From ECLIPSE:

30 September we may enjoy some unusual (maybe even once-in-a-lifetime) chances today that carry great potential for success, and our judgment is excellent–the one thing standing in our way may be our belief that a certain element of the past is inhibiting us. Get beyond this and the opportunities for original Self-expression, academic achievement, and creative innovation and invention are limitless. (Uranus trine Pallas, Sun quincunx the South Node)

And I would add this:

Oh yes, and there’s a tense Cardinal T (Sun, Earth-Uranus, Pluto) that creating a sort of stand-off mentality, a ‘destroy to win’ mode of action. Power struggles are verboten for those who actually want to accomplish–but this is all so obvious, really.

From the current issue of ECLIPSE:

28 September our dreams or delusions may be challenged by the social sphere or by our own need to expand or reach out; either way, we may end up defending those Neptunian constructs, but before you do, ask yourself if it might not be better to just let them go–it comes down to whether you are truly benefiting from them, or whether they are running on sheer Willpower or ego–if the latter, let them go and move on. The most positive thing we can do will be to think about how ‘natural’ that dream is to our sense of who we are.

The Moon’s Void begins at 12:32 AM of the 29th; the Moon enters Leo at 12:58 AM PDT. And at 8 PM PDT of the 29th the Moon conjuncts Pallas, squares Saturn, trines Uranus, and forms the apex (with Pallas) to a Finger of God with base of Pluto-Chiron. This is about recognizing reality and being responsive enough to it (through innovation, originality, or spontaneity) to make healing changes that are both smart and emotionally empowering; these changes might also open the intuitive channels and ‘let the signal through’. A huge opportunity to ‘tune in’ and get a lot right.

I loved this, at An Upturned Soul

9 AM PDT the Cancer Moon squares Uranus, bringing forward conflict over our uniqueness or our insistence on being separate from the crowd. Don’t acquiesce entirely, but do note where and in what way others object to your individuality–this may signal spots of true contention, for the future. 4 PM Pacific the Moon sextiles Ceres. Feeling strong, and our minds are in concert with our emotions, for good or ill. 7 PM PDT the Moon squares Zeus. We come up against a strong-willed entity, or our own ambitions cause trouble for us. Smooth it out through action (Cardinal placements)

‘Devilish Wind’ Masasumi Mafu 1853 {{PD-Japan-old photo}}

Today’s image is the wind. I know! We can’t see that, we can only see its effects–and that’s really the point, there will be currents, unseen and intangible, that we can both be informed by and the effects of which we can use to our advantage–if only we can pause and accept that what we’re sensing is valid and should be acted upon. This calls on us to put aside mind chatter and distraction in order to ‘receive’ the info, and to trust ourselves–without that Self-acceptance we may get the information, but could be too cautious or conflicted to act on it.

Today, examine what didn’t work, but don’t set up mental camp there. ‘The View from Camp Grove, Yosemite’ by Carleton E. Watkins 1861 {{PD}}

25 September communications are better (than yesterday), though somehow unavoidably hurtful–it’s like everywhere the mind goes has been sown with sharp reminders of our own weaknesses or unfulfilled wants. Use skills to the utmost in delivering your own message–this is no time to be sloppy. Our attention is on what hasn’t worked, what isn’t true, and what’s not creative. Examine for a while, but don’t set up camp–there’s only so much we can learn from failed efforts. (Mercury sesquiquadrate Chiron, Sun quincunx Neptune)

Get it all here. Hurry! Rates go up 1 October, but if you order now, you keep the current low rate for as long as you subscribe with no break in service!

The Mystic Rectangle of the Autumnal Equinox 22 September 2013

Tomorrow we experience the Autumnal Equinox (Spring Equinox for our Southern hemisphere friends), which features both a Mystic Rectangle and a Kite. Below I talk a little about the Mystic Rectangle, from an article in ECLIPSE.

The Mystic Rectangle is formed by Ceres, NN-Saturn-Venus, Chiron, and SN with, at the equinox moment, the Taurus Moon. The Mystic Rectangle itself suggests that the involved energies can be utilized especially effectively, working in concert in a way that provides an almost magical amplification of potentials. In this case, we are given a formula for effective use of power to manifest a pleasant reality, reward, Love, or all three, and our use of this formula is Path-determining. What’s the key to unlock this fantastic result? The willingness to allow healing. It sounds so easy, and I’m sure some people would answer with, ‘Who wouldn’t allow healing?’ Quite a few of us, it seems.

Think of all the situations, the little things, the lingering resentments, the occasions big and small that aggrieve us; think of how they become a part of the interior wallpaper, of defining who we are through experience. The point is these are parts of ourselves, grumblings and judgments and injustices, that aren’t really parts of ourselves at all; they are negative feedback, thought patterns, and interactions that we are carrying around in the psyche as if they have worth, as if they say something to us or about us worth preserving–and they don’t.

At the Equinox we are offered the chance to connect with our natural Power and natural role (Ceres) in such a way that we can heal (by ‘dissolving’, a Chiron in Pisces remedy) those things that needn’t cast shadows on the spirit, and that do so now only because we allow it.

If you like what you see here, please consider subscribing; prices go up October 1st.

'A Witches Sabbath' by Cornelis Saftleven c1650 {{PD}} Painted back when witches were depicted as bad, this illustrates the fear stirred in some by the powerful essence of Woman

‘A Witches Sabbath’ by Cornelis Saftleven c1650 {{PD}} Painted back when witches were depicted as aligned with evil, this kind of characterization illustrates the fear stirred in some by a Woman in touch with and in command of her powerful, natural essence

For the 20th:

Saturn sextile Pluto=we may have gotten used to this, but today could remind us just how much our reality picture has really changed recently, as this aspect perfects. This assists with transformations of the material environment and in dealing with authorities, though with the latter, be wary: they may sense the personal power within you, and react as if threatened, so keep a low profile

For the 21st:

Today’s image is a small toad, one of those Australian ones that excrete hallucinogens through their skin. We need to stay in control today in most areas, but in the purely private part of our world, it might be time to ‘lick the toad’, and take a brief but totally free mini-vacation of the mind.

For the 22nd:

Mercury semi-squares Vesta, bringing a kind of dignity to communications, and more trustworthiness than usual–but also a propensity to access ‘buzz words’ in hopes of persuading, and too much feeling that one’s words or reasoning are sacred and shouldn’t be questioned. Awareness of this tendency can help us navigate communications from those too eager or unconscious to realize how one-sided they’re being.

And the 23rd:

9 AM Pacific the Taurus Moon quincunxes Mercury. We may chafe at what’s communicated, or could be uncomfortable with what we must convey. Either way, thinking of the other person (Merc in Libra) would be a smart thing to do. 1 PM PDT the Moon conjuncts Sedna. Considering what else has been going on, we may fear that stress has blanked out the emotions, that we just can’t feel any more–but the reality is we are meant to either let them go for a time, or delve deep in a meditative respite. Neither is a better response–both serve their purposes. Just don’t make emotional decisions at this time–we can make the mistake of believing that not feeling is a good spot to make dispassionate choices from, but we really need that emotional measure in order to make choices that will truly suit us. Delay decisions until we sense feeling and intuition flood back. Void begins 1:25 PM PDT; the Moon enters Gemini at 12:35 AMPDT of the 24th.

This is all from ECLIPSE; subscribe to get much, much more! Don’t wait, prices go up October 1st–

The Sabians For The Pisces Full Moon 19 September 2013

‘Salida de la Luna’ Guillermo Gomez y Gil 1906 {{PD-Art}}

I’m prompted to add the Sabians for tomorrow’s Full Moon, already seen in ECLIPSE:

The Sabian for this Full Moon is, ‘The Harvest Moon Illumines a Clear Autumnal Sky’ . In this instance, we are the Moon: changeable, intuitive, reflecting the light as spirit, and the sky is, of course, the Universe. We find our place, or at least understand it a little better, illumined in our purpose and function. The Sun’s Sabian is, ‘A Group Of Aristocratic Ladies Meet Ceremonially At A Court’s Function’. This , I think, refers to the Collective Feminine, which is in some ways the ‘civilizing’ influence on the animus. The court, in this instance, is the Universe, but this time we may be referring to Sedna’s role in the Full Moon: she is the intuitive knowing of Woman, the Life-Death-Life force as it manifests in nature and is then organized (the Court, Ceremonially) to the benefit of (Wo)Man. This time it is the experience of all women (‘Aristocratic’ suggesting the nobility of feeling involved) through time that ‘lights the way’ to our understanding, and suggests that for men at this Full Moon, enlightenment will come through his experience of the women in his life, resulting in a deep balance of knowing and feeling for both sexes.

‘The Siren’ by Waterhouse {{PD_Art}} This captures all the elements of the Full Moon: male, female, and the emotional and experiential depths of both Pisces and Sedna

Full Moon in Pisces September 19th 2013 at 4:12 AM Pacific at 26 Pisces 40: ‘A Deep Balance’

With generous orbs we have a Fist of God the apex of which is the Full Moon itself; the base is made up of those old lovers/ adversaries, Venus and Mars. The only other contact the FM makes is a sextile to Sedna. The picture this brings forward concerns a conflict situation that will both have origins in and find responses in a very deep, primal knowing, a balance of man-woman/ anima-animus  energies. This is definitely sexual, in the sense that we are addressing the ‘I Am’ (Mars in Leo) in relation to the sensuality and depth of relationship (Venus in Scorpio). Sedna tells us that this is primordial, going back to origins both personal and ancestral, a story of the forming that lives somewhere deep in our DNA. This is a Full Moon of discovery, a culmination of the experience of sensation as well as the intensity of emotion, and is meant to reveal to us where we stand in the Universe. I know, that’s kind of a big statement, but it centers on our own individual sensations, reflections, ideas, and things felt physically and emotionally, sensed and intuited, that give us identity–and we’re talking from the most superficial to those things so deeply held that they can’t be articulated, only absorbed as knowing.
