The Moon in Libra is a lover’s Moon–but we have all these other influences crowding the edges of consciousness (Venus trine SN, Merc/NN/PL conj, Juno’s aspects, h. Zeus/ Saturn, Uranus station–outlined on the Pages Only for ECLIPSE readers) and the result may be reactionary in a hair-trigger, ‘I’m doing the best that I can!’ way that both may not be responsive to actual pressures and queries and also could bring tension to situations that otherwise wouldn’t have it! Ruler of this Moon, Venus, is at 00 Scorpio, suggesting we may sense emotional depths, secrets, and hidden facets behind everything, and this can throw the intuition off tremendously.

By 3:30 PM PST the Moon is in position as apex for a Finger of God (lasting through 8:30 PM PST) with a base of Sedna/ Jupiter. If there’s a time when we won’t know our own minds and especially our own emotions, it’s now. We may take too many cues from the social sphere, allowing others to fill in our emotional picture with their own viewpoint, or we may take other components (thoughts, fears, ideas) and plug them in where they may masquerade as our own feelings, and exaggerated ones at that! Know that the emo perceptions and intuition will be off at this point, and try to ride it out through a more objective take on things that emphasizes the rational and doesn’t make any sweeping pronouncements, gestures, or conclusions.

One of the highlights for today comes around 4:30 PM PST: the Moon will be opposed Jupiter, and Venus will have just entered Scorpio. The sense of release could be major, though for some, it may seem like everybody else is enjoying extraordinary freedoms, while the unlucky remain with sad noses pressed to the candy store glass. This is much more a matter of Self-perception than reality; we’ll all be in the same figurative boat, and that means that how we react is focused through a lens of Self-reflection–if we tend to see ourselves as victims, then we will feel left out, while if we at least see ourselves as enrolled in and playing an active part in the Universe then we’ll also see ourselves as being cut in on the expansion/ freedom franchise. With Venus now fresh in Scorpio, this could mean that part of our bounty is an actual reward–but will we see it as a reward, if it consists of something Scorpionic, a secret revealed, a hidden matter made public, a realization that research is called for, a sexual truth discovered?

Though the inclination with a Virgo Moon is to criticize the Self and others, to believe we can nit-pick our way to perfection, the first thing we must realize is that we cannot, that in fact adopting this attitude will prevent any and every bit of input that comes our way–and being fussy and ill-informed is the last thing any of us needs today! It can be a devilish placement, pushing us to be much more critical than is warranted. For the most part, I think, it’s all about Moon ruler Mercury right now, under tension and feeling pressured to perform, to do (conjunction to Mars). Merc ruler Jupiter in Pisces suggests an answer: taking a calm, accepting, and vision-oriented attitude can make the whole journey (at least today’s journey) easier.

One facet of the 19th: By the end of the day the Sun and Earth are planets of latest degree, suggesting we will be very much ‘on point’ with issues–we’ll want to take care of business, and may do some serious thinking about who we are and what we’ve surrounded ourselves with–all in harmony with the prevailing material-focused influences.

It actually stopped being sunny this morning (though it was spectacular yesterday, bright and crisp, the crowds dotted with Remembrance Day poppies–now Veteran’s Day in the US); the harbor here in Victoria is foggy and this hotel, an old dowager called ‘The Empress’ is really quiet. So I’m sending you a virtual postcard and wave, with no real astrology (but the Sun is approaching opp to Sedna, which of course means the Earth is approaching conjunct, and this may obscure the very things we’re placing our attention on–a kind of compulsion to examine something we really can’t see! So whatever your eye is drawn to over the next three or four days, know that it deserves–or needs–your input and examination, but that you are supremely unsuited to analyze that particular thing now!
