22 October 2010: Full Moon, ‘The Precipice’

There is a factor of revelation to this Full Moon, the kind that tells us, ‘You’d better choose, you need to realize it can’t go on as it has, you’d better sh*t or get off the pot’ It won’t be that crude, but it will be that direct; we will see something (likely hooked to the matters of the axis of the natal House where this occurs) that must be dealt with, decided, that must reach a conclusion of some sort. Since it occurs in Libra, in the anaretic 29th degree, the tension of conclusion/ culmination that is a natural part of a Full Moon doubles; add to this that there is likely to be involvement with one’s relationship(s) and/ or with one’s aesthetic output, and/ or with expression of Will and want, and we have a prescription for situations that could blow-up–though even in distress, these circumstances could retain the politesse and civilized veneer of Libra–no shouting, certainly no shoving, though watch out for the passive-aggressive mental (Air sign and Fire sign, both Cardinals) sucker-punch that will leave you reeling; while the opposing forces may do just that, force an already stressed issue (Aries). We may divide up into aggressors and victims (energy across the Aries/ Libra axis–and there are some of each on both sides) though the truth is it’s a co-operative dance, with no truly guilty parties and no true innocents, either; that’s something to keep in mind during the go ’round.

The point in time of the Full Moon is potentially a precipice–an abrupt edge, passing over which we experience radical change–but no one can say with any certainty whether this will be perceived as positive or negative. The Sabian for the Aries Full Moon is ‘A Duck Pond and its Brood’  This suggests to me that changes occurring now are aimed (guided perhaps by the Soul, by the Higher Self, by God, by the Universe) at putting one into one’s ‘right environment,’ to finding the tribe to which one belongs and to creative expression in its broadest sense. This points the way toward best use of the Full Moon tension, in resolution through co-operating with the ‘right’ others. The trick is in finding, recognizing, and accepting that one has found them, that one belongs to this particular group, and that through this function one may see things about oneself that the ego doesn’t find flattering. To this I say, if you haven’t already, it’s time to assign the ego a back seat–(relatively) easily done with the Full Moon culmination in that last degree of Aries.

Imagine coming upon this pond, knowing you will find your tribe here JFAuburtin {{PD-Art}}

Okay, so I’ve loosened up a bit with the strict orb thing–I’ll go 2.5 if it gives us clarity. What we have, then, is a single contact, a generous quincunx of the Sun to Uranus in Pisces. In this instance it’s an oblique path the Moon energy takes to meet up with the Rebellious One, but there it is: the choice may be either a break-out moment for the ego (that could alienate one from the group and leave previous ties suddenly severed, or at least in little relationship tatters), or it could be the impetus for the Aries Moon to work out its differences (the quincunx) and serve via energy and attention (the connection through the Sun) the group (Uranian) interests–subsuming the ego in order to engage in the ultimate form of co-operation.

ECLIPSE Readers: the ‘Cup’ is present for this Full Moon–with what will you fill it?

I’m finishing up one of the articles for the next issue of ECLIPSE and I have a question for all of you: Who would you say is the most likeable public figure you can name? I have some ideas, one in particular, and for months now I’ve been informally surveying everyone I know–so I have a perfect example, I’m just wondering if I’m missing someone. I’m trying to think of individuals who draw little or no negative reaction from others. Please put your nominees in the comments section–I’d love to hear what your ideas of likable encompass, and who embodies them!

There’s a new post at ‘Been There, Done That’ http://askjulie.wordpress.com –just a few musings on Self-defeating outlooks.

Starting November 1st, all forecast material other than brief New and Full Moon assessments and some commentary on transit and aspect configurations will appear on private pages accessible to ECLIPSE readers only. For those who are disappointed that the majority of material here will no longer be free, my apologies–I have several reasons for wanting to structure things this way–and my feeling is that if you are truly interested in my outlook, you’ll invest 5 bucks in ECLIPSE and get the password–and if you’re only an occasional visitor, you’ll still find assorted short articles and some current sky commentary, but can travel on to more favored blogs/ astrologers for your daily information. This way we all benefit, as I can provide an even more detailed, and real-time updated, outlook for readers (that’s been a frustration for me, having the different forecast bits separated; with them all in one place, and being able to go in day or night and add to them, it will concentrate both the information and my energy in one place.)

By 3 AM PDT of the 21st the fresh Aries Moon will quincunx Venus and oppose , Saturn, perhaps bringing forward some challenges involving relationships, values, and/ or finances, and the adjustments needed to conform to the demands of reality. We’ll have the emotional energy to tackle this, but may balk at what’s really needed, preferring to do things our own way (Aries). In the end, we need to see it as an opportunity to deal with some important issues and make them better. Notice that Ceres and Pluto have been together for a day or two now (ECLIPSE readers already have material on this)–this pairing is a power ultimate, and joined by the Aries Moon, the atmosphere may be ripe for ultimatums–avoid this if possible, as others are just as focused on having their own power needs fulfilled, and will likely butt heads (how Arian!) even when their ‘druthers in less assertive times might be to give you what you want.

And whatever you do, have a great day!

Next up, the Full Moon~

Saturn in Libra: Let’s Get Serious

Tags

Saturn is exalted in Libra; this suggests a sweet, almost secret affinity between the hard-nosed, no-nonsense Saturn surface presentation and the touchy-feely, appearance-is-All, relationship orientation of Libra. So how do they connect? The link may exist through the concept of judgment; not discernment (that’s Virgoan), but a deep and serious assessment, the kind that brings pronouncements of one kind or another: this is good, that’s bad, you’re right, I’m wrong. This dynamic inherent to Saturn in Libra creates immediate tension, as the inclination to partner up and co-operate leads to a desire to make rules and set boundaries in the most nicey-nice way–and everybody wants to be their own authority. When Saturn re-entered Libra we saw the Saturnian urge for order trying to express through relationship, attempting to nail down particulars by considering the viewpoint of others (“What do you think?” “Oh no, what do you think?”) and initially we experienced what may be the unproductive theme of Saturn in Libra: frustration.

So what about that exaltation of Saturn when it’s in the Cardinal Air of Libra? Frustration is only the result while Saturn continues to try to be diplomatic, concerned with others, treating the aesthetic as if it’s as important to the Old Man as is the bottom line–as long as Saturn tries to bend itself to stereotypical positive Libran expression, none of which comes naturally, there will be friction. The nature of Saturn’s exaltation in Libra is expressed when the two allow the inherent qualities of Saturn to express through the most compatible expressions of the sign, without the pressure to steer them in the direction of artificially ‘correct’ attitudes; and those attitudes that are most compatible may bring forward some of the less flattering Libra facets, which is why Saturn works so hard initially to avoid them.

What does this mean? It means that Saturn, when it embraces the totality of the Libran experience, will manifest like this: when the effort to be uniformly, rigidly beautiful is abandoned, Saturn in Libra will become The Judge, the natural and appropriate arbiter of situational assessment and, ultimately, balance. The question of what is fair, right, equitable will take center stage, as will the implications of the status quo, boundaries and rules, repression/suppression, and constructive effort for the individual within relationship. This will manifest for each person in the matters of the House where Saturn transits while in Libra; contact to natal planets, especially hard contact, will bring this to the issues and expression of the natal energy.

There will be struggles over what is allowed and allowable in relationship  and there will be questions of what is fair in terms of rules, structures, authority, responsibility. It all seems a bit dour, but what it can bring is a renewed license to enjoy and experience both interaction and aesthetics; when we know where we stand, we’re free to be ourselves in relationship, to create Art that’s Soul-inspired, and to make life choices that are informed as to what actually supports us, and what is suppressive. The beauty of Saturn in Libra is in the capacity to judge with authority, and to structure our world to reflect the beauty within.

This is a re-print of the original article, modified, which first appeared in 2009.

18 October 2010: The Ram Attacks

Tags

, ,

A news report this morning alerted me to what’s up with our Martian/ Arian energies http://www.peninsuladailynews.com/article/20101017/NEWS/310179991/man-killed-by-goat-in-olympic-national-park-was-experienced-hiker and after googling this subject I find it’s not as rare as it sounds; rams apparently take it out on us sometimes.

Get this saucy Aries Ram on a mug! http://www.cafepress.com/dogandsunflower or get the original image here http://karenswhimsy.com

After looking at current conditions, it made likely influences a little clearer. Mars is at 23 Scorpio; he’s out of contact with the personals and goes right for the social, the organizational, and the unique, with trines to Jupiter and Uranus, semi-square to Saturn, squares to Neptune and Chiron, and the separating opposition to Sedna. This could bring the rams in our lives out and charging, full force, with frustrations stemming from unfulfilling interaction with groups. They may be hurt, their idealism damaged by experiences on the social scene or in painful results of trying to share their own personal uniqueness. Aries may be smarting and not even know it, and it’s the unconscious nature of this possible hurt that makes the Rams’ aggression so dangerous.

Martian energies may be stirring in all of us, whatever our placements. Look to the natal House with Aries on the cusp, the House that holds natal Mars, and Mars’ transiting position and any contacts it currently makes, in order to understand where we may lash out and cause real damage without awareness that we are doing so. We may also come under attack, if we are loathe to see and own our own aggressive nature; failing to see how we are assertive and imposing our own Will (because we are, even if we think we’re not) can mean we paint a big target on our backs.

So, just a quick note about what may be up with our Aries friends; how can we help? Perhaps by de-emphasizing the heavy Libran influence right now–with the Sun, Mercury, Saturn, and hypothetical (but highly useful) Zeus in Libra, Aries may be panicking a bit–it may feel like Aries is losing control, and the Ram really really doesn’t like that. A demand for co-operation sounds to an Aries like someone is stripping them of all ability to have their own way, and can trigger any number of agitated, Martian responses.

Another synchronicity: I turn on the TV for some news and weather this morning as I’m writing this, and in flipping around I see a bit of the show ‘Angel,’ where a demon named Skip is talking about how his Will is keeping someone in a burning hell-cube. Sounds to me a lot like our Aries friends (and our own Aries impulses); they’re used to just dealing with everything through sheer willpower, imposing their  desires and goals on all that surrounds them (some of you won’t agree with that, in a show of Willfulness–the irony!)

That’s the main new thing to be aware of today; it’ll only become more prominent over the next couple of days as Venus in Scorpio moves into semi-sextile with Zeus in Libra. Desires and the passion-deep urge to move toward them will be the main event, even (or especially) if our attention is elsewhere.

Have a great week! And get your copy of JUNO IN THE NATAL CHART http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/ Thanks! Back soon with the Full Moon report, and the new plan for forecasts here at the blog–

16 October 2010: Notes on the Weekend

Just a few things I’ve noticed that I’d like to bring up, along with a plug for Twilight’s Arty Farty Friday http://twilightstarsong.blogspot.com/2010/10/arty-farty-friday-paul-gauguin.html–you’ll love it, especially if you enjoyed the section on Gauguin and creativity in the Summer Eclipse http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/.

This weekend we have an active dynamic that says to me we’ll make some power plays, confident in the wisdom of our choices, but the results will be more an accumulation of something planted much earlier, and so impossible to know from our current reasoning whether our choices are good ones (unless, that is, we can take a moment and see that others may respond out of the past). We see this in the approaching Superior Conjunction of Mercury and the Sun (Superior referring to the fact that this is their conjunction when Mercury’s direct); Juno’s trine to the North Node (and learn all about Juno in the natal scenario and in synastry here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/); Ceres, the North Node, and Pluto are all moving toward conjunction with one another (material on Ceres here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/); Ceres at the rough midpoint of Vesta/ Pluto; other than Merc, the Sun makes no contact to the personals and neither does Pluto, and Mars is a bit estranged, too, but Jupiter jumps right in a touches just about all of them (a sesquiquadrate to Venus, quincunxes to the Sun and Merc, a trine to Mars) and that means tension x5, bringing forward grandiosity, exaggeration, and the temptation to overdo ‘it’ in those prone and/ or operating unconsciously–others may ‘broadcast,’ perhaps unwisely. With the Moon tracking through Aquarius this weekend, the tendency will be toward cool and collected, but for some this will overemphasize the rational, to the point where relationships become equations and the belief is we can think our way out of anything–not so, just to be forewarned. Add a little dose of your own Moon to things, to keep the emotions open and yourself consciously connnected to more usual ways of feeling/ intuiting.

And have an excellent weekend!

Rescue, and the Journey from the Underworld

Orpheus and Eurydice by Nicolo dell Abate 16th century PD-Art

Who hasn’t been horrified, moved, and now joyous, over the collapse of the Chilean mine and the rescue of the 33 men trapped for more than 2 months? Of note is that the operation to bring the miners one-at-a-time to the surface began with the Moon’s entry into Capricorn, successfully beginning to bring men from the rocky depths as the Lunar influence passed over Pluto, god of the Underworld.

So I wondered where the asteroid Orpheus might be; he’s the fellow who persuaded Pluto to resurrect his dead love, his wife Eurydice, (apparently he did this by singing and playing music so beautifully–a few Elvis songs, perhaps?)with the only condition being that Orpheus could lead her from the Underworld, but must wait until both were back above ground before looking at her. Find out what happened here http://anasteroidsdatabase.wordpress.com/?s=orpheus For our purposes, Orpheus is currently at 11 Capricorn, right where the Capricorn Moon sweeps over him during the rescue operation–leading the miners from their months’ underground home back to the land of the living. Isn’t astrology fun?

12 October 2010: A New World

As much fun as I had over my Solar Return vacation, it was still a rough ride, and without actually having to consciously choose, my life has changed. Internal shifts were presented as both necessary and inevitable–I don’t feel like I have a choice, while at the same time what must happen (what has, in effect, already happened) feels like an appropriate expression of my Soul intent at this point in time; this means that there’s no conflict for me in what’s developed, though there is a little regret at losing a particular rhythm that was stressful but had become comfortable, and for a time suited me very well.

The part that affects all of you centers on the way I will be spending my days on other than astrology. I won’t stop doing it, but I will be doing things only when I want to, which means the daily posts are (probably) a thing of the past. I will continue ECLIPSE for as long as it’s feasible; the goal is to cut down the time I spend on the computer every day from 8+ hours to no more than 2. I can’t accommodate what feels like a personal mandate to fulfill another part of myself if I’m chained to this machine–this part of the change is made quite consciously, though what I’ll be filling my days with is open to many forms–and I’m excited to see where my impulse takes me.

What else has changed? I seem to have become a vegetarian. I know! Weird! I have always been a meat-lover–but, suddenly, not anymore. I’m not saying this is a forever thing–if meat appeals to me tomorrow, I will eat it–and there’s no ideological basis for this, though I’ve long believed that as a species we would evolve away from eating other living things–but never thought something so basic in me would change overnight. It’s just one of the shifts in my life this past week, and serves to show just how fundamental some of the new directions are for me.

There are lots of options out there for astrological advice and forecasts–choose wisely and with care. A handful of sources, at the most, or just one that you vibe to, are all anyone needs. I’ll expand even further the forecast contents in ECLIPSE, so that those who want to know how I see things still have a way to find out.

As for what’s up now: Ceres entered Capricorn a few days ago, and she makes slow progress, still at 00. My feeling is that Ceres is very much at home in Capricorn; she abhors a vacuum, and Cap is structure from the cell to the firmness of the Earth herself–together they fill and contain, cradle and create–they are the point where the natural fertility and abundance meets form and structure. We cannot, figuratively speaking, hold a bowl without it filling with something, almost before we know it. No space is left empty by Mother Nature–and this means that we may find some odd combinations, where spiders move in to shoes and it doesn’t especially bother us, and we prefer the dying flowers to an empty vase. The bounty is everywhere, in all its phases, which means decay is as big a part of what fills our spaces as is the flower or the fruit. Learn to work with this anti-emptiness as it will be a theme. The fussier among us may be frustrated by the temporary inability to clear out and lock down, and authorities may present as much more formidable than usual. Remember it’s just Ceres doing her best to fit her abundance, the variety of life and death, into those things that appear static, rigid, and uncompromising–we can all benefit from the union.

Vesta sextiles Pluto and Pallas rides the midpoint, offering a unique opportunity to edit our lives; we can see where to make the smart cuts, where to resurrect, where to destroy. It’s housecleaning that preserves what’s most important to us as we do the wise thing–no regrets or gaffes possible, IF we listen to the voice of our inner wisdom, and honor what really matters.

Starting with the Moon’s entry into Capricorn (9:16 PM PDT the 12th)  look for a feeling of emotions trodden by cloven hooves–I hate to be dramatic (or at least, I hate to be overly dramatic!) but that’s how it may feel for many during this Moon transit. Evil will be barefoot, traipsing over the Soul, and kicking us, whether we’re up or down. Relief doesn’t really come until just before noon PDT on the 14th–but by then, any damage may already be done, pacts with the devil signed, and we won’t see what kind of partnership we’re really in until the 15th-16th (Merc Superior Conjunction with the Sun in Libra). If we don’t react too much from hurt feelings or the idea that we’re powerless (which is an illusion) we should be able to avoid major ill effects.

And whatever you do, have a great one!

7 October 2010: New Moon in Libra ‘Balancing Ambitions, Discerning the Path’

Tags

, ,

The New Moon for October arrives at 11:43 AM PDT at 14 Libra 23. If we keep our usual strict 2 degree orb, an interesting pattern emerges, with asteroid Zeus conjunct the Sun and Moon, the Earth quincunx both Venus and Mars, and sesquiquadrate Pallas, and the Vertex of the New Moon chart square the New Moon in Cancer. Our New Moon is in Libra, sign of partnership and pleasantries, promising gracious interaction, co-operative ventures, and civilized interludes of action or romance, but that isn’t the picture provided by the aspects, suggesting that these Libran veneers will overlay something much more dynamic and passionate. The inclusion of Zeus suggests the New Moon as a birth point for strong ambitions and desires in matters of the natal House where this occurs, and/ or in matters of mating/ partners, co-operative efforts, the Arts, diplomacy, and in any area where one is trying to achieve a balance, internal or external. We should expect our wants to make themselves known, and our ambitions for ourselves or others (through the mechanism of partnership) to be very very clear. This inception point brings forward the inclination to realize (in a material form) our wants (Cardinal influence) and to desire/ require the partner’s support, or the general co-operation of others (Libra), and there may be a relatively unreasonable requirement to do it all politely, with big smiles on our faces and songs in our hearts–at least, that may be what the individual requires all others to do, as they push one-pointedly  toward goals–others are expected to co-operate! Some will become ambitious in relationship, making the big play to win the heart (or at least the surface co-operation) of the potential partner. All well and good, with a bout of ambitious boosterism and a strong push forward in making desires realities on the agenda for October, though we must be aware of what we might have to do (Earth aspect to Mars) and what it all might cost (Earth aspect to Venus)–Zeus can place want (and especially our lust for something) way above everything else.

For Libra-fresh mornings, get this sign on a mug! http://www.cafepress.com/dogandsunflower.470044671

But there’s more: Earth quincunxes Mars and Venus and sesquiquadrates Pallas, suggesting that in terms of the material, the vibe may be specifically balance/ imbalance oriented, with efforts to work it out between male and female, active and passive, outgoing and receptive, or energy may center in the matters of the Houses ruled by Mars and Venus in the natal chart. These may be the areas where a balancing act is required, with no real hope of resolution, as the middling ground must be sought and maintained, despite those Zeusian desires that would push results strongly in one direction or the other (see all about the meaning of Zeus here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/eclipse-in-depth-astrology-for-the-21st-century/ and also see more about this New Moon, ‘What You Won’t See on the Blog’ in the Summer issue of ECLIPSE http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/) The aspect to Pallas says that we may have to tinker with, or make allowances to, what we know to be wise in working this out–our traditional wisdom viewpoint may need some modification in the face of what’s presented.

Lastly we have the Vertex of the New Moon chart drawing a T-square with the Sun/ Moon/ Earth axis of the moment; this implies that fated matters may draw us off the course set by the New Moon axis, and this means that some will struggle to find balance and realize desires and ambitions, as something will inevitably interfere. One may reach out to make ‘it’ happen, only to find someone or something coming between the Self and the goals. In this instance my thought is that one must accept the hand of fate as a pronouncement of sorts, a statement that what one is striving for is not meant to be, at least not at this point. If we accept this, we take the struggle out of much of the period, and replace it with acceptance that lets us get a clear look at what we’re working with, and perhaps brings to light a new path–perhaps freeing us from the Sabian symbol for this New Moon.

The Sabian symbol for the New Moon degree is both simple and infinitely complex: ‘Circular Paths’ This may emphasize the way our actions lead back repeatedly to the same spot (implying we must do something differently, to break the cycle, or that we need to accept that this is in some way is our destiny, inevitable), or may suggest the ‘All this has happened before, all this will happen again’ nature of the Universe, or may emphasize the completeness of any and all choice, as choices without doubt feed back upon themselves–a matter of realizing that choices don’t have consequences so much as keep us enclosed in a circuitous loop of reasoning, a way of making the world manageable and coherent–and that this isn’t negative, but may be limiting, and result in too narrow an experience (or too narrow desires, making us set our sights either too low or inappropriately, wasting our Zeusian rocket fuel!)

I must say that my ‘vacation’ has been anything but; many thanks to all of you, though, as your kind messages and heartfelt wishes helped so much to lighten the darker hours, and especially helped to make my birthday a special one!

4-11 October 2010: Taking Off

Tags

I apologize for not getting back here sooner; a series of tiny emergencies, crises, and surprises came up that demanded my attention. Since this is my Solar Return week, I’ll be taking off for a while–and hoping to take off with a couple of new projects, so, no more daily posts until next week. I will be back sometime between now and the New Moon with a post on the Lunar event; with Dark of the Moon in play right now, and other influences outlined in ECLIPSE http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/ (and all publications will still be available–we’ll keep the presses manned! though I will not for now be accepting anymore Juno ‘thank you’ questions), plus the wide range of forecasts accessible through the blogroll, I think all readers will be satisfied.

For me Solar Return time is always a little melancholy, and I tend to review my Solar efforts over the past year carefully, assessing just how well (or not) things have gone. So, I may come back to this site with some changes to the routine, and possibly some big changes to my life. I told you all about the first ‘end of the world’ dream I had a few weeks ago; I’ve had more since. Then they became centered on other major changes, all of a destructive or frightening (from the worldly point of few) nature, until I dreamed of hovering over a road with a young woman and an older woman, both of whom had just died.

You can imagine what I was wondering the morning after that dream! Was I coming to the ‘end of the road’? After examining the possibilities, and (finally!) accepting that death could be on the horizon, I had another dream, which I think now was what all the other dreams were leading up to: I was living a completely different daily life than I do now–and I say ‘completely different’ only in that I was not occupying my time with astrology; I was instead doing what I’ve wanted to do since childhood, but have only sporadically indulged in. This had become, in the dream, my full-time job.

So part of what I want to do this week is to explore the possibilities, though I know I won’t entirely stop doing astrology (how could I?) I may change much of what’s going on. My Solar Return happens during the Dark of the Moon, and I can’t recall another year when that has been so (but may investigate during my time off); the SR will also see the ASC at 29 degrees, on my Venus/ MC midpoint, 4 other energies in the chart at 29 deg, Saturn within minutes of exact conjunct my Mars, T Juno conj my natal Pluto, and so on, certainly suggesting at the very least crisis and change. I know I will continue the magazine, at least for now; a new issue arrives at the end of this month, featuring work by Jude Cowell, Karen at Ravenesque, and of course, me.

‘Til I return with the New Moon report, have a great one, and I wish for all of us, that our dreams really do come true!

1-2 October 2010: A Cancerian Mandate

Tags

, , , ,

The Cancer Moon is between engagements at the moment, with her next contact not coming until 4:30 AM of the morrow PDT, and that with quincunxes to the very close conjunction (only 24 minutes apart, at that point) of Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius. Then we’ll see emotional pressure (or perhaps intuitive prompting) to deal with thoughts of hurtful fantasy, creative healing, or ideals and skills united and applied–your choice, if you’re conscious enough of the energy when it comes forward.

At the same time the Moon will trine Jupiter in Pisces and effectively create a Grand Trine with Jupiter and Pallas, with all components in Water. It’ll be like taking a Wisdom bath–will you open up to it, or perceive it as a distraction? This latter possibility is spurred by the Moon’s soon-to-perfect quincunx to Ceres, which for about half an hour makes a Finger of God with Moon apex and Chiron/ Neptune base, pointing out for us just how disaffected or misunderstood emotional energy might act as the outlet for unconsciously held Neptune/ Chiron energies. Avoiding both fooling oneself and dwelling on hurts is required for maximum, positive use of this energy.

By 6:30-ish AM PDT of the 2nd the Moon will square Vesta in Libra, implying a true emo conflict over values, the home, or the sex life (!), followed around 8 by the Moon’s aspects to Uranus, Pallas, Ceres, and Mercury. This excites a great deal of enthusiasm, mental energy, and the drive to take authority oneself and act–really, with some openness to adjustment, a tremendously positive energy to implement your own agenda.

Void begins 8:32 AM PDT of the 2nd, with the Moon entering Leo at 11:20 AM PDT. Then we see the Moon quincunx Pluto around 3 PM PDT, calling for adjustment of the emotional perceptions to something dark in our midst–this is very likely to have echoes of previous choices surrounding it, and reverberations we’re not yet aware of for the future (as the North Node moves steadily toward our anti-hero!)

Around 11 PM PDT the Leo Moon quincunxes the North Node and sextiles Saturn, perhaps asking us to accept reality and adjust our goals accordingly. The Moon sextiles the Sun in the 4 AM hour PDT, as if letting the Solar energy sitting in partnership know, ‘I haven’t forgotten about you, I’m just off on my own (Leo) for a while!’

So what do we do about the 1st and its long, open, Lunar aspectless stretch? We read ECLIPSE for the October outlook, the lowdown on Venus Retrograde, ‘What You Won’t See on the Blog’ for New and Full Moons here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/ or we curl up with our computer and read about our own empowerment http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com and we check our natal chart with the expectation that wherever the Moon is passing, the matters of that House will receive some emphasis–and then we accept our Cancerian mandate (one that says we must examine what we care about), and we go forward and have a great day!
