20 April 2010: Water to Water

Have a drink {{PD-Art}} by A. Bronzino 1543-45

Around 10 AM PDT we’re snapped out of our revery surrounding the past ( the previous Moon conjunct South Node aspect) by some good advice, sound guidance, and/or the need to apply our smarts to getting business done (Moon trine Pallas)–but it all still feels very emotional, as the trine takes place Water sign to Water sign. With the mental faculties down (or at least modestly fuzzed) by the retrograde, feelings may appear to be bigger in our emotional rear-view mirrors than they actually are, especially those connected to the past–and that means we may be over reactive. Awareness of our tendency to exaggerate the emotional element should be enough to keep us from problems, however.

We cruise along on this Water to Water contact until around 5 PM PDT, when we see a sextile to Sedna and a trine to Jupiter, the latter of which completes a loose Grand Trine in Water. The problem here is twofold: 1) emotions and emotional perceptions flow very smoothly; the feelings flow into the social role and interactions, and they access what’s wise–sounds good, right? And it can be. except for 2) the fact that Sedna has wiggled in there, suggesting that we will not in any form see this dynamic at work–and that means it’s susceptible to unconscious influences, and to tipping our own unconscious inclinations to everyone else. There’s nowhere to hide during this effect, I’m afraid; we will reveal ourselves to others, they to us, and once again the best we can do is be scrupulously honest–if we have nothing to hide, there’s nothing to fear.

By midnight Pacific the Cancer Moon sextiles Taurean Venus, who, I suspect, may not have been receiving her total due of late, simply because we’ve all had so much on our agendas that there’s been little time for love or relationships–clear out a spot on your calendar to coincide with this aspect, and give the lady what she needs–she’ll be generous with you in return.

By 6 AM on the 21st the Moon will trine Uranus and quincunx Neptune, followed swiftly by a sextile to Saturn, the final aspect for this pass through Cancer. The effect may be a desire to blend with or work along with the group that requires some adjustment to either our ideals or our fantasies of what this experience will be like. With Saturn at 29 degrees, expect a bit of emotional distress, and a very short Void. The Moon enters Leo at 8:41 AM PDT on the 21st.

19 April 2010: Taking a Punch

West Coasters start the day (and everyone else meets this at various points in their routine) with a, what’s this? opposition of the sensitive Moon newly sojourning in Cancer and the Ceres and Pluto tag team in Capricorn. Today, at least through about 3 PM Pacific, may feel like one or the other of those two formidable forces is pulling no punches emotionally–and it will likely feel like it’s all coming from the outside, as if the powerful, authorities, the secret, the elements, and/ or Mom will be facing off with us directly. For those highly sensitized to Moon energies, it may feel like reality (Capricorn) is out to destroy us (Pluto); for those who are able to take it less personally (just about everyone else), it could feel more like a challenge–and one we’re ready to rise to.

A sneaky Fist of God (sneaky because the sucker punch it delivers comes disguised as the same old same old of Chiron/ Neptune) made up of the aforementioned conjunction of the great deluder and the sultan of hurt, sesquiquadrate the South node and Zeus, points to the real source of upset for today; though we feel like it’s power struggles that are the problem, it may actually be power struggles and old hurts from the past (South node). Our spirits, our imaginations (Neptune) bring them to life, and we are loathe to let them go, if only because it helps us make sense of the present.

It isn’t until about 1 AM PDT on the 20th that we move on emotionally to wanting to express, to communicate, but may be struggling with our own Will and ambitions (sextile to retro Merc and square to Zeus). Our goals and wants could feel to us like they’re requiring we modify communications, but we really aren’t able to articulate things right now, and the mind is searching for a reason that describes the difficulty. What we actually need to do is stop trying to formulate any specific messages right now; we are better off just feeling (and if possible, leaving those impulses as pure as possible, not patted into words or even concepts).

By 5 AM PDT the Cancer Moon conjuncts the South Node, and we have a direct pipeline to the past–and this means we have a direct line to intuit the lessons of the past and bring them forward to aid with the now.

Mercury Retrograde April 2010

The Leaves of Hermes' Sacred Tree artist unknown 1577

So I thought all the Martian energy I’ve been seeing was just a spike amped up by the New Moon in Aries, but now I’m looking at the chart for Mercury’s retrograde (April 17th 9:06 PM PDT) and the only exact aspect is Merc’s quincunx to Zeus in Libra. The point of retrogradation sets the tone for the cycle, illustrated by whatever aspects are made at the time; having an exact quincunx to Zeus suggests that Mercury will be speaking loud and clear about Will and ambition, though what we’ll all be trying to say may suffer the distortions of a typical retro period–so we’ll try to send one message but our Will and desires will shine through, the admonition inherent in this being that, as long as we are open about what we want, there won’t be any discord, or sense of duplicity, about our messages during the retrograde. This energy will likely be very similar to the Aries New Moon energy, with ambitions and egos leaking through no matter what the overt message, and so a time when our honesty, with ourselves and with others, will be on display.

If the removal of the typical message, intents, and thought privacy barriers we carry the rest of the time makes you uncomfortable, then no doubt you will suffer under the retro period. The fact that Merc turns around in Taurus does, of course, focus matters in the arena of the material world and possessions, but I think the real challenge will be to admit what we want. Considering the exact aspect to Zeus, and the heavy Martian energy of the pre-turnaround period, the stage is set for an expose of what we all long for, desire, lust for, and materially require, and the challenge will be to have the courage (ah, that Martian vibe again!) to admit it. The only other two close Mercury aspects are a sesquiquadrate to Saturn and a semi-square to Uranus, and these hint at what impediments may exist in reaching understanding of and admitting the truth of our desires. The difficult aspect to Saturn implies that we may feel external restrictions (rules or boundaries, especially traditional or long-established ones, or the fear of the disapproval of authorities) that inhibit us, as well as those internal impulses to repression we all have. The semi-square to Uranus states that, as with any moment of truth, rebellion from what’s expected (in this case the confluence of energies that requires we admit our wants) is a possibility; we could find ourselves resistant, intellectualizing our ability to outthink and outwit, and thus avoid what everyone else must endure. This ain’t gonna happen. The Trickster may try to convince us that the rules apply only to others–always a mistake to buy that one.

Instead, tap into the Saturn energy to give your Mercury confessions (because the more private these wants have been, the more it will indeed feel like we’ve entered the confessional) restraint and form that doesn’t violate others (utlizing Saturn’s boundaries); use Uranus to tailor things uniquely to you and your needs, to make things very specific to your point of view–in this way admitting those things you desire in life becomes a badge of the Soul’s essence, of what you need in order to flourish, a statement of what you have earned and deserve, rather than a sad list of gimmes. Remember that the strength of the retrograde period is that our feeling sensibilities come to the fore; they aren’t hampered by the mind, which typically insists on processing everything. We have an uncommon opportunity to connect with our desire nature through a kind of sense and sensory feast–embrace it and enjoy!

This is from last month but the warrior theme is here http://mooncircles.com/blog/2010/03/take-the-warrior-to-the-temple/

And a dollop (a very Taurean word! so food-y) of, what else? Taurus http://planetaryapothecary.com/2010/04/astrological-insights-for-15-april-2001/

I don’t know about your world, but this New Moon has released a LOT of energy, in and around me. Two things happen when the energy flows so strongly: I work like a madwoman, and no matter how much I do, it feels like I’ve done very little. This can mean that accessing successfully that highly Self-motivated current can lead to what we least expect, when we’re on a productive tear: depression and discouragement. The perception that we’re not doing enough, not filling the landscape with ‘I am’! energy, can play havoc with the spirit; we can’t forget, Aries can speak through the ego, and the ego is a merciless task master, denying everything that may seem weak (from the Aries viewpoint, of course) in the Self. It’s unwarranted Self-criticism that is guaranteed to stop our expression in its tracks.

Another result of this energy mis-directed can be where we take on the mantle of leader, offering advice. There’s nothing wrong with putting the opinion or experience ‘out there’ for others; but we must first take a look at the life we’re living: that’s the true advice, the true example. It’s really a ‘listener beware’ situation: it’s up to us to recognize that the unemployed advising on finding a job, the unpublished telling you how to write successfully, and the many-times divorced advising you on relationship all have one thing in common: they’re speaking according to where they want to be, and the reality is, if they knew what they were talking about, they’d be there! What they know is what they’re doing–Just sayin’

These energies call for acceptance of our constructive urges shorn of their ego expectations; every time we feel ourselves thinking, ‘That’s not enough’–good enough, big enough, whatever–we need to pull back from judgment and acknowledge that we’re doing, motivated, and that that’s enough–period. We don’t need the ego’s approval to be productive, we need simply to express true to who we are. And when we’re seeking to ‘learn how,’ we must take instruction from those who’ve lived their words, because they know the path to take.

One more thing: if you’re feeling drained today, please consider that you may be resisting the Aries flow and where it may lead you. It takes a lot of energy to refuse the beckoning current–and that can take the life right out of us.

Revisiting the Neptune/Chiron Effect

Martyrdom of Saints Crispin and Crispinian by van den Bossche 1494 {{PD}}

The long-lasting Neptune/ Chiron conjunction has put us all through the wringer, and will continue for some time yet. They come close to connecting precisely once again in Fall 2010 but manage, only minutes apart, to never quite meet; once both are direct, Chiron takes off with nary a backward glance for his one-time dance partner. We may see a slowly, steadily, insidiously building tension between the two energies through that November time frame, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to reprint an article first published in May of 2009 (with slight modifications-read the original with comments here https://juliedemboski.wordpress.com/2009/05/12/neptune-chiron-projection-hurt-and-ownership/), to remind us all of where we’ve been, and where we still, for a while, might have to go. The Dark of the Moon is the perfect time to consider things we might want to absorb as much at a subconscious level as a conscious one, so that the ideas will work subtly to shape our attitudes and interactions. Here it is:

When Chiron and Neptune entered each other’s orb, we began to experience an ongoing test of our connection to reality. True, everyone has areas they’d rather not look at too closely, places in our lives where we keep our perceptions in soft focus around the edges. I’m not speaking of those things we accept or let pass or don’t inspect too minutely, out of an already full life plate, or the simple reluctance to admit something isn’t perfect–that’s not only human, it’s probably vital to healthy functioning, as we could be easily overwhelmed by too much detail, too many things to ‘fix.’ I’m talking about those few of us with a relational disconnect in the overall world view, where the individual’s idea of who they are, and who others are, is deeply and fundamentally off.

This conjunction was early on imbued with both a spirit of Self and aggression and a mentality that framed dissonance as a personal power struggle, with the transits of both Mars and Juno to this combo (Feb-Mar 2009).

The energy became more prominent as Jupiter neared the conjunction of Chiron/ Neptune; its presence boosts the need to project, to broadcast, related ideas and concepts as a means of expressing one’s belief in them, and thereby, at least to the mind that’s confused, proving their validity–it’s a Self-righteous energy that feeds on belief/ faith in an ideal that does not correlate to the reality picture. Jupiter also brings in the social element, the possibility of reaching out and imposing the ideas in the social sphere, again as an expression of their ‘truth’–“I wouldn’t be able to say this publicly if it weren’t true!”

The big problem with all of this is, Chiron and Neptune both hold expression pitfalls for those who are prone to fantasy, delusion, obfuscation, as the conjunction marries the urge to embrace illusion with the primal wound, the sense of hurt that, if left unclaimed and unexplored by the individual, becomes ripe for projection, and that is essentially what we’ve been seeing the past few months, an insistent sense of victimhood which has taken (temporary) hold of a dispiriting few.

How do we sort ‘true’ victims (as there are those who suffer legitimately at the hands of others) from those who have simply taken the worldview that they are victims, fueled by the easy Self-empathy of a complete mis-perception of role, actions, or intents? One easy way is to ask, where does this person ‘live’? Is their sense of Self seated in a me (or us) v. them mentality, where they are ‘done to,’ where others have bad intent, where they are a crusader for good and right in the face of those who are insensitive bullies? In this regard, anyone who disowns the potential to be the aggressor themselves becomes a candidate.

This is not, on its own, definitive, as there certainly are bullies, insensitive louts, and those who mean us harm, and sometimes the world does divide up into sides. There are other factors that distinguish those who are suffering under this transit (and suffer they do, as the pain they feel is real–the problem comes with their clear misunderstanding of where it originates). One distinguishing trait is, they are the aggressor–they pick the fight, typically based on an indignant reaction to what someone else has said or done that violates their delusional sense of Self. Often this has been sought out–the Neptune-challenged individual goes looking for a savior, or at least someone to support their fantasy Self, and when the mirror the other person holds up doesn’t show them the illusion they expect–well it must be that person’s fault, right there–the reflection is wrong, the mirror is wrong, and the person holding the mirror is wrong–because, they firmly believe, it couldn’t be them–in fact, that’s a basic assumption they enter the situation with, that in no way are they misguided, or have anything to learn–a real irony when the situation is a teaching or guidance one.

It’s also common that the person they choose to blame is someone ‘safe,’ someone who will likely not reject them, or who is not involved in the real problem. It’s almost a form of scapegoating, the ancient practice of designating someone or something as the carrier of all the village’s problems and sins, and then driving the bearer out of town–in this case the ‘village’ being the Neptune-influenced individual, who does not recognize the internal schism that prevents acknowledging the problem as their own.

How do you know when you are dealing with someone thus afflicted? “You think” may be the first words of many of their sentences–they speak as if they’re psychic (Neptune, again!) and yet what you’re hearing has no relation to what’s actually in your mind or heart–and you quickly discover that contradicting them brings out the emotional flood, anger or hurt, one and the same. They come at you claiming a wound, blaming the hurt on you, and yet this doesn’t make sense–it’s like they’ve set off huge emotional smoke bombs, deflecting attention from the real source of upset, determined to extract energy, attention, and penance from the accused–and if you’re the accused, you may think they have a point–until you realize that you are not reacting from emotion, or a need to Self-defend, and that even offered apologies or clear explanations as to your intent are ignored–the individual has a stake in taking a stance that demands you accept their indignation, and that you be responsible for their hurt, even if it doesn’t make sense, and it’s the one-sided, punishing nature of the interaction that is your biggest and best clue that this person is under the Neptune/ Chiron spell, using you as a screen for projection and Self-justification. Even those who claim to speak for the oppressed can be subject to this–for just as likely that they are correct in their remarks is the possibility that they are taking a passive-aggressive tack toward judgment and blame, typically engaging in precisely what they accuse others of.

It’s a sad situation; it can bring to ruin perfectly good relationships, as the Neptune individual does not, will not, cannot allow themselves to see the imperfection in their reasoning–as that would require a release of the illusion of victimhood–and right now, for them, that just feels too good, too safe, and perhaps is the only way they can feel right.

And to those who may feel injury at the hands of others, it’s good to remember, that no one can injure you without your consent.

14 April 2010: New Moon in Aries

Galileo's Phases of the Moon 1616 {{PD}}

The 13th is prime Dark of the Moon–relax–we’re working up to the New Moon on April 14th at 5:28 AM PDT at 24 Aries 27. Sticking to our strict 2 degree rule in order to draw a precise picture of the influences of the New Moon, we are once again *sigh* left with nothing striking to work with (but frankly, in my opinion, that only signals a pure light from the Moon, with little else that might interfere). We can make a small exception, as a trine to Vesta at 21 Aries 51 draws attention and seems compelling, if only because a single aspect can make strong testimony in a sky that otherwise gives the meeting of Sun and Moon wide berth, leaving the energy as is.

The New Moon and Vesta trine each other, from Fire to Fire, and this suggests the gift of a spirited and determined energy that allows us to choose and to act (Aries) concerning those things that are most sacred to us, on the home life, and on all intimate communion (Vesta), and this done in a way that is most characteristic of the Soul (Leo). Since the New Moon is a time of beginnings, it follows that the energies we honor most should and will be put in motion at this time–choose according to the Will (Aries) and make choices that honor those things we wish to dedicate our lives to–it calls for nothing less than this.

The Sabian for the New Moon degree is ‘The Possibility for Man to Gain Experience at Two Levels of Being’ http://www.cafeastrology.com/sabiansymbols_degreemeanings.html There are other versions of this symbol, specifically ‘A Double Promise Reveals Its Inner and Outer Meanings’ but all speak of the duality of possibility that is presented with this New Moon energy, and this implies not just Self-generated choice, as noted with the Aries placement, but that the experiences initiated will contain multiple meanings, and that these will hold that sacred Vesta energy in the form of a covenant (the promise spoken of). The gift of the New Moon in Aries, then, is the gift of significance beyond the conscious choices of our Will, choices that will serve the sacred in ways we may not know at the time they’re made.

I wrote the body of this post, but had the strangest feeling–did I use the wrong Sabian, forget something, what? So I started to look around, and found this by Diane http://libraseekingbalance.com/archives/2646 that talks about double checking what you do. But I’ve got to admit, even after triple checking I feel like I’ve done something wrong. The only other thing I noticed in the chart may really be the heart of the feeling, though: the Part of Fortune for the New Moon chart is exactly semi-sextile the Sun-Moon conjunction, and this jogged something from a long-ago memory, a suggestion that the Part of Fortune in event charts in close aspect to something relevant signals meaning, a fatedness, something ‘special,’ somehow, to what will occur. Perhaps this adds weight to our New Moon choices, if we know they may ripple out into our future, and be even more important than we can imagine.

12 April 2010: All in Our Heads

Tags

, , , , , ,

Let’s start a little before the 12th begins my time, as around 11 PM PDT on the 11th we see the Pisces Moon sextile Juno in Taurus; we are prone, literally or figuratively, to dream of ways we can become empowered so that we can affect our material world. Pay attention to what’s running through your mind at this point; it will reveal a great deal about what you’re really hoping to gain, and will be especially illuminating if up to now you’ve not recognized the goals you’re emotionally yearning to meet.

By 2 AM PDT the Moon is close to conjunction with Uranus, bringing revelations, especially emotional ones, over the individual role within the group or Collective. We’ll see or realize something that surprises us. Then by 4 AM PDT the Moon is within opposition to Saturn in 29 degrees of Virgo. The feeling will definitely be one of pressure, crisis, or an almost frantic assessment of what’s been built in the life; in any case, a moment of reckoning that we think is putting us face to face with reality–but the reality is this is just a 29 degree expression of tension, with Saturn supplying the fear and the Moon a sense of vulnerability. Wait it out–the Moon enters the Void at 5:52 AM Pacific time, and though this may, for some, temporarily exacerbate those feelings of weakness, they will pass with the Moon’s entry into Aries at 6:30 AM.

The Aries Moon gives the benefit of offering an atmosphere of Self-possession; we can settle down a bit, secure in the right to seek out our own interests. Around noon of the 12th the Moon squares Ceres in Capricorn, giving us a chance to flex our Self-determination muscles; this could be a formidable challenge, as authorities are firm in their idea of what constitutes the rules. It’s at this point we might note the Fist of God formed by Juno square Neptune, both sesquiquadrate Zeus. This either elaborates on the more fleeting Moon-oriented authority challenge, or describes (as it will for some) an ongoing situation that the Moon only brings emphasis to. The Fist implies that one’s personal authority and empowerment are at odds with the Will and ambition of another, and either ideals or delusions are behind the controversy. If this fits a scenario in your life, you may find the Moon bringing forward a direct chance to hammer things out–just don’t succumb to emotionalism or make the mistake of completely ignoring the status quo in your campaign to get appropriate control of your own situation.

3 PM-ish the Aries Moon is within square to Pluto and trine to Mars–uh-oh, this is a lot of testosterone-y energy sources whacking into each other–you need to have those earlier conflicts wrapped up at this point, or the whole upset could go into overdrive. Proceed with caution.

Around 6 AM PDT on the 13th the Moon opposes Zeus; we may see echoes of the earlier situation, or, if we’re lucky, enjoy the way the whole confrontation turned out. We’re into the Dark of the Moon, so much of our reaction and upset during the 12th through to the New Moon could be experienced more on an internal level–but that can be just as wearing as a fist fight–with Aries, it really might be all in our heads!

9-11 April 2010: My Weekend Astro Diary

Tags

Calder's 'Flamingo' Chicago photo by John Picken cc2.0

We ought to become as conscious of our thoughts and sensibilities as possible over the weekend and through next week, as those energies will to some extent move into our Collective blind spot when Venus meets Sedna (in orb by the 16th) and Mercury turns around (9:06 PM PDT on the 18th at 12 Taurus 34). Just something to keep in mind as we go through the next few days, the aspects of which suggest to me a lessening of the tension that’s been rampant for a while now–this could free up a little of that mind power that’s been consumed with whatever’s been stressing us.

By 1 PM PDT this afternoon (the 9th) we see the Aquarius Moon go through the gauntlet of conjunction to Neptune and then Chiron, and at meeting the latter the Moon will also quincunx Saturn retrograde in Virgo, and these last bits happen at 29 degrees; a last hurrah of confusion, upset, tension, even deceit—-so by my reckoning, making for a very short Void, lasting from 6:29 PM PDT to the Moon’s entry into Pisces at 6:48 PM. Yes, this differs from some calculations of the Void–it all depends on whether you count quincunxes as major aspects (I do–those who use strict Ptolemaic aspects, such as most horary astrologers, don’t) and there’s also the matter of whether one uses the asteroids, and which ones–so it’s basically a free-for-all, take your pick!

The majority of aspects the Moon makes while in Pisces are easy ones (or at least, moderate in their impact). Highlights include a quincunx to Mars at around 4 AM PDT on the 10th–prior to this, change and exercise of authority flow smoothly, but the Mars aspect requires we adjust our own, or to, egos and assertive urges. This need to adjust to assertions and ambitions, our own and others’, continues through to about 8:30 AM on the 11th, when the Moon conjuncts Jupiter-this should bring good feeling all around, the only real danger being that this goodwill could be based on delusion or a lack of facts–so at worst, a source of mix-up or embarrassment–but for those attuned to Neptune, a wonderful influence.

By the time the Moon hits Uranus about 2 AM PDT on the 12th, any shocks or surprises will be ephemeral, or illusory, accessed through dreams or imagination, a ‘what if’ scenario. All in all, the weekend influence will be mostly one that brings a tiny vacation of sorts, a holiday from whatever’s been bothering you.

I’m hitting the Calder exhibit at the SAM tomorrow–maybe I’ll see you there?

8-9 April 2010: Bedeviled

, , , ,

So, I had a post I was ready to write, but really don’t want to devote so much time to it, even though I’m seeing and hearing about it from many, so here’s a summary: if you’re giving something away, really give it away; if you start feeling resentful or have expectations that something specific will come back to you from the giftee (or worse, that it should come back to you, because they should be grateful) then this was not a gift at all, it was a demand. Saturn is giving many hell right now (remember those people who insisted on saying, “Heaven-o” when they answered the phone? No reasonable person should take it that literally–would it have helped for them to know that ‘hell’ means ‘light’ in many Germanic languages? Probably not) and, still involved with Pluto, brings forward some strong Saturnian needs, which often include expectations we have of others, especially when we’re not getting our material reality needs met–Pluto digs up our deep fears, our power needs, our trepidation over our own possible destruction, that we might ‘poof’ disappear entirely, and applies it to our reality (Saturn)–and so there’s a tendency to demand from others proof that what we’ve done is worthy, that we are not pouring our energy into an abyss, that we will not dwindle away to nothingness, that we are significant. One of the most basic lessons of the Universe is that we should not necessarily expect our flow to come out of the same pot we’ve contributed to; remembering that, plus being truly honest about our expectations, having no ulterior motive in interaction (as this contaminates the result; it means that even if we get what we want, it will not satisfy the need), will serve us well as the square bedevils us for some time. (And with Saturn going direct in less than 2 months, and Ceres cozying up to Pluto as we speak, we can expect an even greater crisis–or is that circus?–surrounding power and authority issues as they affect our status, place, and our reality.)

Bedeviled, of course. Image courtesy Wikimedia Commons {{PD-Art}}

This morning my husband, ready to leave, said, “Is it going to rain today?” Cue hail! Big thick sheets of ice stone, chattering on the pavement and bombarding the garden; but now, after twenty minutes or so of downpour, it’s becoming incredibly beautiful out. The sky has cleared and lightened to a pale, pearly blue, the cedars are bejewelled with beads of water, and there are robins everywhere. Could I ask for a better harbinger? No, and neither could you; each of us is a translator for the Universe, and we do each other the service of seeing, speaking, interpreting–and what I’m seeing is a clearing of skies, a resolution to pressures and goals, that has a much better outcome than we’d previously anticipated. Relax–it requires nothing more of us than to be.

There are only a few things I want to mention: about midnight PDT on the 8th the Moon will oppose Vesta with a T-arm of Sedna=we may quite literally at this point forget what’s most important to us, and the Aquarian Moon will be very accommodating, offering rationalizations that make our abandonment of values seem oh-so-reasonable–obviously, this will not serve our best interests; and by 8 AM PDT on the 9th Neptune will sit at the midpoint of a tight little Aquarian config with the Moon and Chiron on either side=a very tricky point in the day, all dependent on your relationship to Chiron and Neptune–those laboring under delusions, or nurturing fantasies, will suffer mightily, while those guided by ideals and seeking to use unique skills will get a huge emotional boost–try to be in the latter category.

7-8 April 2010: Remembering Love

Ah, Aquarius Moon! We all could use a little calm, cool, and collected–certainly a phrase reflective of the Aquarian mindset. I’m witnessing two ways of responding to the Aquarian energy: some of us have been responding to Chiron at 29 degrees, with rampant and insistent Self-sabotage, and the Moon simply brings our emotional attention to it, and some of us are feeling overworked and overwhelmed (and though this isn’t the cause, Juno/ Sedna conjunct may have contributed to the feeling as we’ve been unable to see what might be empowering, especially materially, with the conjunction in Taurus), and this sense of being overtaken by events, duties, work may see a lightening with this Moon, as it allows us to get some distance and handle with the mind what might otherwise affect us emotionally.

I discussed the effects up through the oppostion to Mars here https://juliedemboski.wordpress.com/2010/04/06/6-april-2010-a-dose-of-emotional-wisdom/ and also talk about Pluto’s turnaround; so what about the rest of the day? Around 4-6 PM PDT the Moon semi-sextiles Pluto, and normally this wouldn’t be a big deal, but it may allow a glimpse at what the Pluto retrograde holds emotionally for each of us.

By 8 PM PDT the Moon squares Mercury, and emotions may drive words–conflict is in the air, and considering how irritated many of us have been, lately, we may be better off lying low–though certainly the urge to intellectualize our pain, or to address differences through discussion, will be strong–go for it only if you are able to stay rational and not use the Aquarian energy as a way to justify what is really an emotional upset.

Midnight Pacific the Moon squares Venus, and for an undisciplined few, the temptation to drag those agitated thoughts from early in the evening into  relationships, or into consideration of values, talents, and asset use, will be overwhelming–everybody else may feel a kind of alienation, a sense of being just a little removed from love–so our best response may be to remind ourselves (for the mental processes will likely be in radical overdrive–thanks, Aquarius!) of all the love we have. Remembering that we are loved, whether we are able to see, feel, or perceive it in the moment, can be a powerful mental tool to get us through a rough patch and keep us making decisions that are to our benefit.

A trine of the Moon to Zeus around 7 AM PDT on the 8th will bring a ‘feeling our oats’ interlude–at this point the mind may be clicking faster than we can keep track (or control) of, and allying it to ambitions and Will could make us say (or commit to) things before we know it–so slow it all down, if possible. A quincunx to the South Node during the 2-3 PM hour may take us down memory lane–and we’re likely to adjust our interpretation of our memories because of it.
