My Weekend Astro Diary

I’m keeping my eye on the way Merc retro trines the North Node this weekend; it adds a miscommunication (or wish-I-could-take-it-back) factor that’s even greater than usual. Relationships are prime for hurt and misunderstanding (Venus in Libra trine Chiron and Neptune) and Jupiter at 00 Aries says we want to assert ourselves but may not have a clue as to how to inject our efforts successfully onto the social scene (watch for many ill-fated assertions of Self that seem tone-deaf to the prevailing atmosphere). So what’s a girl to do? There’s some relief in Pallas trine Earth and square Juno. This combo promises that if we’ll only follow that deepest inner wisdom we know intuitively to be correct (Pallas in Watery Scorpio) we can avoid seeking empowerment through flashy ego-means (Juno in Leo) and instead focus on material and creative interests, and/ or join in on efforts of Collective benefit (Earth in Pisces). So, have a great one (and ECLIPSE readers–there’s more weekend information both in the mag and on the Private Page, updated today!)

And a big Thank You to those who are participating here at the blog, whether through comments, ratings, ‘likes,’ and a special Thanks to ECLIPSE readers who’ve been active on the Private Page–I love it!

27-29 August 2010: Taming the Aggressive, Enjoying the Material

Moon in Aries, Moon in Taurus, My Weekend Astro Diary

What we face while we still have an Aries Moon is a series of, well, face-offs, as if the emotional state is repeatedly challenged to prove itself. This may be because an Aries Moon urges us to assert our emotions as if they’re fact–and of course, this may not sit well with others!  There’s always that tendency of the Ram to push, prod, and force the Will on others; we really can’t blame others or ourselves for being so assertive under this influence, as everything seems so urgent–but we do need to be aware of the way this influence can creep into everything.

Noonish PDT today, the 27th, the feisty Aries Moon opposes Vesta, and something in our emotional landscape is directly contradictory to our most sacred values, and/ or the home situation or the sex life. Uh-oh. This is the kind of conflict that can upset us severely and leave a seriously bad taste in our emotional mouths (please don’t ask me to locate those on a diagram!) The results of this may linger for quite a while and may even alter our perspective for good. By 4:30 PM PDT the Moon forms a T-square with the Nodal axis, creating (or perhaps solidifying) a need to sort out the attitude and the way it may affect the life direction.

8:30 PM or so PDT the Moon opposes Zeus and trines Juno, drawing us into the possibility of a very interesting power struggle: we are confronted by naked ambition or desires, and we access our core goddess empowerment (or we access power via status or our partnerships) and use that, rather than our puny egos or emotions, to answer this challenge.

By 4:30 AM PDT on Saturday the 28th the Moon quincunxes retrograde Mercury, and we may be wondering why we (or another) had to open that (emotional!) mouth and let it all out. Just a reminder, don’t confuse the subjective and the objective by obscuring fact with emotion.

8 AM PDT and the Moon opposes Mars–is there a way to avoid discord with others today? I don’t know, but what is sure is that relationships will undergo a trial where egos, Wills, and emotions are under scrutiny (even attack) and on edge. We think we’re asserting our rights and we’re really trampling on others; we think we’re assisting and we’re really crushing; we think the other guy is punching us, and it’s just our own aggression bounced back at us. Just take care to be scrupulously honest in assessing your own Aries expressions.

The period to watch occurs a few hours either side of 2 PM Pacific, when the Aries Moon trines Ceres and opposes Venus. Here we find our ‘power footing’ even as we find our values and relationships under stress. Mother Nature, instincts, and knowing our power territories (and what areas are not in our province) all help us see and assess the standards we will meet at this time. This is one of those times when we create a mini-clean slate based on recent revelations and experiences.

We finish off the Aries Moon in the wee hours of Sunday, Pacific time, on the 29th. The Moon sextiles Neptune (confusion, both of emotions and of where aggression is actually coming from), and then sextiles Chiron (3 AM-ish); our reaction to this latter aspect shows quite clearly how we are truly reacting to recent events (rather than simply supporting what we tell ourselves is our reaction). We either cast ourselves as victims or empowered (though injured, and therefore empathetic) agents of healing–it’s that straightforward.

Void begins at 3:53 AM PDT and ends with the Moon’s entry into Taurus at 7:35 AM PDT on the 29th. Oooh Taurus! When the Moon is here the emotional and intuitive outlooks key to the sensual, and material, the appetites and sensations involved with those purely earthly experiences of occupying a human body. This is the time for a micro-vacation, a session of physical pampering, savoring an excellent meal, drinking in the beauty of the world around us. Focus in particular on enjoyment of the end of summer (or the end of winter) and what the very early beginnings of the seasonal change offers (see more about this weekend in the Summer issue of ECLIPSE, and the extra material about this weekend on the readers-only page here at the site.  Password required and found at the end of the first article in ECLIPSE), plus learn about the important influences surrounding early September, forecasts for September and October (and post-cast for August!) and articles on the 6th House, the creative complex, Pluto, and much more! GET IT ALL HERE  http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/) and get access to the FULL picture, for only $4.95!

The main Lunar influences for the 29th are a trine to Pluto around 11 AM PDT (a chance to purge the emotional state–a housecleaning that will feel uncommonly good), and a 7:30 PM-ish trine to the Sun that simultaneously brings the weekend to a close and starts the week, refreshed and renewed by our attention to the material pleasures involved with being a spiritual Being having a human experience.

ECLIPSE magazine, Moon in Libra, My Daily Astrology Diary, My Weekend Astro Diary, the Magazine

It feels like the weekend doesn’t really kick off until about 1 AM PDT on the 14th as the Moon sextiles the Sun; at this hour the heavens try their best to form a Mystic Rectangle, but it’s fleeting, with the Part of Fortune as one leg–so no go, though it does offer a nebulous version of the MR’s almost magical ‘helpful’ energy. At the same point the Sun is quincunx the transiting Midheaven–will this bring an event? If it does, it may be Neptunian, a seminal moment for imagination, fantasy, or ideals brought to life (wide Neptune/ Earth conjunction as another leg of the MR that wasn’t). Or maybe some of us will just be busy dreaming 🙂

Uranus has returned to Pisces, though, and that may suggest what of a Neptunian nature we deal with will be surprising, probably for the fact that we thought we’d already ‘imagined’ this out, visualized an end picture or point, or otherwise created a final result–but Uranus says, No, dream about this again. Look to the matters of the Houses ruled by both Uranus and Neptune for likely areas of activity, and the placements of both transiting Uranus and Neptune, as well (which may or may not be contained in these Houses) and anything they’re aspecting for a picture of what may come forward.

5 AM-ish PDT the Moon quincunxes Sedna and we may hit an emotional wall, a ‘blind spot’ that limits our emotional or intuitive understanding. If you’re aware there’s something you’re missing, you can hold back on a judgment or other action that could, in the end, hurt yourself or another.

By noon PDT the Moon trines Neptune and we can become conscious of that Neptunian dream material in a way that shows us who can help our dream happen (Moon in Libra). By 2 PM the Moon is trine Chiron, and we may get a surprise, an unanticipated hurt in approaching or trying to partner with another–for a lucky few, this signals skills will be mustered very effectively in service of the dream (or, for a very unlucky few, as slave to the fantasy).

The Libra Moon quincunxes Uranus around 4, catching some emotional part of us off-guard, and the Void begins at 5:25 PM PDT and ends at 5:26! The Scorpio Moon will, during the evening for Pacific zoners, quincunx Jupiter and sextile Pluto–along with its natural tendency to encourage depth, intensity, and attention to the darkness, this seems a recipe for a little bit of bad judgment going a long, possibly destructive, way. Take care.

More details for this weekend, and the months to come, can be found here  http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/ and the last page of the article on creativity gives the password for a private page just for ECLIPSE readers here at the site, where you can read more articles, take polls, and ask questions about your own chart in the comments section (I’ll draw charts privately and remove all identifying data when I answer). Thank you, and enjoy your weekend!

Special Note: I do like the way Venus is chasing Mars, for a change. It’s as if he’s saying, That’s it, girl, work for it! She catches him, one way or another, on the 19th.

5-10 August 2010: The Copper Sun

astrology, My Daily Astrology Diary, My Weekend Astro Diary, Venus

We’re hitting the Wayback machine first (not that internet-y storage device, but the real Wayback), so come along, Sherman (that makes me Mr. Peabody!) while we look back to last Sunday, at a phenomenon that continues in a much less distinct way right now. The Sun gave off the most unreal light, a bright copper that gave an eclipse-like quality to the air even at midday. Cars beneath it shone like they were under yellow streetlamps and it gave an apocalyptic air to everything; this was the Sun we would have as it gasped and died, the pre-nova burn that made it at once radiate more solar energy but somehow shine less brightly. Of course, the transiting Leo Sun was touching my natal Uranus on the 1st and 2nd, and we always feel a little bit freaky when our own uniqueness is so emphasized–so maybe it was as much me as the Sun.

The extraordinary color came from distance forest fires that sent a nasty smoke into the air–nothing supernatural, or end-of-world-y, about it. But it did kick off a period that I think focuses on Venus, and lasts through the 9th, and that may have a real other-worldliness about it. It concerns relationships, love, assets, talents, and yes, those 2nd House and 7th House things with which Venus is associated–but it most strongly seems to resonate on the personal assessment level: what are my talents? what is my worth? how am I sharing this? what’s really important to me? Astrologically, this may reflect Venus’ path at semi-square to the transiting Sun; it’s the most at odds the Venus energy can ever be to the source of life, and so may bring forward enough dissonance for asset and attitude reflection.

It started with Venus within conjunction range of Vesta on Sunday; anything contacting Vesta feels sacred, but Vesta also calls us to assess what really is sacred to us at the most profound level. This contact kicked off a Venus bonanza that last through the 10th. Today, the 5th, it all gets magnified, amped up by Venus’ exact contact to Vesta at 28 Virgo, which also places the two quincunx the rough midpoint of Chiron/ Neptune=assumptions about both wounds and skills are called forward and measured against fantasy, imaginings, ideals, and creative energy. We see the true worth of our Chiron/ Neptune complex (for we all have one, at this point, after our long trudge with these energies together, and this is all about our wounds, our talents, and how creatively they’re utilized, as well as how realistic we are in assessing them). Now we find out the worth of the complex, and we are asked to decide if it’s something we want to incorporate permanently. This is a serious issue, so pay attention, as what we choose to add to the repetoire at this point will become a prominent part of us, so don’t toy with hurt as a major player in the psyche or especially in relationships, and don’t choose a wounded persona that could eventually define you.

On the 6th Venus is strained; she’s at 29 degrees and molested by Chiron. It may be very hard to see why not to go with woundedness as a righteous part of relationship–but don’t. It’s a road paved with regret.

By the 7th Venus enters her home turf of Libra and opposes Uranus at the Aries Point; relationship and personal revelation is the result–we’ll be very surprised at the partnerships offered, at the assets shared and the companionship denied, and personal earning power and talents may also show a new result. We are in Dark of the Moon at this point, so it all may be very subtle, or something the results of which you don’t see until after the New Moon.

By the 8th our lady is conjunct Saturn, and perhaps nursing a reality-check hangover–this isn’t bad at all, it just brings the exciting possibilities of yesterday down to earth and puts them in a realistic, workable form. The 9th sees Venus oppose Jupiter–now we’re cookin’! The Venusian possibilities that were introduced, that we envisioned and then revised, are ready for action in a big way, but again, we may want to plan, and move on the New Moon.

On the 10th we get the square to Pluto that closes it all out. We can purge, change, and transform the Venusian elements of our lives to a new and much more pleasing form (Venus in pretty pretty Libra), in concert with the New Moon. This is a real opportunity to bring forward your most valuable talents and skills, to birth them along with the powerful ‘start’ energy of the New Moon–good luck!

See ECLIPSE for more detailed forecasts; I will post a New Moon forecast (pretty close to the last minute!) when I return.

I won’t be available through the 10th, and that means no comments will post (though you may make them and they’ll go up later), and no book or ECLIPSE sales will occur, though you can order and they will be sent as soon as I can get back to my computer. I’m sure I’ll miss talking to you all on a daily basis, but I’m off on my own Venusian adventure–see you on the other side!

11 July 2010: The Solar Eclipse, Your Invitation to the Party

10 Saturday Jul 2010

Moon in Cancer, My Weekend Astro Diary, Solar Eclipse, the Magazine

This Solar eclipse has an incredible assertive energy going on; it also sits at the midpoint of a trine that spells trouble; and a couple of aspects are slightly outside my strict-but-constantly-stretching boundaries ( and this may be where you start to wonder if I shouldn’t ditch the 2 degree rule altogether; in keeping the rule I’m very careful about what I consider to be an eclipse aspect, and avoid ‘kitchen sink’ syndrome).  As always, the variations are slight, and needed to see the complete eclipse picture.

The eclipse begins at 12:40 PM PDT on July 11th, as Sun and Moon conjunct at 19 Cancer 23. The assertive energies are found in the Sun/ Moon still valid conjunction to Juno–think of a power figure who gets what they want by offering nurture, or by calling on the ties they’ve already created, and this may  involve a sense of obligation, duty, or ‘I owe’–it’s the bargain this Sun/ Moon combo creates, and the sextile to Vesta/ Mars in Virgo says that there will be an accounting going on, likely of energy expended, and the one doing the counting will be prone to consider this expenditure sacred–and expect payback.

Our Sabian for the eclipse degree is ‘A Venetian Gondolier Giving a Serenade’ The gondolier is, of course, singing because it’s part of the sh0wmanship of his job; at bottom, he does a thing of beauty because he wants to get paid. That’s not to discount that he may love his role, that singing may be a joyous expression for him, and that his singing may be spontaneous, performed for any Soul within earshot. What it reminds us, though, is that life is about the flow and exchange of energy in all its forms, and that the roles we play (no matter how innate to our character or genuine to our Being) are played as part of a Universal agreement of exchange for mutual benefit–it’s a reminder that we must give what’s most true to our talents, and that we have an obligation to discover what those are. By implication there is also the idea that the farther we are from our best expression, the farther from that Universal ‘flow’ we are (and remember, flow goes both directions, not just toward you!)

Does this suggest that the hovering maternal (for this is the essence of caring) to whom we’re obligated is really the Universe? A wide quincunx of the eclipse to Ceres certainly supports this, and a sextile to Sedna further implies we just can’t see this–and by ‘this’ I mean both how closely we are woven into the fabric of the Cosmos, and how what we see as obligations may really be opportunities to bring, somehow, more of ourselves forward. It’s an invitation to the Universal party, the one we signed up for when we commited to being here. It may, in the end, be a call to be more genuine, to refuse to hide parts of ourselves (and we hide our talents as much as we hide what we may be ashamed of, because our abilities don’t agree with our tattered and Self-imposed, socially driven image of how we think we should be–and that amounts to rejecting ourselves, and so rejecting the flow that’s offered–and my answer to that is, who do we think we are, to judge ourselves so?)

This is a very positive eclipse pattern–so now you may be wondering about that trine I mentioned that spells trouble–and that is, the eclipse sits at the midpoint of the Sedna trine to Mars/ Vesta. This means both will be equally and strongly stimulated, and that implies we may not see (Sedna) how we may be prone to treat both our actions and our ego as sacred (Mars/ Vesta). It’s easy (the trine) to not see our own motives and aims–and the eclipse, which prompts us to action most genuine to ourselves, calls for that action to be in line with our talents and roles. A balancing act, to be sure–but one that must go forward, as the Cardinal placement of the eclipse insists we must act–and this influence will continue for six months, through to the next eclipse set.

More on the eclipse can be found here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ Thanks!

3-4 July 2010: Weekend Forecast-the Magnificent Magnifier

02 Friday Jul 2010

My Weekend Astro Diary, the Magazine

I see this weekend as a really volatile time (see details here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/) and as I don’t repeat myself, I’ll only add a few observations here. Of course, the blog, magazine, and Twitter comments are meant to provide a full and continually updated picture, with the mag holding major information on the biggest effects (and here’s where I want to say Thank You to those who’ve bought the magazine–you made my dream of a viable publication of my own come true!)–at only $2.95  for 3 months of forecast information, plus articles, I think it’s worth ponying up for if you really want my opinion–and if you don’t, you likely have other favorites, which makes what I say here on the blog, for free, just a little extra sauce on the pudding 🙂

So, what I would add as the way to handle the weekend energies is that anticipation is 99 percent of the game; that we don’t have to go down the rabbit hole, that in fact we’ll be able to side step the whole difficulty (or at least make our participation peripheral, at worst)–because the aspects say to me a whole lotta calamity and missteps are possible, on a personal, group, national, and global scale, and the more disengaged we remain (and I mean that in the sense of avoiding  being assertive, blindly putting our energy out there in an unconsciously pugnacious attempt to get something going). If we instead can remain genuinely neutral (and I say ‘genuinely’ because those of us riding the passive-aggressive float in this parade will be the most susceptible, vulnerable, and disaster-prone) we can ride this out with a minimum of upset.

It may not sound terribly progressive to say, “Shhh, sit down for now, and let it all go by,” but that’s been the feeling for a while now, and this weekend will be a kind of magnificent magnifier of what are already normally challenging energies (see the last few posts for a refresher, and check the magazine for material on Uranus into Aries and its retrograde, the Chiron effect, and so on), and those who can’t both physically and psychically remove themselves from the contentious fray will be caught like ants under the magnifying glass of a particularly indifferent child (probably just an Aquarius, experimenting!) Watch the Sun, the Nodes, Uranus, as they interact with your natal chart–these are the hot points. Surrender any idea that you are superior to the influences of others or your own unconscious, let go of the belief that you are impervious to attracting conflict or disaster, and recognize that, indeed, there is a lot going on in the world that could surprise you, and that might intrude upon your life, and you will be much better able to deal with whatever the Universe dishes up. And good things can happen, too–it’s just that you rarely need my help with those!

Moment of Truth: 7-9 AM PDT on the 3rd (Moon conjunct Uranus).

Today’s Link: Check this out, and get a free one-card reading-the Feral Tarot at Oculus Divinorum-an always interesting spot http://odivinorum.wordpress.com/the-feral-tarot/

Good luck, all, and in spite of my dire outlook,  enjoy your weekend!

19-20 June 2010: From Tension Comes Creativity

Moon in Libra, My Weekend Astro Diary, the Magazine

I’m thinking that we’re all feeling a little tense, possibly from the Sun moving into late Gemini, putting the thought processes into overdrive. It’s trining Neptune, and of course squaring Saturn, perhaps prompting us to meet the pressures of reality either with innovative imagination, ideals, or, less positively, with utter nonsense. We may see the two areas, the practical and the impractical, hand-in-hand today. Accept with equanimity that when we observe the contradiction in others we are just as likely carrying the same out-of whack dichotomy of purpose and delusion within ourselves. In accomodating them both we may hit it lucky and end up giving reality a wonderfully creative boost.

Pallas sextile Pluto echoes this, allowing a natural, skilled, smart, and nurturing touch that will help replace what we sweep aside with something that is truly productive and sustainable–a kind of ‘bad habit’ overhaul easily attained at present. The Libra Moon conjuncts Zeus, then creates a T-square with the Nodes, approximately 8-11:30 PM PDT, bringing forward a particularly ambitious note in relationships–one party may find themselves pressuring the other for a future plan, a commitment, or ‘results’ before they know it. No matter how pretty you dress it up, no one wants to be cornered–just something to keep in mind.

By morning of the 20th we’ve got Mars in close conjunction range of Vesta, suggesting we could act on everything from home improvement projects to that new position we’ve been wanting to try (!) to really spreading our peacock feathers and strutting. We may not take criticism well over the next couple of days, if our ego is too prominent in the equation. Let bristling be your gauge as to whether you’re ego has too large a part in the proceedings.

Sun and Earth at 29 degrees by Sunday says some stress is to be expected; the Sun is essentially trine Chiron and square Jupiter/ Uranus at this point, inviting hurt, rebellion, and ‘taking it out’ in the social sphere. Try to focus on the way Venus in Leo says, ‘Center yourself, remember why you shine’ in order to keep overreaction (the biggest danger) to a minimum.

Grand Trine of Sun, Moon, Neptune midnight-ish PDT of the 20th could bring the illumination and inspiration we’ve been looking for–make notes, write it down, sketch it out, or the bits that made it absolutely ideal could dissipate into a frustrating fog.

Between the coming eclipse set, and some high-tension aspects coming in early July, we can expect things to too easily slip off the rails. Though I’ll cover most of the main points here, at this time it’ll be the details that may make the difference;  guidance is available via the eclipse reports and July forecast in ECLIPSE http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ Your support is appreciated! And there’s no risk–I’ll be happy to refund the money of anyone who doesn’t think it’s worth it.

4-6 June 2010: Your Weekend Forecast & ‘Zoosk’? What Were They Thinking?!

Moon in Aries, Moon in Pisces, My Weekend Astro Diary, the Asteroid Zeus, the Magazine

Friday evening and Saturday for West Coasters looks like a time of rest and recovery, with a Pisces Moon through to the 11 PM hour PDT on Saturday making escape, imagination, and a sense of ease and Oneness with the Universe smoothly attained. Particularly on Friday evening, with the Moon’s trine to Venus, socializing should go very well. It’s a date night when fantasy, fun, and good feeling abound. Enjoy it! but moderate your liquids and other Piscean possibilities, as Jupiter, ancient ruler of Pisces, is in the 29th degree, urging us to overdo in every department, including our reactions and social interactions, our reaching out and the impulse to ‘educate’; with this influence, stay centered and concentrate on experiencing the moment–leave potential output for later.

Look for 10:48 PM PDT on the 5th when the Moon meets Jupiter in that 29th degree–bam! Then the Moon pops into Aries and at 11:18 PM Luna unites with Uranus exactly–and there is a shock, surprise, revelation, or rebellion in store–be on alert. This is followed at 11:28 PM PDT Saturday by Jupiter’s entry to the Aries Point, and the shift is likely to be significant. Aside from the potential for incredible shake-ups with this event cycle, there are the larger implications of Jupiter in Aries, setting our social attention and energy on the individual. I’m anticipating lots of individual initiative, people finding their feet and taking off, but I also sense that the social arena may be more than a little dog eat dog. More on Jupiter meets Uranus here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/

Have you seen this new dating service, ‘Zoosk,’ being advertised on television? I was walking through the room and heard the name, and had to turn around–were they saying ‘Zeus’? And if so, did they know what they were implying? I thought choosing a sound-alike name was a bit ominious; Zeus was not just the supreme Olympian, he was horrifyingly Self-indulgent, to the point of thoughtlessly imposing his Will (particularly his sexual interest) on others. Zeus was unfaithful and deceptive in his marital relationship, and was, in fact, a rapist. Is that what you want to date, ladies? I thought not. Read a lot more about Zeus the god and his namesake asteroid here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/eclipse-in-depth-astrology-for-the-21st-century/

The daily forecasts will probably be abbreviated for a while, as I’m trying to wrap up the Juno book, do client work, and produce the next issue of ECLIPSE. I hope you’ll all give the magazine a try; the latest issue has 50 pages of information, material on astrology in practice and theory, and forecasts for the current astro outlook, and any of you who’ve read it, your comments, thumbs up or down, or any suggestions are very welcome–let others know if it’s worth it! http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ Thanks, and have a wonderful weekend!

Moon in Capricorn, My Weekend Astro Diary, NORWAC, real life astrology

Well, I almost went to NORWAC http://www.astrologyetal.com/NORWAC/index.htm; a couple of weeks ago I was totally up for it. I was ready to contact some people, buy tickets, and socialize. It certainly would’ve been great to hear, and perhaps meet, so many people I admire, and surely there’s a lot I could’ve learned. But then I hesitated, and when I hesitate I assume that it’s some part of me that knows better, that is telling me there’s something more suited to me–and though I’m enjoying the Twitter reporting, I’m really glad I didn’t go, as my day here at home has been wonderful, and all I really did was sleep in (dreaming about teeny tiny babies the size of eensy, shiny, white-curled shells, a human spiral) and then sit in the dining room where we have a big pine table and big windows that face the gardens, where I’ve watched the smallest hummingbird I’ve ever seen, a small, black-headed finch that lives somewhere in this corner of the yard–I see him all the time, and he even goes around there when I’m there, too–and the big black crows that love to bring bread to the stone bird bath and leave soggy bits in their wake. For me all this, the choosing of what seems illogical and even unproductive, over the logical and expected, is an example of how, even though there was something before me that seemed absolutely right (going to a professional conference), following my instincts was personally the ‘right’ thing to do. I try to follow my prompts every time they come forward, and I hope you will, too–it’s one of the most useful and Soul-supporting skills I ever developed.

Maybe my morning’s experience is just symptomatic of the Capricorn Moon’s contact to Ceres, offering me a chance to connect with Mother Nature. This contact, at 2:30 PMish PDT and lasting about two hours total, also brings a trine to Vesta, suggesting to me that this was my time of worship–and that others too have a chance to meld with what’s sacred to them, to enjoy home, or sex, or deep communion–not a bad way to kick off the weekend at all!

The evening Pacific time belongs to Pluto. In Capricorn this might bring forward intense but enjoyable times, as the emotional outlook of Moon conjunct Pluto is balanced by the Cap energy. Some serious (in the best sense) progress can be made in whatever area the conjunction occurs for you. A quincunx to the Sun 3 AMish PDT on the 30th (and see excerpts from ECLIPSE, below) suggests that the evening’s events will ask for some emotional reckoning via a reality check.

Starting around 8 AM PDT we have, in quick succession, the Moon square Zeus, conjunct the North Node and opposed Venus, then trine Mercury. This sets a tone of perhaps being presented with the obstacle to our ambition (or at least, being presented with how thwarted ambitions and desires make us feel), an emotional bellwether that gives a glimpse into the direction we’re headed, and just precisely what this may cost us if we continue (or bring us as a reward), and finally we may receive information or communicate ourselves concerning the life path, our options, and what we want. Could be a seminal moment in terms of re-defining ourselves to more readily express true intents and purpose. The rest of the day is dominated by this emotional scenario; use the knowledge that’s come forward, and the intuitions that have been offered, to make the most of things.

It’s not too late! Get your forecast for June and July, including commentary on the coming eclipses, in ECLIPSE! http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ Every purchase supports this blog and my work–Thank You!
