Just a few things I’ve noticed that I’d like to bring up, along with a plug for Twilight’s Arty Farty Friday http://twilightstarsong.blogspot.com/2010/10/arty-farty-friday-paul-gauguin.html–you’ll love it, especially if you enjoyed the section on Gauguin and creativity in the Summer Eclipse http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/.

This weekend we have an active dynamic that says to me we’ll make some power plays, confident in the wisdom of our choices, but the results will be more an accumulation of something planted much earlier, and so impossible to know from our current reasoning whether our choices are good ones (unless, that is, we can take a moment and see that others may respond out of the past). We see this in the approaching Superior Conjunction of Mercury and the Sun (Superior referring to the fact that this is their conjunction when Mercury’s direct); Juno’s trine to the North Node (and learn all about Juno in the natal scenario and in synastry here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/); Ceres, the North Node, and Pluto are all moving toward conjunction with one another (material on Ceres here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/); Ceres at the rough midpoint of Vesta/ Pluto; other than Merc, the Sun makes no contact to the personals and neither does Pluto, and Mars is a bit estranged, too, but Jupiter jumps right in a touches just about all of them (a sesquiquadrate to Venus, quincunxes to the Sun and Merc, a trine to Mars) and that means tension x5, bringing forward grandiosity, exaggeration, and the temptation to overdo ‘it’ in those prone and/ or operating unconsciously–others may ‘broadcast,’ perhaps unwisely. With the Moon tracking through Aquarius this weekend, the tendency will be toward cool and collected, but for some this will overemphasize the rational, to the point where relationships become equations and the belief is we can think our way out of anything–not so, just to be forewarned. Add a little dose of your own Moon to things, to keep the emotions open and yourself consciously connnected to more usual ways of feeling/ intuiting.

And have an excellent weekend!

Dark of the Moon, ECLIPSE magazine, Juno, Moon in Aquarius, Moon in Pisces, My Daily Astrology Diary

So just after I complained about short Voids not allowing us a little recuperation time, along comes this Void and gives us a stretch free of Lunar feedback (and this may invite a few brains to run hot–it’s in Aquarius–a few tempers to over heat and a wee touch of rebellion to foment–that lasts through 1:15 PM Pacific time; that’s when the Moon enters softly persuasive Pisces–persuasive as we may just want to lie back and dream, with the first aspect not forming until 5:30 PM PDT. At that point the Moon sextiles Pluto, and we may be able to purge emotionally; there’s a possibility that during the after-Pisces-entry hours we could be a bit too receptive to the Collective schmutz and may find ourselves angst-y over things we grab out of the air, rather than anything in our own lives. This all takes place during Dark of the Moon (which began 2 AM-ish Pacific today), so that there’s an even further remove, a feeling of disconnection blanketing it all that serves to make everything a lot more nebulous, and everyone a lot more spacey, in their own way (that just takes away barriers to the personality, amplifying each of us–you get MORE of what you are!)

By 9 PM PDT the Moon trines Mars, both in Water; we can expect a feeling that’s like swimming: we’re making effort but it’s not the usual, we’re soothed yet anxiety can come on in an instant, we’re bouyed yet enveloped. Emotionally we’re working up to the conjunction of the Moon with Jupiter/ Uranus late evening Pacific of the 22nd and early morning of the 23rd which precedes the Cardinal Point Full Moon. Stress levels may be high and difficult to get a handle on, starting with this trine to Mars and building toward the Full Moon.

1 AM PDT of the 21st the Moon quincunxes Saturn–use this grounding moment (which will come through some small dissonance in consciousness)  to orient yourself and take a read on the situation. At this time we need all the grounding influences we can get.

5 AM of the 21st the Moon makes a Water Grand Trine with Venus and the South Node, and we get steeped in nostalgia (literally, the pain of the past) and awash with all our deepest longings and yearnings emotionally and for connection. The Soul is gently turned inside-out with emotion. Understand that, though likely involving some degree of pain, regret, and heartache, this is a very good thing to experience, because it lets us know what we believe would make us complete-and that’s typically not at all what we truly need or want for satisfaction in our lives. It’s a period of sentimentality that can have a purpose that’s quite useful at giving some perspective to things.

The Moon steadily moves toward opposition with Mercury, perfecting in the 11 AM hour PDT. We may feel this building, as the Dark period otherwise tones down most other, immediate influences, making some really pop. This could be a point of revelation, or a mini comedy of errors, as communication can be confusing, even messy, and of course, there’s the potential for confrontation.

Relaxing and envisioning might be my recommendations for this period–along with buying the NEW ‘Juno in the Natal Chart’ http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com or getting the Summer issue of ECLIPSE, which carries a large entry on this upcoming Full Moon, the Venus retro and how to handle it, articles, and the October forecast http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/

And! New at ‘Been There, Done That’ just posted ‘Your Relationship Power Balance’ http://askjulie.wordpress.com/2010/09/20/your-relationship-power-balance/

And have a great one!

Juno in the Natal Chart, Moon in Aquarius, My Weekend Astro Diary

So, I dreamed of the end of the world last night (let’s just say it was very stressful–fire and ice–and I think the trine between Juno and Ceres in Fire may hold a clue, power, authority, and means of empowerment dancing in my head!) and now it’s almost midnight and I just don’t want to go back to sleep. Ever. Of course that’s an exaggeration; I’m plenty tired, as I finished the final read-through editing for ‘Juno in the Natal Chart.’ I don’t kid myself–I know there are typos and glitches hidden in those pages, but I don’t think I can run my eyes over them even one more time. Now there’s some set-up of the manuscript to do, and then the book will be available, less than 24 hours from now. You can get a peek at the front page art here (scroll down past the wee animals and the hippos and scenery and such)  http://www.cafepress.com/potamusgoods And yes, this is nepotism at its finest; the artist is my younger daughter, Sam.

What jumps out at me when looking at transits for the 18th is something that reinforces the cautions given in ECLIPSE, but that has its own kind of resonance: Ceres is the arm of a T-square formed with the transiting Sun/ Earth axis=power issues, and particularly personal power, the kind that allows us to shape the course of everything within our reach, will be the centerpiece of the experience–a power trip, of sorts, when it falls into place, and tomorrow may be a day when we are faced with the limits of our power, especially the limits that are for our own good–and by that I mean, those kind of things that stop us in our tracks and later we look back and say, ‘Oh, that was really good that I couldn’t do ‘x,’ I can see why it was so much better for me.’  We’ll likely see limits that push us toward expressions of power that will very much be in line with our path (and if you’re on the right track, it may simply be a day of reassessment and adjustment, a reality check that could show surprising results and opportunities for progress). Ceres inherently carries the possibility of overstepping our boundaries, and this can show specifically in any area we are nurturing–the maternal bent can be too sure of itself, too prone to feel ‘Mother Knows Best.’ Just a caution that will keep some perspective on things.

With the Moon entering Aquarius at 12:35 AM PDT, we see a Lunar influence that wants to meet everything through the cool intellect–and for those who like to feel their way through life, this may be a little splash of cold water–it could seem like a mini-end of the world, as these individuals struggle (even resist mightily) the way circumstances require a high-end mental approach. Just as the mind needs the senses and the feelings, we must acknowledge that the intuition and feelings need the mind, too–sometimes it’s way easier to read the instructions than it is to ‘intuit’ what’s needed!

Now it’s off to bed. I’ve got to remember that, like the song says, it may just be the end of the world as we know it–since things are still spinnin’ I’ll assume it’s an end to a personal viewpoint, a tiny saga of mine, making way in my life for new beginnings 🙂

26-27 July 2010: Those Sassy Virgins

Moon in Aquarius, My Daily Astrology Diary

My attention is grabbed right away by a line-up in Virgo–I can’t look away, in fact, from those sassy virgins! We have Venus, Vesta, and Mars, each one five degrees from the one before. This would seem to say very little on the surface, and yet I feel that it may be the heart of a major dynamic through tomorrow. Virgo says attentive to detail, but critical; fussy, but open to nature; counting the harvest, but personally accountable, as well. What we have, then, are the basic man-woman drives, indeed, the drives that literally keep the human race going, in a dynamic tension around the Vesta component, and that could center on those things to which we dedicate our lives, that are sacred to us, and involve the home, and the sex life. Within the individual, it suggests an ego or action urge that must bow to relationships, values, and perhaps finances. Among individuals, we’ll likely choose either Mars or Venus–if we’re Mars, we’ll be the one pushing to act, to get our own way, or to express the Self, while if we’re Venus we may be saying, ‘Hold it! Our relationship, our finances, or the things we both hold as important should stop you!’ with the implication that whatever Mars wants could be destructive to existing assets. Vesta suggests that those things most honored, our home, or our intimate relations are threatened if Mars expresses–or at least, that’s what Venus wants him to think.

Resolution may lie in the quincunx Mars makes to both Neptune and Chiron, with his energy falling just between them. This could say that Mars may act if he’s willing to adjust, allowing for ideals (Neptune) and utlizing skills (Chiron) rather than just his usual lancing about. The Moon in Aquarius will move on through today and tomorrow to conjunct Neptune and Chiron and quincunx Venus, Vesta, and Mars. Expect an emotional opening up that arrives via intellectual understanding, probably starting around 1 AM PDT of the 27th, and continuing through the Void that begins at 12:21 AM on the 28th.

I think everything else is mostly a continuation of energies we’re already familiar with (and some that feel like they’ll never end!) There are a few things: Of course, today saw the Sun quincunx Pluto, which likely re-acquainted us with some things we’ve been able to ignore lately; the up side is we now know what needs to be handled, cleared out, tackled, or reformed. Mercury enters Virgo, 2:42 PM PDT on th 27th, emphasizing that whole Virgo vibe and upping the critical thinking quotient, and Juno may give Mars some assistance as she moves early evening of the 27th to sextile Mars in Cancer and offer empowerment through simple caring–she offers a gauge for the Martian assertiveness that helps the Self take others into account.

The Summer issue of ECLIPSE is here! http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/

Full Moon July 2010: Culminatous Interruptus

24 Saturday Jul 2010

Full Moon, Moon in Aquarius, Sabian Symbols

The Full Moon for July occurs on the 25th at 6:36 PM Pacific time at 2 Aquarius 59. First we’ll look at it using our strict 2 degree orb for events, then we’ll expand our view slightly, and see if this might bring in other, more subtle factors.

The Moon/ Earth conjunction in Aquarius has only two aspects, a sextile to Jupiter in Aries, and a semi-sextile to Pluto in Capricorn (and of course, the opposition to the Sun that is the reason for the event in the first place!) A meeting of Moon and Earth in a sign that’s all about cerebral concepts is not a great fit; the emotions and intuition ‘ground’ themselves in the material environment–an excellent concept in itself, connecting the emotions and extrasensory input to the physical surroundings, creating an understanding that is greater than its parts–but the sign in which this occurs, Aquarius, is mental, rather than intuitive, and doesn’t get any more physical than electricity, itself essentially invisible. That means our Moon/ Earth meeting, a time when the combination of these most ephemeral attributes in interplay with our material world should be coming to intuitive and emotional culmination through both the spirit and material results, will likely not reach a fulfilling conclusion, not because this isn’t available, but because we will try to translate things through the mind (Aquarius) only; there will be influences from our own dark or practical nature and from external destructive forces (Pluto in Cap) and pressure from the social sphere to perceive things in a particular manner that emphasizes ego fulfillment and separateness (the ‘I am society, and society is me’ of Jupiter in Aries).

What if we widen our orb? Does this make anything about the situation any clearer (or, what we’re really looking for, does it give us a way out of an inevitable misperception?) If we widen our orb to 3 degrees, we bring in a sextile to Uranus at the Aries Point, and a trine to Saturn in Libra. Hmm, this may help us pinpoint ‘trouble sources’ that could be what tries to push us in the wrong direction for a successful intuitive/ spiritual/ material culmination. The sextile to Uranus suggests, perhaps, two things: one, that our own rebellious nature, intellectual bent, Higher Mind, or wish to be different might steer us wrong–or, two, that a group or social cataclysm (not necessarily a disaster, but rather a group demand) might come forward and in effect disconnect us from our own intuitive nature–and so disconnect us from our chance to gain a sense of fulfillment and closure from this Full Moon moment. The trine to Saturn in the sign of partnership is amusing in this context: we may dig in our heels in a relationship that is just over, and that normally would be brought to an end with the energy offered by a Full Moon.

The Sabian for the Full Moon is ‘A Deserter from the Navy’–are we surprised? This is the abandonment of a cause by the most martial of water bearers–the individual who runs from something (in this day and age) to which he or she has quite willingly committed him- or herself. This suggests, in light of the Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto aspects, that the individual destructive and rebellious urges may win out, though with some caveats. Just because one runs away from the group doesn’t mean they are no longer a member–truly severing ties is quite different from the symbolic act, or the simply rebellious one. This may symbolize that ‘the ties that bind,’ which might normally end with this Full Moon, may drag on, with plenty of pointless rebellions, incidents of lashing out for freedom, and ‘pretend’ destructive or transformative episodes as a result.

The end of something may feel premature at this point; or, we just may not be done acting out, making our intellectual point to the other party or to the group. The energy is best handled with the understanding that the mentality is too active in the decision-making process to provide a truly accurate picture–and as long as we know that, we can accept that the rationalizing and reasoning that we may be inclined to will not get us to the heart of the matter. Understanding (Aquarius) that we are at a kind of midpoint, rather than a culmination, at least in energy terms, will help us embrace the positive portions of the Full Moon process (which strongly support mental accomplishment, original creative acts, and innovative activities) while minimizing the more dramatic, disaffected, or chaotic influences to our response.

Warning: the title is not a real Latin phrase–like in the old Roadrunner cartoons, I believe everything goes better with a sophisticated seeming taxonomic designation!

30 June 2010: We Face Our Fears

Christine N. Davis, Fist of God, Moon in Aquarius, Moon in Pisces, My Daily Astrology Diary

Most of the non-Moon influences from yesterday hold over, and keep much of the same atmosphere going. We spend the shank of the day-as they say in the old country 🙂 -eeking out those last hours of the Aquarius Moon, maybe straining a little too much to make the energies count–but today it may be better to wait until the Void (beginning at 3:03 PM PDT) to really apply ourselves. Why? Even though South Node and Juno were sesquiquadrate Neptune, we didn’t really notice–not until Mercury joined them, the Sun moved into proximity, and the Moon came along and triggered our notice–and now they seem to speak to us! Or at least, they’re in the corner, mumbling about our past, our need for empowerment, and those fears specific to our emotions–and the problem is, those fears that are our illusions, and even those things we fear might be illusions, are the Neptunian boogey man that lurks nearby and keeps us from dragging those worries into the sunlight and sorting them out. Zeus doesn’t help, as he squares the gathering in Cancer and makes the Fist stir up all our ambitions and desires, and the fears related to those. We may be wrestling with something along these lines by afternoon PDT, and once the Void begins, the fears and hesitancies will dissipate, and we can tackle whatever it is that’s on our minds.

The Moon enters Pisces at 6:10 PM PDT and conjuncts Chiron, and our first thoughts may be: Ow! Why the heck did I go digging around in all that emotional dross?! But then we’ll realize we’re being handed the recipe for healing that situation we’ve been embroiled in all day. 1 AM-ish PDT the Moon sextiles Pluto, and we come to terms with what it is that must change, be re-born, or go.

July will be here any minute–be prepared with ECLIPSE! http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ Thanks!

28-29 June 2010: Expanding Personal Power

28 Monday Jun 2010

Fist of God, Moon in Aquarius, My Daily Astrology Diary

Hello, kittens (said in my best Dame Edna voice–for the uninitiated, it’s reminiscent of Julia Child), I hope the eclipse was kind to you. Remember, our eclipse picture sets a tone for the coming six months or so, through to the next eclipse set–and of course, the eclipse of last Saturday was only the first salvo, with the Solar eclipse still to come on July 11th. Before then we will definitely hit a rough patch (already described in ECLIPSE)–what I can say to those of you who don’t partake in the magazine is that the 3rd of July is definitely the day to watch.

You’ll notice over the coming few weeks that the blogroll will steadily shrink. It used to be my desire to provide links to as many great (or good) blogs and sites as possible. I like to change it up, though, as you know from my constantly changing template for this blog, and now I’ll be winnowing out those who lack reciprocal energy of some kind. There’s no malice involved, just a desire to spotlight those with whom I’m more actively engaged, as now the roll is just too long to really give due attention to friends and colleagues; some blogs and sites will remain if, even though they don’t link to me, I have a specific reason to feel gratitude toward the individual(s) involved. If I remove your blog or site and you do have a link to this site, please let me know and I’ll re-list you immediately  🙂

Today is of course the Superior Conjunction of Mercury and the Sun, the Superior being the meeting that occurs when Mercury is direct. This should bring a wrap-up to some seed event or development that began concurrent with the Inferior Conjunction of Mercury and the Sun, during Merc’s retro period (the last Inferior Conjunction happened on April 28th). Even if you can’t pinpoint a specific event this refers to, you should be able to apply the intention of drawing something to a close to which you’ve been applying your energy. The influence allows us to wrap things up nicely, with less effort than we might have to make at other times.

Today is also a meeting of Mars and Vesta in Virgo. Our intrepid pair trine the North Node and sextile Juno, and give us the energy, stamina, foresight, and sense of competency to tackle whatever we like. We are able to see what’s important and apply ourselves very effectively–the Moon in Aquarius helps with mental acuity and focus. Take matters into your own hands, and access your best judgment–if you feel foggy just think about things for a second–it’ll all come clear.

There’s a Fist of God with apex Venus, base of Jupiter and Pluto, forcing our attention toward the ways in which we can expand our power base (and this may take a subtle form, for instance, where we look for ways to feel more personally empowered, to raise our level of impact on our surroundings). How do we do it? Through taking a loving approach, through relationships, through referencing values, through respecting assets. It’s an opportunity to do well and do good, at the same time, if you get my drift.

2-6 AM-ish PDT on the 29th the Moon trines Zeus and quincunxes the Juno/ South Node exact conjunction. This brings a period when the emotional need to ‘best’ others may come forward in the less mature among us, while for the rest it may bring emotional desires from the past to the surface, and these will likely concern some form of feeling empowered. We may be strolling down memory lane wishing for a do-over, as what we know now makes us wish for then–use the impulse to get some perspective on why things went as they did, and be gentle with yourself–if you’d known then what you know now, you wouldn’t be where you are now, would you? And we’d all miss you.

Notice the Saturn/ Neptune quincunx and the way this stirs things up, via the Moon as it approaches Neptune. Contact doesn’t actually occur until the 30th, but my sense is that we may feel this coming–Neptune reaches out with foggy fingers and brings some emotional insight into our feelings about whatever we’re perceiving as a restriction or constraint right now–what we need to remember is that our perception of the Saturnian restraint may be muddled, delusional, or misinterpreted, and that means we could work ourselves up in what turns out to be a ‘wrong’ direction. Try to remember that at present the entire picture might not be available to us, so we should just relax and ease into the Void, beginning 3:03 PM on the 30th.

If you’d like to be prepared for July, and the upcoming Solar eclipse, look no further than here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/

Update: I’ve already had an amazing amount of blowback to my email (not the comments here), some of whom approve of the trimming of the list, and some of whom are outraged that I’m doing it. What amazes me is that others even have an opinion–after all, isn’t it my option to list as many or as few links as I like? For me, trimming the list is an affirmation of positive relationships–but I should already know that when you choose to re-claim your energy from draining venues, psychic or material, or even just from being spread too thin, some will object. My question is, do any of these people complain about the lack of links on other sites? I’m guessing not.

3 June 2010: Mystic Rectangle Wants to Mess With You

Fist of God, Jude Cowell, Moon in Aquarius, Moon in Pisces, My Daily Astrology Diary, Mystic Rectangle, the Magazine

So the Aquarius Moon advances by 3 AM PDT of the 3rd to become part of a major Mystic Rectangle made up of Moon/ Neptune/ Chiron, sextile Ceres, trine Mars, sextile Juno. Exuberance can be the result, with emotional idealism supported by a sense of power, authority, and sureness, and it’s easy to get carried away, and ultimately hurt because of it. We’re high as a kite, emotionally speaking, and don’t seem to notice the punch poised to land from that Fist of God with apex Neptune and base of Zeus square South Node. By being too optimistic, we leave ourselves open to falling for something we’ve fallen for in the past, something ambition or desire related, about which we’re deluded completely in the now. Between the two influences we could experience a sucker dynamic that may leave us embarrassed, deceived, or feeling just plain foolish. Most susceptible time is during the Void (starting at 7:58 AM PDT) through the Moon’s entry into Pisces, at 10:33 AM PDT. Then the emotions are united most closely with the potential for hurt from the preceeding events; if there’s any real injury to be felt, this is when it comes forward. Forewarned is forearmed.

At this point our attention may be drawn to a daunting Grand Square–Juno, Jupiter/ Uranus, Ceres, Saturn. Wasn’t it already in place, you may wonder? Yes, yes it was, but tension with the Moon almost always takes precedence in the experiential realm; when the emotions are engaged, the rest of the world may go by with little notice. So now our attention is on a dynamic requiring the individual to balance the relationship to power; this can be internal or external, but will almost certainly be spurred by something out in the world that causes conflict. Those who know themselves, and have a realistic idea of their own place, will fare best.

Around 8:30 PM PDT the Moon trines Pallas, and suddenly it all makes sense; wisdom and emotional understanding prevail, and recent events and reactions are perceived fairly clearly for what they really are, and what they really mean. This should, for the most part, be an immense relief. By 8 AM PDT of the 4th the Moon quincunxes Zeus, and the emotional toll of our ambitions and desires comes to the fore–but at least we had the previous 12 hours or so to heal and re-group.

There’s a lot to talk about with the upcoming New Moon of the 12th; though the basics will be here at the blog, consider getting the full picture and details here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ as well as material on the eclipses, Ceres, synastry, and so much more! Includes submission guidelines if you’d like to write for the mag (paid!) and a free mini-reading on Ceres with each journal purchase-just email me your data, or submit it with your payment under special instructions to seller.

And Today’s Link is a timely heads up for the upcoming eclipse and the possible implications politically by the excellent Jude Cowell http://www.starsoverwashington.com/2010/06/lunar-eclipse-conjunct-pluto-june-26.html

Aquarius, Moon, Moon in Aquarius, My Daily Astrology Diary

UPDATE: In visiting my page this morning, I realize that WordPress managed to drop at least two paragraphs between me pressing the publish button and it appearing on the page. My apologies, as it reads like nonsense at this point! I’m going to add some material that fills in what I meant. jd–Okay, I hope what I’ve added fills in the missing gaps. This isn’t the first time paragraphs have disappeared, but I don’t really know what to do about it. jd

I don’t have much to say about our lovely Aquarius Moon, as most of the aspects it makes for a while will be mildly pleasant ones, at best, and our reactions and thought processes will clip along in Higher Mind, Water Bearer-fashion, essentially continuing the rather thin-feeling atmosphere that exists right now–I say thin as people still seem a little discombobulated from yesterday’s wallop (seems to have left us all reeling with draining and yet mostly unexplainable experiences), and the thinness of the air is like being at very high altitude; we’re talking, smiling, going about our business, and yet immensely distracted, ready to retreat to sleep or giddiness at any moment. Such is the Aquarian Moon tendency to encourage retreat (or perhaps better said as rebellion from day-to-day realities) when we are feeling stressed, or just sense the elements of life pressing too close.

A Grand Cross is formed starting around 4:30 PM PDT today, the 5th, with the Sun/ Earth (+ Pallas) axis, the Moon, and Mars in Leo. This suggests the emotions will contradict (or maybe even light up and get going) the action urge–no matter which, we’ll see that our feelings and ego aims will not serve our intended direction. Should just generally make each of us feel at odds with our efforts, as if the timing is off, or as if we’re missing a piece we need to successfully go forward (and that’s probably Merc retro). All we can do is try to minimize the internal (and possibly external) discord by making sure our emotions are aboveboard and aligned with our goals.

1782 JE Bode Wassermann/ The Water Bearer

The Cross lasts through about 10:30 PM PDT. The only other aspect that draws my attention is the exact quincunx at this point of Vesta and Jupiter, with the Moon opposing Vesta starting around 2 PM PDT on the 6th. This suggests the slower aspect (Vesta/ Jupiter) provides some ongoing need for adjustment between the social arena and the things we hold most vital (and this can mean we need to adjust our own ideas of what’s sacred–for instance, not treating our own words and thoughts as inviolable, as this may go beyond Self-respect to completely unreasonable). The Moon comes along and adds emotions and intuition, perhaps in the form of resistance (the opposition) to the need to modify what we believe is above modification. This generally sounds like we’ll all be asked, one way or another, to consider that something we treat with kidd gloves needs to be reevaluated–whatever it is, it’s received a position on our personal altar–and it doesn’t belong there!

There’s a coming conjunction of the transiting Sun to Sedna, window imo starting the 6th and lasting through about the 15th, and this includes the period of the New Moon. If we can’t see the light, well, how do we know what’s what? Mostly, we don’t; this says expect a period wherein our very reason for being may be elusive. The remedy is to stick to what you’ve formulated prior to this, to what you know yourself to be when not under this influence, and continue–it’s not a time for deep Self-questioning. More Forecast available below with ECLIPSE. (This is a wider time span than I gave the transit in the mag, but I’m now feeling that it’s much more noteworthy than I first thought).

 And here’s a little flashback to a previous Mother’s Day https://juliedemboski.wordpress.com/2008/05/13/the-mother-of-them-all/

And of course, don’t forget to get your copy of the Spring issue of ECLIPSE! with more stuff (that’s terribly descriptive, isn’t it?) than ever before! Includes 3 Months of Forecasts, material on Uranus into Aries, Chiron into Pisces, and the many faces of the asteroid Ceres http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ Purchasers of the mag may contact me for a brief assessment of Ceres in their own chart; this is my ‘Thank You’ for your support! Please be patient–I’m handling the Ceres requests in the order they come in, so it may be as much as a full week before you receive your reading. Thanks!

Ceres, Moon in Aquarius, My Daily Astrology Diary, Pluto, Saturn

So, I had a post I was ready to write, but really don’t want to devote so much time to it, even though I’m seeing and hearing about it from many, so here’s a summary: if you’re giving something away, really give it away; if you start feeling resentful or have expectations that something specific will come back to you from the giftee (or worse, that it should come back to you, because they should be grateful) then this was not a gift at all, it was a demand. Saturn is giving many hell right now (remember those people who insisted on saying, “Heaven-o” when they answered the phone? No reasonable person should take it that literally–would it have helped for them to know that ‘hell’ means ‘light’ in many Germanic languages? Probably not) and, still involved with Pluto, brings forward some strong Saturnian needs, which often include expectations we have of others, especially when we’re not getting our material reality needs met–Pluto digs up our deep fears, our power needs, our trepidation over our own possible destruction, that we might ‘poof’ disappear entirely, and applies it to our reality (Saturn)–and so there’s a tendency to demand from others proof that what we’ve done is worthy, that we are not pouring our energy into an abyss, that we will not dwindle away to nothingness, that we are significant. One of the most basic lessons of the Universe is that we should not necessarily expect our flow to come out of the same pot we’ve contributed to; remembering that, plus being truly honest about our expectations, having no ulterior motive in interaction (as this contaminates the result; it means that even if we get what we want, it will not satisfy the need), will serve us well as the square bedevils us for some time. (And with Saturn going direct in less than 2 months, and Ceres cozying up to Pluto as we speak, we can expect an even greater crisis–or is that circus?–surrounding power and authority issues as they affect our status, place, and our reality.)

This morning my husband, ready to leave, said, “Is it going to rain today?” Cue hail! Big thick sheets of ice stone, chattering on the pavement and bombarding the garden; but now, after twenty minutes or so of downpour, it’s becoming incredibly beautiful out. The sky has cleared and lightened to a pale, pearly blue, the cedars are bejewelled with beads of water, and there are robins everywhere. Could I ask for a better harbinger? No, and neither could you; each of us is a translator for the Universe, and we do each other the service of seeing, speaking, interpreting–and what I’m seeing is a clearing of skies, a resolution to pressures and goals, that has a much better outcome than we’d previously anticipated. Relax–it requires nothing more of us than to be.

There are only a few things I want to mention: about midnight PDT on the 8th the Moon will oppose Vesta with a T-arm of Sedna=we may quite literally at this point forget what’s most important to us, and the Aquarian Moon will be very accommodating, offering rationalizations that make our abandonment of values seem oh-so-reasonable–obviously, this will not serve our best interests; and by 8 AM PDT on the 9th Neptune will sit at the midpoint of a tight little Aquarian config with the Moon and Chiron on either side=a very tricky point in the day, all dependent on your relationship to Chiron and Neptune–those laboring under delusions, or nurturing fantasies, will suffer mightily, while those guided by ideals and seeking to use unique skills will get a huge emotional boost–try to be in the latter category.

And have a great one!
