‘Moonrise Over the Dunes’ By Eilif Peterssen 1883 {{PD}}

The 12th is a Good Day To . . . take stock, especially of material goals and desires, as the Full Moon brings security, prosperity, comfort, and stability-related matters to a head. Falling at 19 Taurus 51, 5:33 AM Pacific time, and closely conjoined Vesta, this Lunar event promises materialization in physical form of sensory or ‘sensed’ information, particularly that involved with commitments, the home and family, and the personal ‘passions’, and prompts discovery and definitive communication, even successful contracts (Mercury opp), this latter having an unusually stable ‘moment’ even in the midst of the retrograde.

Along with the Black Moon Lilith point this Full Moon forms the base to a Finger of God with apex the asteroid Zeus. The Finger takes the harmonious expression of the two base energies and funnels it into a third, likely unexpected, outcome shown by the apex energy. This Finger suggests Lunar conclusions highlight matters denied, ignored, or that enrage us, probably prompting action that results in ambition or desire fulfillment. It’s as if a clock has been ticking, and the Full Moon brings it to ‘the appointed hour’, creating a confluence of energetic trends that move forward the personal agenda.

The Full Moon also contacts both Saturn and Pluto, straddling their transiting midpoint by trine, and sesquiquadrates Juno. These contacts speak to the power situation, to its exercise or suppression, and to whatever influence and privilege the personal status affords. It presents us with a difficult situation related to our empowerment or standing that can be resolved by finding an intuitive/ emotional balance between discarding elements and cementing other elements in place. These aspects simply emphasize the message that is part and parcel of a Full Moon in Taurus, anyway: that establishing a reliable foundation and the prospect of continuity in resources and alliances is the optimum use of energy, right now.

The Sabian symbol for the Full Moon is, ‘Wisps Of Winglike Clouds Streaming Across The Sky’. The image may be best understood by drawing parallels between its symbology and that of the Sabian for the Sun, which sits in opposition to the Full Moon (as always!) and gives us clues as to the originating energy (as the Sun illuminates and so makes visible the Moon and gives it ‘phases’ to begin with). The Sun’s is, ‘A Woman Draws Away Two Dark Curtains Closing The Entrance To A Sacred Pathway’. Both suggest a covering or obscuring element that will be removed, the Moon’s by the ‘streaming’, which implies air flow (communication, information, or a shift in mental stance) that will at some point dissipate the clouds, the Sun’s by the woman (a force, like the movement within the atmosphere of the other symbol) as she draws the curtains aside.

The characterization of the clouds in the Moon’s symbol as ‘winglike’ suggests a lifting, even angelic, quality, in the sense of a divine gift or inspiration, or perhaps implying a general ‘elevation’ via Lunar events. This is so with the Sun’s image, as well, that by human effort clears the way, so to speak, to follow a divine path.

Influences also perfecting on this day suggest that in past wounds lie wisdom or the information that fosters a more practical or skill-oriented approach, and that efforts bring both opportunity and ‘luck’, especially if those efforts employ talents and assets or offer benefits to partners or others with whom you might cooperate.

Here’s wishing you a wonderful and enlightening Full Moon!

A Good Day To . . . is based on the aspects perfecting on each day, Pacific time.

New Moon in Scorpio 2019: The Sting of the Unexpected

The New Moon perfects on October 27 at 4 Scorpio 24 at 8:37 PM PDT. It falls in opposition to Uranus, which is only 12 minutes from being conjoined by Earth (always spotted in the flat chart exactly opposite the Sun); it’s also in wide, separating quincunx to Chiron, and sesquiquadrates the Black Moon Lilith point that currently falls in Pisces. We’re on the verge of a shock, revelation, or perhaps just a burgeoning emotional experience that launches efforts toward fulfilling a higher goal or purpose. It’s a goal or purpose with a spiritual component or ‘mission’ (but then what do we do that doesn’t have that?) and it seeks deep and meaningful change or correction (Scorpio).

What we’ve ignored or denied about the creative life, the ideals, the need to express our originality and uniqueness, or to be part of the larger Collective make for a difficult Lunar event, one we might want to frame as ‘testing’ (especially if events are perceived as negative–the idea of being tested then shows us the important part is our response, not the event itself). The New Moon challenges the current feeling nature, and it’s from this tension that the new and likely startling events or viewpoint arise. New Moon circumstances irritate the wound, but also suggest ways to respond and adjust, offering a fresh take on an old injury to the ego or the ability to take action or to lead (Chiron in Aries).

The theme of this New Moon is ‘Disruption’, but as to whether effects of this are positive, negative, or a mixed bag is entirely dependent on the way the NM interacts with the natal chart. One thing we know with a Scorpio New Moon: we may have to go through an emotional ordeal, or experience primal feelings that take us to the depths of human nature (the Moon, Scorpio as a Water sign), but we emerge from that renewed, refreshed, remade–certainly not the same, in terms of the feeling outlook or perceptions.

‘Seal Rock, California’ By Albert Bierstadt 1872 {{PD}}

The Sabian symbol for the New Moon is: ‘A Massive Rocky Shore Resists The Pounding Of The Sea’. I suspect this describes our emotional reaction to Lunar events. We may resist suddenly changed circumstances, particularly emotional ones, or it may be that we resist implementing what ‘the group’ offers or demands, or what our own originality urges us to risk. This may represent an extreme instance when we must choose between rigid and complete defiance and ‘going with the flow’. Just know there’s no right answer, just what’s right for you.

Bonus: if you have a natal point or placement at 18-21 Gemini (any minutes past the 21 degree point or before 18 means this isn’t filling in the configuration, and so isn’t valid for you), the New Moon offers a very personal result centered on the uncovering of or facing of some ignored, denied, or enraging issues, possibly resulting in gossip, revelation, or network shifts or support (Gemini) that brings a new emotional state or feeling, one that could be a shock, or that shifts the emotional perceptions to a ‘Higher Mind’ state or that unites you with or marks you as entirely separate from ‘the group’ (Uranus opp). The involved natal body or point energies combine with Black Moon Lilith’s righteousness (justified or not) or rage to create the New Moon emotional result, or if one rejects her energies, the act of denial or ignoring of reality forms the base to a Fist of God/ Thor’s Hammer, with the New Moon bringing the result of that interaction.

Or, if you have something at 2 Gemini, it forms the base for a Finger of God with Chiron, the New Moon’s apex suggesting the potential for healing, especially to the way you think about something or interact, socially or sharing information, with others.

‘Mountain Peak with Drifting Clouds’ By Caspar David Friedrich c1835 {{PD}}

We see our options and our problems quite clearly, and the question becomes, will we succumb to some negative message from the past that we still carry of our unlovability or lack of assets, or will we take what we’ve learned in the past, filter it through a current ‘power role’ (even if that’s just your individuality), apply ideals, creativity, and spiritual character, and come up with an idea or three about what we should do today? Either we embrace ultimate responsibility for what we can do with our lives, or we sit back and blame the past–today there’s no in-between.

(Perfecting today: Sun conj Juno and both sesq Saturn, Venus sesq SN, Finger of God with base of SN-Neptune, apex Mercury)

Good day to . . . take a positive approach, not just toward others or circumstances, but toward your own ability to affect and shape your life.

For those born with the Sun at 29 Leo. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). Will you serve as your own authority this solar year, through to your next birthday, or will you abdicate, out of a sense that being in charge is too much pressure? Dear Leo, I’d like to say this won’t make that much difference, either way, but that would be a lie. If you take responsibility for yourself and your life, you can open the way to an astonishing number of opportunities; if you say, No thanks, you may spend (another?) year treading water, rather than moving forward. In any case, what comes at you won’t be easy, but your response to it will make all the difference, and dictate how your life will spool out for some time to come. On your side: your instincts, when they aren’t marred by emotion, and your ability to discern what’s an actual barrier, obstacle, or ‘STOP’ sign, and what’s actually an invitation to apply yourself. Good luck!

8 August 2019 What’s Real

Sunset By Arkhip Kuindzhi c1900 {{PD}}

Smart, productive, practical or skilled action that pays off, gets us more or bigger, that delivers Love or Reward, only takes our attention and some initial effort–all the rest follows as a matter of course. It sounds so easy, right? Well, for once, it is, if we’re willing to focus–and of course, as always, there’s one other thing. Our awareness of the past is either showing us how we’re being held (or holding ourselves) back, or this awareness is offering a solid ground from which to launch current projects. Either way, you are shown what’s real, handed the key to accelerated profits, growth, or abundance–and that requires only a ‘Thank you’ to the Universe and a little bit of your own energy, invested.

I’m adding this small feature, pointing out timing and what it’s a ‘Good day to . . .’ I hope it helps!

Good day to go after a desired status, to deal with issues around fulfilling goals, to look around for Love (but don’t be aggressive, just aware and responsive, open to it), and to put creativity in motion. Once the Moon enters Sagittarius, just after 1:34 PM Pacific, the emotions and intuitions will be a reliable ‘power guide’, and can lead you toward ‘more’ in its desired form.

(A Finger of God forms with SN-Neptune, apex Sun. Perfecting today: Saturn parallel SN, Mars sxt Pallas, Venus trine Jupiter, Sun parallel Pallas)

For those born with the Sun at 16 Leo. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). You find yourself today, dear Leo, at an exact meeting of your past and your ideals. Together these have formed the present circumstances and so are the focus for this solar year, through to your next birthday. You are endowed with significant major creative energy, as well as the experience/ knowledge to use it wisely–just take care in deploying it, as those around you may see you as too status-focused, too concerned about your career, or too ego-centered/ aggressive–and that can lead to disruption in relationships and a lack of support, so at the very least keep a sort of ‘common good’ standard in mind. Your best bet, though, is to allow your highest ideals, and the needs of those relationships you find sacred, to act as a guideline. Dedicate yourself and your efforts to what you truly honor in life, and this coming year can be one of your most productive, ever. Good luck!

17 June 2019 Full Moon in Sagittarius: Denouement

‘The Banquet of the Officers of the St George Militia Company in 1627’ By Frans Hals {{PD}}

The Full Moon, at 25 Sagittarius 53, occurs at 1:30 AM PDT, and is apex to a Finger of God with base of Juno-Sedna–which sextile naturally catches the Sun, currently parallel to Mercury, at its midpoint. The only other viable contact is the Full Moon in (very) wide conjunction with Jupiter, its ruler. A Full Moon in Sagittarius brings a sense of ending, completion, or denouement, but one filled with optimism, that possibly presents new opportunities, and perhaps one that reveals needed knowledge, information, or ‘facts’, and these may either offer new directions to the individual or show precisely why the situation is viable no more.

Every Full Moon is a Moon-Earth conjunction, and this points up the way there is typically an emotional conclusion and a material one. Either we have a feeling reaction to what ends, or our feelings bring about the end of some physical situation, but in any case, there is both an internal experience and an external one, though certainly, the impact for one or the other varies with the individual. Some will feel the event is solely internal, others only external, but it benefits us to look at circumstances and try to draw the thread that connects our emotional state (of which we might not automatically be aware) and what’s happening, especially what’s coming to a close, around us physically.

The Finger suggests that what concludes arose from stress, in the clash between our status or a role that empowers us or where we can express ourselves, and our own instincts and our inability to follow them. Somehow our responsibilities, especially if we feel a certain amount of resentment or anger surrounding them, may be the foundation for this; our denial of those instincts, of our own needs or wants, is too powerful at this point to be dismissed–and so the events of the Full Moon appear, as the psyche manifests before us, possibly in exaggerated but also in informative ways.

We need to exercise caution: we may be acting from our ‘blind spot’, from some area or on some issue that we believe we understand or have dominion over, though in reality we don’t. We might also be mustering our instincts out of hurt or vengeance–remember, Juno didn’t take that disrespect dished out to her lying down.

The Sabian symbol for the Full Moon is, ‘A Flag Bearer In A Battle‘. The flag bearer is essentially a non-combatant, even though this individual risks just as much as anyone else out on the battle field. We may feel that we are simply a standard bearer, that we are ‘letting everyone know’, and so not really involved in the battle–and this tells us that’s a false perception, likely offering us a false sense of safety. And maybe that’s what we learn with the Full Moon events: that we can’t hold ourselves separate from the tumult around us.

The purpose of a flag bearer in battle is to help orient the soldiers to where their forces are gathered, and to how far forward, or how much in retreat, they are at any one time. So, for some of us this Sagittarius Full Moon may be a marker of sorts, one that tells us how much progress in ‘the fight’ we’ve actually made.

Dominique Lang ‘Matin d’hiver’ 1916 {{PD}}

The Sun, always vital in a Full Moon scenario (how else would the Moon shine?) has the Sabian, ‘Frost-Covered Trees Against Winter Skies‘. This suggests to me that Full Moon events were either set in motion last winter, or if we look carefully, we will see their origins there. At the time we may have had the impression that related matters (maybe even our feelings) were ‘frozen’–now we know they’re not.

No matter what happens at this point, we learn something, facts or how we feel–that’s the beauty of Moon in Sagittarius.

For those born with the Sun at 26 Gemini. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). This solar year for you, dear Gemini, may bring some a number of endings, especially emotional ones, and it may ask you to find a role in life that both empowers you and allows you to show and make use of your vibrant inner life. That’s a tall order, when most of us are just trying to make a living, but you have the capacity this year, through to your next birthday, to create/ find the perfect spot for you. As a natural consequence, this will change many things in your life, but I’m guessing you’re more than ready to show more of who you are, even as you heal your sense of yourself as a unique and interesting individual. Good luck!

12 May 2019 Getting The Finger

Today Juno and Mercury-Hygeia form the base to a Finger of God, apex Ceres, and there’s another Finger, with base of Ceres and Pallas, apex Mercury-Hygeia; also keep in mind that Mercury is contra-parallel Black Moon Lilith. Fingers hold a promise: if you can get the two base energies to work together (and the sextile indicates they are disposed to work harmoniously), then your result will be of the nature of the apex placement. Whether that’s good or bad, in your judgment, isn’t stated, but since I believe the Universe is always operating in our favor, I tend to interpret it in a positive light, while still acknowledging that there is a possible down side, as well, represented by the fact that both base energies contact the apex body by quincunx. The quincunx is an angle of contact of 150 degrees, with an orb of no more than 2 degrees in either direction. This relationship between entities always implies discomfort or discord, as each feels a need to adjust expression to the other, typically without finding accommodation. That means that the two harmonious energies that form the base get along, but that the outcome of their combining creates some sort of strife or anxiety, expressed through the apex energy.

In ‘getting’ a Finger configuration, we are offered a dynamic, and its outcome, without specifically laying out how this will be achieved, other than through interaction of the base entities. So, with the apex Ceres Finger, we’ll likely see healthy thinking, either about literal health and nurture or concerning security and safety (Merc-Hygeia in Taurus) as it’s carried out, through our personal venues of empowerment, possibly where we ‘mother’ ourselves or someone it’s our duty to care for (Juno in Cancer). The result is personal authority, a claiming of territory or dominion, especially dominion over another for whom we are responsible (Ceres), and this allows us one of several things: we are empowered to reach out, beyond our normal scope, or we learn or discover the facts, and bolster our power that way, or with this result we see our belief in our right to have power reinforced, or we may find ourselves empowered to negotiate in a way we haven’t been able to before. The result is power enhancement that carries a Sagittarian tone–but, what we have to keep in mind is that this doesn’t arise smoothly out of the sextile, but comes instead from some sort of discomfort generated by our need to know, to express power, to acknowledge our belief and its ‘rightness’–that is, to express Ceres in Sagittarius–with the possible implication that this isn’t nurturing or ‘healthy’, as we’ve been expressing these qualities.

The Finger apex Merc-Hygeia is based on the power of knowing, information, outreach, belief, or in vested authority (Ceres in Sag) blended with the wisdom of cooperation, diplomacy, and partnership (Pallas in Libra). Together, these create a way of thinking about material assets, comfort, supplies, security, or talent expression (Mercury in Taurus) that arises out of some discord between the personal authority we hold (Ceres) and what’s wise (Pallas) and may bring into question whether our efforts are ‘healthy’ or not (Hygeia–and that means healthy in the way those efforts do or don’t harmonize with our current ideas of what’s wise, or what’s a positive expression of our power). The contra-parallel of Mercury to Black Moon Lilith adds dimension; our thinking may be plagued by all that we’ve been ignoring or denying, or we may find ourselves enraged by the fact that we must even question our ideas of our own privilege, the concepts of cooperation and partnership, or what, in the overall scheme of things, is truly wise.

Setting the table for your year ahead. Art by Peter Ilsted {{PD}}

For those born with the Sun at 22 Taurus. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–together these offer a more complete picture of your year ahead). The world is your oyster this coming Solar year, through to your next birthday, Taurus, as long as you can bring yourself to cooperate with those who can ‘make it happen’ for you. That means you’ll need to know the score, have a good grasp of the facts, and be optimistic, even if that’s not your natural default. Fairness will be of paramount importance, so don’t ignore the needs of others, and do set needed limits and claim your power as your own. Being unafraid to make changes may be key, and don’t balk at carrying a little more responsibility–that leads to both more complete understanding and more extensive control. Good luck!

4 May 2019 New Moon in Taurus: Healing Through Instinct

‘Cures’ come in many forms.’The Last Message’ By William Hatherell 1917 {{PD}}

If I had to sum up this New Moon day, including the non-Lunar related aspects, I’d call it Healing Through Instinct. This is the form of instinct that knows our wounds, and so our needs, that is aligned with our ideals, highest values, and most sacred feelings, and that calls upon both inner wisdom and personal authority (the latter in the form of both a sense of understanding and an awareness of one’s domain). This is the inner voice that speaks for the Soul, and for your truest intentions; it’s not always easy to tell it from the voices we’ve incorporated from caretakers and authorities, or that express contrary and Self-destructive impulses, but today, we can be assured that the inner voice, the inner impulse, is very much our own, and expressing in concert with our highest aims, to make some sort of New Moon new start, one with a Taurean flavor and so likely having a material aspect or impact.

The Sun and Moon meet at 14 Taurus 10, at 3:44 PM PDT of the 4th. The New Moon as a singular occurrence is very much a conscious one; it’s the accompanying non-Lunar aspects that add subtlety and instinct to an already intuition-raising event. The event itself makes a semi-sextile to Vesta, a novile to Chiron, and forms apex to a Finger of God with base of Pallas-Ceres. The contact to Vesta insures we are aware of our values specifically because either the origins of the New Moon event or the event itself contrast mildly with our stated, conscious standards; this requires a confrontation with the primal wound, and shows (via the novile) a genuinely brilliant way this can be healed.

As the apex of the Finger, the New Moon is in some way the outcome of knowledge or facts (Sagittarius) that support or express our personal position of responsibility or authority (Ceres) and that then engages in cooperation or exchange of this wisdom or practical information with others (Pallas in Libra). This New Moon may manifest as an event of inner healing that has an unusual external component; this healing is facilitated by the partner or well-meaning others, in some way utilizing the acquisition and sharing of knowledge, and the clever way it discomfits our values and beliefs, challenging us to re-shape them, just slightly, in order to fit their real-world expression.

These two are meeting the world with style. By Beinecke Library – Flickr: [Photograph of a man wearing a top hat and a woman with a lace overskirt], CC BY-SA 2.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=16215370

The Sabian symbol for the New Moon is, ‘Head Covered With A Rakish Silk Hat, Muffled Against The Cold, A Man Braves A Storm’. In this instance, I take the symbol to be an example of how to face what comes up at the New Moon: even if it’s difficult or uncomfortable (the storm), one should not only dress for the occasion (be prepared) but should take a daring, confident, and even playful approach to trouble, which in this case is likely the wound that needs healing and the circumstances that brought it forward. That is, don’t take yourself or your problems too seriously; a sense of proportion and humor will bring benefits and spark inventive solutions that aren’t available to those who are reverent of themselves.

(Add to the New Moon influence the perfection of Juno and Venus novile Sedna, Mercury parallel Sedna and sesq Ceres)

For those born with the Sun at 14 Taurus. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–that offers a more complete picture of your year ahead). The year offers you a fresh emotional start, dear Taurus–will you take it? Or will you insist stubbornly that the course you are already on is the only smart way to go? Because that wouldn’t be smart at all. See this coming Solar year as a chance to start fresh with yourself, and to re-make your relationships in the image of your highest ideals. What you find sacred should be your guide–but again, don’t be stuck, be willing to admit when those things you are honoring by rote no longer make sense–and as well, admit what in your life needs to be added to the pantheon, to be given more regard than it is right now. Good luck!

Anaretic degree, astrology, Born Today, Finger of God, For those born today, Full Moon, Moon in Libra, Mystic Rectangle, Sabian Symbols, The Lunar Essence

By Hans am Ende – http://www.kettererkunst.de/, Public Domain, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=69337605

The Full Moon falls at 29 Libra 06 at 4:11 AM Pacific time. A Full Moon in Libra promises an ending, culmination, conclusion, or end of a phase, probably keyed to a relationship or to many relationships, as the individual assesses their part in a larger, group picture. We see some dénouement occur with a partner or spouse, or even in a situation with an enemy, and this opens a way forward. Cooperation and diplomacy may start or stop, and events at this time may show us, most importantly, who’s on our side, who’s not.

Falling in an anaretic degree, this Full Moon is under stress; the FM fills in an Air Grand Trine with Juno and Black Moon Lilith, pointing toward Full Moon events as a safety valve or means of balancing emotional and mental issues around empowerment and what we have chosen to ignore or deny. The FM is also apex to a Finger of God, with base of Venus sextile Sedna, which suggests that what culminates now is a combination of instincts and values, that kind of automatic response that springs from a prompt generated by what we care about. It seems we’ll be driven largely by what we’re only partially conscious of, with the FM showing us, in big, bold terms, the results of such a stance.

There’s also a loose Mystic Rectangle–or rather, a tight MR except for one loner, expansive Jupiter–everything else sits at 29 degrees of their respective signs, implying that a Jupiterian event or figure comes along and lights the match to the Full Moon, Juno, and the Sun. In his own sign and newly retrograde, Jupiter may be the key, the attitude of overdoing, the hubris, the god-like individual, the casual imposition of the Will onto others, the exaggeration, the facts or beliefs used as a bludgeon.

The FM also opposes Hygeia-Uranus, both of which are within orb of the Sun as it approaches. This implies there’s an element of surprise, alarm, shock, or a group or avant garde influence–and is this a healthy thing, something we need to see, know, or understand, or is it detrimental, shaking up the world we think we know and so undermining our place in it?

The Sabian symbol for the Full Moon is, ‘Three Mounds Of Knowledge On A Philosopher’s Head’. I take this as a reference to the massively unscientific practice of phrenology, the study of the bumps and lumps of the head, and the mistaken idea that we can measure the level of someone’s wisdom and sophistication via this discredited methodology. It suggests to me some dodgy practice we engage in that serves to support our own assumptions and beliefs, rather than to reveal or clarify reality, even if that’s only the kind of Self-talk that has us looking for answers and yet insisting we can measure the validity of those answers with the very brain that came up short in the first place! Maybe it’s the superstitious reassurance offered by a lucky token, the Self-seriousness with which we approach our spiritual study or practice, the insistence on not stepping on a crack in the sidewalk (‘you’ll break your mother’s back!’) or the kind of thinking that labels some life elements as ‘spiritual’ and others not–these and many other versions of our ideas of ‘right living’, both minor and major, may need to fall by the wayside in order to allow a more objective perception of reality and the way the Universe actually works. For those longing for a more traditional interpretation of this symbol, I found a good one here, but would caution: always looking for the high falutin’ explanation of something is an example of exactly what I’m talking about.

We also inspect the Sabian for the Sun in a Full Moon scenario: ‘A Duck Pond And Its Brood’. This suggests that the origin of all this FM tension may be a group or familial situation, a Tribal attitude or expectation, perhaps, one that comes from being part of any group and while being in their ‘habitat’. That kind of situation can make it difficult to see circumstances any other way, between the force of habit, the influence of all those around us, and the ‘world’ (the pond) that seems to support only this one way of interacting. This symbol simply points to the way what falls away at the Full Moon may have been with us since early days, and may be, rather than something we’ve chosen, some old hangover from a scenario of which we’re no longer a part, or at least where we don’t play the same role we did when very young.

The product of this Full Moon, when all’s said and done, seems to be the ending of old, outmoded, misleading, and unproductive ways of interacting with ourselves, others, and the Universe. If we’re seeking clarity, and even if we’re not, the events of this Full Moon will help us find a little more of it.

For those who have the natal Sun at 29 Aries. Check your natal chart for the correct Sun degree (you may want to read both the degree number and the one that follows, if you have minutes on your Sun position–that offers a more complete picture of your year ahead). Something comes to fruition this Solar year, dear Aries, something that you’ve been working toward completing and have devoted a great deal of your energy to–even if you haven’t done so consciously.In fact, your job this year might be to become as conscious as possible of not only what you’ve set in motion, but how you can best respond and so direct the developments in your own life. It could be a time of revelation, particularly in terms of you seeing just how much sway you truly have. No longer can you say, ‘If I had my way, I’d . . .’ because you’ll see that you already do, and it’s all within your power. Good luck!

‘Conversation Tropiques’ By Paul Gauguin 1887 {{PD}}

There’s a Finger of God with base of Vesta and Mars, apex Pallas–could we ask for a better recipe for wise and practical actions that uphold our highest values? No, we really couldn’t. So there’s that, plus the potential for some really imaginative, creative, and inspired communication/ thinking–but it may spring from conflict with those ‘of status’ (or those who just think they’re in charge of us!) We may see everything from lies meant to outwit the boss to seminal ideas that inadvertently ruffle the establishment. It’s a creative dialogue, with yourself or others, and represents a potential bounty, so use it wisely. We also see the ways that caring about something may conflict with the accuracy of our perceptions of it, and we go out of our way to avoid hurting others–a very nice trend, indeed. Enjoy your Saturday!

(In addition to the Finger, Neptune and Mercury conjoin and square Juno, Venus sq Sedna, Mercury contra-parallel Chiron)

Today’s word image is a girl on a bicycle turning the corner. Of course, it’s the phrase ‘turning the corner’ that we fix on. In what way have you turned a corner of late, or is it happening right now? Are you in the midst of a significant change or shift? If so, pay attention, because it’s going to change more, and change things in different ways, than you anticipate. This is a ‘no going back, things will never be the same’ kind of shift, so take it seriously.

For those born with the Sun at 03 Aries (check your natal chart for your Sun degree!) I’m very happy to say, Aries, you have the magic touch this year, with Love, or Money, or maybe both. With a little effort, you can make what you want a reality. It’s all about making smart moves that don’t throw a wrench in your current life direction (because it’s a pretty valid path you’ve mapped out and are traveling, at the moment, highly reflective of your actual wants and needs), and about honoring instincts and priorities. And there’s two more things that will insure your Solar year, through to your next birthday, goes swimmingly: be ‘married’ to ‘the facts’ (no delusions allowed), and, though this may be very unusual for you, get out there and be social, not in an ironic, too-cool-for-school way, but in a genuine way that seeks only to enjoy the company of others (which means no snark and avoid overt judgments). Now, go have fun!
