First thing, let’s talk about the Finger of God made by Venus late in Cancer sextile Saturn, both quincunx Neptune. This prompts some dreaming, and shows us the way to make it happen. Take notes and tuck them away–you’ll go through some emotional revelations for the day that will give you perspective, and by late evening PDT you’ll have a full picture on whether making this dream a reality is really something both feasible and desirable at a personal level.

Venus slips into Leo (1:50 AM PDT) and breathes a sigh of relief; she loves to coddle, nurture those she loves, and relate emotionally–but oh, to be in a sign where Venus can think about herself, that’s heaven! The Cancer Moon trails behind, and the mood may be a little lonely–I was just following love, it was here a minute ago–and the Moon looks around and finds nothing with which to commune. Finally the 7-8 AM hour PDT sees the Moon sextile Sedna, quickly followed by a quincunx to Earth, and our unsureness about how we feel makes us question our circumstances. Rather than being too concerned with the literal situation, we might want to ask ourselves if our material surroundings are really nurturing for us–the answer will be information we can use.

But let’s take a moment for Venus. At 00 she trines the Jupiter/ Uranus conjunction and a quincunx to Chiron. Today may light up our Venus opportunities, showing us how and where to expand, bring forward our originality, and perhaps to create a relationship with the group. The reward available to us with the Jupiter/ Uranus meeting may be a combination of matters of the Houses these rule in the natal chart, plus an infusion of energy to the House where Venus is now; the only adjustment we’ll need to make will be taking the time not to hurt ourselves or others, and with some luck, we may be offered a way to actually heal what hurts. Examination of the possibilities ahead of time will help us see them when they show themselves; we’ll know these are important and so put our time and attention to expanding their effect as much as possible.

By the 5 PM hour PDT the Moon makes her final aspects while in Cancer: a Finger of God with a base of Ceres and Neptune. In this instance we could get one of several combinations finding an outlet through the emotions, or that can be dealt with through the intuition: nature may co-operate with imagination to create something moving; negotiation could work it out with ideals and allow emotional expression that may have been stopped up before; the maternal may indulge in fantasy that allows some emotional succor; something along these lines will come forward, then go in an unanticipated direction, as the Moon enters the Void, at 6:40 PM PDT.

The Moon enters Leo at 8:54 PM PDT on the 14th, and immediately conjuncts Venus, trines Uranus/ Jupiter, and quincunxes Chiron. This likely allows the emotional reactions to the day’s Venusian revelations to come forward. We’ll see how we feel about what’s offered, and what needs to change; we’ll understand just how possible that ideal, dream, or fantasy we considered is, and we can take out those notes we took, and go forward.

12 June 2010: the Gemini New Moon

astrology, Moon, Moon in Gemini, New Moon, Sabian Symbols, the Magazine

The New Moon occurs at 4:14 AM PDT June 12th at 21 Gemini 23. Using our strict two degree rule, the Sun/ Earth axis of the Gemini New Moon makes a couple of minor aspects–but as we know, these are telling of the meaning picture we can expect for the coming Lunar month. First let’s look at the Sabian symbol for this New Moon: ‘Dancing Couples in a Harvest Festival’ http://www.cafeastrology.com/sabiansymbols_degreemeanings.html Gemini is the place for a twosome, alright, but for twins, related pairs, and the image brings to mind dancing partners, mated pairs, which implies opposites–and that signals we should pay direct attention to both what the Sun/ Moon aspects and what this pair’s opposite, the Earth, touches by aspect (normally we would concentrate New Moon attention on the conjunction and its aspects only).

The aspects directly involved with the New Moon picture are these: the Sun/ Moon forms a Fist of God here in Seattle with the Midheaven and Pallas. Since the Midheaven differs at any one moment by location, we must take this as specific to the North/ South axis along which a number of high profile enterprises lie, and see it as the possibility of the inception of something very public that involves commerce or guidance in some form, or perhaps an adjustment involving these (the sesquiquadrates)–and if we take guidance to suggest something like a search engine, then perhaps we’re looking at an announcement involving Bing (Microsoft) or Google, the Mountain View, California location of which shares the same Midheaven aspect, or if we emphasize commerce we may see something from Amazon (Seattle) or PayPal, which again shares a MC aspect at its San Jose, California location–or this could involve the major food producing valleys of California, since Pallas is involved with food as a commodity (and Ceres is in her own configuration at this time–see discussion of this, along with a lot more, in ‘What You Won’t See on the Blog’ in ECLIPSE http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/).  All these are possibilities that could affect many or all of us in some way, but for all individuals, one leg of the configuration is defnitely in force: the sesquiquadrate of the Sun/ Moon to Pallas.

This Sun/ Moon/ Pallas contact suggests the need over the coming Lunar month to modify or otherwise adjust to what’s wise or, secondarily, what’s necessary to conduct ‘business,’ which in the end is just the exchange of one thing deemed worthy for another–and the New Moon nature implies this may be a ‘first time’ for this accomodation. The Sabian of couples dancing does suggest entities working together, and the fact that the dance (interaction) is at a harvest festival says that this is a celebration, of sorts, where parties enjoy reaping their rewards. So, perhaps this is the beginning of a personal harvest of some kind, one that requires some adjustment, possibly simply of one’s attitude or communications (Gemini Air) but that pays off, nonetheless.

We musn’t forget the Earth in our analysis; it shows a quincunx to Sedna (or ‘Sedan,’ as I keep typing it!). What is it about our material position that we just won’t be able to see? We can look to the Sabians again for assistance: ‘A Chinese Laundry’ Whew! What could that mean? And why a ‘Chinese Laundry’? Do they hold some kind of ancient Chinese secret? 🙂

No–at least, the Chinese haven’t, as a people, shared anything like this with me, but what this suggests is the kind of industrious and needed labor that those newly arrived to a place are prone to take up–and that implies that the new venture, occurence, or life direction we see with the New Moon may necessitate that we humbly supply what’s useful and needed–that we, figuratively or otherwise, be willing to ‘start at the bottom’ in order to succeed–and this may be the thing we don’t see, when examining the New Moon picture.

Aren’t you tired of me pushing my new magazine? I’m a little embarrassed, frankly, but I’ll say it again: if you enjoy what you find here at the blog, you’ll love ECLIPSE  Take it home for a pittance (a pittance that supports my work and is truly appreciated) and find in-depth articles (and sometimes topics) you’ll see nowhere else, as well as forecast information available only in the mag–Get it! http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/

Dark of the Moon, Moon in Taurus, My Daily Astrology Diary

Ahhh! Dark of the Moon! Roll around in it; don’t worry, you’ll get used to the feeling of weightlessness, the disorientation, the dream-like distance of objects, people, even your own thoughts. So it’s a Taurus Moon that’s now invisible and beyond our ken, and we’re in this lovely, dark warm, slightly moist, cozy womb, and since it’s Taurus, we’re likely surrounded by warm soft blankets and throws, fuzzy slippers, and lots of good things to eat–mmm, why would we ever leave? Well, it’s a womb, for goodness sake, can’t stay here forever, and besides, once the Moon hits Gemini, we’re going to want to have a chat–and there’s just no inviting friends into the figurative uti for a sit-down. The point is, in the time between just chillaxin’ and the gabfest, there are a few things that might sneak up on us, so busy will we be sorting out all the green m & ms, crocheting booties, sipping hot chocolate, and napping with the kitty. Such vigorous lack of engagement may leave us open to . . . well, let’s see:

Mars/ Vesta opposed Neptune/ Chiron=this can make us feel that our actions, or our egos, are sacred–and when confronted with genuine hurt we are causing, or injury to others’ imaginations or creative product that stems from us, or when we are challenged to bring our skills to serve our ideals, we may lash out, hurt, or deceive the individual who’s actually just requiring us to put down our pretensions and be our best Self–don’t let this be you!

Mercury quincunx Ceres=powerful words and thoughts may glance right off us; if we can stay as attentive as is reasonable and possible, we will spot these messages as they occur, and we will gain mo-jo as a result.

Saturn quincunx Neptune=reality and fantasy collide; or, rather, they can’t occupy the same point in space and time, and that means trouble. The remedy here is simple, and a rule to live by: be willing to see reality for what it is, to embrace fantasy, but never to confuse the two.

Juno trine Chiron and square Uranus/ Jupiter, all at 00 degrees=empowerment comes from being able to face our hurts without flinching, and at the same time recognizing that compliance with certain societal requirements are necessary for support of our empowerment efforts–we can’t go it alone, and pointless rebellion or overdoing will undermine our search for relevance.

And it may go without saying, but if you have natal placements at 00 of any sign, watch that body!

Moon in Capricorn, My Weekend Astro Diary, NORWAC, real life astrology

Well, I almost went to NORWAC http://www.astrologyetal.com/NORWAC/index.htm; a couple of weeks ago I was totally up for it. I was ready to contact some people, buy tickets, and socialize. It certainly would’ve been great to hear, and perhaps meet, so many people I admire, and surely there’s a lot I could’ve learned. But then I hesitated, and when I hesitate I assume that it’s some part of me that knows better, that is telling me there’s something more suited to me–and though I’m enjoying the Twitter reporting, I’m really glad I didn’t go, as my day here at home has been wonderful, and all I really did was sleep in (dreaming about teeny tiny babies the size of eensy, shiny, white-curled shells, a human spiral) and then sit in the dining room where we have a big pine table and big windows that face the gardens, where I’ve watched the smallest hummingbird I’ve ever seen, a small, black-headed finch that lives somewhere in this corner of the yard–I see him all the time, and he even goes around there when I’m there, too–and the big black crows that love to bring bread to the stone bird bath and leave soggy bits in their wake. For me all this, the choosing of what seems illogical and even unproductive, over the logical and expected, is an example of how, even though there was something before me that seemed absolutely right (going to a professional conference), following my instincts was personally the ‘right’ thing to do. I try to follow my prompts every time they come forward, and I hope you will, too–it’s one of the most useful and Soul-supporting skills I ever developed.

Maybe my morning’s experience is just symptomatic of the Capricorn Moon’s contact to Ceres, offering me a chance to connect with Mother Nature. This contact, at 2:30 PMish PDT and lasting about two hours total, also brings a trine to Vesta, suggesting to me that this was my time of worship–and that others too have a chance to meld with what’s sacred to them, to enjoy home, or sex, or deep communion–not a bad way to kick off the weekend at all!

The evening Pacific time belongs to Pluto. In Capricorn this might bring forward intense but enjoyable times, as the emotional outlook of Moon conjunct Pluto is balanced by the Cap energy. Some serious (in the best sense) progress can be made in whatever area the conjunction occurs for you. A quincunx to the Sun 3 AMish PDT on the 30th (and see excerpts from ECLIPSE, below) suggests that the evening’s events will ask for some emotional reckoning via a reality check.

Starting around 8 AM PDT we have, in quick succession, the Moon square Zeus, conjunct the North Node and opposed Venus, then trine Mercury. This sets a tone of perhaps being presented with the obstacle to our ambition (or at least, being presented with how thwarted ambitions and desires make us feel), an emotional bellwether that gives a glimpse into the direction we’re headed, and just precisely what this may cost us if we continue (or bring us as a reward), and finally we may receive information or communicate ourselves concerning the life path, our options, and what we want. Could be a seminal moment in terms of re-defining ourselves to more readily express true intents and purpose. The rest of the day is dominated by this emotional scenario; use the knowledge that’s come forward, and the intuitions that have been offered, to make the most of things.

It’s not too late! Get your forecast for June and July, including commentary on the coming eclipses, in ECLIPSE! http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ Every purchase supports this blog and my work–Thank You!

Sagittarius Full Moon 27 May 2010: Cupid’s Arrow

Cupid, Eros, Full Moon, Sagttarius Full Moon

Earth and Moon conjunct at 4:06 PM PDT on the 27th at 6 Sagittarius 32, and once again *sigh* there’s none of the close aspecting (major aspects within 2 degrees) that makes for a sharp Full Moon picture; we’re thrown back on the Sabian symbol for imagery, ‘Cupid Knocks at the Door of a Human Heart’ http://www.cafeastrology.com/sabiansymbols_degreemeanings.html This is evocative of Love, with a Big ‘L,’ that comes a callin’–for hasn’t the Roman version of Eros changed his image from a big, strapping, virile young man, doing his mother’s bidding, screwing up (by infecting himself with his own ‘poisoned’ arrow), and falling in love with the most beautiful mortal around, into a cherub whose angelic demeanor and tiny, heart-shaped arrows take the beginning of love from a compelling erotic impulse to a cartoon of harmless infatuation? Do I think the Romans ruined Eros when they turned him into an aggressive, banner-wearing infant? You bet I do.

Though, to be fair, I think Cupid’s sanitization happened well after Roman times, the damage began early with the separation of the erotic (which is the attachment of the desire nature to a person or thing–literally, their objectification as a sexual outlet) and the romantic impulse of attraction, which is a nebulous ‘specialness’ we project on another, and we’re still suffering the price, with the erotic impulse seen as both x-rated and completely separate from the romantic one in popular culture. So what does the Sabian for this Full Moon imply? It suggests that a romantic impulse, which is really an impulse to acceptance and openness, is being offered to each one of us. Considering that this is a Full Moon, the realization may be about love that’s been available to us all along and which is now culminating in our ability to perceive and receive it.

Moon in Scorpio, My Daily Astrology Diary

With Vesta quincunx Uranus and Jupiter, and all but Jupiter at 29 degrees, we’re having our values (Vesta) challenged–not directly, but obliquely, as we receive demands disguised as gifts, and others seek to alleviate their own stress (those 29 degree placements). If ever there was a time when one individual or group sought to use another (not necessarily in a demeaning or inappropriate way, but definitely in a way that petitions for your time or energy, piggybacks on your efforts, or seeks to trade on your name) it’s now. Don’t adjust what’s sacred to you out of guilt or a wish to accomodate–you have a right to say no, to keep your energy for yourself–it’s your choice, and neither option is superior, morally, spiritually, or otherwise. The transiting Scorpio Moon hits Pallas noon-ish today PDT and we can follow emotions to the wisdom they contain.

An opposition to Mercury 3-4 ish just suggests we keep our mouths shut, to keep the peace (do I hear protests? Some should consider that others knowing your every thought is not the gift you might think it is! Just sayin’–and this from a blogger! )  🙂

8 PM PDT brings the Moon semi-sextile to Zeus and sextile the North Node. Some may feel a tad threatened (or be threatening) without really knowing why–limit reactivity and you limit any chance of fallout.

The Moon’s transit through Scorpio is always one of those times when people are more than usually prone to act from the subconscious–so careful observation can help clue you in to what they’re really after (or in need of), and can help you see the message behind the contact.

24-25 May 2010: The Hitch in Our Giddy-Up

23 Sunday May 2010

Moon in Libra, Moon in Scorpio, My Daily Astrology Diary

Around 8 AM PDT the Libra Moon aspects both Sedna (by quincunx) and Juno (by trine), and that makes for an unusual influence: we are feeling emotionally empowered, and that means sure of ourselves, especially regarding our relationships and our aesthetics (Libra), but we may find we must adjust our feelings to accommodate something we are sensing but not able to pinpoint (Sedna). This can make for confusion and an unsettling fear of commitment; we want to be definitive, say ‘yes,’ but something is bothering us, and it’s no where in sight. Know that the uneasiness is seated in our fear of being blindsided; it makes us alert, but the only people who might find an actual hitch in their giddy-up are those with natal placements at 21 degrees–if these receive a hard aspect from the Moon (placements at 21 of the Cardinals), Juno (21 of the Mutables), or Sedna (21 of the Fixed signs), then you can look to this natal energy or where it’s placed for the ‘hidden’ source of your uneasiness.

The Moon sextiles Mars around 11 AM PDT and we have the energy to attack whatever we get in our sights–it’s our job to make sure that’s a goal and not a helpless bystander, much less a partner or mate–Libra inclines us to channel the energy toward those with whom we have a co-operative relationship (or those from whom we think we should get co-operation). We can get caught up in the ‘who’ of things and miss the impetus for action; try not to.

Before 8 PM PDT the Moon quincunxes Jupiter, making us aware of how we must adjust emotionally to the social scene, and then the Moon trines Neptune, inclining some to a perfect experience, allowing fantasy and imagination to reign, and bringing ideal situations before us; a scant few will find themselves deluded, fooled, or outright lied to. Again, the Libra Moon makes us hyper-aware of the others in our lives, and we can either let Neptune bring out the best or the worst in us and our relationships.

10-ish the Moon sextiles Vesta and quincunxes Uranus, and we may respond by modifying our wilder or more  impetuous inclinations in order to respect something we find sacred–it’s an opportunity to walk our talk, and we should take it. Void begins at 11:09 PM PDT. The Moon enters Scorpio at 11:17 PM PDT, and immediately trines Chiron in Pisces, suggesting this will be a healing influence for those open to it; for a few it will be interpreted as a good time to play the martyr or wounded one–easy to sort the positive individuals from the not so.

3:30-ish AM PDT on the 25th brings a sextile to Ceres, followed by a 6 AM quincunx to the Sun, and an 8 AM sextile to Pluto. This series of aspects sends the emotional outlook into a tailspin, as we try to do the right thing and yet find we not only must adjust our attitudes (unfairly, it seems) but that no matter what our choices are, they have consequences that are equal parts destructive and transformative. By 10 AM the Moon trines Venus and we get the pay off, emotional (Water signs) or otherwise–and what a long strange trip it’s been.

See the latest issue of ECLIPSE here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ coordinated (with this blog and Twitter aspect influence Tweets) to bring the final piece to the forecast and current energies puzzle, ECLIPSE also offers in-depth articles on astrological theory and practice–only $2.95 every three months supports this new, exciting venture!

Uranus into Aries: What Does the Group Want?

21 Friday May 2010

Aries, Uranus, Uranus into Aries

As Uranus passed through Pisces, we spent a lot of time concentrating on how the individuality could serve the Collective; in fact, it became heresy to put too much emphasis on the Self. Statements of ‘I want’ were politically correct only when a want for the larger picture was included as well: “I want to be the next Lady Gaga, and cure world hunger, too!” Nothing wrong with that, just that we all began to sound like we were in the running for Miss America, with a lot of pressure to allow a sincere wish to help be almost our only public display of desire. At this time I’d like to blame it on Uranus in Pisces, naturally making the group/ Collective loom large in our consciousness. Higher Mind (Uranus) made us extremely aware of our interconnectedness (Pisces), and this was absolutely a positive evolutionary step–so what’s the next step, as Uranus enters Aries, the theoretical ‘beginning’ of the zodiac–and of course, hits the Aries Point, which has taken on almost mythical significance as a point of  extreme effect?

While Uranus was in Pisces, big goals and big canvasses were the style–we couldn’t just donate school supplies to the local elementary school, we had to gather money and supplies city-wide, then box them up and send them to Afghanistan–again, nothing wrong with this at all, but it’s precisely this kind of response to need, the kind and quality of innovation and progressive thought in solving problems, that I think will undergo a blanket change. With Uranus in Aries, the likely response may be that individual efforts will express a one-pointed group Will, and the effect will be that everyone must identify by their group and then assert their desires.

At first glance this seems terrible; the last thing we need is segregation by interests, financial status, nationality, or any of the other ugly ‘have and have not, are and are not’ strategies that have been employed in the past (and that are currently being peddled once again by Tea Partiers, among others). Yes, there is this regressive version of Self-motivated Uranian energy that will pop up–not everyone will lift themselves out of the mud, unfortunately–but I think the evolved version will actually be quite productive, introducing the idea of the citizen-soldier with the ability to lead the group as the identity of each member, not just as the identity of one or two.

This also might incorporate the idea of banding together without the kind of exclusivity that was popular during Uranus through Capricorn, where we judged judged judged other groups and drew strict boundaries according to some hardline Capricorn values. After the immense widening of our idea of the Collective of which we are a part and to and for which we are responsible in Uranus through Pisces, we come to this new stance as strong individuals who have forged our identity and can now act for and with the group without the need to close the clubhouse doors to keep out the riff-raff. Instead we are equipped to see to causes and forward the group agenda with the consciousness of Pisces as a backdrop, so that the individual Will works in tandem with the best interests of the whole–and the group identity simply becomes a loose affiliation of those with common interests who are equipped to aid each other, rather than a tight-knit circle that can’t see beyond their own noses.

Well, that’s what I think.

There’s more on Uranus into Aries here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ along with material on Chiron into Pisces, Ceres as a major energy and possible health indicator, the Sun/ Earth axis, Soul Purpose, and the material reality needed for development, couples synastry, a bonus article, the Forecasts for May, June, and July, and more!  Comes with a free mini-reading on Ceres in your natal chart, prepared by me.

Moon, Moon in Leo, Moon in Libra, Moon in Virgo, My Weekend Astro Diary

The Leo Moon dives into mischief late in the 1 PM hour PDT today, the 20th, with a conjunction to Vesta and opposition to Neptune, and just prior to this quincunxes to Jupiter, then Uranus, and finally forms a Grand Cross with Neptune and the Sun/ Earth axis. We may feel very sincere, willing to dedicate our energies to our ideals and making them realities, but somehow, it seems the world isn’t co-operating! Likely we’ll find that what we’re seeing as indifference is more like each individual following their own Vestal impulse–and that leaves little push for co-operation or giving adequate consideration to the wider social order. Best to do what you can on your own, take notes about what you might want to accomplish in future, then chill through a 20 minute Void ending at 4:58 PM as the Moon enters Virgo.

The Moon then opposes Chiron–oww! Details or criticisms stomp on our feelings–or our own sensitivity makes us lash out at others. A sextile to Venus follows–and we make up with ourselves and others. Trines to Ceres, Pluto, and the North Node in succession, and a trine to Mercury, create a Grand Trine with the Moon several hours either side of the midnight hour PDT. If you’re out and about at this time meaningful and transformative communications can flow, revealing emotions for better or worse, and bringing questions of power forward (though likely without struggle–here’s your chance to form a co-operative venture and get some agreement). This will be the general atmosphere through the rest of the 21st–despite any heavier aspects in play, this could turn out to be a very productive day, when others turn out to be (surprisingly!) reasonable. The Sun/ Earth axis does square Chiron today–fair play might be in the air because everyone will be afraid of being hurt, and of what they might lose.

Around 1 AM PDT on the 22nd the Virgo Moon squares Juno–all that co-operation goes by the wayside, replaced by one side trying to exercise power options and the other reacting with criticism, barbs, and/ or the hurling of insults or objects. The reaction is out of proportion, and should be met by ignoring the whole thing. Live to fight (and triumph) another day. By 5 AM the Moon trines Sedna, and we find it easy to be emotionally (and perhaps intuitively) blind. While that may save some of us from getting into a fix, it may mean that some of us find trouble by NOT being responsive. The best we can do with Sedna is feel our way through–so attentiveness and good judgment will be key.

Starting around 2 PM PDT, the opposition to Jupiter and conjunction to Saturn bring the Virgo Moon front and center of our awareness, as we suppress reaction and emotion (and maybe intuition) as some force tries to pull out of us big, exaggerated response. Why do we resist? Perhaps because what the outer instigator seems to present to us is threatening, promising that any feeling at all may be out-of-control. Much here will depend upon how this fits in to your natal scenario; if contact happens to come from Saturn to your chart, you could be looking at an internal stand-off. In any case, this aspect brings forward the emotional repercussions of the Jupiter/ Saturn opposition for you individually, and it may be a save or splurge scenario that challenges our emotional viewpoint.

The Moon opposes Uranus in their respective 29th degrees, beginning 5:30 PM-ish PDT, and we may get a shock through rebellion, ‘Higher Mind,’ innovation, or the audacity of the group in asking something of us. Roll with it–the Void begins 7:34 PM PDT, so any upset, resistance, or fight could peter out to nothing or go awry in ways we just can’t anticipate. Better to roll issues over to the Moon’s entry into Libra 7:50 PM PDT on the 22nd, though caution is necessary here, too, with the prompt quincunx to Chiron and the squares to Ceres, Pluto, and Venus–which actually create a T-square with the Moon–will Libra bring some balance to our emos, or will we continue to feel like we’re swinging out of control? The T will definitely be a challenge, possibly bringing a feeling that we’re just trying to go along and get along while it feels like others are flashing their power plays and wants, perhaps jealous in a way we never expected. It’s time to do your best, Libra-gracious smile-and-nod, and let those acting out parts in the opposition (playing Venus, or confronting her as Ceres or Pluto) do their thing. When the dust settles you can step back in, pretty things up, offer something to drink, and work diplomatic magic that all participants will be grateful for. The early trine to the Sun helps, lighting the way for those paying attention.

The Moon quincunxes Mercury late in the AM 8 o’clock hour of the 23rd, perhaps making us incautious with our words–the tendency may be to speak out with good intentions and no harm intended, only to really put our foot in it. Just a word to the wise, that not everyone partners in our thoughts as we think they do, from the overly chummy Libra Moon.

By 3:30-ish PM PDT proceeds to a conjunction with Zeus and square to the Nodal axis–will the power plays ever end? And why do our ambitions seem to threaten our life direction? Maybe it’s because we may be inclined to plow over others in our zest to see our ambitions or lusts fulfilled (thanks, Zeus!)

By 7 PM-ish PDT the Moon trines Juno and quincunxes Sedna. What is it that we’re missing about the situation as we attempt to empower ourselves? We may not ever be able to figure out the ‘whys’ here, we just need to know that it’s not quite working. And by 11 PM the Moon sextiles Mars, making for a frisky, romantic feeling, and a nice way to wrap up this rather trying weekend.

I think I’ll continue to administer the ECLIPSE orders myself; though it added some work to my day (clearly, the gods decided I’m not doing enough!) I really enjoyed it and was able to write a personal note on each order. Go here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-eclipse-spring-2010/ to get your Spring issue of ECLIPSE, with articles and a 3 month Forecast designed to co-ordinate with information available on the blog and with aspect commentary provided on Twitter. There’s a different, free offer with each journal purchase (this time: a mini-reading of Ceres in your chart, prepared by me)–it’s the closest you can come to having a personal astrologer for only $2.95 every three months!

And have a great weekend!

Today’s Link: Here’s some useful guidance http://ravenesque.net/2010/05/daphne-ceres-and-pluto/ I’ll be back later with a post. Until then, I hope you’re very well, very happy, that yesterday wasn’t any trauma, and that you got a few good surprises, as well!
