Health matters, especially those we might’ve faced at some point in the past, are on our minds today–and these can be previous times of disturbed thoughts or emotional or spiritual trials, as well as those of the physical realm. These issues may come to the fore, exaggerated in our own minds, contradicting our stated beliefs, or stirred up by our awareness of social standards that we don’t seem to meet. Calming troubled waters comes through practical attention to our physical well-being and to the condition of the material world itself; we must focus in the moment, on the state of things as they are right now, in order to see things with some wisdom, and to gain a sufficiently accurate perspective (Jupiter sq Hygeia, Mercury parallel Pallas, nov Saturn, and conj the South Node, Sun semi-sq Saturn).

Today’s word image is: you run into an acquaintance on the street, who introduces you to their companion–someone you’ve never seen, heard of, or met before. This person says something that in thinking about it later you start to see as a kind of ‘pronouncement’ from the Universe, with the confirmation that this stranger gave you an extraordinary message being the way, as you all part, they say good-bye and call you by a (pleasant) name no one has used for you since childhood.

All our energy and attention goes to the fulfillment of ambitions and desires; it’s as if we suddenly become hyper-aware of the fragile and fleeting nature of life, and so compelled to achieve meaning, to have an impact that comes straight from the Soul, before it’s all over. The interesting thing is that, in this case, what offers a brilliant bit of inspiration or just the information we need is something we’ve been ignoring, avoiding, or that has previously seemed unjust or enraging; now, by engaging with one or more of these matters, we see the way clear to get what we truly want. An astounding day, if we can meet what’s before us totally without fear (Sun trine Zeus and nov Black Moon Lilith).

Today’s word image is hearing and/ or seeing the same name mentioned simultaneously. It may not have to be a name, but may only be something coming at you from dual sources at the same time, a simultaneity of expression that tells us by its very synchronicity that it holds meaning. For me that name was ‘Harry’. I don’t know anyone by that name, so it made me think of Prince Harry–so I guess I’m looking for the prince in my own life 😉

Our original expression and our values are backed up by both mind and heart, with a wonderful coordination among our relationships, our commitments, and our personal sense of authority and effectiveness. So what’s that nagging doubt that won’t let us perform at maximum? For lack of a better term, let’s call it our conscience. We know there are things we haven’t attended to, that we’ve been ignoring or denying and that need to be faced, including anger over issues we’ve been reticent to confront, and that is prickling our conscience in such a way that, sooner or later, we become aware that we can’t free our minds and our creative energy completely until we deal with the gritty details. Face what needs facing, and today can be a day of extraordinary personal accomplishment; our most unique qualities can find form and expression, and so allow us to offer our own thoroughly characteristic contribution (Mercury sxt Vesta and opposed Ceres, with the latter qnx Black Moon Lilith and trine Vesta, Venus semi-sq BML and sxt Uranus).

Today’s word image is a dream with people in it you ‘know’ only at a distance, from media, politics, or through their public role. When that happens to me, I inspect them as symbolic, exploring their function (real or fictional), name/ character name, or consider what I think of them or have heard of them of late, and what any or all of those might mean as they apply to my life.

Change is the order of the day. Deep, erratic, rebellious but brilliant and original cuts to the bone in values and commitments may draw on the past and require a thorough mental examination of every dark and ignored thing before they can take shape–oh but when they do gather form, we’ll find our power and our path vis-à-vis the facts, the social order, or our belief system. Probably a bigger (that is, more meaningful) day than we’ll realize in the moment; don’t be surprised if you get a shock or two, or a revelation, especially around the home situation, the partner, or those areas you find sacred. Don’t allow thoughts to fixate on the negative, and don’t dissipate energy in anger or nostalgia–neither will serve you, and will only distract from some rather amazing potential developments (Vesta parallel the South Node, Uranus sesq and Pluto nov Vesta, Jupiter sq Juno, Mercury parallel Black Moon Lilith).

Today’s word image is something with a tiny beard. A kitten, a goat, a young man, an old man (or even a woman), a stuffed animal, something or someone you see in the media or on the street or in a photo. Whatever this wee beard and the person or thing that sports it makes you feel, is the important ‘image’ for today.

Addendum: Could that “little beard” be someone ‘fronting’ for someone else, ‘bearding’ for them so their true intentions or inclinations don’t become known?

All that we’ve gathered of worth from the past, as well as our relationships and those ways in which we give or Love, are the mechanisms behind what happens today (Venus parallel the South Node). Those Venusian viewpoints and subjects flourish (and that can feel positive or less than), even as we keep a solid connection to the real-world situation, likely through irritations, obstacles, or small discomforts we must work around or accommodate (Venus semi-sq Saturn). The great thing is we have lots of arrows in our quiver: our values and commitments show their worth and keep us on point (Venus parallel Vesta) and encourage a healthy, balanced approach (Venus conj Hygeia) that supports attaining ambitions and desires (Venus trine Zeus), and we’ll also sense the advantage in facing what we might otherwise turn away from, deny, or meet only with temper (Venus and Hygeia nov Black Moon Lilith). That addresses our attitude, but here’s how it might translate into action: impulses may need to be curbed, actions slowed for sufficient consideration, as we’ll either feel guiding wisdom may need modification or we’ll simply resist what’s practical and smart (Mars quincunx Pallas). We have the right foundation and sensibilities for moving forward, but our judgment may be skewed–keep that in mind today, and slow your roll, so that reason can moderate or overcome impulse.

Today’s word image is someone who puts something up for sale, but then refuses to sell it, even when offered exactly what they say they want. Is there someone in your world claiming to offer something, then not producing when it’s accepted? Do you feel like it’s a bait-and switch? Do you feel the person is honestly conflicted, or duplicitous? Or are you doing this, and not even aware you’re doing it? Sending such thoroughly mixed signals to the Universe is a real problem; for best results, get all your intentions on a single wavelength.

Are you pursuing ambition fulfillment, or pure Power, or are those one and the same for you? Today we see how vital possessing and wielding power is to our own satisfaction, and we see precisely how close or far away we are from realizing full throttle empowerment. Hints for making the most of today’s influences: Be optimistic and look for opportunity–at the same time, remain aware of the darker side of things, and of the pitfalls and dangers of a one-note approach; let the facts and the current power distribution offer guidance as to what will work best; be creative, but refuse to be deluded or deceived; and finally, use your real-life past for what it can tell you about dealing with barriers or obstacles (Juno trine and Pluto square Zeus, Saturn semi-square Juno and novile the South Node, Mercury parallel Pluto, Sun parallel Jupiter).

Today’s word image is: from an antique clock that no longer works, the wind-up key suddenly ‘jumps’ out of the keyhole. This actually happened (we saw the key leap to the chair below!) and wondered: what is going on? The clock is set to the time we got married (the ‘I dos’ were at 4:10 PM), and of course there’s that old saying, ‘Even a stopped clock is right twice a day’, suggesting that even the most wrong things can inadvertently, once in a while, actually be right. But my thought is this: a key is useless for a clock that can’t be wound and doesn’t function. So what thing that seemed vital (a key to something) will prove itself unnecessary, and so be removed from the scene (the key ‘jumping’ from the clock)?
