3 PM PDT of the 13th the Virgo Moon squares Pallas. If we’re willing to challenge our emotional ‘read’ of things, the wise course, or the wisdom to be gleaned here, will be revealed. Void begins at 4:30 PM PDT; the Moon enters Libra at 12:41 AM PDT of the 14th.

14 July may be a day for purging our relationship to power or to Mother Nature, and for a re-aligning of balance between our own power position and those who have power over us. This all may be much more invigorating than stressful; we can look forward to a fresh take on our status and our effectiveness, a ridding ourselves of at least some things that aren’t working, and a re-invigorating of our Self-assertion, as knowing where we stand gives us lots of impetus to move forward. (Pluto quincunx Ceres)

The Moon enters Libra at 12:41 AM, and immediately squares Mars. We might feel very defensive in relationship or over spending or priorities. Though the partner or other involved person swears they’re only bringing it up because they care, proceed with caution: this interaction could be a minefield, with the other person just waiting (whether they know it or not) to get you under their thumb

From the current ECLIPSE:

27 March sees a Full Moon but also two strong aspects: Jupiter square Chiron and Mars square Pluto. Volumes could be written on the potency this pair might evidence, in the social sphere and in personal conduct; what we need to be aware of is how easily these influences can insinuate themselves into our everyday affairs, and though we’re unlikely to consciously notice what’s happening, we could become aggressive and destructive in the name of ‘standing up for our rights’, or we could witness society taking a wounding tack against some of its members (with Chiron in Pisces, that’s likely to be the idealists, the disenfranchised, the lost, the mentally unstable, the creative, and the generally vulnerable). There are many other possibilities, as well–our alertness to needlessly caused hurt or destruction is our best defense, along with a willingness to employ our energy actively and assertively for the good of all.

The March Full Moon in Libra occurs at 2:27 AM PDT of the 27th at 6 Libra 52:

‘Creative Development & A New Role’

The Full Moon in Libra comes less than a week after the Spring Equinox, and invites us into a partnership: with those who have status or who can offer us empowering circumstances (trine to Juno); with our own creative essence (a wide quincunx to Neptune); with an image-rich and intuitively-sourced form of communication and communion (wide quincunx to Mercury); to fight for beauty, for reward, for companionship and Love (opposition to Venus); and to take a new and possibly revolutionary place within the group, one bestowed through our own uniqueness (opposition to Uranus).

Something can be worked out,something can be healed, by the sea. By Jose Malhoa 1918 {{PD-Art}}

10 AM PST the Libra Moon quincunxes Neptune–it’s the same song all day, really, as the Moon goes on to quincunx the Sun and Chiron, and make hard contact to Pluto–weakness exposed, shame, wounds scraped raw, and the chance to transform it all into a state of acceptance and understanding, and a sense of empathy that can inform all we do. It’s your choice. Round about 5 PM Pacific the Moon trines Jupiter and opposes Uranus. This is prime time for embracing the parts of ourselves we feel others would reject, and for making a positive foray onto the social scene. A lot of healing can happen here.

From the current ECLIPSE:

10 AM PST the Libra Moon trines Jupiter and opposes Pallas. We feel like we should do it, and do it big, but oh, how ill-advised that would be! (Stupid seemed a little harsh, but would be just as accurate!) Step back, talk all you want, but do let some time pass before committing to that “great idea”. At 11 AM PST the Moon quincunxes Chiron; we are doing a dance, trying to avoid stepping on already-hurt toes–we may find it exhausting. Disengage, just a bit. 4 PM PST the Moon trines Vesta, and by 5 squares Pluto. In honoring all that we see as sacred, we may be inadvertently destructive, inexplicably filled with rage, or devastatingly final in our interactions. We may crush what we otherwise cherish–please proceed with care. An 8 PM PST trine of Moon to Sun may raise spirits, and chase away the gloom.

New issue arrives tonight Pacific time, featuring the article ‘Neptune and the Spiritual Quest’ as well as the complete aspect and Lunar forecast–order now!

Detail from 'Arnolfini Marriage Portrait' by Jan Van Eyck 1434 {{PD-Art}}

Detail from ‘Arnolfini Marriage Portrait’ by Jan Van Eyck 1434 {{PD-Art}}

1 PM PST of the 4th sees the Libra Moon trine Vesta, giving us a chance to re-align to our highest values through intuition or emotion. The Moon squares the Sun-Earth axis (6 PM Pacific) then conjuncts Zeus by 8. We may review our direction and the impact we’re having and vow to apply ourselves to fulfilling ambitions–at the very least, desire is stirred, especially in relationship.

January 5th  Mercurial issues are our ‘blind spot’ today, and this applies also to those things ruled by Mercury in the personal natal chart, including issues of the Houses the Messenger rules: all are potential minefields. Most troublesome may be the way our own or others’ ambitions and desires are highlighted (Sun-Earth axis square Zeus); this could make everything seem much more venal, Self-aggrandizing, or zealous than it actually is–we’d be wise to keep this in mind, both when assessing others and when presenting ourselves.

6 January  Communications (and thought processes) are a problem, and now they come with a warning label: ‘Highly Destructive’ (Mercury conjunct Pluto) UNLESS you keep intent firmly focused on the future as well as the reality situation–then this transit can act to create massive, highly positive changes akin to alchemy (Merc semi-square the North Node, sextile Saturn).

7 January Jupiter quincunx Juno perfects, and sets the stage for a major adjustment to be made, either internally, between our own animus and anima, or externally, likely in some power re-balancing where one side is active, Self-absorbed, and does not take into account the needs or feelings of the other, while the opposite number is passive yet angry and resentful, believing that the current position (or mere existence) requires others to offer a certain amount of deference. Today we must be willing to negotiate, to concede that others have rights, too, and to perhaps apply the theoretical idea of ‘walking a mile’ in the other’s shoes, in order to know whether what we want is really reasonable and fair to all concerned.

If you come here often, you may want to subscribe and get all the details–what’s here on the blog is just a sampling–this weekend, all subscriptions to ECLIPSE will be doubled, in celebration of beginning our 4th year–order now!

Collina (Lady Gertrude Fitzpatrick) by Sir Joshua Reynolds 1779 {{PD-Art}}

From the current ECLIPSE, available by subscription:

4 PM of the 8th, Pacific time, there’s a trine of the Libra Moon to the Earth-Vesta conjunction. The effect could be rash action, or choices that go against the emotional grain, that result in a solid, material embodiment of our highest values, or the dedication we have to home and mate. Interesting to inspect those results, as they will tell us what we’re really honoring.

The 9th of December we’re back to familiar upsets and clashes, some of which may arrive in new garb (and so not immediately be recognized as old hat). Mars quincunxes Vesta while Earth conjuncts her and the Sun opposes her; our actions and choices will need to be adjusted, if we’re to take what we consider sacred seriously; it will be obvious what needs to change materially, too, in order to comply with those highest, best values.

Void begins at 11:55 AM Pacific time; the Moon enters Scorpio at 1:51 PM PST on 9 December.

The Moon immediately trines Neptune, starting us off on the journey through Scorpio with a strong dose of intuition, creativity, and/ or easy delusion accepted without even realizing it. Attune to the emotions and feel the creative and spiritual flow.

On December 10th we tell it like it is, with Merc moving into Sagittarius very late in the day, Pacific time–disputes come from varying ideas of ‘Truth’, varying philosophies, or varying information or knowledge levels, and with Merc’s position in 29 degrees Scorpio through most of the day, secrets and hidden matters causing stress or exploded into the light could be the fuel for much communication upset–and a really unusual dynamic accompanies this: Venus opposes Sedna, semi-squares Pluto, and trines Pallas, making for some serious decision-making that may be preternaturally wise even as it’s unconscious, guided from the depths of our Being!

New Moon in Libra 15 October 2012: ‘The Moment of Renewal’

Cartel Tierra, generously released into the public domain by Tavoanguiano

The Libra New Moon occurs at 5:02 AM Pacific time of the 15th at 22 Libra 32

Using our usual strict 2 degree orb, we find only a quincunx to Sedna, and a semi-square to Juno–if we stretch to 3, we are able to add that trine to Vesta, which may be key to understanding the whole thing. A New Moon is a beginning, a dawning, and so may be a point when certain things (indicated by aspects to the NM) are revealed or occur to us. In this case, we may have been dealing with, even struggling, with a certain depth-note of our consciousness, one that applies to our own understanding of the life-death-life cycle and our role in it, specifically in the way we ‘die to’ different aspects of our lives, dive deep in a kind of meditative consideration of what is, then are renewed, somewhat changed from what we once were. This change is always aligned with, even dictated by, our highest values, the Vestal attributes of deep intimate relationship, home, dedication to a cause or ideal, and respect for these. This New Moon is the moment of renewal; we come up from the depths, draw in a deep, healing, re-initiating breath, and we see just where we are, where the changes are, and who we are, now. Aspects suggest that adjustments prompted by our go-deep exploration (NM qnx Sedna) will help smooth out impediments to empowerment (NM semi-sq Juno), and this will be accomplished by living our highest ideals, actually by seeing them shape the ‘new’ parts of the Self mobilized, as symbolized by Vesta.

Nagy, before 1937 {{PD}}

For Saturday the 13th:

Void begins at 11:48 AM PDT; the Moon enters Libra at 4:02 PM Pacific time on the 13th.

There’s an immediate quincunx of the Moon to Neptune, perhaps making us uneasy over the partner, or the level of cooperation we can expect; we’ll need to both adjust and let go of any fantasies we’re prone to in this regard.

A midnight opposition of the Moon to Uranus, a quincunx to Chiron, and a sextile to Mars may prompt us to project all our orneriness and our propensity to hurt ourselves or others ‘out there.’ Awareness that what we see outside us is really inside us has never been so appropriate.

And for Sunday the 14th:

About 1 PM Pacific the Moon finds the midpoint of Venus-Mercury. Whatever’s communicated/ thought concerning love or money may make us turn to the partner, or to an aesthetic outlet, in hopes of relieving some kind of tension. This could be good news–remember, that causes stress, too.

The Via Dolorosa, Jerusalem Lantern slide taken between 1898 and 1946 photographer unknown {{PD}}

This is an excerpt from ECLIPSE Weekly Aspect Digest, your place for daily forecasts with all the planets and lights (you too, Pluto!) asteroids Chiron, Vesta, Juno, Pallas, Ceres, Sedna, and Zeus, and all the Lunar contacts–if you’re here daily, even a couple times a week, subscribe now! and get it delivered to your email every Thursday. Thank you, and have a great mid-week!

For the 29th: 4 PM PDT the Virgo Moon trines Sedna. It’s easy to forget our troubles; take the vacation any way you can get it. 10:30 PM PDT the Moon trines Jupiter and sextiles Juno. For some reason it’s much easier to identify with the powerful philanderer than it is to sympathize with the one who’s been wronged.  If you feel like this, just try not to express it, as you know it’s a terrible contradiction to decent (and by that I mean your) values–and nobody needs a shame hangover in the morning.

Void begins at 10:51 PM PDT; Moon enters Libra at 3:46 AM PDT of the 30th.

The 30th is the day we see Mercury trine Zeus and square Mars. Yikes! Ambition and desire will drive interaction and communication, and we won’t be reluctant to wield a hammer (or spear, or tongs, or tweezers, or stapler, or fork, or any other metal instrument) in our quest to get what we want. If very carefully guided, this could give a tremendous boost forward–but most of us are just not that good as drivers. 😦

Your Weekend 4-6 May 2012 + the Full Scorpio Moon: ‘Pregnant With Possibility’

Portrait of a Pregnant Woman (Maria Leopoldine, Archduchesse of Austria) by Lippi 1649 {{PD-Art}}

All material is excerpted from ECLIPSE Weekly Aspect Digest; order here for the complete daily aspect and Lunar picture, and more (this week it’s an article about career and success markers, and a short bit on exhaltations). For Friday the 4th we have:

Just after noon Pacific time the Moon quincunxes Pallas; this could bring forward a round of Self-questioning, or inquiries from the partner, and either situation could shake our confidence in our own good judgment. As long as you can discern an emotional component to your thinking, there’s nothing to worry about, but if this is actually an intuition . . . then you’d better examine what you’re accepting as ‘wisdom’ long and hard.

Void begins at 1:34 PM PDT; the Moon enters Scorpio at 7:19 PM PDT, which just so happens to be the minute that the Sun reaches exactly 15 degrees of Taurus and the Earth does likewise in Scorpio.

For Saturday, we have a Full Moon in Scorpio:

The Full Moon arrives at 8:35 PM PDT of the 5th at 16 Scorpio 01: ‘Pregnant With Possibility’

This Scorpio Full Moon is without aspect to any other body under our consideration; this puts the search for meaning in two spots: the signs involved in the Sun/ Moon opposition, and in the Sabian Symbols for the degrees of Sun and Moon/ Earth.

The Sabian Symbol for Moon/ Earth is ‘A Woman, Fecundated By Her Own Spirit, Is ‘Great With Child’. This brings emphasis to the potentials of the Scorpio spiritual orientation and the idea that one can quite literally inspire a new beginning within oneself. This is a kind of immaculate conception that draws on our own Soul to fertilize the creative possibilities within the Self and conceive and gestate a new venture or creation, a new thing brought into being from the seed of spirit entering that fertile ground of Beingness.

And for Sunday the 6th:

at 5:30 AM PDT, the Moon forms the apex of a loose Finger of God, with wide base of Mercury/ Venus. This suggests that, in the midst of the emotional no-man’s-land, we could receive some cogent messages concerning relationships or finances–oy! The solution may be found in the nature of the Scorpio Moon; if we can let the info in without having to process it right away, we may have it for later conscious consideration, while receiving unconsciously reassurance about a Venusian subject. A neat trick, if we can pull it off.

If you’d like all the details for the Full Moon and the coming week, then subscribe! It’s only $5 per month for effective, detailed daily guidance.
