Void begins at 3:02 PM Pacific time; the Moon enters Aquarius at 11:02 PM PST, starting things off with a Lunar sextile to Uranus. Surprise! That’s really it–you’ll learn something new, shocking, of an avant garde nature, or from the group that causes a ‘Whoop!’ big or little. Your own rebellious nature may be the source of this, or it could have a competitive tone, almost academic in the way it presents someone’s (maybe even your) attempts at one-upsmanship. Roll with the punches, if at all possible.

A new issue of ECLIPSE will be out tonight, Pacific time–subscribers get it sent straight to their email, and it will be available by single copy!

From the newsletter:

The 27th Venus in Capricorn trines Jupiter in Taurus, and we will have abundance: of loving friends, of money from successful expansion efforts, of love itself, or we may be aided in getting our talents or assets out ‘on the market’ or successfully sharing them with others. Don’t forget this is a Merc retro period, so approaching all through a feeling nature, rather than a reasoning one, is the best way to process events and understand influences.

Void begins at 4:07 PM PST; Moon enters Capricorn 7:05 PM PST.

Right away we have a conjunction of the Moon and Venus, a sextile to Chiron, and a square to Uranus. Released from our previous uncertainty and worry, we are now feeling all the pressures of Capricorn (what’s my status? do I matter? what are the rules? where are the boundaries?) and they seem inseparable from our relationships and perhaps the asset situation as well. With some discipline we can draw on our most unique skills, though we should expect real conflict with the group or dealing with our own rebellious feelings–so the only source of difficulty in reality will be within, or with the group–but not in the relationships or financial situations that seem to be the source. We must work to keep it straight :)

Just a Little Essence for the Sagittarius New Moon 2011/ Solar Eclipse: ‘At Play’

'Children Playing in Autumn' Plinke pre-1915 {{PD-Art}}

In the newsletter I called today ‘The Big Day’ for November; between the aspects and the partial Solar eclipse, it just seems like it is! Here’s a little something on the Sabian for the New Moon in Sagittarius, at 10:08 PM PST at 2 Sagittarius 36:

The Sabian for this NM/Eclipse is ‘Two Men Playing Chess’ Though the influences are complex, and the potential ‘moves’ many, we must not lose sight of what this (and by ‘this,’ I mean ‘Life’) really is: a game. This symbol strongly implies that we should approach events at this juncture with a mentality that is playful and flexible enough to respond, not as if matters are of life and death, but as if they are a challenge to our adaptability, our agility, and our ability to process, discern, and choose, and all with the end of becoming ‘the winner’ (in our own game). There is also the thought that the two men can represent either two active, doing, animus stances within ourselves, so that the game is an internal one, where we hope to defeat internal obstacles, or that they represent ourselves vs an external challenge or opponent–but then, if the external is really just a reflection of the internal (no matter how it seems or feels) then it’s really the same problem, isn’t it? This suggests, then, that the NM hard aspect to Chiron illustrates exactly what may constitute our opponent–so look to the natal Chiron situation for clues as to what might arise as our dysfunction, and also as to the healing attitude we might adopt in order to reconcile the two players, after the game (after the NM period).

For the ‘full’ New Moon picture! please see the newsletter by subscription or single issue–Thanks! And to those who are celebrating, Happy Thanksgiving! And to those who are not, Happy Thursday!

Portrait of a Woman with her Daughter by Bruyn c1540 {{PD-Art}}

10 AM PST the Scorpio Moon conjuncts Juno, uniting the emotional state with empowerment needs–and either empowering us in a way that feels wonderfully whole and solid, or making us feel we are disempowered, fueling our efforts in a way that’s almost desperate. The difference is found in our emotional healthiness at the time; those who are feeling emotionally-based stress, who are insecure or in significant denial, will feel the panicky uncertainty of a kind of abandonment, of our own Cosmic lack of nurture–or rather, of our inability to accept the nurturing the Cosmos offers. If you suffer the negative reaction, let it be notice to you that something is being walled off that could actually be of great benefit to you–open up and let it in.

Just a Little Essence for Today 22 November 2011: ‘Picking the Emotional Bones’

Moon enters Scorpio at 5:58 PM PST. First aspects are a trine to Chiron and a Finger of God with base of Uranus and Earth; as well, Jupiter at just over 2 degrees Taurus sits within midpoint parameters for the Finger base and so in opposition to the Moon from the get-go. Here we may see the promise of getting to the bottom of the feeling nature if we can only get the individuality expression and the material situation to mesh–and this with the added caution that the social sphere will not be supportive of our emotional revelations or discoveries, and that we have a major potential to heal something significant in the process. The implication is that our healing may not be seen as positive by those who feed on our confusion, dysfunction, or insecurity. Do not allow the vultures to shake your confidence and pick your emotional bones! Embrace healing, even if it means looking into the reality of some less-than-loving relationship dynamics.

If you visit every day, you really should subscribe–you’ll get a lot more out of it! And if you prefer, you can now purchase single copies of ECLIPSE anytime you want; these contain the detailed forecast, articles, and more–but for the daily Lunar rundown, with each aspect of the Moon discussed, you need a subscription that allows access to the protected page, EXTRAs! and more! Thank you to my subscribers, and to everyone who is so supportive!

Just a Little Essence for Today 21 November 2011: ‘Maintaining Emotional Integrity’

4 PM PST the Libra Moon trines the South Node and conjuncts h.Zeus. We may draw the perfect ‘lesson’, information, or potential path from past experience that will help us realize our ambitions and desires in the present. Caution: if we didn’t learn what we needed to learn from the past, we might just repeat a bunch of dumb stuff.

9 PM PST the Moon quincunxes Ceres, and we’re asked to adjust our emotions to either make Mom or authorities more comfortable, to accommodate something ‘natural’, or someone may ask us to compromise our emotional state–a ‘feeling negotiation’ that will in some way not honor our needs. The question becomes, what’s more important, making the other party happy, or maintaining our emotional integrity? Though your initial thought may be that the answer is easy, upon further examination you’ll see that it’s not.

Just a Little Weekend Essence 19-20 November 2011: ‘A Powerful Time’

For Saturday the 19th:

6 PM PST the Moon opposes Ceres. Will we be the highly emotional party, expressing at the feet of big bad authority, or will we be Self-possessed and perhaps a tad intrusive, distressing another with our non-co-operation? As always, neither viewpoint is superior–along with highly emotional comes the guise of being harmless and even powerless, and yet refusal to accept one’s own power is not the other person’s fault; and being cool and collected doesn’t mean you are any stronger, better, or less feeling than your ‘opponent’–it just seems that way.

And for Sunday the 20th:

Around 4 AM Pacific time the Virgo Moon squares Venus and trines Sedna. Could we have a bigger recipe for disaster? And which will we choose to f*** up, Love or Money? It’s not that we won’t be trying to do the right thing for ourselves and others, it’s that we won’t be able to feel, know, or intuit the actual situation–and if we don’t know where we are, we certainly can’t know which way (figuratively, that is) to go. The tendency may be to be critical based on what’s in our minds, not how things really are–and it only goes downhill from there :(   We’d do best to play it cool and calm in relationships, and keep our financial situation just where it is, for the moment.

1:30 PM PST the Moon sextiles the Sun (and naturally, trines the Earth!) leaving us with a sense of being ‘on the right track’, despite the simultaneous Lunar quincunx to Neptune; the latter aspect suggests we may be prompted to adjust our emotions so that illusion is ‘illuminated,’ and so possibly eliminated. Bonus x-ray influence: Can help us see who’s telling us whoppers! And, if you have a placement at 25 Cancer through 1 Leo, this creates a Grand Trine for you that, depending on the natal body aspected, could ignite dreams or creativity in a major way.

Just a Little Essence for Today 18 November 2011: ‘A Diffuse Self-Focus’

Void begins 11:06 AM PST; Moon enters Virgo at 2:19 PM Pacific time. Right away we have an opposition to Chiron and quincunx to Uranus. We may be very critical of our own or others’ wounds, or of our own or others’ efforts at healing; the more critical we find ourselves being, in fact, the more likely it is that we are having some ego problems, probably in relation to the group, that are prompting us to insist on showing our individuality. We can be sure that if this is the source of our impulse, we are not being original, innovative, or constructive in any way. Take a healing stance and if possible diffuse Self-focus; these two measures will help you avoid what could become a very unpleasant interlude, especially in terms of relationships.

Revelations of St. Brigid Artist Unknown c1375 {{PD-Art

1:30 PM PST the Leo Moon quincunxes Ceres, and the emotions find they must accommodate nature, mother, authorities, or the need to negotiate. Being flexible will make this a relatively pleasant learning experience, while insisting on one’s emotional viewpoint as ‘right’ may cause a power struggle–which one way or another will be lost.

3 PM PST the Moon opposes Vesta and trines Mercury. This may be a point of revelation, where we learn something vital about something that’s sacred to us. We can be sure that the message is one of how best to proceed or act (Fire trine). Even though this involves our highest values, we may receive the information with an unusually objective eye that allows us to see our own priorities clearly–and so to judge their worth with a better-than-average ability.
