the brain–for some of us implying danger, while for others a unique sensory experience, and for still others a much needed ‘time out’ that allows a form of Taurean renewal.

By 6 PM the Moon opposes Pallas; expect emotional stand-offs centered on skills or ‘the wise course.’  10 PM PST brings a quincunx to Ceres, bringing forward a need to adjust the emotions to nature, reality, or the needs of others, as Ceres takes a maternal tone. 2 AM PST starts a sextile to Uranus, followed swiftly by squares to Chiron and Neptune; the emotions take a beating, first startled, then lied to, hurt, deluded, or comforted with fantasy. If we’re asleep at this point the effect will enter through our dreams; look for the ways the senses will be represented, and what this may say about waking life.

In gratitude to all who’ve been so supportive in purchasing the inaugural issue of ECLIPSE, I’d like to offer the opportunity to ask a single, brief question. Email me at juliedemboski@hotmail.com with your query; include your birth info (write out the month, place name not co-ordinates) and I will determine if your question requires a look at the natal chart, at transits, or a horary chart. Vague, open-ended questions bring vague answers; specifics bring focused info. All answers will, of necessity, be very brief; be patient, I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible, and I’m sure you can understand that I won’t have the time for any follow-up exchanges, though of course I look forward to any comments you may have. This offer is valid only for purchasers of the magazine, and cannot be reassigned to anyone else, and the email used must be the email from which you purchased the magazine–no exceptions. No questions will be answered before magazine purchase. And, in case you’re wondering, it’s not too late–purchase your own copy of ECLIPSE–only $2.95!–and get in on the deal! http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/eclipse-in-depth-astrology-for-the-21st-century/

17-18 Feb 2010: The Power of the Will

Tags

, , , , ,

Early afternoon PST we see the Aries Moon sextile Mercury, making us talky about our Will and what we intend to do to facillitate it–not the best indulgence if we’d like to retain the power to do our own thing; it’s also possible that the emotional perceptions will communicate themselves, or communicate with others, in order to gain power through co-operation–this is a healthy option as long as we’re the kind of person ready and willing to work with others–but in any case, for our own emotional security, we must remain the leader of our own drama, making our own choices, whether in tandem with others or not.

By 6 PM PST the Moon opposes Zeus in Libra; those of you who’ve seen the Zeus article in ECLIPSE (http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/eclipse-in-depth-astrology-for-the-21st-century/) will know just what kind of ambitious and Willful energies may come forward in us; or, much more likely, what energies we’ll face. This specific desire nature can leap to the fore in interaction with others, as relationships suddenly show their ambition or sexual desire facets quite openly. There’s only trouble if we are in denial about the existence of these energies, or if we project our own Zeusian tendencies onto others–then, real power struggles could ensue, as the Will of one tries to impose itself on the Other.

Aries courtesy of http://karenswhimsy.com {{PD}}

By 8 AM PST of the 18th the Aries Moon squares the Nodal Axis, quincunxes Pallas, and semi-sextiles Sedna in concert. This could bring a very trying moment where the emotional impetus is clearly in conflict with the life direction; we’re called upon to check choices against what we know to be wise, but here’s the problem: with Sedna in the mix we are literally unable to see the act or choice that would benefit our own cause. Just be aware of this, and you’ll understand that not choosing at this time will allow you to make a better choice in the near future.

The bonus today is that Earth and Vesta are conjunct at 29 degrees of Leo–why is this a bonus? Because it offers us the opportunity to see how well our material situation is in line with our most sacred values–and it also gives us the energy and desire (29 degrees) to do something about it.

By 5 PM the Sun has entered Pisces and the Aries Moon is semi-sextile Uranus, bringing a surprising flavor to the energy shift; we may find ourselves quite happily allowing our Will to be superseded by the Will or good of the group–embrace the Selflessness of the moment in ways that also respect the emotional needs of the Self (Aries).

By 2:30 PM PST the Moon is nearing the end of her journey through the energy that urges her to express herself, which is not always easy for her. She sextiles Neptune, Chiron, then conjuncts Juno, and we meet the ways our Will can realize our ideals, and vice versa, and we also get a moment of ease with our wound–by this I mean, we are able to see how our injuries serve (or delay) our emotional health. The meeting with Juno, though, brings a fulfilling end to Moon in Aries, uniting our emotional Will with our means of empowerment–for some, a wish fulfilled.

Midnight brings the Moon trine Vesta at 29 degrees–we may feel we must address issues of sacred duty, home, sex, and life commitments, but this is an emotional reaction that is best used to examine how these issues make us feel, rather than plan our actions based on current perceptions.

The Moon enters Taurus at 2:56 AM on the 19th PST and immediately sextiles the Sun, fresh in Pisces, and trines the Earth in Virgo. This can feel like a mini-re-birth as major energies shift into new modes of expression. Embrace the fresh breath of air with an awareness that this makes everything just a little bit different, that it moves our seat at the opera just a tad–and that changes our view.

16 Feb 2010: Keeping Our Footing on Unsteady Ground

Tags

, , ,

The day starts PST with that Moon/ Uranus conjunction in Pisces (6:31 AM the contact becomes exact), and as I said previously, look “for a surprise, a spark of Higher Mind awareness, or a moment of emotional anarchy–we may be tempted to project this feeling onto the Collective (via Pisces), or we may have the emotional reaction through a Collective experience–in any case, stay alert, and don’t take any shock too personally, even if it presents itself so.” This can get the day off on the wrong foot for West Coasters, if we prefer steady balance to spontaneity, and for those who are in any way tired or tense, this can be a very trying influence–and one that may cause upset that plagues the mental processes for the remainder of the day (or at least until the Void). For others it can sweep in like an ill wind mid-day, knocking us over with the unexpected, and throwing us out of sorts for what feels like no real reason. For some, it will bring the uniting of the emotional perceptions and what we may see as a spark of genius–nurture this with care, as time will tell whether this is of real worth, and it’s up to us to foster the idea long enough to give it a chance to (possibly) bloom.

9 AM PST the Moon quincunxes the Earth and reality and material circumstances make themselves felt, and we should pay attention to what our emotional reactions to the physical reality reveals; just after noon PST the Moon moves on to quincunx Vesta at 29 degrees, bringing an emotional situation that asks us to measure how effectively we are living our deepest values, honoring what’s sacred to us, supporting the home situation, and perhaps asking how and whether the sex life is serving the emotional needs–a big task if we have strayed of late from what really matters, but one that must be sorted out, with both bodies at 29 degrees.

An 18th century depiction of the Icelandic god Tyr, here associated with Aries' ruler Mars

And now we face the question of just when the Void begins on the 16th. Some will see the Void beginning as the Moon moves away from conjunction to Uranus, while those who accept quincunxes as a major aspect and who use the Earth will look for the end of that aspect, while those who include the asteroids in all chart functions may see the end of the aspect to Vesta as the start of what amounts to a brief Void. In any case, the Moon enters Aries at 4:30 PM PST, and by 10:30 PM we see the Moon trine Mars and opposed Saturn, and soon after squaring Pluto. This takes the energy of the early Aries Moon, that brings a healthy (in most people) Self interest to the fore, and presents us with the problems that ‘me first’ energy has created. It seems we will be confident in our actions, and this will carry resistance from authority or a headlong run-in with the rules, with problems of the destructive, secret, or change kind arriving hot on the heels of our assertive decisions. It’s an energy influence that we’d best handle consciously and carefully, putting the concerns of others on equal footing with our own, if only to avoid our own overreaching, that could bring a bit of an ‘ager backlash’ as a result.

A semi-sextile of the Aries Moon to the exact Venus/ Jupiter conjunction in Pisces in the 6 AM hour PST of the 17th brings forward the ways in which we actively love–a lovely way to start the new day for West Coasters, and a pleasant injection to the day for everyone else, bringing love to consciousness that throws us back on ourselves and reminding what’s most important to us in an effective, moving, and enlightening way.

14-15 Feb 2010: By the Light of the Silvery Pisces Moon-the Valentine Edition

Tags

, , , ,

For the 14th, the Pisces Moon hits Venus in Pisces (how perfect for Valentine’s Day!) and at the same time sextiles Pluto (how characteristic of love itself, exploring and exposing all our deepest deepness!) This suggests that with openness we will know where we stand with love, as well as with other Venusian subjects such as relationships in general, finances, assets, and talents, and that what we see or what is presented to us reflects the core reality of those Venusian situations. We would be wise to heed what we feel (and to pay special attention to the feelings events bring to the surface), and we should make every effort to match those feelings we experience to actual ‘testimony’ in the real world; by that I mean, if your feelings, particularly in relationship, don’t match the feedback you’re getting, then it’s time to look squarely at the reality of the situation these apply to. For instance, you spend three hours getting ready for the big Valentine date, anticipating that this is the Big Night–you’re sure he’s in love, he’s going to propose, or at least ask you to move in with him–after all, he shows up and stays over two or three nights a week, and yeah he comes by pretty late, but he works really hard (and yet you’re not entirely sure at what); meanwhile, for your date he’s four hours late, with no explanation as to why, says you missed your reservation so will just grab some fast food, then right in the middle of his McJunk he gets a phone call and says he has to go–where should he drop you off? Today is the day when you should not let your ideas about the relationship (he loves me! he’s going to propose!) override the reality of it (he’s inconsiderate, disrespectful, and treats you like a booty call).

A conjunction of the Moon to Jupiter (around 5 PM PST) makes the feelings BIG, really BIG, and may give a tendency to project what’s personal onto society at large. If you experience strong negative reaction around this time, look for the individual displacement of emotion that may be occurring; anger at an expansive social entity could be an outlet (both ineffective, and covering a real hurt you would be better off being aware of) for what’s really bothering you. A semi-sextile of the Moon and Jupiter to Mercury at this point means we’ll likely let everyone know what’s on our emotional minds, so those who hope to keep secrets, especially the love kind (Venus-Pluto) will not keep them for long.

The Moon and Cancer, detail of the Ducal Palace, Venice, photo by, and many thanks to, Giovanni Dall'Orto

By 7 AM PST of the 15th we’ve got the Pisces Moon quincunx Zeus, showing us the emotional cost of going full-tilt toward our ambitions and desires (for more on Zeus as a major significator of male energies and issues, see the Winter issue of ECLIPSE magazine http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/eclipse-in-depth-astrology-for-the-21st-century/). This may bring us up short emotionally, leaving us a little unsteady and searching for our emotional footing in key matters of energy use and productivity.

A Grand Trine of the Moon to the South Node and Pallas, simultaneous to her sextile to Sedna (9 PM PST) says that we may look to the past and past experience to get our emotional bearings, drawn on our emotional wisdom, but without success–Sedna makes it impossible to draw on memory cogently at this point, though with any luck we may retain the objective awareness of what is considered ‘wise’ in this instance. Then the Moon squares Ceres, and we’re confronted with the emotional repercussions of either dealing with authority, exercise of our own authority, or both, and negotiation, though reasonable, may not feel like an effective way out of the conflict. Taken together, these indicate an experience that’s unsettling emotionally, and that challenges us to both remain calm in the moment, and to not react from old, reactionary beliefs about authority and its usage we may carry around.

5 AM PST on the 16th the Moon meets Uranus, for a surprise, a spark of Higher Mind awareness, or a moment of emotional anarchy–again, we may be tempted to project this feeling onto the Collective (via Pisces), or we may have the emotional reaction through a Collective experience–in any case, stay alert, and don’t take any shock too personally, even if it presents itself so.

Sending Valentine Love to all my Readers–Thank You, especially for your generous support of my latest venture (ECLIPSE magazine, link above)–and a Very Happy Pisces Moon to You All!

What’s Holding You Back? Trends in the New Year

Tags

,

What an odd time the New Year has been! It seems like ever since 2010 came to town, currents through the Collective have been running with a vicious undertow (Uranus in Pisces), structures are crumbling (Pluto in Capricorn), it’s difficult to sort true from illusion (Neptune in Aquarius), and injury to the intellect or the automatic use of the most facile elements of the mind, without reference to whether this is positive or not (Chiron in Aquarius), have plagued us all in one form or another. But you may rightly protest, haven’t these placements been in effect for what seems like forever? Yes, yes they have, and yet it seems we’re only now getting a glimpse at their most recent influence. A few developments in December and January have cleared the way for us to get a gander at what’s up right now, a peek below the covers that could inform us as to what responses may benefit us most (these are just a few main points that led into the current period; for full forecast and current conditions, please see the Winter issue of ECLIPSE http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/eclipse-in-depth-astrology-for-the-21st-century/).

Mars’ retrograde brought us up short, if not outright stopping action at least forcing our choices to take an indirect route, making them less effective than they typically would be; then the Sun entered Capricorn and the circumstances illuminated were those of hard reality, while upon the Sun’s entry into Aquarius our attention was drawn to thinking about what we’d just observed–a contemplation that felt ineffective, simply because the action energy is still withdrawn. Saturn retrograded and suddenly barriers were down; the rules can be bent, regular ways of accumulating, building, impacting are not working and, combined with Mars’ situation, means we are in an especially tough position, one that says we are strongly desiring productive action, but are not terribly likely to be able to make it a reality.

To add to this, mid-December saw Pallas enter Scorpio; this wise lady moved from a stance of concern with relationship to others, of partnership and co-operation, to a viewpoint that urges her to dig for the truth, to perhaps express destructive anger when she finds it, to destroy or transform what she touches, and to keep secrets, out of fear, security, or power needs. Pallas is, then, in a mode that can be as injurious to the exercise of wisdom as it can be supportive of it, and may not come to our aid in quite the way we expect, we’d like, or that seems the most beneficial to our interests from our point of view.

Late December moved Ceres from Scorpio, where she was a wee bit overbearing (angrily, at times), to Sagittarius, crowning our feeling of authority (for what is the maternal force but ‘the one who knows best’?) with the need/ desire to let our authority be known, and with this, Ceres will often be the one who dictates what should be–and then along comes Jupiter; he enters Pisces and our impulse to reach out to the Collective becomes a major force. And with that we are back at our effectiveness, or lack thereof, with the retrograde energies of Mars and Saturn.

What do we get from all this? Don’t worry if you feel things don’t seem to be moving as they should, and don’t be hard on yourself in terms of accomplishment–though things aren’t proceeding with the kind of feedback we expect or are used to from our efforts, they are making a mark–it will just be some time before we see it.

And in gratitude to all who’ve been so supportive in purchasing the inaugural issue of ECLIPSE, I’d like to offer the opportunity to ask a single, brief question. Email me at juliedemboski@hotmail.com with your query; include your birth info (write out the month, place name not co-ordinates) and I will determine if your question requires a look at the natal chart, at transits, or a horary chart. 13 Feb 2010: The Empowerment New Moon

Tags

,

Red Lanterns by Dcubillas

We enter the Dark of the Moon this evening, the 10th, PST, and in the darkness find some chance for pre-New Moon renewal. But isn’t the New Moon the point of renewal? you may ask–yes, but this New Moon is going to demand a lot from us; our task in the days leading up to it is to absorb the calm, to gather strength and focus that will be called upon when the Sun and Moon meet.

The New Moon (also the Chinese New Year, which always falls on the New Moon in Aquarius each year) occurs at 6:50 PM PST at 25 Aquarius 17, and there are three aspects made within our strict two degree orb, conjunctions to Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius, and a sextile to Arian Juno (and here’s where I should apologize to Eclipse readers, as I simply left out Neptune in listing aspects for this Moon, though it was taken into account in interpreting the extra information provided in ‘What You Won’t See on the Blog’–http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/eclipse-in-depth-astrology-for-the-21st-century/ Scroll down for article excerpts).

The imperative for this New Moon is clear: we must reach past the hurt and illusion/ deception to find our own, ‘new born’ empowerment, and this must have an intellectual or Higher Mind cast. The hurt and illusion is nothing more than a viewpoint we have superimposed that has allowed us to remain disempowered in the present–but now we are called (or perhaps challenged) to let go of whatever has been misleading us, deluding us, fooling us, distorting our thinking, or making us shy away from our appropriate direction out of fear of being hurt (or, in some cases, out of a fear of bringing forward some of our most unique and accomplished skill sets), and all of these are mentally-oriented. This misdirection has been perpetrated with our cooperation; the Aquarius New Moon asks us to apply the Higher Mind and overcome assumed and accepted limits.

The Sabian for this degree is ‘A Garage Man Testing a Car’s Battery with a Hydrometer’ suggesting applying our skills to a measurement of our energy capacity, and in particular our energy capacity as it is affected by our emotional ‘charge.’ Hydrometer does, after all, suggest ‘measuring water,’ an estimation of the strength of the emotional ‘body’ as it superimposes itself on the realities that surround us. It’s reasonable to draw connection between the emotional state and those things that may have affected our sense of empowerment, and the New Moon symbol implies we have the skills at this point to deal with any impediments.

8 Feb 2010: Empowerment Through the Past

Tags

, ,

Aspect of the Day, through Thursday: Sun sextile Ceres, both quincunx South Node, and by 2 AM PST the 8th the Moon joins with Ceres and adds her own distinct emotional perspective–and she stays within this config until 9 AM PST. This Finger of God points directly to our past, and our past experiences, and reveals the way in which our current focus (the transiting Sun), our identity (also Sun energy), our relationship to nature, the seasons (and by extension, the passage of time), and the issue of authority, your own or others (Ceres) are all given context by our past, and specifically by our consciousness of the passage of the years, and the changes that have ensued. This is an opportunity to be guided in our present by an awareness of our own unique history, and during the hours of the Moon’s involvement, we get the added bonus of being able to access the nature and time-passage connection through our emotional memories and through our intuitive faculties. Use the energy to bring clarity to the matters you’re dealing with right now.

Michelangelo {{PD-Art}}

The Moon’s involvement with Ceres coincides with her trine to Earth, quickly followed by the Moon’s quincunx to Sedna, and this brings us to another Finger of God (Sedna sextile South Node, both quincunx Ceres/ Moon, lasting, minus Moon, through Feb 20th). In this instance the Universe points us in the direction of those emotional and intuitive perceptions, once again, but this time they are in service to what we either did not understand in the past, or that we do not perceive now about our past. This is an aspect of illumination, and will be vital to our full utilization of the potentials for enlightenment shown in the previous config. Working together they should bring at least one (or even a series) of moments signifying emotional and intellectual understanding–and the fact that these memories are coming forward now should clue us in to the importance of deciphering their meaning in relation to what we’re facing in the present.

11 AM PST brings the Sagittarius Moon’s trine to Juno=this acts as another signpost to empowerment; what we feel at this time tells us something vital about what we should or shouldn’t do in order to thrive and express. And the 2 PM hour brings a square to Uranus=the feeling senses are surprised, startled, shocked, rebelled against, or schooled via the Higher Mind or the intellect. Don’t allow this contact to throw you off your game; and as always, seek the lesson (the information, revelation, or perception) the experience offers.

The many sextiles the Moon makes will simply be a bit of a reminder for most, typically of their own recent tussle with all those energies in Aquarius, for example, and show little potential for change. But, the early evening PST brings the Moon sextile Venus, offering us a pleasant interlude for relationships or socializing before the Sag Moon goes Void (9:00 PM PST), requiring we step back and reflect on what the day brought us. Moon enters Capricorn at 2:43 AM PST.

7 Feb 2010: The Spirit of Independence

Tags

, , ,

After the Moon’s trine to Mars in the 4 AM hour PST, we sail into a prototypical Sagittarius Moon day–what does that mean? That Sag energies take a pure form; with no major contact to other bodies until the 5 PM hour PST, the Moon will bring a spirit of adventure, knowledge-seeking, religious inspiration, openness, and independence to matters of the House in the natal chart it’s transiting, and to any energies in the natal chart it contacts. It will impact us in its truest form; be ready to expand your world, cut loose, explore, in some form.

Lady Liberty embodies Sag's expansive attitude {{PD}}

5 PM PST brings a sextile to Zeus, and emotions may help bolster wants and justify ambitions. This isn’t negative, in fact it may help us connect to (and admit) what we really desire, but if we use feelings to support something that fails to recognize others’ rights and boundaries, we may get ourselves into something we didn’t really anticipate or intend. The sign Zeus is now transiting, Libra, implies that relationships, or the matters of the House(s) in the natal chart associated with Libra, are the likely outlets for this burst of ambitious desire energy. (See much more on the meaning of Zeus in the natal chart, and particularly in male/ female relationships, in the Winter issue of ‘Eclipse’ here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/eclipse-in-depth-astrology-for-the-21st-century/

By the 3 AM hour of the 8th, the Moon is conjunct Ceres, and by the following hour trines Earth and semi-sextiles Pallas, suggesting prime time for planting and harvest, both literal and figurative; you’ll make smart decisions as long as you remain in harmony with nature.

6 Feb 2010: Stirred Up by the Sag Moon

Tags

, ,

We’re ushered into the Void (boy, that sounds ominous!) at 8:12 AM PST, and the atmosphere is calm, if we can relax into it; those with anxiety issues and caffeine addictions may not have it easy, as they may feel uncomfortably adrift (the Void) and a little threatened (Scorpio) for no reason that can be pinpointed. It’s a day to hang out, to meander, wander, sample, and enjoy in any not-too-strenuous way. Take it easy, no matter what you’re up to, as with Scorpio there’s always a precipice somewhere nearby.

The Moon enters Sagittarius at 4:04 PM PST, and the feelings may go in one of several directions: we may have the urge to ‘find out,’ or to share our knowledge; we may anticipate that religious practice or ritual, or any show of faith, will bring good feeling; we may suddenly feel footloose, ready to journey on the spur-of-the-moment; or we could find our attention, our intellect, wandering far afield, and spend the evening (at least for Pacific coasters) visualizing exotic lands and new horizons.

{{PD-Art}} Courtesy Wikimedia Commons

By 8 PM PST the Moon creates a T-square with the Vesta/ Jupiter opposition, and is also sextile Saturn, and these aspects last through the 1 AM hour. The emotional tension of the T puts some pressure on us, as our most important values are tested against societal beliefs or standards, and if there are disparities (and certainly there must be, for any thinking person) we will find ourselves in an emo quandry, to some extent; we may spend the time these aspects are in force looking for information or sorting through our belief system so that we can find our place emotionally within our world. By 4 AM PST we see a trine from the Sagittarius Moon to fiery retro Mars, and we may be prompted to act on those things we mulled hours before.

Bonus! Earth trine Ceres=get outside and do your thing, especially if it has to do with gardening, preparation for food production (Northern hemisphere) or harvest (Southern hemisphere).

5 Feb 2010: The Shape of Things to Come

Tags

The Scorpio Moon moves along, doing its Scorpio thing, through the early part of the day PST; a lack of significant aspects among the Moon and the other bodies puts the emphasis on what the Moon may be aspecting in the natal chart, and on the matters of the natal House being transited. 2 PM-ish PST the Moon finally steps up and forms a T-square with the Sun/ Earth axis, and things start hoppin’. Or rather, they may have been hoppin’ before, but now they’ll take on shape, with energies corresponding to our own attention drawn to emotional and intuitive reactions to the life landscape. It may seem that things suddenly pop into focus, as if we have a command of our energy and the direction that it flows that wasn’t present earlier in the day. This likely brings on examination of something concerning the individual role and goals as they relate to the group role or involvement, echoing the recent Leo Moon.

By 6 PM PST we see the Scorpio Moon conjunct Pallas, setting a tone of calm, collected consideration of our emotional state; this is an excellent time to get a feeling perspective on the current situation, as we’ll be measuring and responding from a point of wisdom and common sense. Take advantage of the emotional clarity and equilibrium possible, as by the 9 PM hour the Moon is opposed Sedna, quincunx Juno, and trine the South Node; this introduces a serious note that may leave us feeling very uncertain. We sense that there’s something we’re not seeing (Sedna) that’s challenging our sense of our own empowerment (Juno), specifically questioning whether we know the full scope and implications of our position (Scorpio), and we search our memories for past experience (SN) that may clue us in to those things we sense but can’t pinpoint now (Sedna influence), as we try to discern the shape of things to come.

The 3 AM hour starts a chain reaction where the Moon engages energies, boom boom boom–a square to Venus (tension over values, finances, or relationships), a simultaneous sextile to Mercury and trine to Uranus (the messages are shocking, surprising, or meant to enlighten), then squares to Chiron and Neptune (emotional difficulties rooted in old wounds and delusions–let them go, for gosh sakes!) leading to the Void that begins at 8:12 AM on the 6th, prompting West Coasters to begin the day in relaxed mode.
