Are you familiar with that Carly Simon song, ‘Anticipation’? This year for you, dear Sag, that may be your theme: “It’s makin’ me wait, it’s keepin’ me way-ay-aitin'”. Nobody wants to hear they’ll be spending a year with an activity level equivalent to waiting in line–but that may be exactly what you have to do. Here’s the up side, though: you are totally, one-hundred percent, in charge of your world and what changes in it–even if you don’t believe that, and even if some change comes about through crisis or the crumbling of your security or life structures. Now it sounds serious, right? And it also likely sounds a lot more like your typical day-to-day events–and that should make you think. This may be a year, dear Sagittarius, spent more in quiet contemplation of yourself and the road you will take than it will be a year of activity; the biggest changes are likely to come in relationships and in the area of assets and earnings–but it will still feel as if the real activity is internal. Is fear ever justified? It is if it moves us to do what we need to do. The reality picture may take on the dimensions of an ongoing crisis this coming Solar year, dear Sagittarius, and the most important thing you need to know about that is: that crisis doesn’t belong to you. 14 December is a day for shake-ups, and what occurs not only changes the basic lay of the land as an earthquake will (permanently, though it may seem more like temporary upheaval and shock in the moment), it also brings those things and situations we have been actively attracting into our reality picture—and all these changes tell us where and how we need to take action, as well as outlining the ways we might want to modify things, especially our surroundings or material arrangements. Are our modification ideas a good thing? Maybe not; even though things may go in a direction we don’t necessarily prefer, we need to consider that what appears, evolves, or results right now is really a statement of our interactive relationship with the Universe—so if it isn’t what you’d like/ hoped for/ dreamed of, you can be sure that re-arranging material matters won’t, in the long run, really matter—only changing what we’re putting out there will. We are disseminating through the psyche and our own ‘vibe’ who and what we truly are—those are the only things we control with any certainty, even as only Soul-deep changes will make for major, definitive changes to the life. Is it just me, or are you having an emotional showdown with yourself, dear Sagittarius? I’m hearing cries of ‘Now or never!’ and vows that this year you simply must know, decide, commit. That’s a lot of pressure to put on yourself, and may actually divert your energy and attention away from your areas of real opportunity, represented in the natal chart by the matters of the House ruled by Jupiter and the matters of the House through which Jupiter is now traveling. These are areas that should open to you like a clam being steamed in white wine and herbs: easily, delicately, with little effort on your part, and if you put your attention here, you’ll have something to savor by your next birthday. Hints for success: respect both relationships and your money–don’t throw either away or take them for granted–and choose/ act on only those things you truly understand–otherwise you could end up going in a much less positive direction.
