Dear Capricorn, this year for you it’s all about Self-expression, all about empowerment, all about drilling down to your most original and unique characteristics and identity, and then seeing what you can make of it, and gain from it, and all of this is done with an eye to cutting away the unnecessary from the past and shaping the future. You will be very focused on yourself–and that’s exactly what you should do at this time–don’t let anyone guilt you about your need to concentrate on your goals and desires right now. Through to your next birthday you must shape what’s to come; be as aware as you possibly can that much of what is pushing you now is a combination of instinct/ buried beliefs and memories, and those things that are active in your personality right now but that you aren’t able to observe–and it’s these latter you must watch out for. Others can aid you; be a keen observer of the reactions and remarks of others that surprise you–these will be key to gaining perspective on those qualities that reside in your ‘blind spot’. You are now and through this coming year, dear Capricorn, working out and working toward fulfilling your ambitions and desires; we’re all on this track, for the most part, but for you this is a period dedicated to getting plans in order and setting them in motion, and specifically attending to those obstacles to getting what you want so that they don’t pop up again. You are creating a scenario for yourself wherein you can take that next step unencumbered by what you don’t need or want; you are freeing yourself so that you may then turn around and dedicate your life energies to exactly what you value. It’s a time of transition, when you are creating a world around you that reflects precisely the internal you. Will you spend this coming year on wheels, dear Capricorn, or is that just my imagination? It seems like you’ll be on the move, roller-coastering or roller-blading, or at least so much in motion, literally and figuratively, that you may not see a moments peace. If you’re a more energetic Cappy, you may enjoy it, but inevitably there will come a point when there’s too much chaos, and too many others acting in unpredictable ways, for you to be comfortable–and that’s when you have to ask whether you’re projecting, and if the unpredictable, undependable, unreliable one isn’t really you. You have the tendency to enjoy stirring things up, and then suddenly deciding that everyone else needs to sit down and listen; it turns out this year, through to your next birthday, you may get a dose of your own medicine. That’s not a bad thing; it’s actually designed to get you out of a rut that you’ve convinced yourself is a super-highway. You’ll be required to set aside the coaster or blades and step into a Ferrari, and the bonus is you’ll find out what traveling at high speed really is. Your biggest challenge this coming Solar year, through to your next birthday, dear Capricorn, may be in finding some kind of balance between being unique and being accepted by the group. You may be strongly inclined to go your own way, to act as much on impulse as possible, to invent and innovate in a way that puts you way ahead of your peers, to indulge every little whim of the Self–and yet, you’ll quickly find that much of this at all leads to isolation, rejection based in being seen as erratic, and jeopardizes your standing within the group. What’s a goat, just trying to be the best goat possible, to do? In your case, you need to sort through those impulses to separate the true-to-the-Soul creative choices from those that are simply rebellions against the standards and constraints of others. At this time it’s very important you feel free; and it’s just as important that you find a way to be completely yourself, completely unique, and yet still play a vital part in group efforts and the social circle. Part of what you may have been missing is that a positive manifestation of your most unique qualities and talents needs to take place where others can see it, so alienating your audience is the last thing you should do–and if others are allowed to feel a part of your most original expressions, they’ll support just about anything you propose. It looks like you may be feeling unloved this coming Solar year, through to your next birthday, dear Capricorn, and may compensate with physical pleasures and material goods. Now, please notice, I didn’t say you were unlovable–no no no–I said you will be feeling unloved, but that’s your fault–yes it is! Here’s why: when we turn our vision toward ourselves and fix on something we believe we don’t have, we are shut off from the rest of the world–in this case, we can’t feel, see, or experience that we are loved by others. That means your job this year, Cappy, should you choose to accept it, is to give up the idea that you can see what you’re receiving from those around you by looking at yourself. Only by being willing to look around you, see, and acknowledge the bounty others are offering (including some excellent empowerment options for you, possibly ones that will change or boost your status) will you be able to make the most of your upcoming year. Dear Capricorn, do you feel like your support system as been dismantled, and that all the wisdom you’ve acquired through the years is now somehow invalid? Don’t worry, this is much less about things falling apart through incompetence or neglect (meaning, it’s not your fault) and much more about the kind of boundaries and structures that need to fall away so that deep, real, permanent, and profound change can take place in your life. This change is likely to involve major healing of wounds, and/ or the discovery of unique skills, things you may have suspected you could be good at, or things you never knew you had the facility for, but are gifted with. The time you’ll spend this Solar year, on the way toward your next birthday, will mostly be spent divesting yourself (willingly or not) of things that won’t work for you anymore, once change takes hold; just trust that your Higher Self is guiding things, and that what’s coming will re-make your life in a positive and profound way. To say this will be a creative year for you, dear Capricorn, is an understatement; the coming 12 months, through to your next birthday, may be seminal in terms of bringing what the Soul dreams into reality. Of course, that takes a different form for each individual born on this date, but you can find some hints: matters of the Houses where natal Neptune, natal Sun, and transiting Neptune all sit will figure in; look for biggest results keyed to the House where your natal Earth is posited (Earth is found directly opposite the Sun in all charts); and watch the role of the emotions in making these dreams come true–it will play a major part in motivating and inspiring you.
