The Cancer Moon is between engagements at the moment, with her next contact not coming until 4:30 AM of the morrow PDT, and that with quincunxes to the very close conjunction (only 24 minutes apart, at that point) of Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius. Then we’ll see emotional pressure (or perhaps intuitive prompting) to deal with thoughts of hurtful fantasy, creative healing, or ideals and skills united and applied–your choice, if you’re conscious enough of the energy when it comes forward.

At the same time the Moon will trine Jupiter in Pisces and effectively create a Grand Trine with Jupiter and Pallas, with all components in Water. It’ll be like taking a Wisdom bath–will you open up to it, or perceive it as a distraction? This latter possibility is spurred by the Moon’s soon-to-perfect quincunx to Ceres, which for about half an hour makes a Finger of God with Moon apex and Chiron/ Neptune base, pointing out for us just how disaffected or misunderstood emotional energy might act as the outlet for unconsciously held Neptune/ Chiron energies. Avoiding both fooling oneself and dwelling on hurts is required for maximum, positive use of this energy.

By 6:30-ish AM PDT of the 2nd the Moon will square Vesta in Libra, implying a true emo conflict over values, the home, or the sex life (!), followed around 8 by the Moon’s aspects to Uranus, Pallas, Ceres, and Mercury. This excites a great deal of enthusiasm, mental energy, and the drive to take authority oneself and act–really, with some openness to adjustment, a tremendously positive energy to implement your own agenda.

Void begins 8:32 AM PDT of the 2nd, with the Moon entering Leo at 11:20 AM PDT. Then we see the Moon quincunx Pluto around 3 PM PDT, calling for adjustment of the emotional perceptions to something dark in our midst–this is very likely to have echoes of previous choices surrounding it, and reverberations we’re not yet aware of for the future (as the North Node moves steadily toward our anti-hero!)

Around 11 PM PDT the Leo Moon quincunxes the North Node and sextiles Saturn, perhaps asking us to accept reality and adjust our goals accordingly. The Moon sextiles the Sun in the 4 AM hour PDT, as if letting the Solar energy sitting in partnership know, ‘I haven’t forgotten about you, I’m just off on my own (Leo) for a while!’

So what do we do about the 1st and its long, open, Lunar aspectless stretch? We read ECLIPSE for the October outlook, the lowdown on Venus Retrograde, ‘What You Won’t See on the Blog’ for New and Full Moons here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/ or we curl up with our computer and read about our own empowerment http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com and we check our natal chart with the expectation that wherever the Moon is passing, the matters of that House will receive some emphasis–and then we accept our Cancerian mandate (one that says we must examine what we care about), and we go forward and have a great day!

Moon, Moon in Cancer, Moon in Gemini, My Daily Astrology Diary

The next Lunar statement is made when the Gemini Moon squares Mercury in Virgo ; communication is what it’s all about, and it’s coming from all sides. This is likely to be the theme for today, building to perfection very close to 7:30 PM PDT. The square suggests it will be a period of dynamic exchange; we’ll hear about those things we’ve been waiting on, and may hear a few things we don’t like, or that may be hard to deal with–such is an open flow of information, we can’t pick and choose, nor should we, as unpleasant news can be as useful (if not more so) than the pleasant variety.

Arrangement in Pink and Gray c.1894 Edmund C. Tarbell {{PD-Art}}

The Moon’s trine to Vesta, beginning around 10 PM Pacific, says that the all-day communications serve a very specific end: to help us align our thoughts and actions with our most sacred values. At this time it’s easy to pull these together, though we must be prepared if we look around at our surroundings or our intimate relationships and find they are out of sync with our Vesta principles–this is an opportunity to re-align, rather than an indicator that we are aligned–it’s good to distinguish between these.

In the midnight hour PDT the Moon trines Neptune and Chiron, and this offers a wonderful, healing moment: we are aligned with our values, ideals are alive with imagination and optimism, and we feel emotional energy is available for soothing and repairing (I make it sound like lotion, don’t I?!) But it’s that smooth an influence on the psyche, so we should take advantage of it. This ushers in the last day of September 2010 in the Pacific time zone, and sets the tone for the day.

By 1:30 AM of the 30th PDT the Moon is squaring Jupiter, opposing Ceres, and quincunxing Pallas, bringing forward an interesting influence: we spent the previous day mostly with an internal focus, making the outer match the inner (or at least noting where the discrepancies were) but now we get a reaction from those in authority (including Mom, perhaps?) and from the social sphere, and we may have some checking to do involving whether what we’ve chosen is wise. Almost certainly, there will be some flack from one’s social group, but we should trust our own inner wisdom which, if it wasn’t in play before, is in play now. Your own judgment is best, even though it’s vital to stay flexible and willing to recognize a less-than-stellar inclination that may be steering us wrong.

Next comes the Moon’s square to Uranus, around 3 AM PDT of the 30th, and we may be tempted to rebel, as it seems the group just won’t let up–but remember that this is a Gemini Moon hard aspect–there’s a lot of talk involved, not necessarily followed up with action. Don’t react from feeling threatened; your position is likely more secure (or already determined) and in fact getting upset won’t change things a lick.

This is quickly followed by a sextile to Juno, which offers the opportunity to wrap up what we’ve learned over the last few days and use it as fuel to our own empowerment. ‘Well done,’ is likely to be the feeling here. Void begins at 4:32 AM Pacific, with the Moon entering Cancer at 6:45 AM. Energies work up to the Moon’s opposition to Pluto, 10:30 AM-ish PDT, and we are faced with power issues, pure and simple. What forms these issues take will have a lot to do with your personal relationship to the power structure in place, your own sense of empowerment, and how much you believe the powers-that-be should care–may be an eye-opening episode for many.

Of course, we’re undergoing that yearly conjunction of the transiting Sun to Saturn; this illuminates what is, what’s reliable, and gives form to the sense of structure and security. It lets us see where we stand with reality, and the material plane in particular, and begins a new Sun/ Saturn cycle. It’s a point of both comprehension and the chance to re-new one’s relationship to the physical and to form–and with a Gemini, then Cancer, Moon involved, we should get all the info and kind assistance we need. See more on this from Tony Vowles here http://www.theastrologyblog.com/2010/09/sun-conjunct-saturn.html

So this morning I looked in the bottom of my coffee cup, and what did I see? (And here I should note, I don’t usually see anything but dusky swirls of fine grounds.) There was an amazingly unmistakable Sun, perfectly, symmetrically formed. I was so surprised at that, the flawless circle in the center, the rays like one of those 80s stegosaurus hairdos, with each ray drawn out to a fine point. I had to look it up; just for fun, I invite you to look for a pattern in your life, too–a vision in a cloud, a repeated shape or symbol seen throughout the day, your own personal tea leaves of life!– here’s a list of traditional meanings: http://www.mojomoon.net/tleaves.html And whatever you do, have a great one!

See my latest, on empowerment and partnership, here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com and check out the October forecast, and much more, here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/  And I almost forgot! 2-3 September 2010: Timing is Everything

Moon, Moon in Cancer, Moon in Gemini, My Daily Astrology Diary

The Lunar influence over the coming two days is best tracked to identify optimum times to do, to act, to move; we’re looking for power points and moments when it’s best to lay low. Major influences are assisting us in this two day period, and though the Moon’s transit may give us a boost or warn us off precipitous action, other energies are strongly at play right now–make the most of them! (As I don’t repeat myself, you need to check ECLIPSE for the particulars–I’ve already pinpointed the 2nd/3rd as a Big Day–support the blog and see the factors at work here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/) The Inferior Conjunction of the Sun and Mercury is on the 3rd, making this an even better ‘seed time’ than we might think.

About 9:30 AM PDT on the 2nd the Gemini Moon opposes Ceres, and we get our first indication that we may be up against something formidable; Ceres says authority and/ or Mother Nature is directly at odds with our intents–obviously, a lay low point. Now and over the coming few hours the Moon also makes a Grand Trine in Air with Mars/ Venus and Neptune/ Chiron, suggesting that thinking about and using our imagination and skills to plan action (especially if we use our intuition to inform choices) is the way to while away the time. Don’t feel that you’re losing the day–instead realize that the action won’t really take that long. Well planned means choices are up and running in what seems like no time. By 8:30 PM the energy opens up for all that you’ve lined up–Go! Around 9:30 PM PDT to the Void is another point of caution as the Moon squares Uranus–this doesn’t preclude action but rather tells us to expect the unexpected–and to take advantage of the element of surprise.

Void begins 10:40 PM PDT–sit still–or, if you want unanticipatable outcomes, an element of luck or chaos, or to move without leaving a trace, this is the time. You can make your actions (possibly) impossible to observe during a Void–but know that, since we don’t know how things will go, we can’t be sure if our stealth action will stay stealthy! Just to let you know–

11:51 PM PDT the Moon enters Cancer and squares Jupiter. This suggests that our purposes may conflict with the standards of the social arena; this doesn’t mean our efforts won’t succeed, it only implies that some element of our own willfulness will come back at us (Jupiter in Aries). By 3 AM of the 3rd the Moon is opposed Pluto–Jackpot!–this is one of those power points we’ve been waiting for. It may seem a little scary, but full steam ahead!

The Moon squares Saturn just ahead of the 7 AM hour PDT, and we are reminded that laws, physics, and Self-discipline are still necessary to the smooth operation of civilization and our own success. By 4:30 PM PDT the Cancer Moon moves into contact range of a number of important energies. The Lunar energy conjuncts the South Node and sextiles the Sun and Mercury, and what’s lit up tells us how well we’ve been utilizing the influences; this is done through comparing the present to the past, and through what’s communicated (or what’s withheld–this can speak even more loudly!)

By 8:30 PM PDT the Moon has gone on to square the Zeus/ Vesta conjunction, which at this point is only 6 minutes from perfection. There’s a serious check on our Will and ambitions via our most sacred values, and priorities may be delivered through the home front or the sex life. Yeow. This is very very good, though, because it means that nothing is kept in the repetoire that isn’t in line with the things we honor most.

Just pre-7 AM PDT on the 4th the Moon trines Pallas in Water, and we may get a glimpse of the wisdom of our actions, and the emotional impact of our choices over the past two days–choose well!

12 July 2010: Resolving Skills and Feelings

Finger of God, Moon in Cancer, Moon in Leo, My Daily Astrology Diary

The Moon forms a Finger of God, 2:30 AM PDT on the 12th, with a sextile to Saturn at 29 degrees and apex Neptune. This suggest something of a crisis with reality, ‘what is,’ and perhaps with rules and boundaries, but this is the moment when it is all easily resolved, by really feeling the Moon in Cancer, by placing no restirictions on what is allowed to be experienced, by not censoring the emotional palette–and then by letting it all go for a while, as the Moon enters the Void briefly, at 4:49 AM PDT.

The Moon enters Leo at 5:53 AM PDT, and immediately trines Uranus and quincunxes Chiron, bringing unique, individual skills to the fore–you may find you have the energy and courage to pursue ambitions, to go after what you really want–you may feel more clear on your goals than you have for some time. By 8 AM, though, the Moon has formed another Fingor of God, this time acting as the apex to the Chiron/ Pluto sextile. I see the Moon in this instance almost drawing from the earlier contact to Chiron and bringing that energy to contact with Pluto–and that this presents an awareness of a hurt that we are able to transform by allowing ourselves to feel and see the matter from the viewpoint of our own needs and wants (Moon in Leo). Putting ourselves central to the issue puts things in the correct perspective.

By 10:30 AM PDT the Moon moves on to trine Jupiter and perfect the quincunx with Pluto. We are in tune with the social flow, but may find that we understand social issues too well–they irritate, they spur us to change or transform–the productive among us will change something about ourselves or our attitudes, while those less conscious will think in terms of ‘society should ‘x!” An illuminating interlude, that can clue us into the possibility that we’re carrying a too-insular or too-righteous viewpoint.

Mid-afternoon PDT the Moon squares Pallas and then conjuncts Mercury, and we may find we’re speaking our minds against our better judgment! It’s a time where the wise thing just doesn’t seem as important as being heard–just take care that in speaking up you don’t speak for others–make all your statements start with “I”

By 11:30 PM PDT the Leo Moon quincunxes the Capricorn North Node and sextiles Zeus, and we may be really connecting with the way we feel about our ambitions and wants, and how well we’re moving in that direction–a good time to resolve skills and feelings, and how well we’re handling each.

11 July 2010: The Solar Eclipse, Your Invitation to the Party

10 Saturday Jul 2010

Moon in Cancer, My Weekend Astro Diary, Solar Eclipse, the Magazine

This Solar eclipse has an incredible assertive energy going on; it also sits at the midpoint of a trine that spells trouble; and a couple of aspects are slightly outside my strict-but-constantly-stretching boundaries ( and this may be where you start to wonder if I shouldn’t ditch the 2 degree rule altogether; in keeping the rule I’m very careful about what I consider to be an eclipse aspect, and avoid ‘kitchen sink’ syndrome).  As always, the variations are slight, and needed to see the complete eclipse picture.

The eclipse begins at 12:40 PM PDT on July 11th, as Sun and Moon conjunct at 19 Cancer 23. The assertive energies are found in the Sun/ Moon still valid conjunction to Juno–think of a power figure who gets what they want by offering nurture, or by calling on the ties they’ve already created, and this may  involve a sense of obligation, duty, or ‘I owe’–it’s the bargain this Sun/ Moon combo creates, and the sextile to Vesta/ Mars in Virgo says that there will be an accounting going on, likely of energy expended, and the one doing the counting will be prone to consider this expenditure sacred–and expect payback.

Our Sabian for the eclipse degree is ‘A Venetian Gondolier Giving a Serenade’ The gondolier is, of course, singing because it’s part of the sh0wmanship of his job; at bottom, he does a thing of beauty because he wants to get paid. That’s not to discount that he may love his role, that singing may be a joyous expression for him, and that his singing may be spontaneous, performed for any Soul within earshot. What it reminds us, though, is that life is about the flow and exchange of energy in all its forms, and that the roles we play (no matter how innate to our character or genuine to our Being) are played as part of a Universal agreement of exchange for mutual benefit–it’s a reminder that we must give what’s most true to our talents, and that we have an obligation to discover what those are. By implication there is also the idea that the farther we are from our best expression, the farther from that Universal ‘flow’ we are (and remember, flow goes both directions, not just toward you!)

Does this suggest that the hovering maternal (for this is the essence of caring) to whom we’re obligated is really the Universe? A wide quincunx of the eclipse to Ceres certainly supports this, and a sextile to Sedna further implies we just can’t see this–and by ‘this’ I mean both how closely we are woven into the fabric of the Cosmos, and how what we see as obligations may really be opportunities to bring, somehow, more of ourselves forward. It’s an invitation to the Universal party, the one we signed up for when we commited to being here. It may, in the end, be a call to be more genuine, to refuse to hide parts of ourselves (and we hide our talents as much as we hide what we may be ashamed of, because our abilities don’t agree with our tattered and Self-imposed, socially driven image of how we think we should be–and that amounts to rejecting ourselves, and so rejecting the flow that’s offered–and my answer to that is, who do we think we are, to judge ourselves so?)

This is a very positive eclipse pattern–so now you may be wondering about that trine I mentioned that spells trouble–and that is, the eclipse sits at the midpoint of the Sedna trine to Mars/ Vesta. This means both will be equally and strongly stimulated, and that implies we may not see (Sedna) how we may be prone to treat both our actions and our ego as sacred (Mars/ Vesta). It’s easy (the trine) to not see our own motives and aims–and the eclipse, which prompts us to action most genuine to ourselves, calls for that action to be in line with our talents and roles. A balancing act, to be sure–but one that must go forward, as the Cardinal placement of the eclipse insists we must act–and this influence will continue for six months, through to the next eclipse set.

More on the eclipse can be found here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ Thanks!

14 June 2010: Feasibility of a Dream

13 Sunday Jun 2010

≈ Comments Off on 14 June 2010: Feasibility of a Dream

Tags

astrology, Finger of God, Jo Madeleine Moore, Matthew Currie, Moon in Cancer, Moon in Leo, My Daily Astrology Diary, the Magazine, Venus in Leo

First thing, let’s talk about the Finger of God made by Venus late in Cancer sextile Saturn, both quincunx Neptune. This prompts some dreaming, and shows us the way to make it happen. Take notes and tuck them away–you’ll go through some emotional revelations for the day that will give you perspective, and by late evening PDT you’ll have a full picture on whether making this dream a reality is really something both feasible and desirable at a personal level.

Venus slips into Leo (1:50 AM PDT) and breathes a sigh of relief; she loves to coddle, nurture those she loves, and relate emotionally–but oh, to be in a sign where Venus can think about herself, that’s heaven! The Cancer Moon trails behind, and the mood may be a little lonely–I was just following love, it was here a minute ago–and the Moon looks around and finds nothing with which to commune. Finally the 7-8 AM hour PDT sees the Moon sextile Sedna, quickly followed by a quincunx to Earth, and our unsureness about how we feel makes us question our circumstances. Rather than being too concerned with the literal situation, we might want to ask ourselves if our material surroundings are really nurturing for us–the answer will be information we can use.

But let’s take a moment for Venus. At 00 she trines the Jupiter/ Uranus conjunction and a quincunx to Chiron. Today may light up our Venus opportunities, showing us how and where to expand, bring forward our originality, and perhaps to create a relationship with the group. The reward available to us with the Jupiter/ Uranus meeting may be a combination of matters of the Houses these rule in the natal chart, plus an infusion of energy to the House where Venus is now; the only adjustment we’ll need to make will be taking the time not to hurt ourselves or others, and with some luck, we may be offered a way to actually heal what hurts. Examination of the possibilities ahead of time will help us see them when they show themselves; we’ll know these are important and so put our time and attention to expanding their effect as much as possible.

By the 5 PM hour PDT the Moon makes her final aspects while in Cancer: a Finger of God with a base of Ceres and Neptune. In this instance we could get one of several combinations finding an outlet through the emotions, or that can be dealt with through the intuition: nature may co-operate with imagination to create something moving; negotiation could work it out with ideals and allow emotional expression that may have been stopped up before; the maternal may indulge in fantasy that allows some emotional succor; something along these lines will come forward, then go in an unanticipated direction, as the Moon enters the Void, at 6:40 PM PDT.

The Moon enters Leo at 8:54 PM PDT on the 14th, and immediately conjuncts Venus, trines Uranus/ Jupiter, and quincunxes Chiron. This likely allows the emotional reactions to the day’s Venusian revelations to come forward. We’ll see how we feel about what’s offered, and what needs to change; we’ll understand just how possible that ideal, dream, or fantasy we considered is, and we can take out those notes we took, and go forward.

18 May 2010: A Fleeting Grand Trine

Grand Trine, Moon in Cancer, My Daily Astrology Diary

Though I already wrote about the general trend for today (please scroll down for the scoop) I wanted to mention a Grand Trine in effect for a few hours, in Water:  Cancer Moon, Uranus/ Jupiter conjunction in Pisces, and Earth in Scorpio. Emotions (or the emotional subtext of any situation) may run extremely high through no later than 3 PM PDT. The suggestion is that we’ll need to balance our needs and those items we intuit (as intuition will be in overdrive, and perhaps too responsive to the atmosphere) with group and social standards, the need to break away from convention, accepted ‘Higher Thought,’ and the material reality of any situation–and if we’re not hyper-aware, we may let the emotions run away with the situation, at least for a few hours. A brief Void begins at 1:36 PM PDT.

Personally, I’m on my way to the dentist–for something I went in for last week, when he did everything but take care of my complaint. It’s a little like I took my car in for a steering problem, and they washed, waxed, and detailed it without fixing the original difficulty–and I feel myself ready to be upset over it! So, wish me luck and restraint–

Get your Forecast for May, June, and July, and so much more, here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ Purchase comes with a free mini-reading on your personal Ceres placement–but please note (and I hate to be a hardass about it), ONLY those who buy this issue of the journal are eligible for the reading. 17-18 May 2010: Emotional Window to the Soul

16 Sunday May 2010

Moon, Moon in Cancer, My Daily Astrology Diary, the Magazine

I chose only two days in May to emphasize specifically in the May forecast in ECLIPSE, and the 19th was one of them, with certain effects beginning today, the 17th. I found the 19th to be emblematic of the entire month, and a focal point for all that’s in play right now–and I don’t repeat myself (at least, not on purpose) so what you’ll see here on the blog are more general observations, primarily of the Moon conditions, which of course acts as the symbol giving us an emotional window into the Soul. Let’s start with the Cancer Moon’s trine to Pallas, around 2 AM PDT.

Harmonious contact between the Cancer Moon and Pallas suggests there is wisdom in our feelings, in empathy, and in nurturing; the emotions and intuition guide us well at this point. For those of us getting our shut-eye when this occurs, we should look to the emotional impact of our dreams–this will tell us a great deal about where we’re going right, and where wrong.

Around 7 AM PDT on the 17th the Moon comes within range of conjunction to the South Node and a square to Zeus. For those who want to free themselves from memory (and real-life) replays of power imbalances, ambitions denied or contested, or the emotional playback of their own course altered by the Will of another, this aspect will only make it worse. Re-living the conditions that made you miserable has a purpose, however, and that is to build your own Will and ambition to the point where you will take charge of your own destiny and express your own ambitions and wants. Those are big concepts that can only be reached by a willingness to be truly responsible at the everyday level for ourselves–and even the most accomplished (or Willful) among us may feel a twinge that pushes us in a better, more honest, and certainly less miserable, direction, because inevitably, everyone has an experience of our wants, and what seems to be our path, denied.

By about 10 PM the Moon sextiles Sedna, and we may feel emotionally bereft. After dealing with our ‘power unpleasantness flashback’ likely all afternoon, we may find ourselves not so much drained as empty of feeling–the distinction being that one brings with it a sense of weariness, while a feeling of emptiness is just that–no emotion to speak of. This is simply a safety mechanism to protect one from whatever harshness came forward as the Moon joined the ongoing Zeus/ Nodes T-square. Reliving our past upsets was bad enough, but now we feel we need a vacation from present stresses, as well–and this aspect gives it, if only for a few hours.

We hit the emotional trifecta around 9 AM on the 18th, and this lasts through the Moon’s entry into Leo at 2:06 PM PDT, as in some ways this is the perfect emotional build-up to the wallop of the 19th. The Moon sits at the midpoint of Venus/ Vesta, sextiles Saturn, makes a Grand Trine with Earth and Uranus/ Jupiter, sextiles the Sun, and quincunxes Neptune. We spend a large chunk of the day in emotional high-gear, as we are required, in a rather dramatic and serious way, to make choices based on our most important values, to accept change and growth according to what the group dictates, and to mold ideals and goals to the circumstances presented. Circumstances under these influences can ask us to be very different, and to change our aims, from the way we believe we should be, and this will be especially challenging for those not dealing with major Uranian upset at this time (those who are have a whole ‘nother thing going on–again, already covered in ECLIPSE). Dealing with this late May time period, as Uranus comes to the Aries point, will be different for each of us–but a challenge for all of us.

If you like what you see here on the blog, you’ll love ECLIPSE, with three months of Forecasts, details about Chiron into Pisces, Uranus into Aries, and ‘What You Won’t See on the Blog’ for New and Full Moons–also articles on Ceres, synastry, the Sun/ Earth axis as Soul and Material Purpose indicators, a bonus re-print on Kurt Cobain’s mysterious stomach ailment, and much more, including general requirements if you’d like to get a paid gig in ECLIPSE! More and more I’ll be keying the journal and the blog to complement each other, including offering free services to each journal purchaser (this time: an analysis of Ceres in your natal chart)–and that means that accessing the blog, buying the journal, and taking advantage of services offered will be like having your own personal astrologer–for only $2.95! Have a drink {{PD-Art}} by A. Bronzino 1543-45

Around 10 AM PDT we’re snapped out of our revery surrounding the past ( the previous Moon conjunct South Node aspect) by some good advice, sound guidance, and/or the need to apply our smarts to getting business done (Moon trine Pallas)–but it all still feels very emotional, as the trine takes place Water sign to Water sign. With the mental faculties down (or at least modestly fuzzed) by the retrograde, feelings may appear to be bigger in our emotional rear-view mirrors than they actually are, especially those connected to the past–and that means we may be over reactive. Awareness of our tendency to exaggerate the emotional element should be enough to keep us from problems, however.

We cruise along on this Water to Water contact until around 5 PM PDT, when we see a sextile to Sedna and a trine to Jupiter, the latter of which completes a loose Grand Trine in Water. The problem here is twofold: 1) emotions and emotional perceptions flow very smoothly; the feelings flow into the social role and interactions, and they access what’s wise–sounds good, right? And it can be. except for 2) the fact that Sedna has wiggled in there, suggesting that we will not in any form see this dynamic at work–and that means it’s susceptible to unconscious influences, and to tipping our own unconscious inclinations to everyone else. There’s nowhere to hide during this effect, I’m afraid; we will reveal ourselves to others, they to us, and once again the best we can do is be scrupulously honest–if we have nothing to hide, there’s nothing to fear.

By midnight Pacific the Cancer Moon sextiles Taurean Venus, who, I suspect, may not have been receiving her total due of late, simply because we’ve all had so much on our agendas that there’s been little time for love or relationships–clear out a spot on your calendar to coincide with this aspect, and give the lady what she needs–she’ll be generous with you in return.

By 6 AM on the 21st the Moon will trine Uranus and quincunx Neptune, followed swiftly by a sextile to Saturn, the final aspect for this pass through Cancer. The effect may be a desire to blend with or work along with the group that requires some adjustment to either our ideals or our fantasies of what this experience will be like. With Saturn at 29 degrees, expect a bit of emotional distress, and a very short Void. The Moon enters Leo at 8:41 AM PDT on the 21st.

Fist of God, Moon, Moon in Cancer, My Daily Astrology Diary

West Coasters start the day (and everyone else meets this at various points in their routine) with a, what’s this? opposition of the sensitive Moon newly sojourning in Cancer and the Ceres and Pluto tag team in Capricorn. Today, at least through about 3 PM Pacific, may feel like one or the other of those two formidable forces is pulling no punches emotionally–and it will likely feel like it’s all coming from the outside, as if the powerful, authorities, the secret, the elements, and/ or Mom will be facing off with us directly. For those highly sensitized to Moon energies, it may feel like reality (Capricorn) is out to destroy us (Pluto); for those who are able to take it less personally (just about everyone else), it could feel more like a challenge–and one we’re ready to rise to.

A sneaky Fist of God (sneaky because the sucker punch it delivers comes disguised as the same old same old of Chiron/ Neptune) made up of the aforementioned conjunction of the great deluder and the sultan of hurt, sesquiquadrate the South node and Zeus, points to the real source of upset for today; though we feel like it’s power struggles that are the problem, it may actually be power struggles and old hurts from the past (South node). Our spirits, our imaginations (Neptune) bring them to life, and we are loathe to let them go, if only because it helps us make sense of the present.

It isn’t until about 1 AM PDT on the 20th that we move on emotionally to wanting to express, to communicate, but may be struggling with our own Will and ambitions (sextile to retro Merc and square to Zeus). Our goals and wants could feel to us like they’re requiring we modify communications, but we really aren’t able to articulate things right now, and the mind is searching for a reason that describes the difficulty. What we actually need to do is stop trying to formulate any specific messages right now; we are better off just feeling (and if possible, leaving those impulses as pure as possible, not patted into words or even concepts).

By 5 AM PDT the Cancer Moon conjuncts the South Node, and we have a direct pipeline to the past–and this means we have a direct line to intuit the lessons of the past and bring them forward to aid with the now.
