7 AM PDT of the 16th the Sagittarius Moon forms the apex to a Finger of God with base of Mars-Sedna. This suggests that if our actions and choices are based on truly intimate knowledge and understanding of ourselves, emotional fulfillment will follow. Sounds simple enough. 9 AM PDT the Moon trines Sun-Ceres, offering us a direct line through either the emotions or the intuition to our most powerful personal identity stance–embrace it! Also a good point at which to judge the effects of diet on health. Void begins at 9:59 AM PDT; the Moon enters Capricorn at 8:26 PM Pacific time. Immediately the Moon squares Venus, fresh in Libra. The emotions are challenged in relationship or in dealing with something in life we treasure; try to determine the issue’s worth to you before making a move.

See it all with ECLIPSE!

What follows is the aspect and Lunar hour-by-hour forecasts for 15 August from ECLIPSE; subscribers to the Weekly got this last Thursday, while Daily Word subscribers got it, plus the Daily Word Image, in their email morning of the 14th Pacific time. Subscribe now and get this for every day, plus lock in the current rate!

15 August we may do a lot of weighing and measuring today, as the natural world faces off with the inner one, wisdom faces ambition and desire, the Underworld meets the Upper one (and this will have a personal form, wherein your darkness or hidden nature contacts your daily environment) and words make or break relationships, and could earn for us or cost us. Noting the contrasts among things as we sort through our day is what will give events and encounters meaning and texture; neither side of any equation holds a superior position, and keeping this in mind will make us both more thoughtful of the experience and more likely to make decisions that are true to who we are, rather than influenced by conditioning. (Ceres square Sedna and sesquiquadrate Pluto, Pallas square Zeus, Mercury semi-square Venus)

1 AM PDT of the 15th the Sagittarius Moon squares Neptune. We can be mislead, if we’re not entirely willing to see ‘what is’. 9:30 AM PDT the Moon sextiles Juno. Listen to the emotions at this point; they will lead us to empowerment. Noon the Moon makes the apex to a Finger of God with base of South Node and Jupiter. Expanding our ideas about the past, and perhaps learning something of history, personal or otherwise, leads to a sureness emotionally, and an intuitive knowing. 2 PM PDT the Moon trines Uranus and squares Chiron. We could cause hurt by our insistence on separateness, or by rebelling. Such reactions serve no purpose–don’t indulge. 4 PM PDT the Moon trines Mercury, sextiles Zeus, and quincunxes Pallas. If we want our plans to be a success, we must be willing to adjust or modify, according to what’s smart, and to match skills to what’s needed.

The image for today is the hand receiver on an old landline phone. This speaks to me of the South Node, and evokes not an old message, but an old means of delivering the message. Watch today for a familiar form of communication; think about what you came to see that as signifying in the past, and ask yourself how that particular means of sharing information affects the message now, with the idea in mind that the form itself carries its own meaning, apart from the overt message conveyed.

Have a great Thursday! New issue of ECLIPSE comes out tonight!

Lunar Eclipse 24 May 2013: ‘The End of the Illusion’

The final eclipse in a series of three occurs 24 May at 9:24:55 PM PDT at 4 Sagittarius 08, with the only aspect a square to Neptune. Since a Lunar eclipse is a Full Moon, we would naturally look for the conclusion of something; in this instance, though, we have the energy of a T-square as the primary outlet, suggesting that any resolution realized will be funneled into Neptunian results, events, or will be met with a Neptune-focused consciousness. Whatever concludes for us will spur Neptunian expression of a kind that is most characteristic of our natal Neptune. That means that though we may intend to be creative, to do dream explorations, to begin a regular meditation practice, or to sleep a full 8 hours every night, for example, we may instead find ourselves chasing a recurring fantasy (Sagittarius related, so focused on an educational, religious, travel, reaching out/ publishing/ broadcasting or foreign influences/ destinations scenario, or in the matters of the natal House with Sag on the cusp), being lied to once again, confused, or back on the same creative or delusional path.

What we thought had ended a month ago (let’s call it our belief that something wasn’t possible) is now being faced as possible, with all the tribulations involved apparent. So, we were notified at the initial Lunar eclipse of this set that the dream really was possible, and now we are being shown the nitty-gritty of how to do it–that is, if we’ll only refuse to be caught in characteristic Neptunian ideas, escapes, or avoidances. The month since the initial eclipse has presented us with every potential conflict in relation to realizing that dream, symbolized by the T-square of Neptune to the eclipse axis. We are now, with this eclipse, seeing the end of the illusion: we see what it takes to reach our ‘impossible’ goal–which is to say, we are truly, at this time, equipped to pursue and achieve it.

The Sabian Symbol is ‘An Old Owl Sits Alone On The Branch Of A Large Tree’.  This draws my attention to Pallas, which happens to be body of latest degree at 27 Taurus 52, and which receives a conjunction from Mars. This suggests we look to the spot in the natal chart where the eclipse falls, or where Pallas transits, for the wisdom needed to act, even to fight, in order to pursue our dream.

Just a Little Lunar Essence for 3-4 March 2013: ‘The Costs of Contrariness’

'The Hot Sands, Mustapha, Algiers' by Charles Conder 1891 {{PD-Art}}

‘The Hot Sands, Mustapha, Algiers’ by Charles Conder 1891 {{PD-Art}}

3 March: the Moon enters Sagittarius at 1:11 PM PST; at 6 PM PST the Moon squares Neptune, bringing conflict over some delusion we accept as real, some fantasy we insist on being attached to, or with creative activity, which seems to contradict our feelings about what our creative output should be.

4 March the Inferior Conjunction (the meeting of retro Mercury and the Sun) heralds conflicts, unexpected costs, and circumstances that offend those things we hold sacred.  1 AM the Sagittarius Moon squares Venus and trines Uranus. Relationships suffer from a too-independent attitude or from simple rebelliousness. Costs of contrariness or insistence on being unique are serious and far-reaching. Allow others their freedom, even if it feels wrong, and channel individual expression so that it finds a productive and useful outlet. 8 AM PST Luna tucks herself into the midpoint between Pluto and Saturn. We are emotionally struck by changes to the structures and organization of our lives, and may experience some intense feelings of aloneness and fears of destruction or restriction under coming conditions. It should be reassuring that there is nothing we can do about these changes, and that they have been going on for some time, it’s just that right now circumstances allow us to really feel them happening (or maybe we should say, we are only feeling them, with the mental faculties completely out of the way, and that makes the emotional reactions seem so much more potent). Try not to make any decisions based on the emotions at this time.

THIS is what happens with too much free time. ‘Venus Riding a Satyr’ Dirck de Quade van Ravestyen c1601 {{PD-Art}}

The Sagittarius Moon sextiles Venus (1 PM PST) smoothing the way in relationships by means of enthusiasm and understanding, and helping to bring finances under control by applying reason (Venus in Aquarius). 4 PM PST the Moon trines Uranus, bolstering originality, innovation, and (no!) rebelliousness. Emotion may ride a little too high, and get out of hand out of sheer excitement. Keep individual expression at the forefront, even as you keep group needs in mind. 6 PM PST the Moon opposes Jupiter, making for the possibility of emotional conflict on the social scene, probably based in nothing more than temper over-excited by a casual remark (Gemini v Sagittarius). 8 PM PST the Moon squares Chiron; touchiness is in the air–better to keep what you think you know (Moon in Sag) to yourself.

I won’t be posting anymore for a few days, at least–as we all must, I need to concentrate on what pays–the above paragraph is from the current ECLIPSE; if you’d like the complete daily forecast (and more!) either Weekly or daily, please subscribe–thank you!

For January 9th, from ECLIPSE:

Around 9 AM PST the Sagittarius Moon acts as apex to a loose Finger of God with base of Sedna and Earth. The result may be emotional revelation brought about by a material experience that somehow echoes some deep, inner truth for you–or it may simply leave us puzzled, trying to intuit an un-intuit-able thing. Noon the Sagittarius Moon opposes Ceres. Our nurturing instincts and need for protection may clash with our desire to show our own power and to exercise it within our own maternal relationships. At worst this should only bring some clashes and maybe some crying and storming from the room, but no permanent damage should be done.

A knot garden in Bristol UK Pic by Rodw Released into the Public Domain {{PD}} Thanks, Rodw!

December 12th the big news is Venus conjunct the North Node. Doesn’t seem like a big deal, but for some it will make for a definitive moment concerning values, wealth, or relationships. Direction in one or more of these areas will be set. Look to the House where this occurs in your chart, as well as any aspects it makes (from 25 Scorpio)in order to know the possible impact.

New Moon occurs December 13th at 12:41 AM PST at 21 Sagittarius 44

The New Moon squares Pallas and quincunxes Sedna, making no other aspects under a three degree orb, though we might consider a semi-square to Saturn, as this could be a wise choice, giving us our ‘doorway’ into reality for NM energies. Sag is about knowledge and the sharing of such, and in square to the symbol of wisdom and practical skills, and quincunx the ‘blind spot’ of the chart, it could signal a point when what is ‘born’ with the NM energy is something decidedly unwise, a parcel of misinformation (as it doesn’t seem deliberately malicious) that affects our reality situation, possibly through putting up unwarranted barriers, slowing or stopping progress, or repressing some element that was on its way to expression. This is so very contradictory to the typical NM scenario, where we are seeing the initiation of something much more positive, that it’s difficult to believe that a New Moon may leave us in such a problem state–but there it is. The worst thing is we will not realize that what we’re deal with is an unwise viewpoint–and of course that’s where all the danger lies.

Just let it all go by, if you can. ‘Woman With Fans’ Manet 1873 {{PD-Art}}

From the current ECLIPSE (order today and get the issue that includes the Solar eclipse analysis from this week’s event); a new issue arrives tonight, Pacific time!

November 15th is a day of adjustment; it may feel like everything doesn’t quite fit. Saturn quincunxes Uranus and Venus quincunxes Pallas; could we have a more clear prescription for bad judgment from ants-in-the-pants? No, we could not. Change will seem necessary, but at the same time inappropriate, What’s smart will cost us and what’s frugal won’t be smart, and neither containment nor anarchy works. Don’t even try to control it, for your blood pressure’s sake–just let it all go by, if you can.

And in the Lunar outlook (also from ECLIPSE):

3 PM PST the Sagittarius Moon sextiles Venus and squares Pallas. This is a peculiar aspect, in that we may feel flush, prosperous, or loved, and so do something immensely unwise in our state of confidence. It’s one of those things we should just sit back and enjoy; that little exciting spark of an idea is probably exactly what you should avoid, right now.

New course offered by Jeremy Neal!

7:30 PM PDT the Moon opposes Jupiter, and by 10:30 PM PDT squares Venus. These two contacts signal a long period of clash with the social sphere, pessimism, and potential loss of assets or love. Oh don’t cry, it’s not as bad as it sounds! Our own negative emotional approach will be the real problem; if we can recognize our own ‘down’ attitude, we are halfway home in preventing any negative consequences.

The Moon enters Sagittarius on the 17th of October at 5:26 PM PDT

Right away the Moon squares Neptune to kick off his transit through Sag–why get all, ‘I have to get out of here!’ and ruin that creative endeavor or inspired effort? Stepping back for a bit, rather than running off, is the better course.

10:30 PM PDT the Moon quincunxes Ceres. Adjustment to Mom, authorities, Mother Nature, or the need to negotiate comes forward. Resistance is futile; just do it, and worry about your own feelings later.

For lots more, please subscribe; for only $5 per month you get a detailed weekly forecast that includes all the Lunar aspects, articles, and more, sent directly to your email.
