1:30 PM PDT and the Moon opposes Saturn; either we put on the brakes ourselves, or someone does it for us. Saturn is virtually at a standstill in prep for direction on June 12th, making it feel like we’re hitting a brick wall. The intuition can’t seem to get around it, and the emotional perceptions feel frustrated by the unfeeling nature of the Saturnian block: rules, time, authority, all just exist, in this instance, and we are lucky if we realize that the way out is to follow the Will. That’s rarely an appropriate answer, but this time, it works.

There’s a Void that lasts through 5:36 PM PDT when the Moon enters Aries; until then, know that things are unlikely to go as anticipated and unexpected events, no-shows, and disinterest will be the order of the day. A Void Pisces Moon is about as void-y as we can get, with distraction, dreaming, and chillin’ almost unavoidable–might as well relax~

Here are the two most exciting Lunar periods for the 25th; since one is very early, I thought I should publish early, so you can take full advantage of it.

3 AM is the Moon’s sextile to Venus; Venus is in her dignity (a sign she rules) and the Moon is in the sign of Venus’ exaltation–is this meaningful? Perhaps only in that the energies are especially open to each other; the flow of emotional perceptions and intuition keyed to the Collective, the Universe, and the creative depths (Pisces) moves easily into relationship matters, the attaining of assets, especially those that comfort (Taurus), and into artistic endeavors, particularly those of an artisanal or crafts nature. This is the energy US East Coasters and Midwesterners start their day with, doubling the effect and allowing them to extend the effect; they ‘carry it with them,’ so to speak, as the energy that launches our day can linger, influencing our mentality and approach. Poor West Coasters! This happens when most are sleeping–but early risers catch the tail end and ride it out. A beautiful opportunity–make the most of it.

1 PM Pacific the Moon conjuncts Ceres in Pisces, bringing two strong female symbols together. Intensely felt intuition and even stronger instincts (Ceres) are tuned to nature (Ceres) and the Collective/ Universe (Pisces). This is an almost magical window for the anima in us all; an immense knowing is possible, one where the intuition and all instincts align and can tell us anything about the natural world, or the other Beings in it, we’d like to know. Moon enters Pisces at 5:24 AM Pacific, and immediately is conjunct Neptune. What should we expect when our emotions and intuition meet the imagination, the mystical, the Collective, or lies? Obviously, it depends greatly on which of these we encounter–and this will be determined at this point by how open, honest, and above-board is our own relationship with Neptunian energies. It will be a ‘like attracts like’ encounter, with Neptune’s current presence in our life brought forward and put front and center in our perceptions. We will receive the full emotional brunt of this; the gift of this is that we can intuit precisely how to handle things, and if need be, how to change them for the better.

Post 3 PM PDT the Moon conjuncts Chiron, melding the emotions with either one’s sense of primal wound, or one’s initiative to heal–your choice. If you find yourself hurting, it  suggests you may be too attuned to your own pain–something that can only be remedied by finding something else to put your attention on, while at the same time being willing to heal the wound; together those should allow you to take specific steps to move forward, away from the hurt you may have been carrying for quite some time.

By 2:30 AM PDT the Moon is conjunct Vesta, uniting the emotional stance with those matters to which we dedicate ourselves. In Aquarius this will give an intellectual bent, and a desire to reason out some matters (passionate ones, like sex, or ones that claim the emotions, like the concept of ‘home’) that are better sensed or felt–so we can handicap ourselves by relying too much on the mind.

Things continue on in this vein until about 1:30 PM Pacific, when the Moon squares Sedna. Typically, we operate with a kind of triangulation going on all the time–but this aspect removes the emotional aspect of this, so that we send out a ‘ping’ looking for our position vis a vis the mind and any external stimuli and cannot find our place in things. It’s disorienting, as our feelings are just out of reach–as long as we stick to facts and the manipulation of physical realities, we’ll get through this period with little difficulty.

Just past 10:30 AM Pacific the Moon squares the meeting of Venus and Mars. The emotions may find conflict (probably in the form of a surprise) in realization of how two sides of the equation interact. It may be a man/ woman thing, a positive/ negative charge thing, or any one of dozens of other complementary energies that show us something that disrupts the feeling outlook. This aspect suggests we see things that contradict our current emotional beliefs concerning the relationship of the two elements, and this causes us to re-think the balance between them. It’s a chance to understand something fundamental to existence in a new light.

Just after 2 PM Pacific the Moon trines Saturn and squares Mercury. Paradoxically, it’s easy to accomplish, but difficult to formulate the plan or idea! This can lead to setting things in stone that we’re conflicted over or are unsure about. The best course under these influences is to implement things already on the table and fully vetted; new ideas or initiatives should wait for a time when the mind isn’t contradicted by the intuition and emotional outlook.

Just after 1 PM Pacific the Capricorn Moon squares Jupiter in Aries. The emotions feel they know the boundaries, and take a hard line on behavior and what’s acceptable, but Jupiter in Aries says that the social order may have the fire and fight of the individual. Independence and Willfulness meet rigid rules and boundaries; something’s got to give. Either the individual succumbs to what feels like social chaos :)  or the individual adapts their own ideas of structure and containment so that they can play off the vein of fight and energy found in the social sphere and turn it to their own use. It’s a test of adaptability, and a reminder that no matter what, one must to a certain extent bend to the larger social tide (if only to insure one’s own survival).

Void begins at 2:05 PM Pacific. Take it easy, don’t push. The Moon enters Aquarius at 7:31 PM PDT, trining the Gemini Sun, also at 00. A Sun/ Moon trine offers us a generally harmonious atmosphere, if we can embrace the prevailing element, in this case, Air. Reasoning and mental activity are supported, and the intuitive inclination of the Aquarian Moon will be at your disposal; just be sure that you’re intuiting and not just thinking, a common mistake with this combo.

Just prior to 1:30 AM PDT of the 20th the Capricorn Moon conjuncts Pluto. Remember, the Moon gives off no light of its own; it is merely reflecting that of the Sun. We should keep this in mind for the duration of this aspect (and also recall, the influence of these Lunar aspects can range a few hours either side of the time mentioned here, as here the aspects are listed close to exact). The depths, the secrets, the mysteries solved, the hidden matters revealed, the changes wrought will be seen immediately in the context of the emotional effect (or toll) they’ll have, and this may be observed largely through watching the reactions of others (the reflected light). We can learn a great deal about our world and those who people it during this aspect.

2 PM the Moon trines Juno; we find our empowerment, probably by following the emotional or intuitive prompt. This can be a huge boost to our confidence; note that the effective arena is the material, the ‘real world’ (trine in Earth).

The Moon enters gentle Capricorn at 1:16 PM PDT of the 19th, and immediately sextiles Neptune. Especially if we’ve experienced the Void as something vacant or chaotic, this aspect could slam us back to Earth and leave us generally confused and ‘out of it.’ Those who don’t find the Void troublesome (and this because of their well-balanced identity/ emo nature) will be inspired, creatively or spiritually (is there really a difference? I think not), though for those inclined to fudge the truth with themselves or others (and of course, we can’t lie to others without telling ourselves a lie, somehow) this could point to a very unfortunate event, wherein they embrace a fantasy, delusion, or deliberate lie as the basis for a whole series of actions. It’s the moment in which they may seek to justify taking a particular course that they already know is not really meant for them. Don’t let this be you, dear reader!

Through the 18th the Moon makes a handful of sextiles, nothing of real influence. It isn’t until 6 PM Pacific that the Moon makes significant contact, a square to Ceres; this, though, may be monumental. The emotions and/ or intuition are faced with a very strong authority, perhaps maternal, perhaps something resulting from previous negotiations, or maybe Mother Nature Herself. It seems our emotional needs are at odds with something that is essentially a fact of life (or at least, a fact of our lives!) This may be something of a shock; the Ceres energy in this equation is Piscean, and so seems to be everywhere and contain everything–we can end up feeling we’ve been left out of the Collective (which of course can’t happen–but these are feelings!) We need to be very clear about the rights of this Ceres-figure–is the disputed territory actually Hers to control, or is She overstepping Her bounds? Determine this and you’ll know how to behave in this situation.
